Great place for early breakfast and late snacks because it opens 24h. The steaks are really cheap and tastes kinda good especially after you stayed up a whole night studying...

Service sucked. Everything was burned and they only reduced my bill by $3. Waffle was good tho

The service was great. Friendly, charming and attentive staff. Ryan was the highlight of my day. I have never had a better server in any eatery. The chefs do a great job. The food tastes great and looks like the pictures, or better. The country gravy is to die for. Nothing about the service or taste calls for anything less than a round of applause. I would recommend they update the place. Looks a little dingy, but it is very clean. It is a definite must try. You will love it!

Workers here really dont care what you think of them if they decide to be rude out loud. I sat down and wasnt comfortable. So i immediatly moved to a different table. On my way to the table the older man thats always there, looked so upset and complaned to another worker as we were still walking. I usually come here in middle of the night for a one dollar burger. Of course this place will forget anything extra u ask for on side.

At 0900 on Wednesday we arrived and the lot and restaurant was empty. Makes you wonder...but we went in anyway. By the time we left 30 minutes later there were about four tables occupied. I had the original waffle and it was as expected. Wife ordered the biscuit and gravy, and the gravy topping was minimal. The hash browns she ordered with jalapeno and melted cheese. It came with jalapeno and onions. We asked about the cheese and the cook said OK, but he thought we wanted onions and was that OK, and we said yes. They didn't charge for the extra ingredient (they charge for each thing added to hash browns). The waitress was talking to others and we learned it was her first day. She needed prompting for coffee refills. Overall the food and service was good. Would return.

0 STARS! ---------- FOOD: No Idea. Never got any. SERVICE: Non-existent. Why? I never got a waitress and I was sitting at the bar. The one star that is listed is for the cook as he was the only guy working. Now here I am sitting at the bar while 4 employees are standing around talking. One of them says to the waitress that a table is looking for them. It wasnt exactly booming in there with all of about 6 tables needing waited on or eating. DECOR: Its stark and cold and not very attractive inside or out. I guess its supposed to be a diner decor, but its just wrong feeling. ---------- FINAL THOUGHT: This place made me do something Ive NEVER done before. Walk out.

So everyone knows that Waffle House is a tradition, no matter what school you go to. Or if you live in the south, where literally every block has not only a Waffle House, but a Pancake House and an Omlette House as well. But this Waffle House is my college Waffle House. The food will invariably both sop up all the alcohol from the evening, and the next morning make you long for a hangover. It's just so much fun going to Waffle House at 2am and seeing everyone decked out from the frats with sweatshirts over their heels and miniskirts wolfing down waffles/eggs/whatever your poison is. I know all of you know what I'm talking about.

Affectionately known as Vooffle Housen (in a thick German accent), basically just to me and my college roommate, this place both warms my heart and kinda grosses me out. The food is okay, not good, not bad, it just is. Fills you up, particularly at 3am. Try not to think about the grease, the fat, or the pungent chemical cleaners they use to clean the floors, counters, and tables in the place too much or you might not feel so great. And that goes double if you've been drinking, and if you're at Waffle House you probably have (that's kinda the point). Every time somebody would come out for a visit to Lancaster I basically forced them to go here, just once though. Not because they had to try the food, but because it's a tradition. Not to mention it's the only place within walking distance of campus for late night grub, and as a former bartender I do not condone drinking and driving. I have seen everything in this place. From smoking hot yet unfortunately hardly conscious girls to gangbangers intimidating rude patrons sitting at the counter. As a point of interest, when making a scene in Waffle House at 4am it is a bad sign when Mexican gang members with teardrop tattoos on their faces sit on either side of you and suggest you sit down and enjoy a meal together. I did not stick around to see the end result, but needless to say that guy will never treat a waitress like that again. Now if half passed out college kids isn't your thing then maybe you should avoid Waffle House after midnight on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. They will be drunk, they will be loud, and they will be taking up just about every table in the place. It's across the street from a college, these things happen. One more thing, in good old bible country towns like Lancaster, PA (there is both a "Bible College" in the area and a seminary 2 blocks from WH) the Waffle House is just about the only restaurant open on major Christian holidays. Trust me I've looked, even the Chinese food places close up shop, and I had to settle for a daytime trip to my beloved bastion of hog fat, syrup, and Texas toast. Try it! Just don't expect to enjoy it.

This is a great place for very cheap meals. Don't expect the Ritz, but what it is, it is. great breakfasts done perfectly. Just don't ask for any fancy breakfast food no they don't poach eggs. The major downfall is, at times, the service can be slow. My suggestion, sit at the counter and ask for Curt!

I don't live in this area, but I was passing through one night and decided to stop. I really enjoyed my dining experience the waffle house. First of all, the prices were great....like under five dollars for an eggs, toast, and potato dish. The waitors were young, the service was quick. And there were a good deal of people dining in there, so they get a good amount of business, which is always a good sign. I enjoyed my visit to the waffle house and I would gladly go back again if I am in the area.

This place is what it is a cheap place to grab a bite. I like going to this chain because I like the way they make their home fries. I got mine well done with onions and mushrooms. If you are looking for a more upscale place try eating somewhere else.

Solid breakfast in a dive diner setting. Had the hash browns all the way (smothered in everything including peppers, onions, shrooms, cheese, ham, country gravy, and chili) and a sausage biscuit sandwich. Yum! Sit at the counter and watch the kitchen as they work without written tickets. Not the cleanest environment I've ever eaten in, but the niche is dive diner, so I wasn't surprised or turned off.

This place looks like a total dive, but don't let that steer you away. First of all, the food is delicious, but that's not why you should give this place a shot. There's a million places you can get something cheap that tastes decent. Come here for the waitstaff!! I have never experienced such friendly, helpful and funny servers. The atmosphere behind the counter is rowdy and fun. They treat you like you're at an upscale restaurant. Rusty is a great person and server. It was 1PM and he was in great spirits. He even rearranged our silverware because it was on the table sideways. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. It was way more than I expected on a quick stop on a road trip. Rusty had several other customers and treated them all the same. For what I'm sure these people are getting paid, I canst believe they even smile let alone treat their customers so wonderfully. Definitely stop here.

Delicious waffles, great service. Waitress gave us a third poached egg just in case the two we ordered didn't come out well, and offered to steam the hash browns for us- (for health reasons). They even gave us a nice hat since one of the people in the party was there for the first time.
