I've lived in Lancaster for four-and-a-half years. And I went into Stubby's for the first time last week with a buddy to catch the first round of NCAA football playoffs. Man, have I been missing out! Located on the southwest corner of Frederick St and N. Shippen in Lancaster City's east end, this is the quintessential neighborhood bar. The two things that immediately stand out about Stubby's are, first and foremost, the place is immaculate. I mean, you could almost eat off the floor. This, to me, is the surest sign of a proprietor that takes pride in his establishment and runs a tight ship. Secondly, the service was amazing. While sitting at the bar, I was never left waiting to be asked if I needed a refill, if the food was good, if I needed anything else... you get the picture. This is a cozy corner bar with a great selection of awesome wings and other standard delicious pub fare. There are plenty of TV's to catch your favorite game. You can tell that there are a lot of regulars here. And, I will definitely be back!

Stubby's has everything I look for in a neighborhood sports bar. -The menu has a nice variety of pub fare, highlighted by the great cheesesteaks, buffalo wings, and a surprisingly good grilled cheeseburgers. -The bar is stocked with most liquors and brands if you want cocktails. One thing I would change is their draft beer selection, not many craft beers to choose from other than Troegs seasonal. -Service is usually friendly, fast, and accommodating. These servers work very hard, seriously there's usually only one or two people working the whole room, you will be impressed. So in conclusion Stubby's is a great place to come enjoy some good food, watch a game, and hang out with some cool people. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed, plenty of HD TV's and good music. So yeah, come check this place out, I like it a lot.

Excellent atmosphere, good food, decent prices.....would definitely hit this place up again. Only real issue was sitting at the end of the bar, the bartenders rarely came down to check on us. Had to wave them down several times, not only for us but for other customers.

Food was ok but they have a really good beer selection. Amazing place to watch sports and have a fun time.

Hands down BEST bloody mary's!!!!! Kevin the bartender is great, Joy is fun, Claude runs a nice place here, never a bad experience. Food is pretty good to boot, do yourself a favor and go, just not on Sunday's cause I don't ever want them running out of bloody mary's!

Love the wings- always perfect size. Stubbys fries with that makes a perfect meal. Nightly beer specials and great atmosphere.

Recently at Stubby's with a group. Have never had staff etc. making sure everyone was happy with food and service. Best place ever to watch the amazing triple crown race. TV's. All around the place. Food amazing and everyone in the group wants to return again. Hamburgers fantastic!

It's a good local place and the stromboli is a favorite. Nothing here is amazing but the food and drinks are consistent and reasonably priced. I'd give it 3.5 but I'll give 4 rather than 3.

Spent $20 on ultimate cheese fries and buffalo chicken sliders. The sliders were tiny pieces of chicken tender with no hot sauce or our cheese as described. When we asked if we ordered incorrectly the response was no and we were brought sides that were missing instead of tossing the chicken etc. the cheese fries were definitely reheated and dried out. There were little to no toppings under the thin layer of cheese. I've eaten here before and really enjoyed it. Tonight completely changed my opinion of this establishment.

Love this place! They had a fantastic free buffet breakfast on St. Patrick's Day and a bagpiper to entertain us! I was impressed with the size and fantastic condition of this restaurant. The owners were on-hand to make sure that everyone was being taken care of. Fantastic job!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon. Great service, really good food, and fair prices. I got the Suicide wings and my friend good a 1/2 lb burger. The wings were good but far from "Suicide" hot. My friend thought his burger was great. Check it out next time you're in the area. They have a spot around the corner where you can sit outside.

I stumbled into Stubby's whilst in town on business. I was looking for a place to catch a hockey playoff game. The place looks just like your typical neighborhood bar. The inside was cozy and clean. The staff and patrons were very friendly. Try the Cajun wings. They were sublime. Sundays and Mondays are $2.00 Jäger shots. Hot dogs are $1 all day, everyday. The beer was cold and fresh. I would definitely go out of my way to visit here again.

Stubby's is a quaint little bar tucked away on Frederick St. Beer tap selection is minimal but the staff is friendly and helpful. Claude is kind and fun. Tuesday night trivia is lots of fun! Tomato bisque and potato chowder are amazingly delicious!!!! Have a great time and get to know everyone!!!

Food is great, usually get their wings which are amazing, and a steak sammich, which is also the best in town (sorry Cap'n Gus)

Stopped in for lunch. Great atmosphere if you like small local sports bars. I live 30 minutes or I would definitely become a regular. Regardless I will be back. Good wings, crab balls, cheesesteaks and my wife loved the Italian sub.

Arrived in Lancaster for the first time and asked yelp for sports bar, first one was Stubbys and it looked decent. They gave a decent selection of beers, the special was a burger that was great and everyone was very friendly and helpful as I was new to the area. According to a patron the Bloody Mary's are made by one of the bartenders and are out of this world. Good amount of TVs for catching the game, which I liked. The only complaint I can have is the parking is limited, but located in more of a residential area so to be expected. Will definitely go back for college and NFL games.

Can't really ask for anything more, it's a great neighborhood bar. Service is fast and friendly, prices are reasonable and food is well made and served late.

Very nice local bar. Lots on tap and the wings are great. Also a plethora of flat screens to watch your favorite sports team.

Fun Sports Bar! Great place to come with friends and watch a game. Good beer selection, though a little low on crafts & micros. Food is good, but pricy, ($10 for a dozen wings, add $2 for Celery & Blu), but their daily beer specials help offset that cost. Definitely one of the better Sports Bars in Lancaster!

The tomato bisque soup has cheese on top & bacon. Very good. My wife wanted more tomato taste though, but still liked it very much. The croutons suck up the soup and taste fantastic. Pollack Johnny's Sausage was good. Price was a little high for something hot dog size, but it had like a sweet & sour relish sauce that was fantastic. The actual sausage had no distinctive taste after thinking about it. The wings were spicy, but not really as hot as we'd hoped, but $1.95 extra for celery & dressing??? That normally comes with a true order of buffalo wings. In any case, the wings had a good taste, but not as crunchy or zippy as we'd like.

My friends brought me to Stubby's while I was in town visiting them from Atlanta. I never know what to expect with bar food, but this was great! I had a buffalo wrap and the sauce was soooo spicy, just how I like it! The bathrooms were clean and the service was good, as well. Great neighborhood bar!

This is a fantastic sports bar. Located in the middle of a neighborhood in Lancaster PA. Very clean, well priced, good food for a sports bar. We had wings, soups and Philly sandwiches. All good. Good service. Obvious lots of locals. If I lived near here I would weigh 300 lbs from all the beer and food! Highly recommend esp. if you want to catch a game!

This is a great corner bar to go and get some good food and drinks. The help is awesome and you can order food up to 1AM. The wings are really good and you can get them in all different flavors. Plenty of TV's to watch sports, there is a game room, jukebox and a decent size bar. It is a No Smoking bar. There is also plenty of seeting to meet up with friends and watch a game or to grab a bite to eat. Parking can sometimes be a pain. Do not park by the cemetary and make sure to hide all your electronics. It is a mixture of age brackets that come here. It is safe to go to and I have not really seen any fights there. Other then thatm it is a cool place to chill. I would recommend coming here.

Decided to come here on a whim after a day of shopping. I couldn't be any happier with this decision as the atmosphere was inviting and relaxing from the start. The bartender, Kevin, was extremely courteous, friendly, and provided excellent customer service. The burger I ordered was made to perfection and quite filling. If I lived in the area, I would definitely become a regular at this establishment.

My parents live near Lancaster, and we are visiting for the holidays. Wanted a bar to go watch the Flyers game and have a beer. Parking is nearby, and we walked in to a friendly staff. Good atmosphere as well. Somewhat busy, but the game wasn't on a big screen, so I asked the bartender if they could put it on one of the big screens. Not only did he put it on, but changed the screen in front of our table for us. Perfect Guiness pour each time as well. Other than the score of the game, great experience. Plus we ordered fries to go for my son. HUGE amount of fries and great sauce for them too. Definitely will go here when I'm back in town.

Good service and good food. My friends wanted to come for the waffle fries and I got the cajun wings. I haven't stopped thinking about them for a couple of days now. Pretty much just waiting till i have an excuse to go back and get more. I usually don't care for bar food but they do bar food without cutting the extra corners.

As far as a restaurant sports bar this place is great. Friendly staff that will make sure your drink isn't empty. Food is good. Good place to get wings and waffle fries.

Bar located next to my buddy's house. Not the hippest place around on a weeknight, but the beer is cheap. The staff for the most part was friendly, but the bartender was giving my friend a lot of grief about his ID. I really don't know what the issue was, but it made me feel awkward. The food here is standard pub fare, but it is really executed well. Try the loaded fries....complete overkill but definitely worth it.

Small neighborhood bar within walking distance from our house. Good food, decent beer selection. One of the better options for watching Sunday football. It gets an extra star now that it's smoke free.
