The food here has always been delicious and we frequently take my mom here when visiting. The atmosphere is nice, can get a little loud, wine list could be more expansive but not bad. However, the hostess is absolutely AWFUL. AWFUL. Rude, snappy, condescending, not good. We spend quite a bit here several times a year and take great care of our waitresses as they are almost always been excellent, however, after being there two weeks ago, having a reservation as we were coming in from three hours away to enjoy dinner with family only to once again have the hostess act completely unprofessional, we have decided to not return going forward. Quite a shame as we enjoy all other aspects, but there are plenty of other restaurants where an enjoyable experience from the door plus great food is an easy find.

Sooo here goes a play by play as I sit here... Seated quickly... Server a little on the shy quiet side... But that's not a bad thing .....Drinks ordered and delivered quick... I ordered a cup a snapper soup.. Comes pretty fast... Think... something that looks like a good consistency beef gravy... Minus the beef... And flavor... I think I found a few very small hunks of something too small to actually determine what it is supposed to be...maybe it was actually beef gravy???? Hmmmmmm????? I had about 3 spoons of the gravy that was sold to me as snapper soup... And called it quits... Why continue eating something that I don't think tastes good... Or has much of a flavor at all. Server asked how it was ... While looking at the pretty much still full cup... Which should have been what in police business would be called a clue... I can't say it was great... Her response was "oh good... Ok" and I said... Nooo..... good.... is not a word I would use to describe it... I explained that I didnt care for it and it had little to no flavor... She said well it really has not changed since the last time to which I responded.. " this is out first visit"... She said "oh... Ok.... Well would you like a different soup... I politely declined Soooo here comes the salad... You have heard of having your salad dry... Meaning no dressing.... This salad is DRY meaning lacking what most lettuce has and that is something called moisture... Had the oil and vinegar for dressing and had to put it on so that it would restore my mouth to something other than a desert because the first 2 bites dried it out so much. If this were baseball... This would be called strike 2... And I am not even close to being a baseball fan..... I asked if the salad is premade and server said no.... The lettuce is placed on a plate wrapped in plastic wrap and put in the refrigerator... When one is ordered the wrap is removed and the cheese tomatoes and such is added... So no... They are not pre-made... If you want to split hairs... Strike 3... Pork chop is under cooked and well... Somewhat raw... Well I guess with pork it is either raw... Or cooked... The middle was still sorta had that almost translucentish pinkish tint to it... Not that the entire center was raw... I don't have a degree or formal training in chef-ery... But I do know what undercooked pork looks like... Over all 2 stars... The server saved it from being a one star.......it will take a bit for me to return... I know this is only one bad experience but it did happen to be my first experience. the server and was very pleasant and nice about it ... So I can't fault her for tasteless soup, DRY salad, and undercooked pork....she did ask if I wanted to speak with the manager... To which I did decline... And am somewhat torn by the fact that a person in some kind of rank or charge did not come to the table and apologize anyway...I mean I didn't need to repeat my displeasure with the experience and force management to say "sorry"... That should come automatically when a server passes along that she has a customer that remotely hints that their unhappy... says that they did not like the soup enough to even eat 1/4 of it.... Complains that the salad was dry.. And lastly.... Returns undercooked pork and says strike 3... But hey... I am a dumb fireman... What do I know about customer service right???... I do have to note that all items that were returned were removed from the final bill... So I didn't pay for something that I didn't eat... On a positive note... My angry orchard cider was perfectly done.. served exactly like I like it... Cold... And in the bottle. But as with all of the other senseless reviews that I have posted... This is the opinion of a guy that knows what I like... I say take your lazy ass there ... And experience the joint for yourself and form your own opinion and then Spew forth your own senseless opinion here!

It's been several years since we've been to Reflections, but in our pre-children era of life, it was a place we hit 2-3 times a year. Aaah, pre-children...but I digress. I recall my last meal there was somewhat disappointing- perhaps the luster had worn off, the passion was gone...or, perhaps it was a bad meal. Either way, academic. Tonight, we made reservations for one of those childless date nights with another couple, and were amused (?) to be seated next to a table with 4 kids. Hey, at least it wasn't my brood making a racket! Unlike Heather H's hostess run-in, the hostess- who I believe has been here for since our previous visit, as she is unforgettable- was fine. Granted, it was a low-stress seating moment, but we didn't get barked at. Whew. Our waitress, Haydee, was awesome. Funny, quirky, personable, responsive. She kept the iced-tea iced and the bread-basket breaded. The menu had a good selection, and my pork with apricot-mustard glaze was fantastic, for $18.95. Likewise, my wife enjoyed her pork chop with sausage stuffing. We didn't venture into appetizer or dessert land, but the dessert offerings were pretty intriguing. We also sat in the enclosed-porch area, right next to the plexiglass cover that allows you to look down the stone well, which is lit up inside. Very cool, unless you are afraid of hights! I really enjoy places like this. The food was excellent, the setting historical, the waitress entertaining, and the company excellent. This perhaps will catapult Reflections back towards the top of the 'must consider' list for those rare evenings when the wife and I can revisit LBK! (Yes, Life Before Kids!)

We stopped in for an early dinner on our way to another function and weren't that impressed. The staff was a bit off and not very friendly and the food and drinks seemed overpriced for what we received. Just an okay place.

My wife and baby and I went here on a whim. We had never even heard of it before, I just saw it while driving and it is near to our house. The hostess was very accommodating with our baby, and the waitress was very nice and did her job well. The reason this got 2 stars and not 1 is because of the friendly staff. We don't eat out terribly often, but this had to be the most I've paid for the least portions ever. I got the "Seared Salmon," thinking that it would be prepared in some way that an average person wouldn't do from home, but I believe it was just baked. And over baked. I am no chef, but have made better salmon and wasn't even trying. It was maybe a 6 oz piece. The "vegetable" was literally about a 1/3 cup of peas with about 8 tiny pearl onions. Literally under $1 at a grocery store. My wife ordered the fish and chips and mistakenly swapped the fries for the "vegetable." Big mistake. She got about a half cup of peas. Her one piece of battered cod was about a 6 oz portion. It tasted good. In conclusion, we will most likely never go back, as we value our money too much to eat there again.

Summary: Inattentive service and not worth the price. We made reservations for the patio. It's nice being able to sit 'outside', but my fiancé and I were worried the whole time that we'd see an accident at the intersection outside the restaurant as cars flew by. We waited for at least 10 minutes after being sat till someone came and got us water and asked for other drinks, all while a dozen waitresses circle frantically around us. The host apologized but I thought she could have at least gotten us the water. Then we weren't finished with our appetizer when our meal came out and she tried taking my fiancé's salad away before he was done with it. Crabcakes were very good, but side of rice, wings and cod were lacking flavor. Overall, not worth the price with the absence of great service.

Within 1 minute of walking in - we were greeted by 3 different people. So it's a friendly place. We sat on the porch with the large glass doors open since it was a nice evening. The outdoor dining is very nice as long as you don't mind the traffic on the road. Of course, the Amish buggies come by too. The French onion soup was good and I also had the shrimp wrapped in bacon appetizer. I liked both well enough that I would order them again. My husband had the steak kabobs. For the price I don't think he was given very much food; however, we had a DoubleTake deal so I won't complain too much since I really didn't pay full price. We would go back again.

Meh. I've experienced. But, in Lancaster, I guess this is what we have and have to live with. :) Nothing bad about it. Just that there are a lot of better places I have been to than this.

What a fun place. All the staff we met there were very friendly and that included the owner. We sat at the bar and had several of their happy hour appetizers. All were some of the best bar food we've had in the area. We haven't lived in the area long and this was our first visit. We're pretty sure it will be our neighborhood place. We met several of the regulars and they were very friendly. Place has history going back to the horse and buddy days. With that in mind, the place is kept up well. Hint, if you don't like something, let the staff and management know. I've never met anyone in the restaurant business that can read minds and rarely found anyone that didn't want to correct a problem immediately when told about it. Can't wait till Friday to have dinner there and experience some of the dinner menu. Really want to try everything on it so we'll be going back often.

Reflections has premium quality food...definitely top notch. I got the tomato crab bisque. It was the thickest crab bisque and the flavors were phenomenal. Everything was so flavorful, even down to the dinner rolls. I got the chicken breast oscar. Even the rice pilaf that came with my meal was full of intense flavor, so the crab and chicken and asparagus was to die for. I haven't had chicken that good in a long time! My boyfriend got pan seared scallops with a sweet corn and red pepper risotto. Absolutely out of this world. The price isn't too steep either! Great service and a casual but nice environment! Check it out!

Jim Garland admits that after 30 years, he was almost ready to sell Reflections. It had been a great run, but the thrill was gone. Things just weren't the same as they were when he was 29 and a young, hot chef with his own kitchen and a partner in his own restaurant. Yet, here it is - the official 30th anniversary - and Garland's not just still with Reflections. He's recommitted and excited. In a relationship, it might take an always-dreamed-of vacation or a shared hobby to put the spark back into things. But in the restaurant business, it takes (apparently) a new porch. flymagazine.net/reflecti…

Hadn't been there for a while so decided to try it again. We had reservations and were seated promptly. And then we sat - it was about 10 minutes before someone took our drink order. We ordered soup and dinners, the table behind (seated after us) us had their dinner done before our soup arrived. My French Onion soup was lukewarm and the cheese was just melted not bubbly like other places. We had to ask for refills on water and were never asked if we wanted refills on our other drinks. We also had to ask for rolls after none came with our salad (other tables had them with salads or before). Dinner was okay, my scallops were done right but the mac and cheese underneath it was cold. My husband had a perfectly done pork chop but felt it could have used more seasoning. There was no apologies for the wait and I would have understood if it was crowded but there was plenty of open tables. On our way out the hostess asked if we enjoyed our meal, I said it was okay and she didn't follow up so I left it at that. There was many similar places to eat in the Lancaster area so I will not likely return any time in the near future.

My boyfriend and I were there tonight. We sat at the bar so we could enjoy the half off appetizers they offer in that area only from 5-7 pm. It is such a great deal and the food overall was pretty good. We had the seared tuna which was delicious, the fish tacos which were bland and boring, and a crab dip which was pretty good. We ended with a dessert which was recommended to us- fried white chocolate peach cheesecake. Oh my it was amazing! We will be back again, especially for the half priced apps.

Ate there tonight, about. 5:30, with another couple. Have not been here in years. Food was excellent and service was courteous, prompt and friendly. We will definitely come again. Dining room and bathrooms were very clean.

First time here. We sat on the porch with the doors open which was wonderful. Started off with the Chicken BBQ Quesadillas and finished with the Shrimp Scampi Flatbread and my god, it was unbelievably delicious. I'll definitely be a returning, as often as possible.
