I am on vacation in the area and was recommended to go to Molly's. When you walk in you start to wonder if it is just a cheap looking bar because you can't see any tables only the bar. Once we got to the back with the tables we met our absolutely wonderful waiter who was so nice and genuine! There was great service. I had the filet and it was great. $32 a lot for a dinner but was well worth the money. I would defenetly recommend this to someone. Very nice restaurant.

Tight little bar with dinning beyond it on the first floor. The second floor had another bar (same size) with a few tables around it and an outdoor rooftop patio. They actually weren't that busy on St. Patrick's Day (surprising for an Irish bar), but we were scolded by the server that if we wanted to sit at a table then we needed to order food (which we ended up doing). The bacon was fantastic and cooked to perfection.

Made the mistake of trying this pub out again. Had we not bought a half price coupon we would have left before ordering food. Place had an odor like dirty water. We sat down to a wrinkled tablecloth and stared at a stained, dirty tablecloth on the next table. Menus were old and dirty. Dining room was empty at 6PM on a monday. Now we know why. According to the waitress the Irish stew was supposed to be freshly made yet came to me lukewarm. Meat was tough and obviously reheated. Wife's asparagus Rollatini was ok. Service was good but we were literally the only ones in the dining room at 6 PM on a Monday !!! This is an Irish Pub and the Irish Stew should have been fresh and outstanding, not lukewarm and reheated. This place has changed hands many times over the years and should again. Biggest mistake was not reading the last inspection report by the health dept. which had many violations verifying our feelings of lack of cleanliness.

Thought we were in for a treat when we were able to sneak a table on the upstairs deck. (That's the only reason this place gets any stars...the deck is a nice and cute place to hang out. But be prepared to hang out...for awhile.) People had reservations...must be a good place, right?! Server was out of her mind, which she noted was due to working on the deck, but I would have to beg to differ. She greeted us and left in the middle of telling us what was on tap. Then came back to finish, and left before actually taking our drink order. Eventually she started to take our food order and left WHILE MY HUSBAND WAS SPEAKING to 'grab the waters ya asked for.' While ordering our app & entrees, she didn't write anything down and asked us if we "had a second option" for our appetizer because they "might be out" of our first choice because it is "prepared fresh every day." That's cool, I like house made things that are fresh daily. But....it's 7pm on Saturday, pretty sure you should still have prep. Also, pretty sure you should actually know what you're out of. But, we obliged and gave her a second option....that she never brought us, which we realized when our entrees came out. My husband's burger was missing half of the toppings he asked for (writing down your customer's orders will usually remedy this) and the lettuce clearly had a vacation under the heat lamp. My Cobb salad was 95% SOLID romaine hearts and the other 5% was enormous chunks of blue cheese, deli sliced turkey, and vac packed avocado. Yumm.... :/ We mentioned she forgot our app and that the burger was wrong, so she did comp my husband's beer. Which is a nice gesture. But I didn't come out to eat to get free a free Guiness, I came out for good food and service. Suppose we came to the wrong place. Should have gone to the Conestoga....live & learn.

Good food, not so good service. I'll go there if there's nothing else to do because I enjoy the food. I have yet to see any member if the staff smile....

Stopped in here for an early lunch and as soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by obviously sick staff - both the bartender and the waitress were hacking and blowing their noses. We should have turned around and left as the whole experience was sunk from this point forward. Waitress was nice enough and attempted to make nice to our kid. I know the temptation is high...but please don't touch my kid's hands with your germ infested hands that I just saw you cough into!! Enter psycho mom hand sanitizing mode. Ugh. Moving on. Molly fries were not as good as in the past. They used raw white onions instead of scallions, and barely any bacon. Cobb salad had a hair in it and tomatoes and avocado in the salad were not ripe in the least. DH's burger was ok. I think we're done coming here....

OK spot. Decent tap list--had Avery Maharajah ($7 for a pint!). Also enjoyed a BBQ pulled pork which was too sweet but had a tangy sauce that balanced it. Crispy onions on top were a good touch. Beer-battered onion rings were good too. The overall experience wasn't too memorable, and I probably wouldn't visit again. Much better local options.

Came here from San Diego - food was good - service was good. They had a singer that had a beautiful voice! Very happy!!!

Right before we moved to Lancaster we stopped here while apartment shopping. We wanted to find a place to catch dinner, grab a drink, and watch some football. Molly's was perfect for our needs! I was really impressed because the bartender wouldn't turn the TV volume up until the people eating in the restaurant area had left and it was just people at the bar. I thought that was really considerate - and we didn't mind watching the first few minutes of the game without sound on. I got a burger and it was soooo good. Very pleased. Prices were very reasonable and staff is friendly. Not the widest beer selection I've seen in Lancaster but I found a seasonal beer I was happy with. All in all, great spot!

We go here a lot because it's local, the food is great, and the staff is always friendly. We used to live in NYC and are quite the foodies but I can personally say that Molly's Reuben sandwich is the best I've had in the tri-state area. The restaurant is clean, family friendly and very reasonably priced. Burgers are better than any big chain restaurant and we always feel good supporting another local business.

Molly's is a nice bar in Lancaster that has a very friendly staff and owner. The food selection is decent and so far everything I have tried there is delicious. My friend lives down the street so when I come to town to visit we always go to Mollys. They have live entertainment, an upstairs outdoor bar area and even offer a carryout store in the back. I have never had a bad experience at Mollys and would highly recommend checking it out when your looking for a bar to hit up in Lancaster.

Food was great. My burger was cooked perfectly. The staff was extremely nice and even made my kids chicken tenders and fries even though they did not have a children's menu. Couldn't have had a better experience. Will go again.

My fiancé and were here maybe two months ago. Her first time, my first in a year or two. I don't know, maybe I need to go on a busier night but, nothing excuses cold macaroni and cheese.

Stopped by Molly's for a bite when early for an appointment nearby and ordered my fave French Onion Soup. After 1 bite, the "chef" happened to be sitting at the bar opposite, I inquired if this was (incredibly obviously not) homemade? The answer "I can't possibly make homemade stock in a kitchen this size!" Funny. I do. At home. In a residential, not commercial, kitchen. Not sitting my fat ass at a bar during business hours. Oh, and by the way, I won't charge you $6.00 + tax + gratuity for the can. BTW if you want take out beer, be prepared to spend an additional charge of you want to use your debit card for incredibly overpriced beer. And... OF COURSE there's a tip jar for the cashier...

A friend and I came here for lunch one time and ordered a couple melts. We were surprised at how they looked but it was honestly the best melts we ever had. We talked about that place the entire ride back to Connecticut, we can't wait to go back there next time we visit Lancaster. The staff was very fun and friendly too; highly recommend

Friendly staff, decent food. Would score higher, but food service is rather slow. Bartenders are great.

They are now selling tap fills for growlers, which is a nice touch. However, they are charging a dollar extra if it's a non-Mollys jug. How petty. All the other beer bars refill anyone's growler at no extra charge, as a common courtesy. The staff at the carry out are friendly and helpful, but this frivolous up-charge is a deal killer for me. It's the not the amount, it's the greed.

Delicious black shrimp pasta and shepherds pie. Great customer service. Very good family restaurant or place to hang out. Great people too. The waitress and host were amazing and know their food and drinks there.

My wife and I went there for the first time last week at the suggestion of a friend. Walk in the door and you are welcomed by a busy neighborhood bar. Live music was playing. The musician was setup at the front of the establishment which meant while sitting for dinner at the back it wasn't too loud. Perfect. Food was very good and portions were plenty. Definitely going to make this a regular stop.

When the previous owners Gary and George oned this place, it was consistently awesome and a lot of fun to go to. When Tony Maglietta bought it, it became thug central, and he himself can sometimes be really hostile to customers. Sadly I no longer want to go to this even though it's only a couple of blocks from my house. Note that all of the other reviews on here rave about drinking here, not eating here. It's a real shame.

Originally tried to go to Lancaster Brewing. Place was packed with about an hour wait. Decided to try Molly's and was glad we did. Nice people, nice looking place & good food & beer. Alot sounded good so it was hard to choose. Ended up with a burger & a bowl of Irish Stew. Burgers are big - 8 0z. never frozen. Both were excellent. Next time I say to hell with health and I am going after some Molly's Fries. They looked delicous.

We came on st Patrick's day for breakfast around 10 AM. We waited an hour with our name on the list to be told at 11 that they are not going to seat us because "they are out of breakfast". Not only were they not apologetic but they were rude. We will never be back.

I was visiting Lancaster and a few new friends lived very close to this pub, and we ended up spending a lot of time here. What a fun place! The bartenders were so incredibly friendly, the drinks fairly priced, and the clientele was so pleasant, engaging, and entertaining to be around. Nice seating area outside, as well. When I end up back in Lancaster, no question about it, I'll make it back here at least a couple of times.

A great place to have drinks when it's warm out. The upstairs deck is very nice. Spent many a late summer night out with friends. Haven't been to the downstairs yet, but have friends who like it for lunch.

The famous burgers are still good, but this place has gone downhill in terms of service... I'm blaming the focus on their newly added six-pack store extension. Good for you, but don't forget about the restaurant that put you on the map in the first place. Service in the last few trips has been either severely inattentive (waited 40 minutes for burgers that arrived barely warm!) or downright rude. This is not a very family-friendly place, but adults who can kill time drinking beers while waiting for their food will fare better.

Stopped there Saturday night after jazz mass at St. James. Real homey atmosphere, has such a neighborhood bar feel to it. Everyone was friendly and service was great. My shepherd's pie was excellent and it went well with the nice pale aie they had on tap. They had lots of nice choices for beer. But then i see this table next to us and they're drinking freakin Coors Lite, those people should be banned. Other couple with us had a mexican pizza type dish - who the heck orders mexican in an Irish bar anyway? - and an italian dish - both were delicious. My wife had the fish and chips and she didn't think it was all that good. Since i finished it for her, i thought it had a sort of arthur treacher's feel to it - nothing special about it. So she gives the joint 3 stars. Then I went down the stairs to use men's room and there's no sign on the door. Confused, I looked at the other door which fortunately said, "Olivia" so i went into the unnamed door. I really like the neighborhood feel to the place. Looks like a great place to go on a summer night too.

This used to be a place for a great meal and a great pint. The service is still great. Something has happened back in the kitchen. Example: The fish and chips used to be cod filets with homemade batter and fresh-cut fries. Now, it's Van de Kampish fish and Ore Ida fries. Get the pint, but eat elsewhere until they straighten out the kitchen.

This is one of the worst dinners I have ever had in Lancaster. I have had plenty of drinks in the upstairs area, (which is classy and well decorated) and assumed that the food would be decent. What a surprise. All 6 members of my party were extremely dissapointed in appetizers and entrees. The ambiance also leaves a lot to be desired.
