One of my favorite Pizza joints to go to. Great Food... Not just the Piazzas.. Very rare to have such a big selection of Pizzas. My Mom and Dad even get Pizza here.. Being from Europe, they say their pizza "rocks". I lover their cheese steak sandwich. I wished they would deliver.. Very friendly staff! Thank you! :)

The food is great, you can tell they spend a lot of time preparing the food. Great flavors and always made to order.

Every square inch of the pizza top is... well... topped! Very friendly staff. Owner regularly on site. My family and I regularly get their Pizza and a Stromboli. Always STUFFED with fresh, quality ingredients. This has been my pizza haunt for over 10 years. It's been great watching it grow in popularity. Their Salads are iceberg lettuce only. Some people like that, some don't. The Subs, especially the cold subs, are OVERFLOWING with meat! The wings have tons of sauce on them. All levels of spicyness. The bruschetta they make is so good, my mouth is watering for it, and I think that is what I am going to have to get tonight!!

Large menu. Pizza was above average and the hot wings were good although they could have been spicier . Definitely will go back.

Very good, creative, packed high pizza. Their pizza is a little on the expensive side, very much on the unconcerned-for-your-health side, but nevertheless serves as one of the best places for pizza in Lancaster. In my opinion, its best as a place to grab a slice rather than a whole pie. Only real complaint is they aren't in the city and a late night pizza run includes a drive.

It's a yummy pizza shop! It can get confusing during the busy hours but I appreciate their wide variety in pizza choices. You can go with their plain cheese or pepperoni or try their white pizza, chicken parm, pizza, chicken alfredo pizza.... all really good. They also serve some other items such as fries, salad, subs... but it's not as good as the pizza. It's a nice quick meal for lunch and works well during a lunch break. Staff is fairly friendly - even if they sometimes remind me of the soup nazi....

For Lancaster, this is a great pizza shop. Little pricey, but they serve high quality food, owners are always there, and the whole family pitches in to help. clean, great food and beer. I go there on a regular basis, and it is always good.

Pizza is average but chicken cheesesteak is huge and delicious. Weird stuff sometimes like little kids running the register, but they do better than many clerks counting change.

Pretty good pizza! When I go to a pizza shop for the first time, I always get pizza and save the other stuff for another visit. So next time Ill get pasta. ---------- FOOD: I got 2 slices with mushrooms and a coke. This is my standard test for a pizza shop. I was surprised at how good they are. Granted, Ive had better, but Ive also had far worse. Usually slices are overdone since they are cooked a couple of times since it was raw dough, but these were pretty good. DECOR: Its your standard pizza shop feel. Laminated wood booths, pizza behind some glass, italian paintings on the wall. Its a nice clean place with lots of space (even tho it doesnt seem like it at first). SERVICE: It was a bit confusing as to where to stand. A girl was down here taking orders, a guy was up there ringing you up and taking your drink order. For a first timer I wasnt to into the spin around in circles idea of ordering. As for wait staff, there isnt any. They wont wait on your table, but they will bring your food out to you. How they keep track of that when its really busy I have no idea. ---------- FINAL THOUGHT: Yeah, Ill go back. It was good. Ill put it in my top 3 recommended local pizza places.

This place has awesome pizza. We ordered from here on New Year's Eve, and went to pick it up. The guy who took my order over the phone didn't give me a confirmation number or even ask for my name. So when I got there and was asked for the number, I had none and they looked annoyed with me. I'm overlooking that though, since they were quite busy. The kid who rang me up could not have been more than 12 years old - guess it's a family place ;) We just ordered a large cheese pizza, and it was very tasty. Good amount of cheese, flavorful sauce, and not too much dough. I wish they had this place down in Florida - I'd be a regular customer! But it's nice to know there's really good pizza in Lancaster - I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area.

Pizza is great, very wide selection of choices. Hoagies are delicious as well!! If you go during lunch or dinner, expect to be there a while, can get very busy. Ordering can be confussing at first, know what you want and be specific. Prices are a little high, but food qualtiy is excellent.....thats why i"m a regular here!!!!!

The chicken cheese steaks here are BOSS. One of my co-workers can't get down with Venice, but everyone else at ProspectMX is a fan of Venice. As I said above, the cheese steaks are pretty good (although probably not the best in the city) and they have some unique themed pizzas (Seafood Alfredo, Mexican, Chicken Parmesan, Buffalo Chicken, etc). Also, anytime you want to buy a beer, u can get a beer. They also have lottery tickets and wi-fi. The rules for drinking beer were explained to me in great detail by the manager... "You want beer, you here, you have beer. Anytime!"

We're pretty big fans of Venice. Good pizza, lots of variety, and friendly staff. If you order a pizza cooked fresh it is always great. If you get a slice from the pizza's on display, the crust will be a bit crispy from the reheat. I'm not bothered but my brother-in-law thought it was too crispy. Great soups - just a bit salty on the crab bisque but still very tasty. Salads and sandwiches are good too. I've had the greek salad and the chicken cheese steak sandwich. Price is worth the "better than domino's" quality you'll get!

I prefer the homemade sub rolls at Caruso's... their's were too soft and flavorless. An uninspired chicken cheesesteak unfortunately. They had some creative looking pizzas but I did not try any of those.

Great food, I've enjoyed every meal I've had here. Busy place, but they keep up well with the crowds. And it's busy because it's good. Some of the best pizza in the area, and good rolls for the steaks too. A nice varied menu, excellent displays of food behind the glass, and friendly helpful staff. Prices are reasonable, good portions.

Pretty good pepperoni pizza. My parents loved the supreme pizza because it had a lot of toppings. My dad mentioned it's some if the best pizza he has eaten due to that reason. The extra spicy wings I would avoid if you have stomach problems lol. They are hot!!! :) but they have a great flavor even though my mouth felt on fire all night!!

We got a few Italian hoagies, oops I mean subs, from here and the meat was fresh and the roll was great. They are also very friendly. 5 YUMMY stars for this place.

The plan was to stop by on the way to a little league game in Mountville, place an order, leave to drop son off, and come back for pick up....and go eat at the game. Simple plan, right? Two problems arose...first, whoa Nellie, how can I figure out what to order, when 15 or so specialty pizzas are staring me in the face? We ordered a whole pizza-crust pizza for $11.99 (I believe), but with specialty slices with toppings including onion rings, french fries, seafood (which I've heard is amazing), and my order of BBQ chicken, I need to go back to work my way through some more of these options. We also ordered a chicken parm sandwhich, and left. Time lost to an amazing menu is a good problem. Upon return for pickup, we lost time again, but this due to a 10 minute wait for the pizza. I suppose a pretzel crust pizza may take more time to prepare, but we had given 30 minutes as is between order and pick up, so that should have been ample time. Hence, by the time we got back to Mountville, we missed out on our son's first inning of pitching. All things considered, that may have been a good thing...poor outing. Still, one star detraction for the wait time. In all, I'd say those who live near Venice are pretty fortunate. It's a bit pricey, but good things often come with a cost...pay to play, baby! I'm sure we'll be back again when passing through!

Decided to try what's gonna be my new neighborhood pizza shop. I'm happy with it! Had the taco pizza which was to sloppy for me but taste good. Also had a slice of chicken ranch buffalo whic is my favorite. Staff is attentive and very helpful.

This is my 10 year old daughter's favorite place for Pizza. Pizza is good, subs are made a little weird for me. The meat is on top with all the fixings on the bottom, i can't eat a sub like that. But the cheesesteaks are good!!! Haven't really tried too much from here yet, but so far we like it!!!! Wish they would deliver though!!!!

Now when your craving for a great pizza hits, you can have it at Venice on a superb pretzel crust. Mrs. Foodie and I thoroughly enjoyed the flavor and texture of the crust, coupled with our favorite sausage and onion toppings. If you're in the area you really should stop by and give your tastebuds a treat. The staff is friendly and attentive. Sign up for monthly email specials too. If we're thinking of a place to go for a casual bite and a beer, we head to Venice.

Great pizza shop. Huge menu. Good good. When they get busy, however the service is very slow. Get there before or after the lunch or dinner rush. Our orders weren't what we ordered but they made it right without a fuss.

I have never had a bad meal here! Huge portions (lunch AND dinner the next day!) And they do serve wine and beer. The veal parm is so tender. The service is always friendly. They have a separate dining room if u want table service. I'm Italian and a chef, so i know good Italian food!

The owner of this place is amazing. We had just moved here from Md. and decided to order from Venice, but when I got there my debit card came back declined (bank error) and so we had no way of paying for our food ($45) so he said just take it and bring back the money another time when U get settled. U would never have that happen in Md. The food was great and now they have a customer for life. The cheese steaks are awesome.

Good food but no notice that the prices of all specials are only for eat in, not take out. Nasty surprise.

Wow where do I begin? Fish tank needs cleaned, bad sign when the restaurant pet fish are in dirty water. Pizza slices that you can buy out in the open for flies to land on. Expensive..expensive..expensive.. $11.50 for a turkey sub & soda?? Floor was so greasy my feet kept sliding while sitting at the table. This was my second visit and my first visit was just as horrible, I won't be back!

This place is a little farther from my house than other places I'd traditionally get take-out from, but we're new to the area and still like to try new places. We hopped on Yelp earlier today and saw that Venice Pizza & Pasta had a $10 for $20 deal (this offer may not be available any longer, depending on when you are reading this). We got a medium cheese calzone and a large plain pizza. We called ahead for pick-up. The order was ready right on time. When we walked in, the place was pretty busy--a great sign. As we walked to the register to pick up and pay, we saw all of the ready-made pizza that was available. It all looked fabulous: such a good variety. We were greeted by the friendly staff quickly and the Yelp deal was redeemed with ease; it amazes me the experience I've had in other places while trying to use a deal from a smartphone app or email, such as Groupon, Yelp or Foursquare--it has been my experience that many people don't relay to their staff the details/process of the special. But not here; the manager or owner (not sure which) hopped on his laptop and typed my code right in. OK. Enough about the service. Let's get to the food. The calzone was freaking incredible! Perfect size for my husband and I to split in in half. The ricotta cheese was delicious and creamy, complemented by high quality mozzarella. The dough was fantastic and the sauce was chunky and flavorful. By far the best calzone I've had yet in Lancaster County. The pizza also was the authentic NY-style that I grew up with; I'm not from NY, but I am from Northeast PA and this is the style I'm used to - thin crust, perfect amount of sauce and and grease to give it flavor, but not enough to make it sloppy. Delicious!

In town visiting family used Yelp to find a good pizzeria and this place did not disappoint us. We used the $20 for $10 voucher from Yelp showed the cashier the code on the phone and we were good to go. The pizza was awesome, loved the mozzarella sticks. Pleasantly surprise to find good quality pizza in Lancaster :)

The pizza here is great. I concur with the other reviews. The hidden treasures on the menu however are the cheese steaks. While not true Philly-style cheese steaks, they rock in their own way and are super nummy. Try them! As for ordering, as a regular I've got it down pat, but it can be confusing, especially if they're busy and the line is out the door. Which at the lunch and dinner rush can be quite often. My suggestion: order off-peak dining times. They're a little pricey comparatively, but you're getting great value and quality for the price. Decor is pretty standard "pizza shop in a strip center," but pay close attention to how clean and organized the place is. As soon as it slows down, the entire staff immediately moves to keep the place spotless and prepped for the next rush. Best pizza and cheese steaks in the area!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
