We held a reception following my cousin's funeral at the Boulevard. It was overall a wonderful experience, especially in the light of the circumstances. The staff was so accommodating and attentive! Every drink stayed full throughout the evening, but they weren't intrusive and were very professional. We had a mix of hors d'oeuvres, and they provided a wonderful variety. From the mini crab cakes to the amazing cole slaw and pulled pork, every choice was incredible. The cakes tasted home made, and were also delicious! I would HIGHLY recommend the Boulevard Grill for drinks to meals to banquets after this.

Sure the pretzels are stale, and the company is too but with Jim Croce on the play list and the staff and locals talking about the flood of '77, who cares? This place has atmosphere! Good craft beers on tap and interesting specials. Can't recommend the burgers though (overcooked and overpriced)- Stick with one of the specials!

Overpriced. Food is average at best. 90% of the staff are very unpleasant.

The large blue, red and yellow building draws you into the wide open lounge and bar. Decorated with mostly wood and turquoise you will find bright colors of shocking pink, greens, blues and yellow all adding their cheerful displays from the napkins to the hanging lights. The Boulevard screams nostalgia and history, knowing the booths in the lounge were once in an old Philadelphia Hotel and the doors that you enter through are from an old Woolworth's and the other set from an old Synagogue blvdgrill.com//lore The walls are adorned with framed old stock and bond certificates and a wreath made from wine corks. The bar offers draught and bottled beers from Ireland, Belgium, England, Germany, Domestic and more, most selections are available every day although they do have a rotation menu and they take their beer very seriously. How seriously you may ask, walk past the large lounge up a few steps and into the game room where you will find show cased displays of beer taps and old collectible beer cans. The game room has an old cigarette machine where you can purchase a pack for $6.25, although you can not smoke these pricey babies while shooting pool. Walking upstairs takes you to a semi enclosed atrium with garden plants and I was a bit envious that we had not chosen to dine here as it was a beautiful day and very inviting. Off from the atrium is another large dining area which hosts a coffee bar offering lattes, espresso, cappuccinos or a nice variety of a dozen or so laced coffee drinks, such as the coffee nudge which has coffee liqueur, vodka and dark Creme De Cacao. They have a nice selection of wines by the bottle although the selections by the glass could be greatly improved. They feature a Chef's tasting menu which is paired with wines from around the world. While enjoying a comedy act, "Shakespeare" or live music such as jazz in either the Grill or the Warehouse you can order anything from the full menu. Frank greeted us when we walked into the Boulevard and invited us to sit wherever we would like. A good looking pleasant young man who was the bartender and serving the guests. We chose a high backed wooden booth which was amply padded and very comfortable, however knowing we were in town my sister in law and brother in law called us and asked if they could join us, so we moved to a larger table. The menu is awesome and the food is so very good that if I lived in town I would make this one of my favorite places to go. Hubby is still talking about the huge bowl of seafood bisque that we ordered. Delicately laced with sherry and swimming in cream were tender baby sea scallops, shrimp and lump crab meat. It is good that we decided to share this amazing bisque as it was a meal in itself. Truly one of the best bowls of soup we have enjoyed in our life. They also offer an Italian Wedding soup. They have a long list of inventive appetizers plus familiars like steamers, pick and peel shrimp and various wings. Knowing we had dinner plans later in the day we decided to not overload. Their fries are fresh hand cut and you can go with either the waffle cut or the standard cut which is what I did along with my cheeseburger. Not sure if this owner is from the Philly area but all over the menu you see "proudly offers Amoroso bread and rolls". They also offer the Philly cheesesteak done several ways, but the menu also has "Pittsburgh style" sandwiches as well as Chicago, so maybe he is just nation and state friendly. I had a Black Angus half pound cheeseburger which was char grilled and just how I love them, along with the hand cut fries, the burger was huge and the portion of fries were for sharing. My sister in law had the cup of seafood bisque and since we had already ordered and they came when our meals arrived, I offered her half of my burger and fries and she accepted. Hubby had the 'Coney Island Nathan's" hot dog, which surprised me since we had been to Coney Island the weekend before and had pigged out on these. My brother in law seeing his ordered the same thing and they both got a side of the red skinned potato salad. The hot dogs on long buns were the size of two Coney Island hot dogs that you would find at the original site and dressed the same with the sauce and mustard but they use a red onion instead of the minced white. I noticed neither ate more than one bite of the potato salad and for hubby not to finish potato salad is odd indeed, so I had a bite. The salad was good but there was absolutely no seasoning other than dill, it greatly needed salt and pepper and then it would be dynamite. Now what we ordered did not pay homage to this restaurant, because they offer fabulous sounding homemade raviolis, pasta dishes, steaks, sandwiches, wraps, chicken and veal dishes as well as many vegetarian and seafood entrees and appetizers. The service was friendly, the food was fabulous, the decor and concept is amazing and I would not hesitate to return.

This place is a bar and grill but not a sports bar. They have some TV's but not that many, but I couldn't find a table with a view of more than one TV, and not even a good view . The food we had at in my group was average to sub-par, including appetizers and burgers. They had roughly a half dozen beers on tap and roughly another ten in bottles. I will not be returning to the Boulevard.

You'll get just what you ask for when you stop here. We usually sit at the bar and the last time the bartender handled a full bar and probably 3 booths professionally and calmly. She can pull a draft and mix a martini with no trouble and watches for customers that need menus. Pretty consistent food with nice specials.

Great place! The restaurant is large with so many different places to eat and/or drink. It's very clean and has a fun atmosphere, with almost a vintage feel. I had a good lunch here while visiting my sister in Johnstown. It wasn't very busy, but I'd love to come back on a weekend night!

Let me say, this place is GREAT!! We had our wedding reception here and couldn't be any happier! Don was great and couldn't ask for a better person to deal with. Very easy to work with and did everything we asked. We had a party for 60 people and everything went smoothly. The food was great, we went with the boulevard mixer. The dipping station and the shrimp cocktail. Everyone loved the food. We also went with an open bar! That was a big hit with a lot do the people there! Amy was great with all of us! There was plenty of room to dance and have fun, plenty of space for a DJ, but we decided to DJ our party ourselves! All in all, it was definitely a great experience and would recommend this place for any party occasion

This restaurant wasn't what I was hoping for. I had read that they had craft beer and was hoping to find a new one to try. They did have ONE but it wasn't that great. We ordered the BBQ Bacon Cheddar Chicken sandwich. Out of everything we ordered it was the favorite. For your side of fries you could get them seasoned. We chose Cajun. It was a nice change and they had a little kick to them. We also ordered an appetizer plate that had mozzarella triangles, fries, onion rings, 2 sliders, and 3 chicken tenders. It was a lot of food, but it was typical bar food. I wish I had ordered one of their soups or entrees instead. The locals seem to enjoy it here.

Open tables. Upstairs was even cool enough to enjoy the atmosphere. Ivan ordered wings and pizza and I went for the fried haddock. The service was slow (come to find out it was the girls first night waitressing!) The pizza had a nicely cooked chewy dough- commendable - with non greasy pepperoni and a great sauce and super cheese.

The Warehouse left me with mixed feelings. Everyone in our party found the food to be pretty good, but nothing to really jump up and down about. The one thing that stood out to me is that they offer a pretty decent amount of vegetarian dishes which is really great if that's your cup of tea. What really lowered the review to 3 stars for me were all the up charges on each menu item. For example all burgers come with Potato or Macaroni salad, and to substitute fries it's an extra $1.75 . That's a bit much being the burgers are already 9-10 bucks a piece. Another oddity is you have to pay .25 cents for each topping for your burger... that's .25 to add lettuce, .25 to add onion, .25 to add tomato etc. Really?? That's just downright absurd! If you order a dozen wings (just ok by the way) you have to pay an extra dollar for the Blue Cheese or Ranch... Anyway I think you get the point. I think I would really like this place if it wasn't for their lack of normality when it comes to prices.... Cut the up charges, and this place might be a great place to continue going back too. If not.... I'd recommend going to some of the other local places that are just as good without getting Nickled and Dimmed to death.

This place is what the Johnstown Mentality makes of the fern bar concept. Mediocre food, barkeeps that don't know how to mix even the most common drinks and bottles of beer served up without glasses. Hey, now I know - it's not a grill, it's a frat house.

Visited the Boulevard recently for my first ever Johnstown visit. Food and service were both wonderful! Parking was difficult, but looking forward to going back!

Great menu with lots of vegetarian choices and great selection. We ordered one steak dish and one vegetarian ravioli dish and both were well-cooked and served hot. Food was served in a timely manner, although we were there on Sunday at 3:30 so it was not busy at all. Prices were good for the quality of the food.

Great service (Donnie was great!!) and the food was good. Only complaint was the 10 minutes it took for them to find me a to go menu when I stopped in the first time. Donnie made up for it, and so did the mini fried tacos!!!

The wife and I eat her with some regularity (every few weeks). The wait staff is always polite and attentive. It's a high point in dining for the area (would you like pizza, pizza, subs, or... pizza?). Sometimes I'll eat vegetarian and they do have more than a few choices on those occasions. Look at the weekly specials - while I was not thrilled with one of their more "pub food" offerings, I have enjoyed others. We've taken the kids with us a few times, and this place has proved to be very kid-friendly.

We had 35 people here 3 weeks ago for a family luncheon after a funeral. Being from out of town, we did not know what to expect given the place also serves as a bar. But the food, service, and atmosphere was excellent! The manager was incredibly helpful and patient as plans were made and changed. The banquet room, plates, glasses, silverware and linens were spotless!! Cleanliness is one of the first things I check out at a restaurant. Many people said the chicken the was the best they ever tasted - perfectly spiced and juicy! We also had halushki, a homemade slovak dish, that was so delicious - one would have expected it to be served by old ladies wearing bubushkas! The salad was fresh, crisp and not just out of a bag! Yellow carrots and fresh vegitables make it way over average for a restaurant salad! The vegetable mix too was fresh, perfectly seasoned and steamed to perfection. We also had the chocolate and carrot cakes -- they too were delcious and far beyond average! Very moist and not too sweet! The price was very reasonable and the food and service honestly outstanding! We consider ourselves food snobs and frequently enjoy 5 star dining and high end restaurants. The Boulevard Grill in Johnstown PA is a contender when it comes to quality food and excellent service at a fair price! We hope we get the chance to go back and try out some of the other entree's!

Decent restaurant although the menu seemed to have a ton of fried foods. Seems like they'd be better off with a smaller menu. They were out of 2 of the beers on the menu and the staff seemed a little frantic or overworked the night we were there. Martinis were tasty and generous (they serve the remainder in flask on ice) Nice set up though with different areas like a patio.

Small, packed and loud (it's a bar w/seating) but oh boy their food is something else. Classy and I might even say upscale. They use quality ingredients and they make from scratch. You can tell the difference in the first bite. Cudos to the cooking staff. Great food. Just wish it wasn't so loud in there.
