Although it's in a very sketchy part of town and I had been nervous about going there I was pleasantly surprised and mad I've waited so long to try it. We went with a group on Sunday morning for brunch. Although service was slow at first I believe it picked up because we had the owner of another local restaurant with us. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. The heart shaped biscuits were so cute and very tasty. Their buffet wasn't opened due to electrical issues and I would have gotten that with the $3 mimosas. I'm sad they didn't honor the $3 mimosa price due to the buffet not being opened. That being said would I go back? Absolutely. The prices were so reasonable and Johnstown needs a good breakfast that isn't a chain!

Food was very good but wait was very long! Was not crowded so I don't know if this is always the case! Nice atmosphere, good waitress

We love Franklin street! We go at least every other week for breakfast! The omelettes and biscuits and gravy are my two favorites! The omelettes are huge and the toppings are mixed in the egg mixture, which makes them really different but really good! When we go for lunch or dinner, I usually stick with a burger or the fish sandwich... Both are huge and very flavorful! They have a unique beer and drink selection... Usually they have a fruity or sweeter beer on draft that they will let you try, and they have all these crazy martinis that taste like such things as Girl Scout cookies.... So good, and I'm sure so full off calories! Our favorite place in town for a few years now!

Stopped here while in town for business. Had the Cajun shrimp wrap, which was great! Portion size was perfect. I had it paired with the crisp, sweet potato fries, and had also ordered a mushroom soup appetizer. For a bar-looking, quaint place, the service and food was outstanding. Highly recommended hidden gem of Johnstown. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

The breakfast buffet was a nice find! Plus the $3 bloody Mary or mimosa were a welcome addition!

Just the nicest people ever from the staff to the patrons. Food was awesome! Worth the trip for us from New Alexandria for sure! We will absolutely be back!

Nice place! Very warm & inviting atmosphere. We had wings, hot turkey sandwich & a hot ham & cheese. The food was served piping hot & delicious. Nice selection of wing flavors. Definitely will go back.

45 minutes to get breakfast. This was in the summer at 11 AM, with only 3 people in the whole place. I sat at the bar, so I could be seen. They said they forgot about my order. Really???

Went midweek for lunch with 2 friends. The location is right on Franklin street but since we'd never been there before we drove in circles a while till we found it. The rooms inside are on different levels with steps and ramps, not sure about handicap access. Half is a large bar, lots of TVs blaring about. They have this Rathskeller vibe going on with the decor, wood beams and floors, not sure about that. Very odd for this area. Is it trying to be a sports bar? We sat a while wondering where the waitress was and noticed a table nearby with four who were waiting even longer than we were. Finally after making eye contact with several staff people who immediately left the bar area but didn't wait on us, our server arrived with menus. It looked a step or two above bar food, wings and pizzas and deep fried anything. I had the bean burger and fries which was adequate because I was hungry. My companions did the taco salad and Reuben, no complaints. I can't say I'll go out of my way to go back, but I would not avoid it. There was a guy at the bar who looked a bit in his cups and started talking to himself which we found amusing.

Went out to dinner there on a Monday night not too long ago. I liked the decor and feel in there. Hopefully they can make it work, as it wasn't a bad crowd for a weeknight in downtown Johnstown. They had some nice beer selections down there, and that's always a plus. I had a burger and sweet potato fries. Burgers were cooked up right and the fries were very tasty. My friend had the crab cakes with a a baked potato. He enjoyed it, but said the presentation could have been better. My other friend had the fried haddock dinner and was very satisfied. They seem to have a lot of seafood, so it will probably do well on Fridays. The menu is extensive in the way of bar good, they have a wide variety of beers.

I like that there's a parking lot for this place, makes it easily accessible. The atmosphere is nice, and the drinks are really one of a kind. The samoas martini is excellent. The food is really good, however service is really slow. We arrived about 7:15, I didn't get my drink until almost 7:45, and our dinners until 8:30. It was busy, but not crowded.

Outstanding Club Sandwich, they use real sliced turkey & ham NOT LUNCHMEAT - prior visits we have enjoyed their excellent grilled buffalo chicken salad & burgers - will definitely be returning! One complaint and its not worth removing a star over - ordered a scotch & water and received mainly water, will not order a well drink again.

As far as I know, this is the only non-chain breakfast available in Johnstown, and it was excellent! The owners have renovated the interior with a lot of care, and it's very inviting (the exterior is not nearly as attractive, just because of the building -- don't let that fool you!). Service was a little slow, but I am sure this will improve with time. Really pleased to have another dining option on this side of town.
