Small local place with a menu that can suit a variety of tastes including vegetarian and vegan. I am in LOVE with the banana rum pancakes that are precisely as good as they sound. We have eaten breakfast there a number of times and love that we can take the dogs to the cafe tables on the street and enjoy a cup of coffee and a delicious breakfast.

What a snazzy place! I went here with my boyfriend for our first date a couple years ago. We both got the marinated steak panini and Italian sodas. So relaxing to eat out on the porch on a mild Spring day. Their savory crepes are also delicious and fresh, and they are packed with ingredients: spinach, BACON, mushrooms, and cheese! You only really need one.

Went here for breakfast while visiting. Delish! I love that you can order just one slice of French toast, pancake, etc! Had the rum butter walnut pancakes - they were great. Everyone liked their meal choices. The only issues we encountered were with the drinks - cappuccino watery and tea water not hot.

I Love this place. Super friendly staff and healthy yummy food. I feel at home. My favorite is the savory crepe.

What a difference today was! As I walked in, I was greeted by a very friendly guy...and he was helpful when I asked what I should order...food was great...I saw the same guy from last year who had just stared at me, but thankfully, he wasn't at the front counter. Funny how great service makes food taste better. :)

Awful. The tofu scramble was a salty mess of an excuse for food. We sent the food back, received an insincere apology and replacement food that was really no better. What shame - the place had so much potential. At least we got our money back.

I had the hummas plate for lunch before a meeting and had to come back for the best coffee in the universe; the statement was no lie. Great staff, food, and coffee what more can you ask for. If you are in Lewisburg this is a must stop.

I went to Cherry Alley last Saturday (and have gone a MILLZ time before that when I went to Bucknell -- graduated in '12!). Ugh I miss this place. Definitely reccommend for breakfast if you're in the area! RESTAURANT OVERVIEW: -Super cute outside - they have 1 or 2 tables outside on the porch -Order at the counter in the front room -Tables in the backroom - seat yourself (& clean up after yourself too) -They always have local art for sale hanging on the walls and change them out routinely FOOD: -I usually get the egg sandwich or I get a build your own omelette - both are good options and come with potatoes on the side -They have almond milk for coffee SERVICE: -When it's crowded during the school year, it can definitely be a bit of a wait to get your food -Last Saturday there were maybe 4 other tables sitting near us, and we got our food in a timely manner

I came here today after a visit to Bucknell. I ordered the chicken pesto panini and my daughter had the marinated steak panini. Both our paninis were well made. My chicken had a hearty amount of pesto and the ciabatta bread was pressed very nicely - a great crunch in every bite. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her panini too. My wife said her falafel was very tasty too. Just a forewarning, the ordering service can be somewhat slow. Get a table first, or have someone wait for a table to open while you are ordering (of course, if you are alone, you can't do this). Despite the wait, I think it's worth it.

One of my favorite spots Love the atmosphere, the decor is very inviting I had the best Raspberry Latte there

The place is cute and there are vegetarian options. They have free water but there's no ice and it's warm. I ordered the grilled tofu without lettuce, tomatoes, and cabbage. It was decent. The sauce was a nice touch.

This place is fine - 5 stars for cuteness. (It seems that locals can bring their own coffee mugs, and store them in a caddy on the wall. Cute - but, how do they get washed?) But, 2 stars for food and service. I was passing through town and stopped here for lunch. The two servers behind the counter seemed completely overwhelmed. Granted, it was just past the lunch rush, so I'm sure they were trying to play catch-up. But, as someone who has worked in a restaurant, that's just kind of the way it goes, right? Don't make me feel panicked for you because you are discombobulated. Anyway, the server took my order like 3 times (because he was so discombobulated that he kept forgetting). I watched him write the build-your-own-sandwich down correctly. But, the sandwich I got was not what I ordered. (It's not that hard, people.) So that was disappointing. But, beyond that, the sandwich was a little gross. Bread slightly stale. And, one of the cheese I ordered on the sandwich - which I envisioned, y'know, as sliced deli style cheese? No, it was grated. Like from a bag. Not so cool. But, you know - points for cute.

The staff was very friendly, but the atmosphere wasn't so enjoyable, and the coffee wasn't worth the price.

The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was excellent. Everyone in our group was satisfied. I had an omlette with swiss cheese, spinach and bacon- delicious!! Thank you, yelp, for this wonderful breakfast find for us out towners.

Very cool place- the only setback - finding street parking. Definitely recommend checking it out if you can! Friendly staff, cozy and cool atmosphere, working wifi.

Is it a coffee shop that has good food, or a restaurant that has good coffee? All I'm sure of is that my coffee was tasty and so was my breakfast. Huevos Rancheros with some fresh, in-season hot peppers added to give it just the right amount of morning kick. Delicious. I had a hard time deciding between several equally compelling items, so I'll just have to return when I'm in the area.

Good food, cool vibe but the place was so cold everyone had to wear coats inside. Wouldn't go back until spring

There has not been a time when I have stopped at Cherry Alley Cafe that I haven't enjoyed a cup or bowl of their vegetarian soup of the day. One I had last year was tomato based and used plantains. It was terrific. I have taken my parents and husband and sister; it has pleased my whole family. I know I can count on this cafe and have no reason to stop anywhere else when I am in Lewisburg.

Was visiting and clued into this place by someone in the Historical Society. it was a great place to take a break and have some lunch. Low key, no frills college coffee house atmosphere with fresh, tasty food. If I ever get back there, I'll definitely stop by again. Thanks guys!

Nice little place. I picked up a sandwich for lunch. They had a lot of good choices on the menu. The place was incredibly busy but they brought out my order rather quickly and the quality was very good, everything was fresh and well made.

Good local coffee shop, also offering breakfast, which you order at the counter. Coffee was good, as was the food, but lack of fruit juices limited the breakfast experience somewhat. Ambience is very good, replete with local artwork.

On our way back from Annapolis to Toronto we decided to stop here as it is almost exactly the 1/2 way mark, time wise. We enjoyed it a lot - great atmosphere and great crepe - should've had more food, now that I think about it! 4 stars as it compares very well to similar venues it Toronto - a stronger coffee would've earned it a 5! Will definitely stop again when going through Lewisburg and it will weigh in greatly in the decision of which way to travel through PA next time.

Was there in Lewisburg for a Wedding and ate here twice. Really great make your own sandwiches - chipotle mayo is a must. The Breakfast burrito (minus the rice) was pretty drippy and liquid-y but still tasted good. They need to stock some better hot sauce but it was edible. Great for the area!

We had breakfast. It was very good although I'm not a big fan of garlic in my home fries. Trendy kind of place but good food and friendly.

Great coffee, great food and great atmosphere. Despite being in Pennsylvania, it really felt like a west coast café with a very relaxed feel. I would me comfortable spending hours there reading or studying, as long as I could keep the great coffee and food coming.

Cherry Alley cafe was a pretty neat stop. You walk in the front room (waiting area/ coffee bar) and order your food, you are given a number and select a table. Really friendly staff and cool atmosphere, haha even some tables have games built into the top, such as scabble. We tried the grilled chicken pesto panini (7.00) and a veggie tofu wrap (6.50), bown of chili (2.95) . Cherry Alley seemed like it was a really popular spot for nearby Bucknell University students, it was packed to the brim. There are about 12 tables inside and 3 outside on the porch. Very friendly towards vegans and vegitarians.

Disappointing. Rancid oil made potatoes inedible. Got stomach ache after a few forkfuls of scrambled tofu. Latte was weak to the point of wondering if it was caffeinated at all. Pancake was doughy and inedible. Eggs were dry. And to add insult to injury, service was extraordinarily slow!

So very disappointed! I was all looking fwd to try this place after reading all the review, but the service is just so very poor. We ordered 2 things, but the smoke salmon bagel was out and the other was not actually available at all. And the service was unreasonably slow and inefficient. The way that It was set up, the server spent more time looking for the table who ordered the food than actually doing anything helpful. We accidentally spilled water and stood there hoping to get some help, but no one even looked at us. After an hr, the spill was still there. Seriously? Like I said, the whole set up was super inefficient. The food was decent. I would come back if the service was better. But over 1/2 hr wait for a simple omelette and crepe is very unreasonable in my mind. People here think this place is great probably because this is the only one around this area. But seriously, this place would have never survived in the cities that I have lived. No way. And the price? Over price for the service. Not coming back for sure. The decor was ok. I think it tried to be hippy, but I have been to too many much better coffee place to care for this...

Stopped here on my way from dc to buffalo, NY. Cute local coffee shop with tasty affordable food. If your traveling, it definitely takes more time than Arby's but if your a foodie... It's worth the time and its a nice break from the car. Sweet and savory crepes were delish along with the balsamic reduction on the greens. Locally grown, fresh ingredients for under $10 per person... Love it (granted I'm from dc where you pay a premium for the fresh stuff). Keep up the good work!

I practically live here every time I'm visiting Lewisburg. I stopped in here four times over the course of last weekend, and that was only partially because it was situated between my temporary home and campus. GREAT cafe vibe - friendly staff and a cozy, yet spacious and bustling seating area. Coffee is yummy and they have a menu crammed full of delicious items from breakfast sandwiches to omelets to salads to sandwiches - and cover most every taste bud and dietary restriction. I follow Cherry Alley on Facebook for updates on menu items and special events, so when I'm headed up to Lewisburg, I catch up and start salivating early. Delivery of food can be a little slow, so I would not recommend stopping in for a breakfast sandwich when you are in a rush (as I did last Saturday morning), but that particular situation aside, the food is worth the wait.

Service greatly lacking. Too long to get food. In winter, food comes cold.

Vegan & vegetarian options as well as carnivore-friendly fare, the coffee is good, and the service/atmosphere is fantastic! Definitely check it out! The burrito, crepes, and vegan cookies in particular... :)

First, the coffe at Cherry Alley is still the best in the Central Susquehanna Valley as they buy from a local roaster who once owned the place. I won't buy beans anywhere else. The food, however, is variable and depends on who is cooking on the day and can range from very good to marginal. The quality has declined a bit in the last couple of years overall in my experience.

I absolutely love this place. It's so warm, homey, & inviting, & it tends to grow on you more & more with time. When I'm in the area, I'll usually stop by to meet an old friend here for lunch or brunch, or will sometimes end up here with my family after a long day of doing whatever! ;-) I've heard that they also have a few fun social events scheduled here, & there are also board games which you can play while you eat. They've got great wraps, omelettes, & good beverages as well. There's a good assortment of different types of food -- many with a creative flair & health-oriented focus -- & it's just the kind of modern & on-point place that's perfect for "the new Lewisburg." :) Thank goodness for this restaurant!

Should you find yourself in Lewisburg, PA, this is a delicious little gem off of the main drag. The breakfast burrito and steak panini were group favorites. Avoid the pancakes - they tasted like 75% flour. Great option for a quick affordable lunch with tasty food and cafe atmosphere.

Really good, original food. Great service. Friendly staff. Nice seating area I was there with my 12yo and they loaned us pencil to do his homework. The tofu wrap was REALLY good. .

I love their grilled tofu wrap! It is also such a nice place to study (quiet and cozy)! I have yet to explore their menu as I discovered the place towards the end of the semester....but I definitely will be going there a lot next year!

Love this place. Comfy, homey, friendly, and with a fantastic selection of food and beverages. Very vegan friendly, with multiple options for both meals and snacks. Their tofu scrambles are yum, and you get the option of getting greens with them instead of toast. Their grilled veggie panini (sans cheese for me) is fantastic. The tofu wrap and tofu salad are both lovely. And their vegan chocolate espresso cookies are so good it's criminal. The staff is all really friendly and competent, too! Definitely the best atmosphere to share a casual meal or get work done in Lewisburg.

Very nice atmosphere, good coffee, and decent sandwiches. I had an omelet there, which was made with very fresh ingredients. Good place to hang out and chill. Its a coffee shop that offers food, and one of the best in Lewisburg.

This is one of those rare finds. Super friendly staff, big menu, fresh and local ingredients, very much a cozy place where you could spend time savoring and relaxing...I've only been for lunch but I'm looking forward to breakfast/brunch.

Right now this is my favorite downtown Lewisburg cafe. Cheerful, spacious, colorful, and sun-lit, with very friendly waitstaff. The ambiance is downright comforting. Menu includes a diverse array of simple/honest/satisfying breakfast options (build your own 3-egg omelettes, buttermilk pancakes, potato latkes, huevos rancheros, tofu scramble, bagels with lox). Haven't sampled lunch yet but it also looks interesting (sandwiches, salads, soups). Prices very reasonable. Plenty of coffee and tea options.

Cherry Alley is great. Good food, good people, good space. A friend of mine from out of town said that their coffee was some of the best she'd ever had.

Only place in Lewisburg to get a good bagel, lox and cream cheese-- or should I say, a bagel with a schmear. This is great place for coffee and conversation.

Great little breakfast cafe off of Market street. Nice breakfast menu. Very good service. The omelets are excellent. They have a nice setup, in that the main counter is in one section (actually one house) and the seating area is in another. You can have a relatively quiet breakfast and conversation while the counter can be busy and noisy. Whenever I'm in Lewisburg, I'll be having breakfast at Cherry Alley.

Food was reasonably priced, super fresh, and very tasty. Unfortunately, an hour wait for a sandwich is really NOT okay. Not sure that I'd go back, and definitely wouldn't if I was in a hurry to get anywhere!
