One of my favorite places to hang and bring visitors to. But only if you sit at a booth on the bar. The big back room is too weirdly empty for me. The food and the mixed drinks are awesome. The bar area us lively and fun.

Food was bad small servings compared to any other Chinese takeout place I have been to.

My favorite chinese restaurant!! Best dumplings around. Owners are very nice and remember your face. Not the best fried rice though. I always get the Chicken and Broccoli, yum!

Great food and service , hostess/owner came to our table and introduced herself . Some reviews say the restaurant needs updating , we don't agree. Updating would ruin the character of this truly unique place . The Tiki Bar is cool , the bamboo booths are pretty special, you feel like your in Hong Kong . I had a look through the kitchen door windows , the kitchen is spotless. My wife and I had a couple of combination dinners they were great and included desert. Give this place a try . You won't regret it.

The food is very good, I can't find fault with that. Drinks were good too. I must implore the owners to please take down the bamboo over the windows; dust and clean it. And possibly not ever put it back on. And the dusty pufferfish? Cute idea, but dusty and maybe not all that easy to sterilize. Also, bathrooms are atrocious. Old, dim, depressing and dirty. I would absolutely return in the future, only with some serious cleaning and updating. Please.

I drove past this place a million times and I can say the appeal isn't great, but after reading the reviews and being disappointed by others like Hong Kong Pearl I decided it was time to take a chance. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken combo, but instead of the sweet and sour sauce I like to get the General Tso's sauce on the side. I also got an order of hot and sour soup, a spring roll, and vegetable lo mein. I have to say this will be my new go to Chinese restaurant locally. The chicken was cooked just right with a nice crunchy coating. The lo mein was cooked well and had good flavor. A lot of restaurants over cook the chicken or undercook the batter. The lo mein wasn't bland and didn't look like spaghetti tossed in soy sauce. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars so far is I have more to try and the portions are smaller than most as you can see from the pictures I posted, but I will say it filled me up. Overall nicely done for a pretty strange location and not so modern building.

Went there last night with my sons. We have been to other Chinese restaurants in the area and this is our favorite! The food was outstanding, the service was excellent and the drinks were great. We had a variety of dishes and they were all outstanding. Cant wait to return again.

Oh wow!!! The dumplings ARE the shit!!! Everything was amazing! General Tso's, Soups, eggrolls, sesame chx! Bangin! Didn't expect it to be THAT good! So glad my sister just moved across the street.

After growing up in the area, and having since moved away for the better part of a decade, this restaurant is always on my list of places to eat when I come back to visit for the holidays. My favorite dishes are appetizers: Steak on a stick is a tiki bar classic and Hong Luck's is the best I've ever had. Tender and flavorful chunks of marinated steak are served kebab style with pineapple. This is a can't miss. Also, while not on the menu, the "No name shrimp" is umami personified. Lightly coated in cornstarch and fried, the shrimp are seasoned with delicious and mysterious spices and served with diced bell peppers and green onion. Alone it makes a great shared appetizer or you can order a side of rice and make it your entree. The rest of the menu features standard American-Chinese offerings which won't disappoint. Classic tiki bar drinks are a must here too. Sweet and fruity, the Zombie and Navy Grog are personal favorites.

Kind of a dive inside, some quirky details such as the puffer fish lights but clearly needs an update. The food is pretty good though. I had the ginger beef and it was great, the mushrooms soaked up the ginger flavor like little sponges. The hot and sour soup was disappointing though, more like hot and sweet. It wasn't bad but just didn't fall into what hot and sour soup should be. Overall it was good food and I will have to give their cocktails a try.

Went last night for the first time. Food was very good but the place is not very clean and the prices are just outrageous. 3.75 for a bowl of soup? I would have given the place a 5 if it was clean. Because of that I will not be returning.

I LOVE Hong Luck! My family has been going here for years... since before I was born (28 years ago). It is run by the nicest family and the food is the best chinese food in the area. Everything I have gotten from there is delicious from staples like General Tso's chicken to their Mongolian BBQ Beef dish. Also, they have had the same decor forever and it's the best - everyone sits in their own little bamboo "hut" that their booth is in with blowfish lamps over each table!

The food was great. We ordered the chicken and broccoli lunch special which was around $10. They came out with appetizer first which was little fried sweet chip thing (not sure exactly what it was). The meal came with a cup of soup and egg roll. The portion sizes are big.One meal would feed two people. They come out with hot tea which is no extra cost and tastes really good. The food came out quick and hot.

Awesome food and great ambiance. Love this spot as a sit down dinner location, but not too crazy about their takeout. We ordered it only once but the portions seemed much smaller than any other local takeout place, although the quality was still good.

Best Chinese food in the area. It's also the only place with any personality. I love walking into the place with its funky fish lamps and bamboo. I've never sat at the bar, but every time I go in, the bar is populated so it seems like there's something going on. A lot of Chinese food tastes the same no matter where you go, but of what I've had from Hong Luck the flavors are a little different. The flavors aren't radically different, just that things are a notch less sweet and goopy. The general's chicken has slightly more of a savory presence than a sweet presence. I'm also a fan of the steak waikiki. Price tends to be a little higher than the surrounding area and portions tend to be on the smaller side, particularly for the "specialties" like general's chicken. If you're fine trading a little quantity for quality, then it's a good deal.

The decor was very cool and the food was great. I was really surprised that the restaurant was empty around lunchtime, and I was also surprised to see that the lights were made of actual blowfish. The restaurant is not well advertised, so it can be hard to find. The portions were large, the service was quick and the food was delicious. The only down side is that they DROWN their chicken dishes in sauce.

A bit far from I-95 but worth it. Don't let the exterior fool you, either. Good food, nice decor, and friendly service.

Very cheap lunch specials that are generously sized. I would recommend getting the wonton soup as the side; it is literally packed with wontons. Plus they are very fast with delivery. Food wise, it is your typical Americanized Chinese but is made with less msg than most other places in the area.

Kitschy? Absolutely!!! Tiki Huts, Blowfish lights, retro bamboo decor....FUN, FUN FUN!!! Where on a menu have you seen a Tom Collins, or A Sloe Gin Fizz or a Zombie cocktail for $5.50?? Food was DELICIOUS. The dumplings, tin foil chicken and boneless garlic ribs were so, so good and Steak Waikiki? Yes, please!! Who can say no to Steak wrapped in bacon in brown garlic sauce?? This was our first time there but definitely not our last!!!! If you are looking for fun and good food, this is the place!!

This place is interesting to say the least. The outside looks like an old 70's diner, so it's slightly off putting when you pull up to the restaurant. Upon walking into here my brain immediately breaks into the Spongebob Squarepants theme song (think tiki huts, blowfish light fixtures, bamboo everywhere)! I have never, ever, EVER in my life been in a restaurant as tacky looking as this, and they really do deserve a decor makeover by Robert Irvine. However, despite their gaudy decor, they have incredible food! The curry chicken was incredible; the flavors were incredible, although it was a little too salty. The garlic boneless spareribs are out of this world; they're the perfect combination of sweet and salty. The portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. This restaurant serves the best Chinese food in Levittown, so it's definitely worth overlooking the horrible decor for some delicious food.

Hong luck is a great little Chinese restaurant in Levittown, PA. It is nicely decorated with cool little booths separated by bamboo and blown glass lights over every individual table. I love the decor and the food is always good as well. Hong luck has a nice little bar in it as well where you can find regulars hanging out on Friday and Saturday nights. When you walk in the tiki bar/lounge is on the right hand side and the restaurant part is on the left. Their specialty drink menu is out of this world (try a zombie) and the prices for everything are reasonable if not cheap.

This is some of the best Chinese you can get in our area. Fridays the owner, Colin (Hope I spelled that right), plays the Blues and has a great collection. And the Zombies are also the best. We eat there a few times a month and the food is consistently great. The staff are awesome too! They greet us with a smile every time and service is quick. Love the Tiki Bar.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
