Used to be one of my favorite places. Love sitting outside and having a brew on a nice day or evening. However, in recent years food quality, timeliness, and serving staff have been below average. Wing sauces are GREAT, quality of wings they are put on has been s**t. Hope this place comes back someday, but for now. Skip it.

One of the better restaurants in Kutztown, PA...and as they say "Best Wings in Town"...which is why I love this place. It's a quaint little bar/restaurant run by some old school Kutztown University Alumni. The wings come in Mild, Hot, Extra Hot, Honey Mustard and BBQ. I'm partial to the Hot, which have just the right amount of buttery flavor and heat. If you're a wing-lover like me, come by during one of their special wing nights and you'll be in heaven - for just a few bucks. Their french onion soup is quite good as well, FYI. Parking is in a small, but adequate lot around the back.

My wife and I just had a great meal here, Sirloin steak sandwich with Cajun fries and a burger, Washed it down with a few Miller Lites sitting outside....sweet evening. Reasonably priced. Enjoy the front porch on a nice night.

Fabulous all-you-can-eat wing night (w/a draft pitcher) on Monday nights from 5pm - 11pm. Plethora of options. Little pricy ($15 per person after tax) and they come out SLOWLY at six at a time. Basin will always hold a nostalgic place in my heart from going to wing night during college; but as they were during college, the service/kitchen is SO SLOW. I can't emphasize again how slow it is. You can literally be the only one in the place, you will wait an absurd amount of time for your order. Heavy Seas IPA, Dogfish 60 min, Harpoon IPA, and various Saucony Creek brews are available in bottles. Drafts are Miller, Coors, Bud, Guinness...

Probably great for the college kids, not for me or my wife. A damn shame since it has a cool look, could be something great,,.. No threat of that happening with the current owners.

In all honesty service sucked. However it was obvious the girl working the bar had no clue what she was doing. How could you not know what an IPA is and you work at a bar??? It took her atleast 15 minutes to get me a beer and no one was there but me and my girlfriend. The food however was really really good for bar food and priced well. In fact the food was the real highlight of the place. Truth is I'm giving the 3 stars based on the food because the service is the only thing that ruined the place for me.

Great wings!! Decent prices on beer & other drinks. Nice, quieter atmosphere, being a little further from campus ...but man, can they throw a great New Year's Eve bash!

Literally the best place to eat in Kutztown! Forget Mama's, Betty's etc (although all are not bad places), the BSH is a LOT better. Don't let the old-timey saloon vibe throw you off. The drinks are cheap and the food fairly priced/delicious. If you ever go for lunch, see if they have the Drunken Chicken sandwich on their specials board. You will literally not regret this decision. Bartenders are so sweet and friendly! Honestly don't know why this place doesn't get more business during the day for their lunch specials.

Basin's Wings are seriously the best you'll ever have! Wing night 9Monday) is a great bargain! They have really great specialty drinks too, fun and personal wait staff/bartenders!

Took me 10 minutes to find a bartender. The bar was completely empty. I had to go to the kitchen doors and poke my head in and ask if they had anyone working. He apologized and told me he would find the bartender. A couple of a minutes later I see the bartender come in through the side door on her cell phone and head to the kitchen and completely ignored me. She came out of the kitchen a minute or two later. I ordered a draft beer and gave me a beer that had a lot of foam and was warm. After waiting that long warm beer I was really disappointed. As soon as I paid for my beer she disappeared again. No wonder the place was empty. It's shame to the bar looks nice,

No one is ever here anymore. Even when college is in session the olave always seems empty. The staff is kinda impersonal and don't chat more thab they have too. Food is ok, not great.

We stopped by for an afternoon pick-me-up and to fortify ourselves with food before we hit a local winery for a tasting. The French Onion Soup was a good-sized portion but was a little on the salty side. Somehow our waitress forgot to place our order of Chicken Fingers despite the fact that we were literally 1 of 3 tables in the entire place. When the Chicken Fingers finally came out (45 min after ordering), they looked overcooked but were actually decent. Request a side of their garlicky Extra Hot sauce for your dipping pleasure.
