NEVER AGAIN. This has *nothing* to do with good NY pizza. We would recommend just about anything over this place. The food is bad; the service is even worse. After they gave away our pizza to another table, we had to wait another 30 minutes...does it really take that long to cook a thin crust pizza? When it *finally* arrived, the pizza was awful. Did they offer to comp the meal? No, they offered cheap dessert. This place is a huge disappointment. There are many other decent pizza places in Lancaster, so don't waste your time here.

My husband and I visited The Slice of Brooklyn in Lancaster PA location Hwy 30 in Lancaster, Near Applebee's . It happened to be their first day opening. The waitress was very pleasant. The owners came by to make sure everything was ok. The pizza was delicious. The crust was the best I had in a long time. They also have a variety of pizzas not to mention all the other items on the menu. The decor was very impressive.. Definitely will go back. Wish them best of luck.

Completely disappointed with this restaurant. I will give the atmosphere a 5 star rating but outside of that where do I begin. The first thing we noticed at 7pm on Friday was very little customer traffic for a new place in a prime location, once we sat down it took the waitress about 5 minutes to at least greet us and bring menu's, then another 10 before we ordered. I ordered the Manhattan cheese steak ($9) which should have been a $5 sandwich, bland and unappealing, my wife ordered a panini with italian ham and cheese's and she said it was all fat and had no signs of any dressing, which our order took 25 minutes to get (don't forget they weren't busy) I really think they should regroup and fix this place soon or it will be another casualty in Lancaster county.

Pizza is consistent and always good. Thin crust New York pizza. The wings eer great as well. One of the few places in Lancaster that has Arrancini. They don't have it all the time but when they do , it's excellent.

I have eaten here at least once a week since they opened. Their pizza is amazing New York style with big slices. Tonight was a meatball hero. All I can say is Wow! The decor is awesome. The staff and owners make you feel like you are in Brooklyn and they are so friendly. I strongly recommend you try this great restaurant if you have a chance.

My husband and I have been traveling to Lancaster for 15 years. We always try to find a great pizza place. We have finally found it! We are vegetarians and there were many things we could order (we do eat dairy). The atmosphere is fun, the place is SUPER clean, but the best part is the food. Tasted wonderful!

Got this from the owner today after a bad review Friday February 13, 2015. I had just gotten news of a family member passing an hour prior and had gotten really bad service. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/… This is the definition of false advertising jackass. You should know what it means before you open your mouth. I sell pizza. It's a pizza shop . If you wanted coffee Starbucks was up the street. You came in with a ghetto shithead attitude. Like we owed you something. We have 3 of these restaurants in the county I have years and years of customer service experience. I respect and love all of our loyal faithful customers. I do not and will not have patience for some asshole and his wife that come into my house, my place of business with no respect. If we made some type of mistake I would fix it and go above and beyond to make a customer happy. Keep in mind you come in to buy pizza or some type of food and you pay for that service. Your not paying me enough to be a dickbag or for me to kiss your Ass when we didn't do anything wrong. You came in like a jerkoff and I threw you out like the jerkoff you were being. Learn how to treat people. And keep in mind regardless of what your president leads you to believe. The world doesn't owe you shit. And neither do I. On that note. this is a formal request for you to never step foot in one of my establishments again. I will have you removed and charged with criminal tresspasing. and p.s tell your wife not to feel sorry for me like she said. I am fine we have a huge, huge, huge customer following and we don't need customers like you. And we don't welcome customers like you. There are plenty of other shops in the area that you can go to. They can have your business. Thank you for your opinion. And you now have mine . Have a blessed evening.

It's really a shame that people are allowed to use the name Brooklyn for their pizza restaurant and then not act like true Brooklynites. The service was poor. The two men that waited on us were rude. They took several phone orders in the middle of our service request .....as we stood at the counter. The woman owner was conversing with other people while she was supposed to be attending to the customers in front of her. The food was just okay. This is coming from a New Yorker.....me. Graciousness goes a long way and lancaster is sorely lacking in graciousness. This restaurant is indicative of this fact. We encountered service staff; Ricardo, who at least attempted to be polite, and Julio, who was useless, and as stated above, rude . There are many better pizza places in the area. Don't waste your money don't subject yourself to the rudeness.

This is some of the best pizza you can get in Lancaster county. This is pizza done correctly with seasoning and flavor. I love coming back here.

Great service, tasty pizza and good tunes! We stopped here for the first time between doctors' appointments with our one year old and newborn. The waitress was extremely helpful as we juggled our two babies. She opened the door when she saw us walking up, helped us with the high chairs, and was very friendly. When the pizza came she had the cooks slice a piece into smaller pieces for our toddler. The pizza was hot and delicious. We got the Bianca which had Gorgonzola cheese, spinach, tomatoes & sautéed onions. The crust was crispy and chewy- delicious. We enjoyed the Tom Petty & CCR they were playing while we ate, with the cooks singing along. When we said we needed to go in a hurry, our server was quick to help. She even brought a separate container for our toddler's cut up pizza so that she could eat it at our appointment. Overall the atmosphere was super friendly, both the waitress and the cooks. The pizza was delicious and we felt welcomed. We will definitely return!

Great authentic NY style pizza made from a friendly down to earth staff that strives to put a smile on your face whether your dining in or taking out! I have visited my cousins in Brooklyn every summer since I was 12 and since moving to Lancaster last year I have not found better quality pizza that matches that delicious Brooklyn taste. My wife and I eat from here at least once a week - Love this place!

Haven't tried their pizza but the Italian subs were horrible. Also tried a chicken cheesesteak and it had no flavor at all and was dry. The staff was a bit rude and delivery took forever. Won't be going back.

Omg the pizza is amazing. The best in Lancaster hands down. Will be my only place to get a pizza. Service is good and the decor is awesome!

I was very pleased with my experience here. The pizza crust was crispy and delicious. The ingredients were clearly fresh But the biggest reason I would return is the excellent customer service. Our waitress was very friendly as was the rest of the staff. She offered appropriate suggestions and gave us just the right amount of attention. They also filled our drinks just before we left and added a lid so we could enjoy it to go. I happened to drop mine on the way to the car and another employee offered to fill another for me. Great service and good food!

My wife and I were in Lancaster for the 150th anniversary of the Civil War battle at Gettysburg, and we decided to stop in on a whim. Background - my wife grew up on Long Island and I grew up in North Jersey. We ordered a large cheese pie, and I have to say, we were extremely surprised by the quality and taste. The cheese and sauce were balanced (and of course fresh). The dough was delicious, though slightly bland (really the only con we found). We travel together every other month and try to find a good slice in cities other than NYC. If you find yourself in Lancaster, get a fresh pie. Outside of NYC, it's one of the best that we've found.

Their pizza is good. We especially like their specialty pizzas which are excellent. Better for take out and their sandwiches are huge and delicious.

My husband and I are both foodies from NYC. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, and he is a chef. We have been to many pizzerias (only once) before finding A Slice of Brooklyn. This is the ONLY pizzeria we will go to in Lancaster now. Their square, thin crust Grandma pie with pesto is our all-time favorite. We order this over and over and over again, but we put a twist on it. We add spinach, eggplant and sausage. It's not cheap, but OMG it is to DIE for!! Give it a try. You won't be disappointed! So happy they are in Lancaster, and even happier that they offer delivery now!

By far the worst service I've ever had. I've just giving birth to my first child and being a new mother straggling with the high demands of a newborn I was unable to leave my home. I placed an order for delivery in which I live right down the street (1 traffic light away) and ask how long it will take, I was informed it will be 30 minutes. I phoned 1hr 15 minutes after placing my order was told the driver had just left as he had orders on the other side of town. As I questioned about the wait I was told off by women who answered the phone "if you lived down the street why didn't you come and pick up the order yourself". After several more nasty comments from this women I explained that I will no longer want the order she then tells me "you still have to pay for the order". I've never in all my life been treated in such a manner. I will never again order or eat here again.

My husband and I recently moved into the area. We were pleased to find this pizza shop. The night of our move we got pizza and salad delivered. We had excellent Hawaiian pizza that night. The other night we orders the most amazing white pizza. This place is great. Friendly people and quality food! I don't want pizza from anywhere else!

At first they made my pizza wrong. But they immediately corrected it and refunded me. Good customer service and the owner (I think) came over to apologize. Good guy. I like that they did the right thing. And the pizza was terrific.

I tried them again due to the proximity of my house paired with the early sunset/cold weather laziness that has inevitably set in. I must say, this time around was a much improved experience for my "pizza snobbish" persona. I must have gotten the gluten free pizza crust by accident last time around, because this was indescribably better. The cheese and sauce paired well with the slightly crispy crust. The pepperoni was flavorful, but not overwhelming. The grease, well there really wasn't much of that, which is check plus plus in my book. Such a difference this time around, that I also picked up a personal cheese last night. Solid yet again. Will be back in the future.

Food and service is excellent. The Stromboli is outstanding. Our server was very friendly and made us feel at home. Owned and operated by a solid Brooklyn New York family where they know how to create great pizza. Brooklyn's loss is Lancaster's gain.

The pizza tastes great. Everything you expect from New York style pizza EXCEPT that the crust is very tough and chewy. How they get it thin and tough at the same time I'll never know but they do.

This pizza place opened up in the beginning of November and I went this past weekend finally. Ordered a grandma's style pizza and a meat lover and enjoyed it very much. The place has a very clean atmosphere and its what you think of when you think clean New York Pizza shop, Good pizza, Guido's and Guidette's behind the counter and BYOB. The inside is reasonably big and I definitely plan on sitting down and eating the next time I go since the atmosphere was not the normal crappy pizza shop with non-Italians cooking my pizza and pasta

When I first bit into a slice it definitely took me home to Brooklyn. The pizza is excellent. I had a plain and a chicken parm hero. The sandwich was ok, could have been a little better, but it was still good (bread was a little soft for my taste). As for the atmosphere and the decor---very New York, I appreciated the details---from the signs to the pics. This place is absolutely worth a shot.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
