Spuds is the place to go for a burger that's done the right way. It may shave a few years off of your clock, but it's good good. Keep trying new things there and I haven't been disappointed yet.as a matter of fact, in eating there tonight.

I waited an hour and a half for an order of fries and a cooler drink. I was told it'd be a 40 minute wait. When my food finally came and i was eating my semi warm fries with unmelted cheese, I realized they forgot my drink. I called and said my drink wasn't delivered, now I'm waiting over another half hour for a drink from a restaurant that 's a 5 minute drive away.

Food took a little while to come out, but man oh man was it good. Their regular fries are a little pricey though

The burgers are well executed and have plenty of crazy toppings to satisfy your cravings. We have the steel city fries which were great! Steak meat, cheese, onions, and cole slaw! They also have weekly specials so come back every week!

College kids, enjoy this piece of unhealthy heaven while your metabolism is high and you could care less about your diet. God, I miss it. Buffalo Chicken Cheese fries, garlic Parmesan wings, old bay wings, etc. I could go on and on. Anything you get will be delicious, shave a few days off your life and increase your chance of heart disease but who cares when you're 18 years old.

Love the fries since they're fresh and are fantastic when loaded with toppings.

Great little find on our trip from Long Island to Gettysburg! Definitely a calorie indulgence but there were several salad options. Perfect for a family looking for a fun, unique spot. Could definitely see Spuds featured on DDD...burgers and fries were definitely t.v. ready!

Slightly over priced for the quality of food that I got. I ordered a burger that had mozzarella sticks mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce on it. The burgers themselves seemed like they were just frozen patties. Didn't seem fresh by any means but the bun was fresh and tasty. I wouldn't go back again just based off that first experience.

I actually got a salad here, as my tolerance for greasy/fried food is much lower than it used to be, sadly. I was pleasantly surprised by the chicken avocado salad. Was it the most creative salad ever? No. Was it very good, fresh, crisp, huge and reasonably priced? Absolutely. Basic mixed greens, grilled chicken breast, avocado chunks, shredded mozzarella, tomatoes, and ranch dressing. More than adequate. Fiancé, on the other hand, dove into what is clearly their specialty: sandwich and fries. At the staff's suggestion, he got the ragin' Cajun (grilled chicken) with the garlic Parmesan fries. He described the sandwich as huge and delicious. The fries I can speak for, since I snagged a few from his plate. (I am human, after all.) They were good but not incredible. They came absolutely smothered in an oily garlic sauce, and covered in melted mozzarella, so they were very greasy and not at all crispy, but the taste was very good. The staff was very friendly to us. Seems like a pretty typical college town spot- though I'd say the food quality is above average.

My friend and I ordered 2 "Spuds" which had BBQ sauce, fries, cheese, and I believe onion cream. In addition we got regular fries and I got fries that had bacon bits, cheese, and onion cream. For a total of $21 I thought the food was average. Food didn't taste hot even though we were the one there at the time. I probably could of took the time to make the exact sandwich at home. Overall, it wasn't worth the price but I can understand why all the people from Kutztown would crave it after a night of partying. Protip, go to the bathroom for the chalkboard wall

Here's the thing, the food here is alright sometimes even good but the service... Well, that's another story... I used to go here a lot on Wednesdays during the summer to meet up with my boyfriend. Every single time we got there, we had to wait. Sometimes we would be the only people there, other times there would be a few other diners. Once we waited for over an hour for a sandwich and regular fries. I asked for coupons or a discount and was denied. It was really disappointing considering the amount of money you pay for a sandwich there. Besides the awful service and lack of customer service, if you like greasy fun sandwiches this is definitely the place to go. Their buffalo and cowboy sandwiches are fantastic! I just wish I would have been offered some type of discount or coupon for waiting over an hour for something that should only take 10 minutes to make.

They've changed their menu and their food since the last time I reviewed this place. Honestly, I'm not liking the change. The burgers are smaller and the buns tasted stale. All and all I'd still a decent burger, just not as good as it use to be.

Not ideal for vegetarians, but assortment of fries isn't that bad. Wish the AC worked in July.

Great even when you're not drunk! Though it is a late night spot after the bar, the food is CONSISTENT all the time, even though its pretty much fries. Burgers are always great and great combos to choose from.

Went to KU so Spuds is right downtown. Great place for some comfort food. Burgers & fries are made-to-order and they have a ton of choices/options. Consistently satisfied and great for lunch or late night.

Good burger , great bun & toppings. Fries are not frozen and cut to order. Solid burger joint that tops the chains. Spuds is consistent and open late when school is in.

Spuds is a really interesting place! They have a full menu consisting of plenty of burgers, wings, salads, etc., but the real specialty here is the fries (hence the name). Probably about a third of the menu (maybe 15-20 items) is devoted to different varieties of fries, most of which you probably haven't experienced before and probably won't anywhere else. I reccommend the sour cream & chive fries, but there are some pretty wild ones if you're feeling adventurous. All of the fries I've tried were very good. They're usually open late until the night and they tend to attract a good deal of college kids. If you're up for a challenge, there's a HUGE burger on the menu called "The Beast", and if you eat the entire thing I believe you get your picture framed on the wall. Spuds seems to be more popular as a take-out place than a dine-in one but I've eaten in several times and it's quite cozy. There never seems to be anyone else there when I go but anyone I talk to from the area seems to know of and love it! They get points deducted from me for almost complete lack of vegetarian options (except for the fries), and the one other thing I have gotten, the house salad, always ends up being kind of soggy and gross. But I'll still come for the fries!

Spuds is a pretty unique place: pretty much every item on their menu consists of fries covered with some sort of topping. For instance, I've had cheeseburger fries, taco fries, and there's all sorts of other types as well. They're pretty good, but it's definitely something you have to be in the mood for. I've never eaten at Spuds (I always get it to go), but there seems to be a lack of seating. It also has felt pretty warm in there any time I've had to wait for food.

The food is GREAT. I'm a vegetarian and they don't have vegetarian sandwich options, so beware of that. However, I asked them to take the "wild thing" theme (two grilled cheese sandwiches with onions, tomatoes, and a burger in the middle of the two sandwiches) and had them replaces the burger with pierogies. That was different! The fries are amazing. I will be back for more. The menu was extensive! The restaurant itself is a hole in the wall, but oh well! The service, however, was poor. The cashier/guy who took our order was extremely rude, especially to me and my friend who asked what could be done for vegetarians. He was impatient, condescending, and had no shred of customer service in him. No matter, I plan to go back in the next couple weeks.

One of the coolest places I've ever been too. The majority of the menu consists of fries topped with almost anything you can imagine. They have a huge menu and it never seems to disappoint. I'm slowly working my way down the menu... I hope to eventually try everything! Inexpensive for the huge portions. But beware: if you have it delivered, sometimes the food isn't always hot. It gets really busy on weekends so I'd recommend getting takeout.
