I love red lobster but haven't been there in a couple years. We were going to order take out from there so I called them and they put me on hold. I sat there for at least 10 minutes before I hung up because I'm sure they forgot about my call. Not happy about that experience

I forgot about how great of a place this is to eat. I met a couple of my work associates there for lunch yesterday. Our sever was very engaging and the food was above average considering that this is a franchise.

Pretty good experience. Attentive server. Food fairly good - no complaints, but it's a chain so nothing amazing. Reasonable wait - about 15 minutes. Come early because it gets crowded for dinner! Met expectations - three stars.

We received a gift certificate for here so we decided to go for dinner. We arrived at 5pm on Black Friday. We were told 15 minute wait. About 15 mins went buy and were seated. We never saw a person leave while we were waiting. When we were seated we saw 7 tables empty in our section. We were not told of any specials just given a sheet with the specials listed. Our waiter arrived and asked if we were ready to order. We ordered and were brought our drinks. I had an alcoholic beverage that I finished during the soup/salad course but was never asked if I wanted another beverage. Our main course arrived. Normal Red Lobster fair nothing special. Still not asked if I wanted a refill but server brought all the others a refill since they were drinking water/soda and left right away after putting their drinks down. No how is your meal. I even found a hair in my rice. I decided not to finish my meal. When our waiter decided to finally came back he asked if anyone wanted desert. I was able to tell him about the hair and I finally was able to get another beverage. I was planning on getting another drink but decided on water. No can I get you something else off the menu or I will discount your meal. Just picked up the plates and brought the bill. $89.00 for 4 of us with no apps or deserts. I plan not to go back any time soon. Worst meal in a long time. Worst service and food even for a chain restaurant.

The pros: The server was very attentive and professional (she forgot one item, but not a big deal...we had enough to eat, and she didn't charge us for it). The decor was fresh and modern, definitely not nearly as fuddy-duddy as I remember, and I see from a previous reviewer that there's been an upgrade. My companion loved her lobster tail, her salad, the cheese biscuits, and the apple crostini. The cons: My Bar Harbor salad with shrimp had lots of shrimp...but it was rubbery, rubbery shrimp. Why did I think it would be different this time? The real con: The place smelled vaguely of sewage. Maybe this was just a problem on one day (July 15), but it wafted through the dining room. I don't think it was the regular seafood smell. (At least I hope it wasn't.) When I went to the restroom, I found a possible source. The floor leading from one of the other toilets to the other toilets was wet in a way that suggested a leak from the toilet. I ended up having to roll up my pant legs to make sure that I didn't get piss, or piss water, on my jeans. And I'm obviously not a squeamish person...I ate voluntarily at a Red Lobster, after all! That said, my companion, who fits into RL's older demographic, loved her meal, so I can't give it one star. (That said, I hear that one's senses dull with the years.)

3 stars is the absolute most I can grant to a pre-fab chain with average food and cattle-call service. We were dragged here for my mother in law's birthday and it happened during "Lobster Fest". For $30 I got the Lobster lover's plate with a very nicely done rock lobster tail, a tough, dry overcooked Main lobster tail and a small blob of baby shrimp and lobster micro-bits alfredo (I luckily was smart enough to get mine with no alfredo sauce). Edible? yes. Good? Some of it was good. But I am still not a fan of this place.

Came looking for mussels. Not disappointed. Nice amount. Good sauce. Garlicky the way we like it. And toasted soft bread. Husband says this May be our new Wednesday mussel place.

OK! I went back here for a birthday dinner for my parents. I noticed that my last review was almost to the day 5 years ago! Since then, the place seems to be remodeled to be a bit more modern and less cheesy with the decor. But ambiance is usually not on the list for me to care about when I eat. Cleanliness and good service is! I didn't get the endless shrimp this time, just regular entrees. They did seem to have a reasonable combo for 16.99, a four course meal with limited choices for the entrees. The food was much better this time. The wood grilled lobster was actually seasoned quite nicely. I will say the shrimp are still, well, shrimpy. The service was a better than average. Our server was attentive and checked in on us quite a bit which was nice. It wasn't crowded at all for a Thursday night at 6:50 PM which is a departure from previous experiences. It still felt a little sticky but that might have been from me spilling my sidecar of Grand Marnier. :( I sure do put a lot of effort into writing reviews of chain restaurants. Haha.

I'm on a budget so I always do the 4 for $16 and I can never eat it all. I always get an Alfredo dish and without fell they never put enough Alfredo sauce. No need to talk about the biscuits we all know they are delicious and they always bring them to the table hot. The servers are always coming to the table to check on you and I rarely have to wait and extend period of time for my first dish (no more than 10 mins). On the weekends and Fridays they are extremely crowded. It gets pretty bad sometimes. So I would do a call in reservation. You can never go wrong with the fried calamari and stuff mushrooms. The key lime pie is also very good.

It's a chain. Yes. But it's the kind of chain that mothers and grandmothers like, and so we go. I've never had what you would call a memorable meal in a Red Lobster, but for the price, and for the mom factor, it works. Most of the time. Until tonight. I made the mistake of ordering fish and chips, and it was abundantly clear to me even before I tried to sink a fork into it that the Red Lobster chefs have no bloody idea what fish and chips are supposed to be about. The dead giveaway? The chips. A soggy pile of shoestrings. Which makes perfect sense when paired with a Bic Mac. (God forgive you for that, by the way.) NO SENSE AT ALL as part of the classic fish and chips combo. What had I expected? Big, thick-cut russets. But no. This is the first time I've ever been served MacDonald's fries with my fish. And, hey, let's talk about the fish. Wouldn't you normally picture a hefty slab of moist haddock or cod, encased in a nicely spiced, light, flaky and deliciously greasy batter? The thing they served me at Red Lobster in Montgomeryville must have been something more like flounder. It looked like a fried surfboard. The batter? Well, I'm not sure you could call it batter. More like spackling compound. It was something fried, that's for sure, but I needed a knife to saw through it. No amount of malt vinegar could save this abomination. I made it about a quarter of the way through this hard, dry, flavorless plank (it took too much effort), ate a couple of fries because I was hungry, but then just gave up. For five or six bucks, you can get a much better version of fish and chips at any Highland games.

A very inviting atmosphere. Loved the decorations throughout. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I had the Chesapeake Shrimp with Crab dinner. Asked to substitute the rice with red potatoes and chose broccoli as the side. I loved the potatoes, the broccoli was overcooked. The stuffed shrimp had a bit too much "stuffing". The crab on top of the grilled shrimp were sweet. I would've liked the shrimp to be less spicy instead of the cajun spices I tasted. My dining partner had the Wood-Grilled Lobster, Shrimp and Scallops. I got to try the lobster which was also very sweet, and the scallops which was cooked just right.

I generally do not go to places like Red Lobster because usually the food is just ok. I went for the first time because its the only place to get a real lobster dinner and it not costing 200 bucks. The place was clean and everyone from entering to leaving were super polite and very organized. I had a 30 min wait which was ok because they had a nice bar and all the bartenders on sept 7th at 7:00 pm were great. all of them. super nice and attentive. My server name Jovon ( spelling ) was fantastic. he was knowledgeable on the menu and was again super polite and made me feel very welcome and made sure everything was perfect. I will deff be returning again. I got the 3 pound lobster for 58 bucks. it was great. not as tender as I wanted but very good which is the reason for the 4 star review. I would have givin 3 but jovon puts it at 4. that guy is a great rep for your brand

Wow...I had a GREAT experience at this place recently, so I am excited to write this. I wasn't expecting much here because it's a typical chain restaurant, but I had a gift card that I wanted to use, so I decided to give it a try, and I was very pleasantly surprised! We went the weekend before Valentine's Day, and even though it was crowded, the people were moved smoothly in and out in an organized manner. ALL the employees we dealt with were friendly, nice, and attentive -- even the ones who were not directly involved with us. They made us feel welcome. I sensed a real team spirit here, and you could clearly tell that this place cares ALOT about customer satisfaction. Our waiter Jovini was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, and he went the extra mile to make sure that we were happy. That really felt great, especially at a time when genuine customer service seems to have fallen away in many places. (I actually got better service here than I have in some five star restaurants I've been to that charge top dollar!) As far as the food goes, I liked it. They had a nice variety of menu items to choose from, and some lower calorie choices that are great for diet conscious guests. Both our meals were hot when they got to the table, and they were prepared just as we had requested. This is a casual, mid-range, family-type chain restaurant that serves mainly seafood for a reasonable price, in a friendly atmosphere, and I think it does what it does very well. Yes, alot of the stuff is pre-made, but it still tastes good, so who cares? Obviously, I am not going to judge the food here in the same way that I would a sophisticated, high-end, fine dining establishment. High-end restaurants are great, and I enjoy them, too, but this place does just fine for what it is, and I would highly recommend this location for quick meal at a very low price.
