So fabulous! We took our daughter there, a new Lancaster resident. Don't be afraid of the Octopus, just spectacular. And, as others have stated, do order the soufflé. We had a chocolate and a lemon, both equally delicious. They make a special point of noting on their menu the dairy free items, gluten free, vegan, etc., a great touch. And they offered to make a regular menu item dairy free - and were very happy to do it. We will be back!

Excellent! While visiting from Miami, we stopped for dinner. My husband had the lamb tagine which was full of robust flavours. My forager's delight was excellent & creative. My salmon was cooked perfectly, with a crispy skin, which I never eat, but couldn't resist this one. The soufflé was superb with its sweet lemony flavour. It's BYOB. Teas are very good & nice variety. Nice decor.

really impressed. the food was good the atmosphere was just right. got the prix fixe menu. was worried when we got there and we were the only table. but the place filled up quickly. not only that but the same entrees were included on the prix fixe menu. I reluctantly got the chicken and was very impressed with how it was done. my dinner companion also raved about the chicken. the pork belly salad was amazingly flavorful... everything had a very subtle twist in flavor. like the salad had one or two mint (??) leaves in it... and it just brought out a completely different flavor. and I don't even like mint! the soufflé is. a.mazing. must have. plan on going back for brunch soon and getting the soufflé. we ordered it at the beginning of the meal. planned ahead!

NOISE was the biggest issue we had with Citronnelle. The noise level was so bad that it made normal conversation difficult at best, and seriously impacted our ability to enjoy our dining experience. The wait staff was very pleasant and attentive. No complaints here. The food was wonderful, both in the quality of preparation and the presentation. The menu offers an excellent variety of choices, but If you are use to eating in a restaurant with an extensive menu, I would suggest that you check their current menu on line before you go. We did feel that the menu was a little pricey. We would eat at Citronnelle again, maybe for brunch, or for dinner at a time when it wasn't so crowded. Don't forget your wine!

I come to Citronnelle whenever I visit friends in Lancaster and love the food, the service, really everything about it. It is the same kind of hip fine dining experience that you can get in Brooklyn except that it is in downtown Lancaster and is BYOB. On our recent visit the dinner was so good that we came back for brunch the next day. The menu is very focused and had changed since our last visit with choices that were well-chosen for the season. For dinner, we started with creamy crab croquettes, and they are very good. These are not your typical crab cakes--these have a unusually sinful taste and texture. Next I had the Lamb Tagine and it was to die for--so many flavors, all of them delicious. If you like it spicy, you should ask for a bit more fire as mine was safely on the mild side. My wife had the salmon and it was a different animal from the farmed ones that are ubiquitous these days--super tasty! For desert we went crazy with both the air cake and the sorbets. Both were excellent, with the air cake very creative and unusual and the sorbets (chocolate and strawberry rhubarb) exploding with flavor. All this whetted our appetites for brunch. We had the bread basket, the leek and cheese soufflé, the open face market omelette, and the andouille sausage. Hard to pick the highlight because it was all so good, but combination of the spicy sausage and fluffy soufflé was wonderful, and the croissant and other bread basket goodies were delish as well. All of this is a bit of a splurge because Citronnelle is not inexpensive. However, the food is consistently excellent , the service was knowledgable, attentive, and thoroughly professional, and the entire experience was well worth it. It also helped that we brought a great wine that would have been prohibitively expensive if it were not BYOB. If I lived near Lancaster, I wouldn't just go there for special occasions because you get really great food for perhaps just a bit more than a lesser alternative. I don't live near there, but Citronnelle makes me want to visit more often.

Absolutely delicious. Each dish had wonderful delicate flavors. We had pork belly & prawn/squash bisque soup for appetizers Dinner lamb & sirloin. Highly recommend these dishes. Each time we go, we learn of a new unusual vegetable used on plate. Great for food lovers!

I live in New York. I went to Lancaster to visit a friend and we had dinner at Citronnelle. When we got there, the restaurant was really busy but we got seated right away. The waiter was really friendly and professional. We ordered Crab cakes and crispy artichoke salad for starters which both are so delicious. Then for main course, we had the pork tenderloin and organic chicken bisteeya. They are also to die for! At last, my peanut butter cake and soufflé... Ooohhhh... we clean the plates, so they don't have to wash them again :) I will definitely go back anytime soon! The food quality is on par with New York standard with much affordable price. We love this place!

Citronnelle is the newest gem in dinning the Lancaster area. With a modern take on French cuisine chef Rafael Perez takes you on a mouthwatering adventure where he presents his love for the culinary arts with finesse and lets all the locally grown organic ingredients speak for themselves. His partner/owner Susan Louie curates a intimate and comfortable environment dinning experience. The attention to detail that she puts into this establishment is notably done with love, everything from the chairs to the terry hand towels in the restrooms. It's as if they don't want you to ever leave. For appetizers I had the pleasure of having the Crab Croquettes which have a great creamy texture without over powering the flavor of the crab itself, very satisfying choice. For my main course I had the Pork Tenderloin perfectly cooked and had a side of onion confit and lardon brussels sprouts, Sweet potato gratin, Fried sage, Apple balsamic reduction, it was a delightful combination of sweet and savory and paired perfectly with the tenderloin. As a side we also ordered the Ratatouille, it was perfectly cooked and was a nice change of pace from the apple balsamic in the main course. For dessert we had the Lemongrass coconut souffle, so soft and pillowy with a delicate egg flavor, its hard to imagine that they will not sell out of this before they close on a daily basis (also you should order this at the beginning of your meal as it takes a while in the oven). Citronnelle is a must go if you are in the area! P.S. the brunch on Sundays is AWESOME, I suggest the burger and cheese souffle.

The food is awesome. This isn't just brunch or dinner, it's a food experience. The flavor combinations and quality ingredients show. We spent about 2 and a half hours there trying various courses and chatting. A great place to go with some family and have a unique dining experience

We came to celebrate my mothers 89th birthday and we made a wonderful choice. This is a small place and the owner seated us and was very attentive. You could tell this place was their pride and joy. Both my wife and mother had Waldorf Salad while I had the pork belly for appetizers. Both were shared and loved by everyone. Once again the ladies matched by getting the lamb loin while I had the barramundi (special for the night) I loved the barramundi, cooked well and tasty. This would have been 5 stars but we were told the lamb could not be prepared med rare because it was already cooked (sous vide perhaps ?) Well the flavors were good, the lamb was a little tough and overcooked. The star of the night was the deserts. Once again the ladies stuck together with Chocolate Souffle and I can't recall what mine was called but we could just come for the deserts. We'll be back for sure. The service was spot on also.

A wonderful addition to downtown lancaster. From start to finish, our meal was fantastic and the ability to enjoy our own wine took the experience to the next level. We shared the foragers delight which was an amazing fusion of flavors with the most expertly poached egg I've ever been served. Both of our dinners (chicken two ways & pan seared salmon) came perfectly prepared with delicious accompaniments---everything was well thought out & had a delightfully surprising elements. The experience was made by the chef & his wife checking in with is at the end of our meal, answering our questions, sharing restaurant recommendations, and in general being wonderful hosts. We'll definitely be back!

Back again and felt food was good but a few slippages. It was the last week of the fall menu (January ?). Chose the Sirloin and either it was a tough steak or the knives were the worst ever. Owner felt it was the knives. Somewhat agree since meat was very tasty. Other dishes at table were spot on which is the norm. BYOB remains a big plus.

Amazing food, great atmosphere, awesome staff, one of the best places in Lancaster! Everyone that works there is so nice. Everything is very fresh. They have a Lemon Grass Coconut Sufflet for dessert that you need to order before you eat because it takes 30 minutes to make.

My child said that it was the best restaurant she ever went to,and I agree with her. One of my favorite dishes was the tropical strawberry rhubarb and the French chocolate sorbet! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

I could say this was a bit expensive ...but we got invited by friends of us. Still the food was really delicious. I had some French toast because did not feel (my stomach) well in eating the real brunch! There were also some real good bread, "pain au chocolat" and Croissant! I miss so much those one from France! The potatoes, sausage, burger and fries were all just perfect : I had a bite or 2 in my wife's! Definitely have to go back there to try the diner menu. Let you know my thoughts later then...

Went to Citronnelle once and loved it! Menu is fairly limited but food is both appealing to the eye and flavorful. Ordered the crab croquettes and they were some of the best I've ever had. Filet mignon was cooked perfectly and had a delicious sauce. Layout very close to that of himalayian grill with limited seating. Strongly recommend making a reservation when going.

We visited this restaurant for my dad's birthday. The space itself is very small and a bit tight, but it has a lot of atmosphere with large photographs on the wall. The table settings were very sleek and it wasn't loud. We ordered two appetizers to share and 4 entrees and one dessert. First, we each were served 3 popovers. These were very fair, had little flavor and were over-baked on the bottom. Some condiments would have made these a bit more tasty, but the popover itself was unimpressive. The Autumn salad was light and fresh, but nothing to rave over. The dressing was extremely light, which I typically prefer, but this was a bit too light, because you could hardly taste the cara cara flavor of the dressing. The Forager's delight was excellent!! This was definitely my favorite. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked and very flavorful, foam topped around the circle of mushrooms, and a poached egg in the middle. There were also crispy fried shallots, which were light and not oily. This dish had so many different textual components and various flavors that married well together. On to the entrees. Two of us ordered the chicken tagine, one the fish of the day, and one the local cheese pumpkin risotto. The chicken tagine (my dish) was a little disappointing, not necessarily because of the quality of the dish, but because it did not fit the description of what I think of when I order tagine. I've had many tagines at various moroccan restaurants but I've never had one like this. The tagine at Citronelle is served with israeli cous cous (the pasta-like variety), with a few artichokes hearts and a skin-on, bone-in thigh/leg of chicken. I did not detect any of the spices that typically are used in tagines; there wasn't any liquid, but the israeli cous cous was very saturated and moist, a tad buttery (not overly so though), the chicken itself wasn't very flavorful and was a tad dry. The artichokes were very flavorful though. I was further disappointed that there weren't more vegetables in the dish since the description said seasonal vegetables. The preserved lemon flavor was overpowering as well, infused mostly into the cous cous. The one thing that was creative was the cut up pieces of chicken breast hidden underneath the thigh/leg. I didn't taste the risotto, but was told the only pumpkin component was pumpkin seeds on top. The fish was well cooked and flavorful. Decontructed carrot cake for dessert was fair, a bit dry and not up to the standard it should be. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but the service was pretty slow. Overall, it was decent, and I would go back to try it again; although it is very pricy so probably not for awhile.

What a wonderful addition to the fine dining in downtown Lancaster. Better yet, they've raised the bar for the others in town. Raised it very high. I've been there for dinner and brunch, and I can't decide which I enjoyed the most. The menu is small, but more than adequate, and all the selections are temping. I had the Beluga Lentil Terrine, believe me, I didn't want to share that dish. Love lentils and this was delicious. During brunch I tried the Leek and Cheese Soufflé, well worth the wait while the chef made it fresh. Everything we've had here is fantastic. The owners are very nice, extremely friendly, and not at all pretentious like some of the local restaurant owners downtown. The wait staff was very professional and helpful, and cared for our every need. Negatives: Corkage fee - for some that's a biggie, but I'm fine with it. We had some fine wine and exceptional food. I left happy and eager to return. Parking - it's downtown Lancaster, so you deal with it. Not a problem really, we eat downtown at least once a week. Seating - yep, this place is busy already. Best to get reservations quickly.

I had brunch here today after my friend and I were in search of good food in downtown Lancaster. I wasnt sure what to make of the place as i dont do french cuisine too often. However our waiter was more than happy to guide us through the experience. The brunch selections all looked so good we couldnt decide. I went with a Organic Grass-Fed Croque Madame Burger, with bacon and egg over beef with herbed fries. OMG wonderful.. and my friend had an open faced omelette with asparagus among other veggies..it looked really good and i wished that i could have had that as well (maybe next time). the food was great looking as well as tasting. and the tea service was of good quality and selection (and i love my tea). after our main course we had to have desserts. again everything..looked so good, we would have been satisfied with it, we both decided on the Bittersweet Chocolate Torts with thai coffee ice-cream and blackberries... so...goood.... and the right size after our meal. the meal portions werent too much but not too little especially for the price - however its justified because of the quality of the food and atmosphere. its worth the splurge. the restaurant was tastefully decorated, but small.. when i got up from my chair i bumped the back of the other patron sitting behind me, i was apologetic but i felt self conscious about not being able to move without disturbing others during their dining experience. that is the only reason why i left off a star. I adore the intimate experience, but not at the expense of space issues. but such is life especially when dealing with upscale establishments. and the piece de resistance for me was using the restroom...why? because instead of paper towels or a blow dryer...there are freshly laundered hand towels for use after washing your hands... can you believe that!!! i've been to some fancy restaurants and they've never had that! i was floored. awesome! so.. if you think you cant have much else than Amish comfort food in Lancaster...you are quite in the wrong, bring your wallet and your empty stomach cause they will in for a transformative experience.

Went for sunday brunch based on my sister-in-laws recommendation. Was glad I did! The food was fantastic and the atmosphere cozy. We got to meet the owner while we were there and we were made to feel very welcomed and appreciated. I had the open faced omelet and would highly recommend it. The coffee was delicious and the desserts were fantastic. Please give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. By the way the chairs were very comfortable as well!

We had my Birthday Brunch here today and it was great. We had the Bread Basket which came with homemade orange marmalade that was to die for. I had the Wild Mushroom Omelet and my boo had the Burger and we both loved our food. They gave me a complimentary cucumber and apple sorbet for my BD with a candle in it, very sweet. Not to mention it tasted delish! We will come back again for dinner.

We ended up going here for dessert after Aussie and the Fox had an hour and a half wait time. It was a surprisingly beautiful place; it's tiny inside, but the ambience is just lovely. Since it was a spur of the moment decision, we had no reservation. We showed up, and they were kind enough to accommodate us in a timely manner (party of 5 in about 10 minutes); the only off-putting thing was that they asked us to stand behind the curtains until the table was ready. Understandably they didn't want us in the middle of the place taking up all the walking space (this place is honestly so small), but this is a flaw that needs to be fixed. This can't be the first time they've had to shove patrons behind the curtains like a bad secret. We tried almost every dessert on their menu: Signature Citronelle Soufflé, Peanut Butter Mousse Napoleon, Blood Orange Genoise, and the seasonal house-made ice cream duo. The soufflé took 20 minutes to prepare (which was considerately noted on the menu), so we had the waiter bring out the desserts as they were done. The flavors for the ice cream duo were pumpkin and ginger. The pumpkin left a strange smoky aftertaste, but I liked it (my company did not). I was not a fan of the ginger (my company was). The Peanut Butter Mousse Napoleon (salted peanut butter on shortbread crumble and apple brandy-infused raisins with red grape sorbet and chocolate paint) was good enough, though not being a peanut butter lover, I feel biased; the sorbet was divine, but the chocolate paint wouldn't budge even after we took a knife to it. The Blood Orange Genoise (toasted almond ice cream with crushed almond brittle and creme anglaise) was very good; I found the cake to be slightly too sweet, but the almond ice cream - oh my God, too lovely. Finally, the soufflé - though it was the most hyped, it just fell flat for me. The coconut and lime creme anglaise was good but nothing special. Overall, a very nice dining experience.

Absolutely wonderful....we have been there a couple of times and the food, atmosphere and staff have consistently been great. Another amazing restaurant in downtown Lancaster. I am not a big dessert person, but their Lemongrass soufflé and Banoffee ice cream was heaven. We actually brought "foodie" friends with us the last time from Denver, Co. & Dallas Tx and they both agreed that this was a 5 star restaurant.

Amazing food, interesting and friendly staff, great ambiance. Honestly I wasn't expecting a ton in Lancaster, but finding these hidden treasures is always a great surprise. I had crab croquettes, a steak with some of the best mashed potatoes I've ever had, and a deconstructed crab cake for dessert. The croquettes were creamy and crunchy, and I would have kept eating only those if I could. The steak was very well cooked, and like I said the mashed potatoes has a smoky hint to them that made them awesome. The dessert was alright, but their homemade ice cream was exceptional. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone stopping by, truly a dining experience I would expect in a metropolitan areas. Good work Citronelle!

Never thought I find great French restaurant in Lancaster, but this one is definitely a great place to try. All the dishes are very thoughtfully prepared and delicious. the small bread served were superb. we had Moroccan Spiced Free-Range Australian Lamb Loin and Trois Petits Cochons, both were great.. the lamb was very tender and flavorful.. the 3 kinds of por just had different texture and flavor and the Shaved Brussels Sprouts was wonderful (I don't usually like brussels sprouts). And you can't leave without trying their Signature Citronnelle Soufflé, my husband loved it (he usually does not even like dessert), and I had Dark Chocolate Soufflé and it was great too. cons - our dishes did take a long time to arrive, but it was worth the wait. I am glad to tried this place and will definitely be back next time.

Being greeted by owner and designer, Susan Louie, was an incredible personal touch. This restaurant's decor can hold its own with my favorite Orange County, CA, restaurants and that is saying quite a lot. Even the music was straight off one of my personal playlists. It felt like I had arrived home and if I ever own a restaurant I will be emulating that of Citronelle. The food was too-notch and thoughtfully prepared. Chef Rafael has done an amazing job with the duck breast appetizer and even made for me fresh grapefruit and mint sorbet when I was crushed at being misinformed about their sorbet flavors for the evening. Here, the customer gets what they want and that level of service is rare. At this establishment I slip the waitstaff an extra $20 on top of tip, but pass it through the owner to make sure she knows just how well her staff are performing. Bravo!

The food at Citronnelle is beyond delicious! The ingredients are fresh and seasonal, and chef Raphael prepares his dishes so carefully and perfectly. The portions are extremely generous and yet I still found myself licking my plate afterwards! The lamb I had was very tender and the burger I had for Iunch the next day was amazing. I would recommend trying a dish on the menu that's in season, as well as their homemade sorbets and ice creams for desert. The owner Susan and her staff also do a fantastic job of making sure their guests are happy. All around an incredible dining experience. I wish I lived in Lancaster so can eat here all the time!

Great service and excellent food. Great flavors and high quality dishes. We had the octopus app the 3 pork dish and the fish special, every dish was delicious. And the dark chocolate souffle was to die for. The owner is making guests welcome and spent time at every table. I would' call it French though. Flavors are more Asian and N. African influenced in my opinion. Surprising and Excellent choice in Lancaster.

What's there to say? I find it very difficult to describe a culinary experience using just a few words. I can go on and on about how perfectly textured the Berkshire pork belly is, or how deceivingly rich the chocolate sorbet is, or how there is such a creative amalgam of flavor within every dish but honestly it would not do this gem justice. The food is great, the ambiance is great, and the people are great. Just come and see for yourself.

Went here last Saturday night. The place is very small and intimate. The staff is very friendly and we were greeted warmly immediately. The arrangement of the tables could use some work since they have to do a lot of shuffling and pulling tables out and having people slide around awkwardly. I understand they are trying to make the most out of small space but it was a bit distracting. They are still getting settled so I'll give them a pass on it. As for the important stuff, the food was great. For an appitizer, we had the wild mushroom sous croute which tasted like the best fresh pizza you can imagine but in a deconstructed form. For entrees I got the pork tenderloin and my wife got the short rib. The pork was great along with the apple balsamic reduction. The star of the dish, though was actually the sweet potato gratin. This was fantastic. The brussels sprouts were also very nicely prepared and obviously super fresh. The short rib was a very nice sized cut that was perfectly cooked and prepared. There wasn't anything overly unique in the preparation but it was done well and had a great, fresh pure quality beef flavor. The couscous that came with the steak had a pretty strong lemon flavor which didn't really complement (or make sense with) the rest of the dish, but on its own was ok. My wife doesn't like lemon flavored things so I enjoyed it. For dessert I got the hazlenut tart which had an amazing coffee ice cream and fresh raspberries that all went very well together. I don't recall the exact dessert that my wife got but I remember it including a very good berry sorbet. Citronnelle has quickly moved into the top tier of my favorite dining spots in Lancaster and I will be very closely watching to see when the menu updates to go back.

Two stars because the food was good. When we were seated they did not have enough menus and asked us to wait a few minutes, no problem. About 5 minutes later they changed our seats because we had been seated at the wrong table. About 5 minutes into new table I had to get up to allow guests next to me to leave (tables were that close), still no menu. About 15 min after being at new table the waiter comes over & says "you look ready.."- didnt mention fish or specials of the day, didnt really know menu either. It's needless to continue detailing the entire awful experience, but we will not be back. The manager or whatever role she played was very offensive in offering us an extra minature cheese puff because of their "disorganization." The food was good, but overpriced. There are a number of significantly better restaurants in Lancaster, this place has nothing on them.

Nice little find! Open one week - and they seem to be hitting on all cylinders! Frisée salad was outstanding , the crepes were very nice as well - lots of interesting flavor had me guessing between cardamom and sage. It's byob, so cost effective. Lots of nice looking couples in here enjoying a special Tuesday night . Service was outstanding - Christopher graciously even charged my phone! Nicely done, add this one to your lists!

This French colonial cuisine spot misses out on some really key elements. It is *loud.* Not cozy or tight or intimate, but loud. My partner and I were shouting at each other and could barely hear the server. Who was very nice. But he didn't know much about the items on the menu. The food was super inconsistent. The crab cakes were tepid, very creamy, and not that interesting. The flank steak was wildly overpriced but tasty, despite a too thick dressing. The tagine was terrible - brittle and dry. The lemon grass souffle dessert wasn't bad, but it was hardly as exciting as you would hope. All the food felt less warm that it should be, probably owing to the kitchen being in the basement. There is far better food far better prepared to be had in Lancaster. Most of it costing much less. Avoid.

Very NY-esque, smaller and cozy feel inside. Hands down one of the best meals in Lancaster! They really focus on every individual taste that comes together for an extraordinary meal! Be sure to save room for their brilliantly crafted desserts! So thrilled to have a restaurant like Citronnelle in Lancaster-- we will be taking many trips back!!!

What a welcome addition to the Lancaster culinary landscape! The food is carefully prepared, delicious, and beautifully plated. Portion size is stop on. Much as we enjoy the main course offerings, the desserts are really worth saving space for, and brunch is absolutely delicious... I dream of their french toast with the house-made lemon curd! Best of all, the atmosphere is sophisticated without being pretentious. The space is fairly small though, so make sure you make reservations on weekends...oh, it's BYOB, so grab a bottle from home.

We really wanted to love it. Service and ambiance was great. We just were not overwhelmed with our entrees. We had to send one back because it was overdone. We had to ASK them to take it back, it wasn't offered when we suggested it was far too done and hard to cut. It took a long time to get a new one. Apologetic but that was about it--no free dessert, no modest discount. Essentially our meal was ruined as one diner ate alone followed by the other--and it was a $35 entree. We left and craved nothing but water the whole way home...a little on the salty side? We likely won't go back. The 'no bar' is also a pretty serious downside. And it's small and intimate so go prepared to sit right on top of the next table of diners.

This is a beautiful restaurant and a wonderful addition to Lancaster! We have eaten here twice--dinner and brunch and both times it was amazing. Fresh, wonderful food. It is a small restaurant and so tables are close and cozy but I feel that adds to charm of it. It's like being at a big city restaurant. Love, love, love and will, of course, be back many times!!

Desperately wanted to give this genre and location 5 stars plus... A waitress who stuck her belly on my arm as she spoke to us; A hostess who got offended when another party asked the obvious question of where to place one's coat; A chef who did an acceptable job but apparently uses "house" dressing; dressing tasted quite similar to T. Marghetti's from Stauffer's grocery and the greens were a single type of non-organic factory farmed type product, like ALL the entrees. I missed seeing anything local or organic on the menu. The prices would suggest otherwise. When we said we wouldn't be having dessert a pasted on smile quickly turned sour. Let's support some of the fine options in Lancaster, there are many.

My husband and I had the pleasure of eating at Citronnelle for brunch. The entire meal, from start to finish was absolutely amazing. I had the leek and cheese souffle. It was perfect, light and airy. The cheese was rich and delicious, without being overwhelming. And it was served with a fresh side salad. My husband had the French toast...the lemon curd will be making a daily appearance in my dreams for days to come!!! The tart and citrusy filling was the perfect accompaniment to the fluffy bread and sweet strawberries...not soggy, nor dry, it was absolutely mouthwatering. Every bite seemed better than the last. My husband and I will definitely be back again soon to try the dinner!!!

Sadly, the price was TOTALLY out of line with the experience. Four or five appetizers/entrees only, all entrees included something off-putting (granted, to me) a flagrant refusal of substitutions/subtractions costing $25-$30? Sides were $7 (seriously, Brussels sprouts are $2.50/quart). And finally a corking fee of $5 (I understand if you have a special bottle brought to a restaurant which offers bottles for sale, a corking fee is understandable) smacked of insult. Can I then charge you for the trip to the wine store, gas, wear and tear on my car, and my valuable time spent on your behalf of un-providing?? Also, I, while may be in the minority here, don't appreciate having to locate a server to rearrange tables so I may use the restroom. I don't see a future for Lancaster dining experience at Citronelle at present status quo.

The food is totally phenomenal. Everything was meticulously prepared and the combinations of flavors are to die for! No wonder, as the chef has worked with some of the best in NYC incl Morimoto. Thoughtful and knowledgable service. We had allergies on our table and they were able to cater easily for nut-free; dairy-free, vegan, vegetarian and low carb. Highly recommend ... John Jefferies is excellent ; Citronelle is out of this world. Will definitely come back and recommend to all without any hesitation.
