Eating here is always an enjoyable experience. The atmosphere and environment is pleasant. It's located near a major intersection. It has fairly decent parking. And is within walking distance of the two major hotels. Their menu is sufficient for both lunch and dinner. As for the food, it has been pretty good. Only one time was the meal not satisfactory. It is worth a try. The chicken soft shell tacos have always been prepared good. The beef soft shell tacos are hit and miss. But that is one opinion, one time. The prices are reasonable.

Pretty good Ameri-mexi food. The margaritas are yummy and most of the menu is pretty good. Portions are large and prices are reasonable for what you get. Down sides - it is close to impossible to get a table in under 40 minutes on a Friday or Saturday night. And with that, parking can be a bear. The guacamole is good but needs salt. Overall a good place to enjoy TexMex and a few cocktails. Just as long as you can get a table.

This place is really disappointing. The bar is laid out beautifully location is great dining room is so-so. I have been there 20 to 25 times and the food was never properly cooked. So I only go there for the bar now but it's always always dirty even after we ask the bartender to wipe it down it is done with a dirty rag. This should be rule number one because it's in tolerable when your arms and elbows stick to the bar every single time I go in there so I just stopped going.

Went there on a busy Thursday night for dinner. We didn't know it was a "full moon" promotion night or something like that. We just wanted dinner and drinks. We were seated right away but never greeted by a server or with chips and water for about 15 minutes. Servers walked by avoids us, then we eventually got the managers attention. He was great and quick to respond to us, realizing we he been sitting a while. By the time the manager got us a server-Jaime- we ordered right away. Margaritas (1- blood orange & 1- naked lime, both excellent), we also got the Mayan Shrimp appetizer and a salmon salad for me & seafood taco trio for hubby. They definitely recovered from letting us sit at the beginning. The manager comped our appetizer and Jamie took great care of us. The food was good!! We have more we want to try on their menu, so we will definitely be returning.

I've driven by this place so many times but I've never gone in. Today, I changed that!! The atmosphere is cool, the server was polite, nice, but also funny. The food was prompt and delicious! I ordered the coconut Margarita but was given my friends instead...a delicious mistake! I'd definitely go back here!

Just had dinner here a few hours ago..nothing was really bad , it was just Meh.. Ordered the fajitas as well as some enchiladas . Definitely had way better but also way worse. If you are expecting "authentic" then this is not your place . If you are looking for ok food without driving too far then this might be your spot. I will say service was good and the place was clean .

Great place to hang out and I love the food. The chimichanga was awesome!!! Real chicken inside no process. The other 8 people I went with loved there dishes to. Our service and waiter (I think his name was Kevin) was excellent.

When I moved here, first tried Margaritas, and saw they had a 3-star rating, I was really surprised. Now that I've been back another 3 or 4 times, I COMPLETELY understand. The biggest consistency from my visits is absolutely the slow and inattentive service. Here are some of my experiences. Twenty minute wait to be seat when multiple tables were open. (I'm thinking they were low staffed and didn't want to fill all the seats.) More than 20 minutes to receive our first round of drinks and we all ordered the same drink! The bar never has enough staff. Ever. Our server said he would go make our drinks even though we ordered them directly from the bartender. There should be a bartender specifically dedicated to making frozen margaritas here because they take way too long. I've waited 10 mins+ after finishing our meals to get the check. And finally I convinced some friends to order the fire roasted corn side, which is $4/$5, only to get something that was 2 or 3 times hotter than normal. I was the only person out of 4 at the table who was able to finish the dish and my wife usually loves it. We explained this to our server, but she essentially just said "oh well, the chef must have added more spice tonight." I was embarrassed for bringing friends here and having them throw our $9 of food from their order. Overall, I like the food here. The basic tacos that are part of their all you can eat taco Monday aren't great, but it's good for the price. All of the dishes with carnitas, shredded beef, and fish that we've tried have been really good. Prices could be better as well. I will be back here because it's the closest restaurant to my home, but the long waits to get a table and poor service are going to make it hard to keep coming back if they don't change in the next visit or two. Hate writing reviews like this, because I want to LOVE this place, but I just don't at this point.

A lunch date canceled on me so I decided to bravely go solo for lunch. It was 11 am and I was the first customer and half an hour later I still am. The Mexican mojito was a refreshing muddling of lime, orange and mint. I originally ordered a regular mojito but they were oit of unspiced rum. I had the Mexican Flag enchiladas. The photo on the menu was decidedly more appetizing. I had two chicken enchiladas and one pork. Except for some chopped raw onion and some chopped flavorless tomato, I believe everything served on the plate was from a can or the like. The chicken was similar to the grilled version of Perdue Short Cuts you can buy at the store. And no guacamole on the "green" enchilada! Nowhere near worth the $15 it cost me. One star, but one more for the Mexican mojito.

I walked in fully aware of the average to poor quality of food so I wasn't expecting an amazing or even an above average evening. What we ended up with was massive chaos!! Gave our name and were told only one wait staff for the entire dining area. I said we should leave but was guaranteed more staff coming in shorty that was at 4:45. Meanwhile 1 hour later went out to check and our name was crossed off. Overheard the mental l midget hostess telling the manager we left. One taco was brought to the table with only cheese! The bill was a mess, food mediocre. What can I say, when you live in a town with only 4 restaurants in a 5 mile range,,, they can get away with 1 star!

Best salsa I have had in a long time. The ambiance reminds me of Disney. It's very nice. I'd go here for the salsa and drinks any day. This is place is a 3-3.5 any day of the week. This review started off as a quick one but then I thought more about it and could not stop writing. It seems minor, the issues I raise, but most people don't regularly take their physically disabled mother to diner, so that is why some of these issues are important. This is a forum to raise such concerns, so here we go. The service was okay-to good; I am being somewhat generous with the good rating. My waiter tried to be a little cooler than he actually was. After he realized I was not going to have a second drink the service slowed considerably. The fish tacos were good, I would order them again. They were very fresh and well made. I tried the ocean trio or something; I don't remember the proper name. My mother, who has some physical difficulties, muddled through a burrito, truthfully I don't know what it was. She loved it, it was big and she took half of it home. I have no opinion on whatever it was, but she said it was very good, so take her word for it. She also had a margarita which I tried and it was very, very good. If I was not on a diet I would have had one. The check was slow to come, that began to annoy me only because my mother was beginning to have some issues. On that same note, the same cars that were parked in the physically disabled spots when we walked in were still there when we left. I did not see anyone with as many obvious difficulties as my mother in the establishment, so that was a red flag. I literally want to scream at people who have full mobility, but out of laziness, park in spots designated for individuals with actual mobility issues. We had to walk from a standard spot. The bill was confusing because on the table was some add for the "circle of friends", and it said that you got a discount for using the circle of friend's card. This was less than clear because apparently it was for teachers. Since my sister is a teacher, and that is who usually takes my mother here, there was even more befuddlement as my mother declared that the server was wrong, not to him, just to me. It was a few bucks, it didn't matter, I was just pointing out that it was a confusing ad. Anyway when I mentioned it to the server he told me I was wrong, and laughed a little, it was odd. I must not have looked like a teacher because he did not give me the discount or ask for an id, he just said that the discount did not apply to me. How would he know that I was not a teacher? Had he ever gone to school? I was in khaki's and a button down shirt, literally the uniform of a teacher. It still makes me smile. The funniest thing was that I was tipping on the full bill, regardless of the discount, he would have got to pocket the extra monies from the discount had he thought I was a teacher. The only reason I mentioned it to him was at the behest of my cost conscious mother who was beginning to freak out over a few bucks. All in all it was a good experience and I have a funny story to tell my teacher friends, and all of you. Enjoy, this place is well worth it, maybe you'll draw the same server to see if he thinks you look like a teacher or not. Just for giggles inquire about the circle of friend's discount. I would definitely go back.

It's been 2.5 years since I ate at this place planning to never return. But my daughter invited me to join her for drinks last Friday and I remembered that the Margaritas were the only good thing there, so I went. The Margaritas are still good. The service still stinks and the food appears to be equally bad. I ate nothing, but my daughter ordered an appetizer chimichanga. It was the length of my index finger served on a large plate with nothing else, I mean, not even a garnish of lettuce or even a piece of kale! How about a little cup of sour cream or salsa? Why put it on a large plate - it's small enough to just wrap in a piece of wax paper or even just a napkin! The waitress wanted to know what I thought of it - I told her it was absolutely pathetic. While she was friendly, she was so slow - one person in our group asked for a drink of water and she seemed bewildered by this. By the time she brought the water, that person had already paid their tab and left! I think the only reason people go to here is because there's just nowhere else to eat in this general area except for fast food.

LOVE coming here for happy hour after a hard day at work!!! It's become a weekly spot to go to this summer for us and I love being able to try different drinks every week at the same place and not get bored! My fave so far has been the lime in the coconut marg. I also LOVE that they serve food items a la carte! The enchiladas are really good and the beans and rice, too (simple items, but so easy to get wrong!). One thing that severely disappointed me was the chille rellenos -- not that good and only served on Friday and Saturday??? The WORST thing about this place is that there are a million flies everywhere in the restaurant. Take care of that!!!!! UGH. Overall I like this place (I sit outside now...less flies believe it or not) and will be there next week and the week after and the week after for hh with my Lansdale crew.

It's good. Not great but good Ameri-mex!!!! I like the chile relleno but it's only available Friday and Saturday which kind of sucks! Their margaritas are good I like the house!

A friend and I stopped in here after a round of golf on Sunday... Pretty good food at very reasonable prices. The salsa is ridiculously good, I think we ate three bowls of it. Is this 'authentic' Mexican? Maybe not the most, but its pretty tasty. Good service as well.

Atmosphere is fun, margaritas are great! However, this is where the compliments stop. Service is slow. They hardly ever check back to see how you are doing. Drinks take a while to be made and delivered. I asked for no beans and rice with my fajitas, I get double rice. Chips are bland and taste like cardboard. The shrimp quesadillas, however, are decent. I will only come back to drink a margarita on the patio on a warm day.

I went for the Full Moon Margarita Madness event on Thursday. The website amps it up like a cool event, but it was super lame. They gave away 4 prizes, but the only way to be entered into the raffles was to purchase a specific beer in a specific size. Only 2 people won and they each won 2 prizes. I'm not sure what time the event started since that wasn't advertised, but it ended at 6:30, which also was not advertised. I happened to be there during happy hour and the drink specials were not impressive! Food and beverage prices are high, especially for a chain restaurant/franchise. Our waitress was near the end of her shift so she was a bit pissy. The only thing I liked was the happy hour food special of a $2 hard shell beef taco. After happy hour ended, there was a DJ who played remixes of every song like we were in the club at 1am on a Friday night.

After reading the reviews I was a little skeptical, so I went in only somewhat enthused. I was pleasantly surprised. The hostess was attentive, and the service polite and efficient. I had the chipotle bbq chicken fajita, and it was delicious. We requested a special guacamole, and they made it quickly, no problem. That was really tasty too. It was a little noisy, and the patio had closed for the season, but I could see this being a decent place to have Happy Hour. Not overwhelming, but decent food, at a fair price, with attentive service.

This place has so much potential! Great atmosphere and location! However, I'm praying that the bartender was just having a bad day because she was rude and avoided us like the plague! I'm usually pretty low maintenance but getting up from my barstool to get silverware and plates is just ridiculous! I will give it another chance because the food and drinks were ok but if I have another bad experience where my business isn't appreciated I won't come back!

Pretty standard Americanized Mexican chain food. I haven't had a bad experience here per se, but I never really find the ingredients to be that high in quality. I've had some brown avocados in my salad. The guacamole is so so. The carnitas tends to be dry and lacking in quantity for the price you pay for some of these dishes. The cheese they use for the fajitas is pretty bland. On a positive note, the free chips and salsa are spot on and the lunch specials are of a decent size and price. Atmosphere wise, the place is split between a darker dining room area and a very large bar and dining room area. With lots of flat screen tvs and a juke box, I'm guessing this is a good spot for a happy hour. I believe they also have outdoor seating, but I haven't been out there yet. Parking isn't an issue with a huge area in the back. Service wise, it's been hit or miss. We've had waitresses who have been very responsive and others who are just goofing off with the bartender or checking their phones constantly. Granted it wasn't busy, but it just comes off as unprofessional. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but it isn't bad.

By far the saddest fish tacos I've ever had. The quality of the fish was very poor...we're talking store brand fish sticks. The guac is mediocre (needs salt and cilantro).

Alright, let me tell you why you should wind up at Margarita's- 1. You're looking for Mexican food in Lansdale. Way to go, sucker, you have no choice. You're either going to Margarita's or you're cooking for yourself. 2. The fuego sauce. Now, this was unexpected for a chain Mexican restaurant. They have a serious salsa here that has a major afterburn. Driving away after a quick lunch, I was baffled by how much fire it had left in my esophagus. It is a slightly sweet sauce that kicks your ass a few seconds after you've swallowed. Well done, Margarita's. 3. There's a rooster demon sculpture guarding the door to the bathoom. I like this. I'll post a photo. 4. The Margaritas are pretty much what you'd expect from a place of this style. The classic is sweet enough to be enjoyed but strong enough that two will probably put a small person on their ass. As for the food. It is pretty good. The lunch enchilada is full of beefy goodness and can be made memorably by generous addition of fuego sauce. Let's face it, though - if you've stumbled across this review, you've probably already experienced major lunch depression in the area and you're just happy this isn't another pizza place.

Where do I start. Been going there from the day one it opened...knew two experienced bartenders that left...that was the beginning of the end. Group of four us came in. Asked if we could sit outside..no that area is closed...what about the other..said go fend for yourself...in this case not enough chairs to set a four top that I could find. Sat myself at a four top at the bar. Went to the hostess...can we sit inside, notice you have three booths open and three tables. No, we have to hold those till the servers arrive...it will be 20 minutes. How about we seat ourselves..well just wait. Then asked again an again, we got seated. Service was good at the table. When wine was brought out...lukewarm. Asked can I have a glass of wine cold...came back with wine full of ice. Then I took my half full glass of wine to the bar and said, can I please get a cold glass of wine. Reply, well this is what you can get...we can not do any better. Really. Paid $15 for Ahi Tacos..one small piece of Tuna on a tiny tortilla, no lettuce, nothing...had to ask...for lettuce. Oh you want beans or rice...that is extra. Food was pitiful. Lived in CA, Arizona, Colorado...only in PA could you get by with the poor service and poor food. It seemed like kids running the place with no management oversight or those that even cared.

I've been to this place for a couple of times. It's very popular on Friday and Saturday evenings. Waiting could be long if you do not have a reservation. Food is very good and usually come with a good size. It's a pretty restaurants with nice decorations. People are very nice. I went there with my colleagues foe my farewell lunch and they made it really like a celebration.

Great place for a couple drinks an some Mexican fare. They have awesome nacho sauce and keep it coming should you go empty. I had Juans Burrito which was good and full. Nothing to write home about but good. My wife loves their enchiladas which are very good (Would recommend them). Anyway, if you looking for Mexican food and drinks you can't go wrong here. Btw, the service is very good and we love the atmosphere.

It wasn't bad or anything, it just wasn't anything special. Went with 2 girlfriends for lunch, we ordered off the lunch menu and got margaritas. The margaritas were a weak in strength and the portion was kind of small (i feel like a guy would still be hungry after that portion). I ordered a beef enchilada which had ground beef but very little of it. It came with a small scoop of beans and small scoop of rice. I guess for the price ($7) it wasn't bad but taste wise it was very generic. If you're all about TGIF and Applebees and like mexican food, then this place is for YOU! Clean, friendly servers, simple menu and sits in a decent space. But I don't think you're going to be wowed here. Maybe would try again, but in no rush! oh yeah, the best part of the meal was the fried donuts (which i forget what they're called but can't find it on the menu) but I wish our server had recommended we only get one. There were 3 of us and we could have easily shared one as it had like 5 or 6 in there, and she let us order 2. Again, not her fault, but as a server she should educate the customer and then let us make a decision.

Went here with my wife and son. Been here many times, but service is getting to be super slow. Took 40 minutes to get our food; it was not what I ordered and was cold. All 3 plates were cold. Several people left without eating while we were there, and that didn't phase the restaurant's management. Told manager about the issue and she took $5 off the bill. Guess they don't take good customers seriously. I'd recommend finding another restaurant; not worth the trouble anymore.

I wanted to try Margarita's for a while after hearing friends say it was a good place to go. But my first experience was pretty sub-par. We had a new waitress so I do not fault her and any mistakes, but our meal took like an hour to get to us. Also they had to confirm that we only ordered one of the appetizers and not three. I would probably not come back again. The steak in my fajita was cooked well but I guess had an extreme spiciness I was not expecting at the end. Not their fault, but not I would want to come back again to experience. We did get the free chips and salsa, but not a saving point of the restaurant. If you want a good Margarita come here for happy hour otherwise just stay away.

UPDATE: Margaritas has def picked up. Especially on Taco Mondays and for happy hours. I like the improvements. :) I really want to like you, Margaritas! Get it together mgmt. That's the only explanation I can come up with for why this chain is lacking. I agree with most of these other 2 star reviews. And so I don't sound repetitive, I'll just say this: Drive 10 miles south on 476 and go to Plaza Azteca in Plymouth Meeting for the Mexican experience you're craving. Thank me later.

Go out of business already! The food taste like something that was cooked in a microwave oven. Not to mention the service is horrendous from start to finish. I went there at 2:00 on a Sunday afternoon and they couldn't seat me and two kids under 20 minutes!!! There was nobody in the restaurant except servers.... SMFH

My wife and I are very picky and expect at least good service or better and great food!! Lets face it nothing is perfect!! I see the bad reviews from last year, and I think most people expect too much!! I worked in the food business for 15 years! I give this place a 5 star rating because the food & service was excellent and the atmosphere is awesome! And my wife and I thought the food was excellent!! I really like the salsa, its made fresh daily!! The Chicken Fajitas were excellent and the enchiladas were just as good. We liked it so much that we went back the next night!! And let me tell you the place was packed both nights!!

It could have been good... it should have been good... but unfortunately our server, "Jamie B" was miserable, inattentive and pretty much ruined our experience at Margarita's. I sat through my meal with nothing to drink. I asked the women who brought our food out for refills and she said she would get our server to do that. Fast forward to the end of my meal and I FINALLY got a glass of water! On to the food. I had the "From the Sea Combo" which is seafood taco combo. The two fish tacos were actually quite good... the shrimp taco, not so much. You can do better.

Sometimes the yelp rating definitions are spot on. 2 stars = "Meh. I've experienced better." After leaving Margarita's, I thought, Meh, I've had better. Came on the first really warm evening of the Spring. The large outdoor seating area definitely will make for fun on nice evenings. The bar area seems like it could be a good time if you are a local. The seating area is nice, with large booths, perfect for my crazy family. My family is obsessed with chips and salsa, and unfortunately, the salsa offered here was a bit on the tangy side, perhaps just a personal preference, but certainly not a deal breaker. The beer selection is a nice touch as most mexican restaurants only have a few mexican choices. We shared the tomato garlic nachos, these were good, warm, cheesy nachos, nothing to complain about. I had the chile relleno with carnitas. The dish was a touch on the oily side, but, the carnitas were not very appearling. Carnitas are not easy to do well. My family seemed to like their vegetarian enchiladas.

I was visiting my friend out around this way, and we came to Margarita's because it appeared to be the only place open slightly late (they called last call a little before 11pm) in the area. The decor is standard-issue, Dia-De-Los-Muertos-chic chain Mexican restaurant, so nothing too special but not objectionable either. Given that the craft beer selection is pretty limited here and also given that I was at a place called Margarita's, I opted to go invoke one of the rare occasions when I order giant, fruity, iridescently colored margaritas. I started with the "prickly cactus" margarita, which was a retina-searing fuchsia, but tasted ok. Deciding to further press my luck, I got the "lime in the coconut" margarita, which I enjoyed more than the former. They also brought us some complimentary chips and salsa, which were quite good. Our bartender was very nice and added to the experience. We also appreciated that she was quite patient with us as we ordered a couple of rounds of blender drinks, with each of us ordering a different drink. That had to be an annoying order to make (so we made sure we tipped her accordingly). It's not likely that I will be back in this area too much, but if I were, I might stop back in here to try the food.

Mediocre at best. Honestly, the Tacos are far better at Pizza Time which is nearby. And! The beer is cheaper during happy hour.

The food is good. I've been there twice and had the fish tacos. The chips are ok but the salsa tastes as if it's from a jar. The 2 stars is for the service. There are many kids working there but no adults in sight. On both my visits the kids were basically socializing with each other (and their friends who were patrons) and ignoring the customers. They were not attentive and almost acted as if we were an inconvenience. They really need to get some grown-ups involved in running the place and training the kids. There are MUCH better (and more authentic) Mexican options in the area.

I've come here several times for - you guessed it - margaritas. The margarita menu is extensive and unique so I'm sure to try a new flavor every time and I've yet to be disappointed. My favorite is the Prickly Cactus. As far as the food: The complimentary chips and salsa are pretty good. The guacamole stands out with the options to add pineapple or roasted corn. I suggest you order both on the side and combine as you see fit. They have a new side - their version of Mexican corn (also known as elote) which is nontraditionally off the cob with a delicious blend of sweet/spicy spices and cotija cheese. The entrees are nothing to write home about. They aren't bad - but neither is any combination of cheese/salsa/lettuce/sour cream/protein. I've always been satisfied with the service. Thanks to the margaritas and the convenient location (close to the NE Extension ramp) I will continue to stop here for after work drinks.

Good food. Went there for dinner on a Thursday night and there was a 20 min wait. Their parking lot was also full. If you are in the mood for Mexican this is a good place to be. Loved their salsa.

I am happy to report that I recently received a response from the new General Manager, Greg, who was very apologetic about my last visit. I visited again this weekend and am happy to report that it was an exceptional experience. The bar waitress was alone, but very attentive. The margaritas were fantastic, per usual. This time I tried the Diablo shrimp--- it was AMAZING! The shrimp was fresh and perfectly cooked, the spinach was tender, rice was tasty and the sauce is to die for. I am so happy I gave it another try. I had a great time watching the NBA finals while sipping on margaritas and noshing. I will definitely be back again! Next time I will bring coworkers!

I kind of struggled with giving this place 2 or 3 stars, but in the end, Yelp's definition of 2 stars as being "Meh, I've experienced better", probably reflects my feeling a bit more accurately. We arrived around 5pm and the place was pretty full but we were seated pretty quickly. By the time we left at around 6:30, there was a 90 minute wait. I honestly felt like telling all of those people that it's not worth a 90 minute wait! You get endless bowl of chips and salsa, but they really needed to provide bigger bowls to begin with. I was here with a party of three, and we went through the bowl in under 5 minutes. We ended up having it refilled three times before our appetizer came out. Chips were fresh though and the salsa was fine. We ordered the homemade guacamole and that was actually pretty decent. It came out on a bed of lettuce, which made it a bit tough to get all the guacamole off. I would have preferred it had all been in a little bowl or just the plate itself. For my entree, I went with the skillet enchiladas, which I thought was just OK. It lacked some flavor and the carne asada was a bit too chunky for my liking. My Dad went with the fajitias, which he said were good and my Mom seemed to like her fish tacos. In terms of drinks, my Dad said the Margaria's were weak and my Strawberry Daiquiri was just OK. I was not overly happy with the service and found it to be slower than it should have been. Drink refills took way to long in my opinion. All in all, not my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area and unlikely that I'll be back.

I've been here four times this year and I already love it! Friendly people awesome decor. I've only eaten at the dinner room all four times though. The margarita is good I get the original with salt. The Negra Modelo is what my bf gets and he loves the glass and the fresh lime. I would recommended the burritos and fish tacos.

Food is very good. I usually get the fahitas and they never disappoint. Their bartenders are a bit snotty and the wait staff could be better. The last time we were there was sat at a booth in the bar area (the bartenders told us it was seat yourself) but it took 20 min for someone to come serve us and give us menus (after we had to ask for a server), I assume because we had gotten our first round at the bar. Other than that, not bad. Server seemed a bit distracted by her boyfriend sitting at the bar.

They must see me coming! Do I have an empty beer mug magnet hanging around my neck? It happens way too often at PJ Whelihan's and last night at this weak linked chain, they always seem to have run out of my first or second choice of beers I request. and the fucking beers ARE ON THEIR BEER MENU. Fuck me. So, I got stuck with my 3rd choice. The service, and I rarely attack service as they are working people, was spotty. Behind the bar were two attractive blondes and one guy. The two blondes were frequently facing away from the bar, although that was a pleasant sight for me ( | ), they were chatting for many minutes at a time, and the poor guy bartender had to make up for their slack. It was a project just to get another beer. The Cowabunga Nachos. ordered with chicken, came out with beef. We kept the beef as waiting more time wasn't worth it. Well the Nachos in general weren't worth it. They were so boring, nothing exciting and definitely very little flavor. BTW, the complimentary chips that everyone seems to rave about, are boring also, no taste. The salsa does taste and look mass quantity produced, as some have said here, "jarred". Costco's jarred salsa tastes better. Why two stars and not one? The burger, again, was good. Thursday night was trivia night, and the very hot trivia person, Jen, I believe was her name, was the highlight of the evening, very pleasing to the senses. ;-)

We tired to book a 50th bday party of 60 a month in advance- because this place was my mother in laws favorite restaurant (don't know why!) and I was told someone will call me back, 1 week went by & no call. I called again and someone said, someone would call me & never did. Few weeks later we tried to book Mother's Day brunch and was told someone would call me back. Guess what? They didn't! I will never go back!

All you can eat tacos on Monday for a cheap price. Guacamole is very good and seared tuna tacos are phenomenal. Service is good and personnel are friendly. Decor is also very nice.

I'd say this is going to be my new Mexican food spot. Amazing food, great margaritas and our waitress was quick and super friendly. Went on a weekday night, so it was not difficult getting a table, but I can see how some people had trouble because even on a Tuesday night the place was packed! I do highly recommend the food and drinks and i'll be going back for sure.

Excellent food and awesome Margaritas! The wait is a bit crazy but typical for a Friday night. If you can, make sure to sit in Chelsea S, aka "sexy beast!" Section. The best server I've ever had there!

here's the thing... it's not authentic mexican, obviously. its a chain people! BUT... it will definitely satisfy your Mexi craving if you live up in the area since there's nothing else for miles. its good, not great, but the atmosphere is really *cringe* adorable. personally, i love the decor. no complaints about service. i do wish they took reservations though!

Definitely can't wait to go back...we had a really great experience, and the Margaritas were definitely delicious (maybe too delicious....) The food was very good for an Americanized Mexican restaurant, and the service we received was prompt -- our waitress was very friendly.

Went here after driving by so many times and seeing it packed. It wasn't exactly what I hoped. I had steak fajitas, which were good. My boyfriend and sister both had enchiladas. When I asked how they likes them, they both said it was bland. What probably lacked the most was the service. When we walked in there were 5 girls standing at the hostess desk. They all stared at us, like they couldn't imagine what we were doing there. 3 for dinner??? Without a word one took us to our table. Our server was friendly enough. I used to waitress in college so I don't like to bag on them. But this one seemed seriously unmotivated or more likely undertrained. One of the orders were were wrong and he didn't seem to know the menu. I probably won't be back.

I'd love to review the food but didn't have the opportunity. We waited for an hour and just gave up. By the time we left at 8:30 there was a slew of open tables. I can't imagine a more poorly managed situation. I would expect that if a restaurant stops seating people that are on the list, that it would inform them immediately so no more time is wasted and they can move on to a new restaurant. Moreover, I would expect a well managed restaurant to be able to anticipate and be prepared to handle a big crowd on a holiday weekend. We were excited to try this place and have absolutely no desire to go back for another try. I'll try my luck at a place where reservations are accepted, encouraged, and upheld.

Basically the Applebee's of tex-mex food. Typical cheesy overdone "Mexico" feel inside that looks like it was copied from Disney. Remember Chi-Chis? If you miss that mediocre, bland, one-step-above-Taco Bell food, go to Margaritas. I was not surprised once we were seated that it was a chain. Upside: excellent service. PS-parking was ample.

I am picky when it comes to eating Mexican food. This place is definitely a great place to try if you're looking to find good Mexican food. The environment was appealing and clean. We sat outside where no one was, and it was nice and relaxing. It was my first time last week and I have to say it was rather tasty. My cousin and I both split an appetizer and combination fajitas. It was very filling and loaded with spices and flavor. The margaritas were yummy and strong so definitely try one out if you can! Also, our waiter seemed shy or was having a bad day, but overall was helpful. Would have lightened up our experience if he was more outgoing though.

Im going to start out by saying I have a mixed review. First off, I am a volunteer firefighter for the Upper Gwynedd Fire Department, and during hurricane Sandy, Margarita's supplied the guys running calls all night long with three massive takeout bags full of all sorts of food. I would give a 5 based on just this. Until.... My girlfriend and I decided to finally get in there to eat lunch (because every time we tried for dinner it was a 2 hour wait). They started us off with a basket of chips and salsa which was really good, and the salsa had a little kick which I liked. We waited for what felt like an hour before our actual meals came out to the table. I kept saying to my girlfriend that I expect our lunch to be freshly made given that it took 45 minutes to an hour before our food showed up. WRONG! Do you know what food looks like when it sits, and sits, and sits for a while? The top of my re-fried beans were hard, and my g/f's whole meal was as dry as a desert. Not only that, my g/fs burrito literally tasted like dirt and it was painfully dry. It was more than obvious that my girlfriends meal was pre made and was warmed up when it was ordered. I ordered a chicken chimichanga and it was absolutely loaded with cheese, and hardly had any chicken in it. Overall: The decor is tacky, and service is slow, and if you want a freshly made lunch, I would skip over Margaritas.

I work right across the street and I was excited to see this place open as there aren't many dining options around here. I went on opening day and between eating in and takeout, have probably been there at least ten times. The food is okay, not stupendous or terrible, just so-so. I'm fond of the Tacos Del Mar. The service, however, is absolutely notorious! It is *slllllllllllllllllllllow*. The staff moves in a leisurely pace and you can expect an hour and half dining experience during lunch which isn't suitable during the workday. I can't imagine how patrons who drive there feel while they're waiting. I gave them credit at first because they had just opened. Over time it's become apparent the employees are just not properly trained. This includes the management team. For example, they sold me on signing up for a Rewards card and I've given up using it because they look at each other dumbfounded every time I pull out my phone, without a clue what to do or who to ask. Will I be back? Well, it's a few yards away and again, I don't have the luxury of nearby dining establishments. They have me because of the convenience factor. What prompted me to write this review is I ordered takeout today and they had to call me back because they ran out of what I wanted. That was still fine except I asked for a Fish burrito without onions and when I got back, I discovered not only where there in fact, onions in the burrito, but that it might as well had been a onion burrito. Disappointing after waiting 45 minutes for the order to be completed.

Drinks a tasty but extremely pricey compared to the atmosphere/food . Food is average to poor. If you enjoy Applebee's and other mass produced meals, you will be ok. Me personally, can't justify a happy hour or night out with $12 margaritas paired with a frozen dinner. Service is hit or miss. Been 5 times, never really leaving satisfied. Won't be trying a 6th. Hate to sound like a snob or a dick. I don't have a problem dropping $150 for a night out but not on a microwaved meal in a fake Mexican restaurant. Sorry....

First things first, the food is really delicious. Everything I've ever gotten there has been fresh. They also have good food specials during happy hour. That being said, the prices are outrageous!!! I order the shrimp tacos, basic, nothing special. Two regular sized tacos, $10.99. And those were the cheapest tacos! I could have sworn the menu said three tacos, and that there was cheese on the tacos, but maybe I'm wrong. honestly, I could go to Baja Fresh or even Chipotle and get more tacos for the same price. Glancing over the menu, everything seemed to be on the more expensive side. The service was poor. It was busy there, and I understand that, but I was at the bar and still had to wait at least 10 minutes until I got a refill on my sangria (which by the way, had one cherry and a bunch of crushed limes and lemons and seeds....it was supposed to be berry). There were 4 people behind the bar, which seemed like more then enough for how busy it was, and twice, I watched as a bartender looks at my glass and kept it moving. They also aren't very friendly, and are kinda rude, my friend and I were talking, and the bartender just yelled at her "Want another yard?" She didn't hear, so I tapped her arm, and before I could even say anything, he yelled it at her again. I will only be going back for happy hour, because that is the only time the price is reasonable for the food. It makes me sad because I was excited to see a Mexican restaurant and bar opening in the area.

I tried to eat here a week or two back with my family, but the place was PACKED. Inside, it was hard to hear the hostess tell us it would be a 45-60 minute wait. We didn't hang around, and I'm glad. I'd hate to have waited all that time for the quality of food that comes out of the kitchen. Appetizers were good, not great. We had the quesadilla and the jalapeno-cream cheese rolls. The quesadilla was very cheesy, but not a lot of flavor (a theme for this meal, it seems) and the polls were good, but face-melting if you're not accustomed to that sort of thing (my son gagged and my wife cried. I thought they were brilliant, especially with the cucumber ranch dipping sauce). Entrees were just plain dull. The wife's steam fajitas were grilled, but chewy and severely under-seasoned. My son's beef tacos were cold and tasteless, and my plate was piping hot, but not much else to write home about. Even their rice and beans left me missing the Cuban places back home, and if you know me, that says a lot. We didn't stick around for dessert - no coconut on the fried ice cream? What is this, the dark ages?! All in all, a touch pricey for the Quality of food. I can see going for drinks, or if there's a game on and you want to make noise in the lounge, but for a nice, family dinner, I'll stick with Salsa's Mexican Grill. That place rocks!

Live locally, went on a whim and really enjoyed it. I was torn between 3 and 4 stars mainly because of price. I enjoyed my chicken fajitas but wow it was expensive. They gave such a small amount of sides (cheese, sour cream, etc.) and when I asked for more it was extra. I'd go back because in my personal experience I found the service to be excellent. Just wish the price would come down.

I was satisfied with my visit to Margarita's last night but I can't say that it was anything special. I found the service average, the food not memorable, and the drinks overpriced. Specific highlights include: * The hostess seating me in probably the worst spot imaginable , a freestanding table outside the kitchen entrance, I can't help but think that they probably had already filled the table outside the restrooms! Needless to say, I requested and got a seat change. There were tons of seats at that time so 'filling the worst' was totally unnecessary. * The waitress was continuously trying to upsell the margartia's. I had a specialty one to kick things off but never do that after the first as tequila deadens my subsequent tasting ability. Also surprising was that she seemed pretty clueless about both the prices of the drinks (the drink menu annoyingly had no prices) as well as tequila quality - I've never viewed Hornita's as being in the top tier of brands. Good drinks, nonetheless, and her overall service wasn't bad. The wait staff was numerous and attentive. (Except when we needed them, of course.) * Someone dropped a glass outside the kitchen - shards everywhere, especially around the table I was originally seated at, and 5 or 6 staff congregated but seemed to just be standing around while a bus-person did the actual cleaning. It seemed faintly unprofessional for the wait staff to just be pointing glass bits out to some guy crawling around with a rag on the floor. More training is in order. Unless that's the appropriate protocol for handling broken glass in which case this was also an educational experience as well as a culinary experience for me. * The atmosphere was relatively lively, I did not experience the loudness problems other reviewers referenced. Broad range of eaters, pretty casual but my business colleagues and I felt comfortable. * The food itself was fine, we had tacos & chimichangas. It was hot but after two drinks I can't really say if the food was particularly taste-worthy. No after-effects. Prices were a little high for this kind of fare but the portions were sufficient, the drinks were potent, and the chip bowl was promptly refilled. In hindsight, I'd go to Margartia's again because it's close to work but, excluding convenience, I'd rather hit Tex-Mex in North Wales or Plaza Azteca in Plymouth Meeting if I wanted to feel a little Mexican.

The atmosphere at Margaritas is my favorite part I think. The service is the worst part. Friendly but very poor/slow is what I experienced both times. I'd say the food is good, but not out of this world. They do serve fresh chips which are bottomless, so that's a plus. The margaritas are good too. I've heard the fish taco is yummy and today I are the vegetarian quesadilla which hit the spot. I would also say the guacamole is better than some but not great.

Take out experience was horrible. Ordered a salad over the phone through the manager John and waited over an hour. After being apologized to by the hostess, the manager never once came out to apologize or offer me any sort of comp.

We were nervous to try this place out after a number of the reviews here, but we figured it's new and there might have been growing pains. So we gave it a shot and we had a very good experience. Our party of 4 showed up on a Saturday night around 8:00, they told us 35mins wait but we were seated in about 25mins. Our waitress Chelsea was very attentive and came back to the table throughout the night. We never felt the service was slow or lacking. She brought out some chips and salsa while we waited for our drinks, and then later refilled them without us having to ask. The Margaritas here were pretty good and plenty strong without being overpowering. We ordered some apps with our meal and everything came out at a nice interval where we didn't have a table full of apps at the same time we were getting our meal (I don't like when that happens). The food we had was decent. Nothing overly amazing, but everyone enjoyed their meals and we'd go back based on what we all had : 2x Original Fajitas, Famous Taster, Carne Asada Tacos. The minor mistakes we had : Our 2nd round of Margaritas never showed, but our waitress noticed it next time she walked by and immediately went to the bar and brought our drinks over. When one of the Taco dishes show up covered in onions even though we asked No Onions, she realized it before we even had a chance to say anything. We put those two issues more toward Bar and kitchen mistakes, that our waitress fixed quickly. Based on other reviews, maybe we go lucky or the secret is to go later and miss the busy time. Either way, we all had a good time and would go back again.

Mediocre food, there is nothing Mexican about this place other than the names of the dishes. If you remember Chi Chi's, this is the successor. Service was a C, which turned out to be the highlight. Nachos had strings of lettuce throughout, under the cheese - strange. Tacos were fine, though didn't taste very fresh. Chips and salsa were grocery store quality, another highlight. Meats had an odd chive flavor, couldn't quite place it but it was consistent with every bite. Chipotle is 10 minutes away, Tex Mex is even closer, and both are significantly better than Margaritas.

Carnitas street tacos were pretty good, if somewhat small. Ordered a side of Mexican rice with it which was quite flavorful. My wife's Nachos Cowabunga with chicken were very disappointing. Refried beans on the bottom with everything else piled on hiding them until we are partway through. The chicken was plain jane shredded chicken breast with NO seasonings at all. I could make better chicken nachos at home. Definitely not worth the price

3 stars for this place. I enjoyed the food, but for the quantity you get with the prices I do not think I will frequent this place for my Mexican urges. Aside from that the times I have been there the service seemed a bit behind the curve as far as attending to our table and refilling drinks/chips. I would suggest this to friends, but I will probably look elsewhere for future urges.

My coworkers and I have been waiting for this place to open! We literally count down the days and marked our calendars. It's not that we're that big of fans of Mexican food. It's just there hasn't been really good Mexican food around us for a LONG TIME. (The stuff around us started going down hill in quality.) A week or so ago, we found out this place was open. So we rushed on out during our lunch break. The portions were generous and the dishes were good. I would come back here for Mexican. The only thing I would say that could be improved was that service was kind of slow. There were a lot of people there and there were also a lot of waitresses and waiters. I just felt like the environment was a little too laid back for a lunch hour. To get around this, I would just know what you want when you enter and give the waitress the order as soon as you sit down. That helps save time if you are in a bit of a crunch. The free chips were nice and warm. The salsa tasted just right, spicy and fresh. It had chopped tomatoes, onions, and herbs. We had like 3 bowls of it and kept asking for more! My companions and I got variations of shrimp dishes. We tried Shrimp Tacos and Shrimp quesadillas. The price was fair. Everyone went away satisfied.

Been waiting for an opportunity to visit here for dinner since we saw it was newly opened. We had a chance to go tonight for dinner with the entire family. They definitely know how to cater to kids with the bags of fruit snacks and twisty sticks and crayons. The kids meals include a drink and dessert as well. Our server was very nice and polite. The margaritas seemed pretty good but for some reason, it didn't seem like there was a whole lot of drink in the glass. I did get a whole glass of margarita spilled on me and my son. That wasn't very fun. Dinner was just OK. The endless chips and salsa help. We had the fried ice cream which comes covered on crushed pretzels which I thought didn't taste all that great. There was a piece of paper stuck to it which didn't help. The ice cream ended up being comped but I still ended up paying for the spilled margarita. Not quite satisfied with the experience, especially for the price.

I agree with all of the other reviews that talked about service that was lacking but having great food. Our waitress had us in a party of 10 and she seemed like she was rather annoyed that we were there. But again the food was really good, they just need to improve their service. The drinks took a while to get refills, the food came out in different batches, seeming to be prepared at different times. Getting a refill again was horrible after she checked on us. And the whole time we were asking her for things she seemed very annoyed. The building is really cool inside. The hallway on the way to the bathroom is so amazing. The whole building is completely different than the business that was there before them. But they need to get the service in gear before they'll make a very successful run in that building. Also, check out Montgomery County health code reports on this business, do not awful but they're also not great.

Drink service at the bar was fine. That's the only compliment I can give this place. We waited about an hour for our dinners, on a moderately busy night. My sister and I requested dairy-free dinners as we're both vegans. I know - vegans are annoying, but the the only adjustment they had to make to my order was to not put a dollop of sour cream on top. My dinner arrived...with a dollop of sour cream on top. My sister's arrived...with cheese. Considering how long we waited, I would have just scraped my sour cream off, but my sister sent both dinners back while I was away from the table. Again, I'm sounding like a whiny vegan, but there are people who are allergic to dairy and have to regularly make these requests. They don't have a choice when their dinner comes with cheese or sour cream. During the wait for the food, I was content to at least sip my Pacifico beer. Until it ran out. The waitress walked by our table 5-6 times without once glancing at us to see if we needed refills. We finally had to flag her down just to get drink refills. The table next to us had the same problem and got her attention right after we ordered our drinks. At last, our correct dinner orders arrived. It was terrible. A sloppy, soggy, luke-warm burrito. I was too hungry to care at this point. Not once did our waitress even come close to apologizing for the wait or for messing up our dinner orders. I'm not the type of person that chomps at the bit to complain about service. I give everyone a fair shake, and I understand when a server is overwhelmed. I didn't give our waitress any crap or attitude at all, but because she was completely unapologetic, I think this review is warranted.

3 words. Don't Do It. Really, if you want mexican, don't come here. The chips were terrible, bagged for sure. The guac tasted extremely acidic and my hubby said that my food looked like an alien threw up. Tasted that good too. Really, just don't do it. (edited to add: review based off visit 2 months ago)

Delicious! I love Mexican food and this place did not disappoint. Good ambience, fun decor and a nice selection of both food and drinks. I will admit that I am a creature if habit and tend to order their sampling if under the sea tacos, but their regular beef and carnitas ones are delicious too. Great margaritas and sangria too. I would recommend going a bit earlier on a Friday or Saturday night because it can pack a crowd. They also have AYCE tacos on Mondays for $7.99. Yum!

I have been to this place couple of times for dinners and happy hours. I am giving a low rating because of their food....Last time, we got chips and salsa with queso dip. Salsa was not fresh and queso dip was too thinned out that it was dripping. It was very uncomfortable to eat. I would go there for drinks. Good vibe and a affordable prices.

I have been to Margarita's twice with two completely different experiences. The first time we were informed that there would be a 45 minute wait until a table was available. It was a Saturday night, so that was to be expected. As we sat and waited for our table, the staff brought out chips and salsa for all of the customs waiting on their tables. I really liked this idea as sometimes there is a lack of service in the service industry. Our name was called and we were seated in less time than originally told, maybe 30 or 35 minutes. The building was really nice, and the food was really good. There were plenty of televisions so I could watch sports instead of having to talk to my family. The first experience was a good experience. The second time we went for dinner was on a Tuesday. We were seated immediately and our drinks an appetizers arrived in a timely manner. The waitress informed us that they were short on cooks and there would be a delay. We were out with friends so we didn't mind waiting a little bit as it would give us time to catch up and have some good conversation. The waitress continually stopped by to refill our drinks, and occasionally apologized for the delay. At the one hour and thirty minute mark, I had enough of the wait. We were hungry and out of things to talk about. I walked up front and asked to see a manager. The host apologized and let me know that the manager would stop by our table. Shortly after I sat back down, the host came back and confirmed that the manager would stop by any minute. Our food finally came, and we all shoveled it in our mouth. After waiting almost two hours for our dinner, we were starving. We waited a little bit after we finished our food and we received the check. Still no visit from the manager. I wasn't looking for a free meal or even a discount. All I really wanted was the manager to come over and apologize and give me some sort of explanation, but he/she never stopped by. Although the food is very good, I still have to give Margarita's two stars due to the poor management of this establishment. I had high hopes for this place as during Hurricane Sandy they were offering free food to people without power and also to first responders, but my experience there completely changed my opinion. Management really dropped the ball, and although it is a nice place, I will not be returning.

Really hoping for a good experience here, but disappointed. 2 adults and 3 kids....two of which split a meal, so kind of hard to understand how our order was wrong. The meal they brought me was not even close to what I ordered. So I had to wait while my whole family ate their meal for them to bring me my order. Then I choked it down because everyone else was done. Sadly, it wasn't even very good. I got the veggie burrito, and if you love chili sauce, then that is your best bet. Definitely not worth the wait. On the positive side, the waitress comp'd my second margarita!!!! Still the whole experience was less than acceptable. If you are in Montgomery County, and looking for a replacement for Salsa's this is not it. The search continues for some good Mexican food near Lansdale!!!!

My experience at Margaritas was terrible. I ordered a chicken enchilada and when I cut into it, I noticed a long plastic strip with "P-3" written on it, wrapped up in my entree.. Upon showing my plate to the restaurant manager, he apologized and mentioned that someone in the kitchen had inadvertantly made an error, and that P-3 is the packaging from the chicken supplier. Gross....

I love this place. The Margaritas are all very tasty. The only problem is picking which one to try, there are a lot of yummy ones to chose from. The Queso Fondito is delicious as is everything I've had here. They also have a Circle of Friends card and for every dollar you spend you earn points towards a free app or money off, as well as discounts around your birthday. I highly recommend this place. The decor is awesome and all hand carved and made in Mexico. The bar area is always busy.

Lansdale's only Mexican resturant was a true disappointment. While the atmosphere was cool and chips/salsa were amazing, the service was extremely slow and our food was mediocre at best. The only flavor you tasted from the mexican rice was cilantro as it was completely covered. The chimachangas were soggy and bland as well as their burritos tacos, and enchiladas. My wife and I might come back for their over priced drinks, nachos, and the atmosphere, but we will not be ordering food again.

I'm a huge Mexican food fan so I was instantly drawn to margaritas when I saw it was opening. This restaurant lives up to their name well with their huge margaritas and they went perfect with the appetizers we got. The nachos came out and were huge and hit the spot when we wanted something to go with our drinks. The shrimp tacos I got on our menu were a hit with me and my friends, bc I made everyone I went with take a small sample (but not too big bc I wanted to finish them.) The restaurant had a great atmosphere to go with the unique design. Highly recommended and will definitely go back for lunch sometime soon to try more things from their menu!

Food is ok at best, bordering on barely ok. The service was poor because of the waitresses unfriendly attitude. The atmosphere however is nice, nice decor and seemed clean.

Service was slow, but it wasn't the waitstaff. We sat by the kitchen and they were clearly the problem. Lunch for two took over an hour. They had a few business lunches in that looked that they were waiting forever. Hopefully they will work that all out. Food was good, would have been 4 stars if not for the slow kitchen.

We now love this restaurant! The initial bumps were clearly growing pains, and we're happy we went back to try again. We've been there several times now for lunch (great lunch specials and, of course, easier to get a table), and dinner/drinks with friends. Very addictive chips to start, and the service is quite friendly now. We really enjoy this restaurant, and are happy they opened in an area with few great choices!

Not impressed. First time here and 2 of the 4 food orders came out incorrect. My Chimichanga was so small even my kid would have remained hungry. Restaurant decor was really nice though.

Recently moved to the area and have been wanting to try this place for awhile. Had a 45 minute hour wait on a Thursday night. That might not have been terrible for usually that is a sign of good food and service, however they were wayyyy understaffed and that was the reason for the long wait, they had tons and tons of open tables. Once we were seated we waited over 15 minutes for our server to greet us and take our drink order. There was only 2 of us and we got two drinks and our drinks were delivered AFTER our meal showed up! Also, they got my entree wrong. When the bill came considering the terrible service, wrong food and that drinks came after dinner i thought for sure the waitress would have taken something off. We never complain but my fiance was so upset he decided to say something to the manager. I will say, the manager was very apologetic and even gave us a gift card to come back. The only reason we will be going back is because the manager gave us that gift card so we have a free meal waiting. The food was decent, nothing to complain about but nothing special. However, if service is important to you, you def want to skip this place. Very slow and very poor service. Disappointing.

What a great place to eat. Service was fast and friendly. Both of our meals, the combo chicken steak fajitas and chimichanga were outstanding. The salsa and chips are good but a little spicy, but it doesn't stop you from finishing the entire bowl. This will be our newest place to eat on a regular. Prices were reasonable as well.

I am a Native Texan and was SO excited to finally see a legit Mexican food restaurant go up around here. The first time we tried to eat there, we arrived at 6 PM on a Saturday. 2.5 hour wait so we left. We tried it again this past Saturday this time arriving at 5:30. Open tables were everywhere but we still waiting for about 30 minutes. It seemed like they had more people tending to the front of the house versus actual wait staff. Pretty ridiculous. The food was okay. We ordered the chili con queso as an appetizer. The waitress looked at us like we were crazy when we asked if we could have tortillas to go along with it. She then brought us 2 tortillas. I had the chimichanga and it was alright. Pretty flavorless and completely drenched in cheese sauce. My husband had the fajitas and I was laughing at him trying to chew his way thru the steak. My daughter ordered a cheeseburger and it was so burnt that she refused to eat it. I am so disappointed because I had really high expectations. Sorry to say that we won't be going back.

would have rated it two stars but the Chlile Relleno made my meal worth it. It's hard to find a good stuffed chile. it was good, not great. meal portions were on the larger side and quality was average. busy atmosphere, service was ok, not good, not bad.

First visit ,first week in business, they have some challenges with the flow but give it another couple of weeks and it should be perfect. This was the old Bones location which was NEVER good. They completely changed the inside and did a great job. The food was very good for what I had . I will go back frequently and glad there is finally a good restaurant in the area to go to. The only complaint I had was the music was too loud. I realize this is not the best review in detail I could have written, I just wanted to convey it is worth going to and the food is good. I hope it stays that way.

On a weds night, 7 of us arrived at 6:15. We were told it would be about a 20 minute wait, so we went into the bar and pushed two bar tables together. I thought a packed restaurant would have been a good sign of good food and service. The music in the bar was very loud, we could not hear each other, we asked to turn it down which they did. I ordered the hard tacos with steak. The waitress bumbled the plate transfer and one taco fell on the plate which knocked the tomatoes to the floor. When I received the plate I noticed the three tacos were very light. I think I have had meatier tacos at Taco Bell. Very little meat in all three combined. My wife ordered a chicken enchilada. She stated there was little to no chicken inside but way too much onion. I did not take a survey of others at my table but I can say that our two meals were just plain bad. I only list two stars because the staff was friendly. I drove 20 minutes to eat there, I will not return. I have a Taco Bell 5 minutes from my house and would get better meals.

Co-workers and I have been here on several occasions for Happy Hour & lunch. We go because it's a happening place but it's very loud which makes it hard to hear each other. Service is not great (except for a few very good bartenders) the male server that we have gotten on several occasions is horrible and completely unaccommodating. The place is unorganized. They bring food out and have no idea where it goes. They don't have a system for waiting on the tables in the bar area. I started a tab at the bar but the bar was too full so I sat at a table in the bar area with my friends - well this was just too confusing for them. I ended up getting two different bills!!! Also - I had to go up and ask for someone to wait on us, we had been at the table for 20 minutes and servers just looked at us and passed us by. Oh and the food is NOT great - nothing memorable. Order the tomato garlic nachos and you get a small plate with a few chips, some melted cheese and a TINY amount of tomatoes and garlic. El Cactus in Souderton has great Mexican food and it's not that far away. Habanero's Restaurant was closed last time we went :( not sure if it's close for good...

I was excited for this to open, as we can always use a good restaurant around here, and I love Mexican food. I have been twice, and both times it was fine, but nothing special. The decor is great, but the food has been just okay both times. For example, the chicken chopped salad was heavy on mushrooms (not in the description on the menu), and very light on the chicken. I had to search through my salad to find the chicken. The service the first time was great. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive, but not annoying. The second time the waitress was fine, but was a little scatterbrained, and the food took longer than it did when we went on a Friday night. Of course it's still pretty new, so I will go back, but so far it's not too impressive - although fine if you just want a night out with okay food in a nice atmosphere. The margaritas are good, though!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
