The Limeport deserves five stars because overall they have everything a restaurant should hope to have. An authentic atmosphere with a touch of modernity makes it charming yet hip and cool. Our service has always been wonderful, and being a server myself you know I'm going to be very skeptical. But each time I have been there our server has been so nice, friendly, and helpful. They make you feel very welcomed. And to top of my experience, the food is absolutely out of this world. The last time I went, I had maple roasted duck with vegetable stir fry. It was absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend. To top it off I got Nutella peanut butter cheesecake. Folks, this is seriously the best cheesecake I have ever had. It is so unlike all other cheesecakes. They make it so light and fluffy it literally will melt in your mouth. And a quick side note: we've ordered pizzas here togo before and they really aren't that much more expensive than most and it is to die for! So whether you are trying to grab a quick bite on a Friday night or going out for a special occasion the limeport will surely be able to satisfy your needs... And cravings :)

This is the prettiest outdoor patio you'll find in the Lehigh Valley, large with plenty of seating amidst the tranquil sound emanating from the sizable water-feature. The interior is a bit dated, both in the dining rooms and bar area - but that's part of the charm. It's not "over-designed" like many of the restaurants in The Promenade and City Center Allentown. Very relaxing, and easy to pick up on bar conversations with an interesting mix of folks. Diverse food choices, lots of full entrees, personal pizzas, bar menu. I had a great seafood appetizer trio, a nice well-priced Pinot Noir, and a fantastic fresh peach-centric dessert. Out of town guests - particularly New Yorkers - like coming here throughout the year for the nice blend of ambiance and good food at reasonable prices and a very friendly staff. The food is good, but it's not Bolete quality - thus the lack of a 5th star.

Limeport Inn holds a special place in my heart. I took my wife their for our first date over 6 years ago, and we make it a point to go there every year, at least once. I give them an extra star just for nostalgia. Firstly we love the ambience. Whether you sit outside during the summer, early fall or inside during winter it is charming. Inside it is an old inn with a cosy, relaxed atmosphere you would love. And outside, a pretty little garden with string lights and wrought iron furniture has a distinct european charm to it. The service there has always been spot on. The wait staff are always knowledgable and offer good suggestions. They do not rush you. The food comes at a leisurely pace and most often than not satisfies you. My only complaint is their menu.It has not changed in 5 years! And between the two of us, we have probably had every appetizer on their menu and most of their entrees. Our favorite is the 3-2-1 sampler. You will absolutely love the bacon wrapped scallops, the lobster fritter and fried brie cheese. The scallops are well cleaned, succulent and goes perfectly with the crispy, salty bacon. The lobster fritter comes on a vanilla based sauce and is quite nice. Their menu has a pub fare, pizza and a standard entree sections. Our favorite from the pub fare is the Brie grilled cheese with pork belly. Sometimes they have a burger special and is consistently good. They also have a list of gourmet pizzas, which are quite wonderful. Freshly made, nice, crispy thin crust. Fresh mozarella cheese and herbs. Good sauces. A must try if you are in the mood. If you are not in the mood for pubfood, their entrees will surely satisy you. My favorite is the rack of lamb served over a mint, pear chutney and goat cheese mash. I go for the full rack and it is sumptous. Perfectly cooked, nicely rendered fat, juicy and seasoned to perfection. My wife loves their chicken parm and seared scallops. Their grilled filet mignon is also worth trying. My earnest request to them is to keep changing their menu. I am confident their chef will continue to surprise. They are not a farm to table restaurant, but their food is always fresh and flavorful. Overall, limeport inn is a charming experience, whether you are out for a date night or a casual time with friends, they have it all.

Yum! I went with a regular and what an experience. I had a hard time deciding what to order because it all sounded good. We went with the 18 month old who was a bit on the tired and hungry side. They brought her a bowl full of goldfish and some soda bread right away which helped ease the situation. The adults all started with a shared house made mozzarella covered in pretzels--delicious. The child had the chicken and crab over mash with asparagus. The adults are more of her meal than she did because it was divine. The toddler had enough at this point so they generously packed out mains to go. Prime rib, a Cowboy steak, and a white pizza. I didn't taste the prime rib. The steak was amazing and the pizza was the best of the bunch. 100 percent getting a pizza to myself next time. Cute atmosphere of quaint little rooms. Popular on a Sunday night. It looked like there was a great terrace for summer nights but obviously was closed due to the recent snowstorm.

I got to try out this restaurant by accident. A family member passed away and the luncheon was at this restaurant. A few things... Cons: - the parking lot is horrendous, needs to be repaved or better taken care of - no signs for the small bumps, the inclines as you are walking through the restaurant. - one bathroom for ladies?? Really! Get one more put in. Pros: - homemade chips were amazing. Perfectly crispy, great spice on them! - the Reuben was delicious. Just the right amount of coleslaw - our waiter was was awesome and very attentive I would come here again if I am ever out in this area again.

Nice except for the two cats that have the run of the place and approach diners for handouts.

Atmosphere...great! Food...great!... Two $$? Not really. I would definitely give this place $$$ for it's menu. The bar food looked more reasonable. The outdoor patio was really nice, although we didn't get to sit out there. This place is in the middle of nowhere but worth going to

Hadn't been to Limeport in over a year and we went back last night. Wish I hadn't waited so long. Good food and good drinks in a charming country setting. Food was absolutely delicious. Starting with salads, Limeport makes all of their own dressings. I particularly love the sesame soy, tasty and light without that heavy sticky taste I have experienced at some of the chains. For entrees, I had seared scallops with soba noodles, and the scallops were done perfectly, delicious. I tried a bite of my husband's salmon, and it was also excellent. I will be back soon. It is a good place to go on a weeknight because they serve a pub/lighter fare menu that has entree salads and sandwiches, making it ideal if you don't want a huge meal.

Beautiful courtyard, food, service was excellent. Very enjoyable evening! Most impressed was the precision in delivering the food as one course ended, the next arrived, no rushing. Definitely a go back to place!

I live very close to the Limeport and feel extremely lucky to have it near. It is great on 2 different levels. If you are looking for a place to have a drink with friends their bar is cool and not too big and has great selections (and excellent pub food). But, if you're looking for an excellent meal in the Lehigh Valley, especially if you are south of the 78 corridor, then there are likely few places you can find in a very large radius that will match the Limeport for quality. Excellent service and a really fine menu. And because of the layout, the restaurant and bar feel like separate entities and thus you don't feel like you're in a fancy restaurant when at the bar, but when at the restaurant it feels like fine dining and not like a pub. It's worth the trip for both states of mind.

The Limeport Inn is a traditional country restaurant serving a mix of upscale and pub fare in a cozy cottage setting. The inside is decorated in a traditional country style with a large bar area and several separate dinning rooms. There is a large neatly landscaped back patio with two different water features. The menu is diverse with a wealth of appetizers, entrees, sandwiches, and artisan pizzas. We sat outside on a warm summer evening and were pleasantly surprised with the entire setting. We started with a white pizza with red onions and a balsamic drizzle. The large pizza was big enough for our 6 person party to enjoy as tasty starter. The crust was crunchy without being too stiff, the cheese was flavorful, and the onion and balsamic put it over the edge. We enjoyed a nice salad course and our entrees arrived. Our party had a mix of entrees and sandwiches. Everyone seemed to be happy with their food and very little was left when we finished. The party had a salmon salad, pulled pork sandwich, a fillet, scallops, and a salmon wrap. Personally, I enjoyed a piece of Hawaiian monchong over a bead of house prepared ramen noodles in a savory fish broth. Some chose to have dessert including cheese cake, carrot cake, and several flavors of ice cream. Overall each option was well prepared. Overall, the service was attentive, but it appears that this is not the type of place you go if you are in any sort of rush. Our experience at the Limeport Inn was very enjoyable and we would absolutely head back sometime in the near future.

Great food and nice location, when the weather allows we like to sit outside.

If you're trying to get to this restaurant, most gps will not be helpful. You need to put in coopersburg or upper saucon. After a few GPS tries, and I know the area, I called the restaurant and was put on hold 3 times . I was called back after we were already seated. Since there had been no open reservations outside we were seated in a small dining room on the opposite side of the hall from the bar and pub. Charmingly decorated and intimate. The menu was excellent, priced well and the food well prepared and offered many selections. The lobster corn fritters were perfectly done but should have just been corn fritters. Regardless they were wonderful. The 1,2,3 appetizer was excellent as well. The puta and humors did not come until after the appetizers were finished but that was just the inexperience of the lovely but clueless server. Scallops were delicious. Salmon was perfectly prepared and the potato side has the taste of fresh potato which is rarely found in a restaurant today. The seared tuna came out perfectly as well. We passed on dessert although the choices seemed inviting. Not overpriced for what you got. Definitely a go back to. The 35 minute ride was well worth it. The only minor complaint was service.

arrived just after 5 on a Saturday. Not busy other than a few at the bar, yet a party of 4 is totally ignored. No one was interested in sitting us. We should have taken that as a hint and left. we tried the pizza, appetizers, wraps and pot pie. the pot pie was the best of what we ordered. Service was lack luster. Expensive for the location. Will not go back.

There this afternoon for anniversary lunch with husband on a recommendation from a colleague. So glad we tried it! We sat outside on the lush patio- a little cooler than comfortable when the sun wasn't out, but still lovely. We started with a shared Thai chicken cups- fantastic. I made the comment that I wished I could "cook like that"- the chicken was the perfect balance of smokey and sweet. The lettuce was an afterthought, but good as far as lettuce goes. Next, we split two lunch sandwiches- the Ruben and the Sweet Potato and Quinoa Burger with Key Lime Chipolte Aioli. Both home runs- I now regret giving my husband the bigger piece of the Quinoa burger! Sandwiches served with homemade potato chips, which were crispy and perfectly seasoned. Last, we topped it all off with a shared piece of vanilla cheesecake (it's our anniversary, after all) and I'm sorry to say this was the one place lunch was a disappointment. The cheese cake was very dry, though the vanilla notes were clear, and the crust had an unappealing rancid oil flavor. Should have gone with the creme brulee! My husband is not as picky about these things as I, so that plate also went back to the kitchen cleared. I was regretting letting the lovely lingering flavors of the main courses be replaced with sub-par cheesecake and longed for just one more bite to get them back! Our total was just over $40- not bad for a nicer full lunch. Most items on the menu are around $10 and well worth at least double! We look forward to returning to the Limeport Inn in the near future.

This is one of our favorite places to eat! We come here with friends about once a month and often get items from the pub fare or the daily specials. Don't miss the homemade chips. My favorite wrap is the blackened salmon with the jerky mayonnaise. Not a drinker but I understand the drinks are pricey. Service is always good. I love how they have classic American with an upscale fusion twist.

Limeport is my family's home away from home! We have eaten here at least 30+ times (actually may be a far underestimate) so that speaks for itself. WONDERFUL food, drinks and service all at a very reasonable price. Our favorites are the 3-2-1 appetizer (it's the Angels on Horseback-bacon wrapped scallops, crab cake and Fried Brie En Croute) and the calamari. Favorite salad is the baby Spinach with red onion, sunflower seeds, blue cheese, and dried cherries- yum! We have tried just about each entree but cannot stray from either the Soy-Glazed Sea Bass (the best Sea Bass you will ever have! Hands down.) or the Indian Spice Rubbed New Zealand Lamb Rack (4-5 thick cuts served with mint jelly and garlic mash). The portion sizes are generous and the flavors and quality are very consistent. Desserts are also divine! All fresh from the owner's wife. Try the peanut butter pie- my husband who could literally live off the stuff says this is his favorite peanut butter dessert by a mile. I cannot say enough great things about Limeport. It is a MUST try if you have never been. Fantastic people with wonderful food and drinks to back them! What else can I say but if you don't like the place, there is something wrong with you ;)

I am very fussy when it comes to food. I order take out pizza here a few times a month. I also eat in the bar every couple of weeks, never ate in the dining room. The food is great, the service is top notch. Their pizza is the best in the valley. Making a pizza isn't rocket science but why do so many places turn out inedible garbage? Limeport Inn is one of the few places that gets it right, thin tasty fresh crust, and quality cheese, and fresh ingredients. The chefs there know what the hell they're doing.

Two and a half stars. Stopped in to meet Uncle Alfred here on the way back from Karen's graduation. Small parking lot behind the ivy-overgrown patio trellis. Loved the homey decor, the building exterior matched the interior, it was like entering someone's summer cottage for a nice dinner. My biggest gripe was the whole bit about arriving on time for the 4 pm dinner reservation, then being told that the kitchen hadn't been ready for the early transition, and in fact had already stopped taking lunch orders. Major disconnect somewhere in the communication. So we basically sat around drinking water for an hour until the kitchen was willing to crank out the dinner menu. Once the food came out, it became a trial to flag down any service even though customers were sparse and we'd been regulated to a private dining area by the kitchen. With that said, the grub was alright. Not mind-blowing, but I picked a conventional "lite fare" item that tends to have less effort put into it in the first place. Probably should've gotten a pasta entree as my companions recommended, but I was craving something a little more robust on protein. I appreciated that the menu's upfront about cooking them to medium well instead of to order, and to their credit it was still fairly tasty. My Black Angus burger was conservative on bacon (which was undercrisped), fresh on tomato/onion/lettuce, and pleasantly balanced by the smoked Gouda. Came with a side of seriously bangin' homemade kettle chips. No remaining grease drippings, no premature staling-- crispy, golden brown, seasoned perfectly with salt and pepper and still hot from the fryer. Godly, but not justification enough to haul myself back to the middle of nowhere on the chance they can replicate the execution. Ah, almost forgot the apps we passed around... SpongeBob SquarePants genocide gone wrong. The panko-crusted Maryland crab cakes were hot and soft to cut through, not terribly savory and actually outshone by the bed of organic greens. I can only imagine it would be discordant with the pickled Napa slaw it was advertised with in its description. Calamari were cooked to golden but steaming away the crisp even as it arrived to the table, and the salt and pepper of the description was hardly to be found except for faint traces in the batter. Shrimp duo was also outshone by its decorative salad bed, though the tempura traveled better to our table than its squiddy plate-neighbors. Ended the early evening with a plain dessert split with WD. Overly heavy on canned whipped cream, a little too easy on the fleck-less vanilla ice cream. Cubes of angel food cake were fluffy and still fresh enough to be lightly moist. Halved strawberries were soft and warm from the stove, not that sweet since it was early in the season. Part of me wishes this was a getaway destination, but the less-than-inspired dining and extremely disappointing service level will probably keep me away unless I happen to be lost in PA.

Recently went for dinner with my wife. The parking lot was dark but other than that, no other substantial complaints. This has the feeling of old country inns where your experience with ambiance may differ depending on which of the many rooms you are seated. We were seated in what felt like a covered porch with a huge street level window. It was a good room. Cozy. Now for the food... Perfect medium rare prime rib. Will be back several times this winter. Friends tell us to come back in the summer and eat outside. Will do.

I just so happened to come across the Limeport Inn as the result of a Google search and I am so happy I did. It's a lovely, quaint and charming restaurant in an area near Bethlehem, yet it seems miles and miles away. The first time, I visited with two friends for lunch and we sat on the patio in the back of the restaurant. It's really serene and tranquil, with a fountain and foliage. I enjoyed the house salad, with spring baby greens, sprouts, cucumbers and tomatoes. It was a large salad and an excellent, fresh starter. For my meal, I had the margherita pizza, with mozzarella, extra virgin olive oil, fresh basil, sliced tomatoes and parmesan. It was a huge portion and it was absolutely delicious and flavorful. The second time, I came for lunch with a friend and her mother, and we sat inside at a cozy table. I loved my grilled cheddar and smoked gouda sandwich with pesto mayo on Texas toast. It came with homemade chips, which were crisp and delicious, and a good alternative to french fries. The last time I visited was for my graduation dinner with my family. We had many appetizers, entrees and various pizzas. Everyone was pleased with their meals and we had a good time and were never rushed. This restaurant has an extensive menu, with lighter fare, salads, pizzas and entrees. The drink menu is also fairly complex. I love it for its quaint and pleasant setting. I would highly recommend it.

Stopped in for dinner, no reservations but we were early enough that it wasn't a problem. She had the Reuben which came with home-made chips. Chips were great, and the Rueben was also excellent. Nice lean corned beef on swirled rye/pumpernickel bread. I had a Lobster pot pie. It had a very light pastry puff on top of fresh vegetables. There were nice size chunks of lobster meat and claw meat. Very good. I also tried their Chocolate Martini, and found it to be one of the better ones I've tried in the area. The atmosphere was, very nice. Our server was attentive and informative with a pleasant attitude. We will go back. Will try the peaceful outdoor courtyard dining next time if weather permits.

Love the setting of this unique old building on a rural road and was happy to find out that the food inside was just as nice. Great cozy bar area in case of time to kill before dinner reservations and the menu had decent variety and was good quality. Not trying to be frilly michelin star but definitely will repeat a visit there. Also a side note - we were with a small group but noticed private functions in the side rooms with lovely holiday decorations - looked like a great option!

We've been here twice now, and must say that the goat cheese dip is fantastic! Must have. Entrees have all been delicious as well. Service has been top notch both visits. We'll be back again.

Based on many reviews here, it seemed like the Limeport Inn was what I was looking for for a pleasant outdoor meal before Pennsylvania's summer gets us all soupy and sweaty... And the Inn did not disappoint. This is nice country inn dining. Unstuffy feel... People outside were in hoodies and shorts and jeans. They have upscale food choices if you wish, and down to Earth pub fare if you prefer. We cannot tell you a thing about the Inn's interior because all our ambiance was absorbed in their lovely back outside compound with a tranquil fountain and ferns galore, set under old trees. We were charmed to be visited by a lovely grey young barn cat who lives in the structure behind this patio, and who enjoyed some of my scallops. Our servers were pleasant and attentive without being intrusive, and we were seated and given menus and offered drinks quickly. We were given pita wedges and some very mild sour cream and spring onion hummus while we scoped the menu. The very old school offering of scallops wrapped in bacon was renamed poetically as "angels on horseback" and that was my appetizer, served with cocktail sauce I ignored so I could enjoy the subtle taste of the scallops which seemed fresh, or in any case, not rubbery. My companion enjoyed a veg pizza as the main course, while I opted for fish and chips, which came with the best tartar sauce I've ever had- none of your pickle relish here, just creamy dill goodness. The thick cut fries were not a huge pile, but enough that I was satisfied and able to share. Ditto the fish, four pieces nicely done, not greasy at all, and just enough for me... and some for our shy four footed visitor as well. Not sure if my drink is representative of most of their drinks, but the hand that poured it was pleasantly judicious without going overboard, and very sizeable indeed. If you are vegetarian, you will probably choose from the smoked veggie stack salad, the veg spring rolls, or one of the pizzas. They are willing and able to flex ingredients as needed too. If you are low carbing, you'll not have issues except maybe skipping the starch served with your meal. The salad offerings are plentiful too. Though I only cheated a bit with a few fries, one drink and 3 pita wedges, I shoved some sugar free gum in my mouth before I could ask for the dessert offerings. Between the picturesque setting, the good meal, the setting sun and overall vibe, we had a lovely time, and think the Limeport Inn is worth your time. It feels "out there" but is very close to Allentown /Emmaus so you get the country pleasures without investing a lot of time. We'll be back for sure.
