Wanted a change from the norm, my wife and I decided to come here for a change. On Saturdays they open at 4pm. We got here right at 4... Service was great and no lines at all which was nice. I ordered a veggie wrap with bacon and it was awesome! Tasted fresh and everything! My wife got the buffalo chicken panini which she loved as well. She just wished it had some veggies in it. All in all a great place for a change. I think it's a lot better than Panera

So I've been to flood city twice and the first time I was so unsure of what to order and went simple and hated it. Today I went back for the second try. I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap with no onions or tomatoes and I was disappointed the chicken was rubbery (I don't know that it's an adequate description) the presentation was great and my vanilla lavender Italian soda was just as I expected (wonderful) The atmosphere and decor is so cute and the chairs are very comfy. I would return for coffee and drinks to catch up with friends but, unless they have something to wow me I won't be back for food.

What can you say about your favorite local cafe? The lattes are always spot-on, the coffees are well balanced and great without tons of cream and sugar, and the new teas are a welcome and rare treat here in Johnstown- and also completely delicious. Overall the food tastes great and I LOVE the pear-apple sauce. I will say that I'm not a fan of the tomato bisque, it's a little sweet for the deliciously cheesy sandwich you're sure to order along with it. The cafe features specials throughout the seasons, meaning their is always something new to try. The best thing about Flood City Cafe is the friendly, easy-going staff and the cozy but spacious environment. Dan and the gang really take the time to know their customers, share a joke, and invite you to one of the many neat events they hold like open mic and trivia nights. If you can't stop by, good news- they're now deliverying too.

I had the best turkey spinach wrap! It's a very nice atmosphere inside! Love the summer menu too!

Having spent the year traveling the country, large cities and small towns, I was rather taken back by Flood City Cafe. This is not the type of coffee/panini shop you'd expect to find in a large city - it's better. The first thing that strikes you is the ambiance. Two story tall ceiling, gentle but adequate lighting, open floor plan, not crowded allowing plenty of room to walk as well as sit. There is second level to the cafe with four leather chairs for lounging, reading, sipping on coffee, or whathaveyou. A dedicated stage for live music that fits comfortably into a recess in the room. The menu is pretty decent. Serving breakfast, sandwiches, salad, paninis, soup and other sides. Menu is akin panera bread. They also have bagals, cakes, muffins and other pastries from a local bakery. Generally, a great place for adults, young and old, to come and chill, read, have a meal or snack, listen to live music, and feel warm and relaxed. DRIVE THROUGH ALSO!

Veggie wrap and add bacon=amazing!!! They can add great flavors to iced tea, too. I had lavender flavoring to mine, and it was amazingd I would totally recommend this place. They also have a cool program where they use tip money to pay for first responders' meals.

Being raised on the west coast, I didn't understand the significance of this cafe name until I mentioned I was traveling here to some coworkers heh. Super quiet on a Thursday morning, I received personalized service and an extremely reasonably-priced breakfast. Also enjoyed the swing music playing in the background. I'll be back tomorrow for sure!

We were visiting Johnstown to attend an event and found ourselves starving by late afternoon. I hopped on Yelp and noticed that this place had 5 stars so we decided to check it out. We both found the decor attractive, there's plenty of options on where to sit to enjoy a sandwich, and the staff is very friendly. The only drawback was the lack of parking nearby. We circled the block a couple of times before my friend dropped me off so he could park farther away from the cafe. We both ordered sandwiches with sides of Mac & cheese. The Mac & Cheese reminds me of melted velvetta over macaroni noodles. While my nephews LOVE that version of Mac & Cheese, it's not high on my list. Still, the "cup" portion ($2) was more than enough to be a side dish and I'm sure many people would like the flavor. My friend ordered the Double Dagwood ($7) and loved it. It was HUGE but he was starving so that was a great match. I had the Italian panini ($5) and truly enjoyed it. We both felt that our sandwiches had ample meat & cheese so we felt the prices were more than fair. We were too full for dessert but they had many options and they looked sooo good! Oh well, perhaps next time.

I'm a coffee snob and this place doesn't disappoint. One of my favorite places for coffee/atmosphere I've been to.

The food here is amazing and the coffee is top notch. The price is par for the area. The atmosphere is one of the best around. The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home.

Its great to see some cool places pop up in downtown Johnstown, and nothing better than an actually good coffee shop with a drive through! Flood City has a great thing going, and are serving common house coffee roasted in Indiana PA. I will definitely be swinging back through their drive through again to get a good cup of coffee while in downtown Johnstown. I wish this place all the best!

I'm from NYC, but I come here when visiting my friends in Johnstown. Really great coffee and food. Especially for breakfast. I'm a big fan of their egg sandwiches. Their iced coffee is some of the best in town. Very smooth and flavorful. Doesn't need milk or sugar which is great because I drink mine black. I love their veggie wrap too. Very tasty. And their mac n cheese is awesome! Rich and creamy! And the portions are huge. The atmosphere is really the best part for me. It's very comfortable and cozy. Lots of seating. Pleasant Americana music playing. My ONLY complaint are the weekend hours. I wish they open during the morning on Saturday. I know they're next to businesses that aren't open on Saturday, but I think people would go. I also wish they were open a little later on Saturday night... Til 11 maybe. Picky, I know. But that extra few hours makes all the difference in a town with very little to do at night for those who don't go to bars.

Awesome place! Top quality traditional & creative paninis, soups & sandwiches. Wonderful breakfast & dessert selections, best quality.. Coffee said to be the best in town! Friendly staff & owners, uplifting atmosphere, beautiful renovation. Wi-fi, open Mic nights, family-friendly. We are lucky enough to live close by. What are you waiting for?

Nice place. I went midweek around lunch and the place was full and I had to scrounge a chair and a wobbly table. The unusual layout of the place with the very high ceilings and black walls was odd at first, but you get used to it quickly. Because the place was full, my meal, a big salad and a Nutella banana panini took a while but it was fresh and good tasting. The coffee was good. I had the misfortune to be seated near two young girls who poured out their life stories to everyone in earshot using the word "like" every third word until I swear I wanted to strangle them both for being the shallowest most vapid waste of air I've ever heard, but you don't get a choice as to where you sit in a public space. The other diners all appeared to be professionals who work downtown. The place has a small stage with some amps and guitars so I assume they have live talent occasionally. In all, a nice lunch spot in a town that has so few nice lunch spots that it stands out. I will return with friends.
