I'm giving it five stars because 1, the price is reasonable for the quality and quantity. 3$/slice with lots of ingredients. It's fr3$h 2, needless to say the food is delicious. I'm not sure if all thin crust pizza place are like Jules, they definitely have their dough:toppings proportion right. You taste the topping just a little more than the crust so the crust actually compliments and balances out the flavor of the pizza. 3, lots of different choices of flavor and if you're a vegetarian, MUST TRY their veggie pizzas!! The wide variety of selection surprised me. 4, they have the BYOB policy. I hope you enjoy the place as much as I do!

Craving pizza and not all the calories? This is the place to go. The kale, lemon vinaigrette, red onions, apples, mandarin oranges, and mozzarella pizza is my favorite and according to the website under 200 calories.

In an area saturated with pizzerias, Jules stands out and delivers pizza that seems to offer simple but organic ingredients in a style that is tastier(and healthier) than traditional delivery options. Regardless of whether you're a health nut or a pizza aficionado(or paradoxically both), Jules may not be the best pizza in the world but is certainly worth a try. Thin crust is the right title for it...it was so thin that it seemed more like a flat bread than a New York Style Pizza Slice which was what I was expecting. Perhaps a little too thin for my taste; I still expected believe a little chew in the crust is good instead of it essentially crumbling in your mouth like a pita chip. Instead of triangular slices from a large circular pie, the pizzas at Jules are baked as curved rectangles, and then sliced into smaller rectangles before being served to you on wooden planks(also curved rectangles). Service is nice and fast, you go up to the counter and see the pizzas and signs indicating their ingredients, order up, and pay while they toast it for you. Really, the only thing that'll hold you back is being indecisive about which slice you want to try(and there are a LOT that look good). This is what we got: Kim's Pie(4/5): My favorite of the slices, also known as the M(eat) #4. I'll admit I have a weakness for bbq sauce pizzas, but they added just enough for sweetness, while also allowing you to enjoy the flavors and textures of the Roasted Chicken, portabello's, and chives. The best part of it all though, was the caramelized onions. Brooklyn Style(3/5): Made with Fresh Mozzarella, Parmesan, Garlic, Oregano, and A drizzle of tomato sauce, this slice was actually a little disappointing. The mozzarella was not as fresh as I'd like it to be, and the tomato sauce wasn't flavorful enough in my opinion to balance the overwhelming taste of the cheese and garlic. Veggie #14(3/5): This one looked fantastic, with a variety of mushrooms, arugula, mozzarella, olive oil, and tomato sauce. And while I was a fan of the mushrooms and arugula, I still felt as if the tomato sauce just wasn't flavorful enough to bind these ingredients together. Additionally would have liked larger pieces of portabello and shiitake, as they weren't as salient in the flavor profile as I expected them to be. A solid 3.5 stars, though I'll bump it up to 4 because the counter girl gave me an extra slice of the Kim's Pie since we were getting one of the smaller end pieces. They pulled out the Mexican, the Mediterranean, and the Big Apple as I was leaving, which I've heard are all delicious, and from the looks of it seem to be. Definitely on my menu when next time I'm in the area and craving incredibly crispy crust.

Their pizza is great here- The best of Abington.

I am reducing my original rating because the quality and service at this location has dropped. Pizza is often overlooked so that he edges are burned. The service has become so chaotic and disorganized that in spite of 3 people standing behind the counter and a line 7 customers deep no one is there to take orders. They are all busy doing other things and no one notices the customers standing there. Managers are unhelpful and sometimes rude. They need new management pronto.

Jules is a great find for me. They've really bought into the whole eco-consumerism thing, so a lot of their products are local, ethically farmed, etc. Also, it has great vegetarian and vegan options, as well as a gluten-free crust option. I had two slices (way more than enough!) and a drink and it ran me about six bucks, which is perfectly reasonable for any food, let alone food of this quality. Although I haven't tried *everything* on their menu, I did make a conscious effort to try a vegetarian and a non-vegetarian option. For the veg, I had artichoke, tomato, mozzarella, Gorgonzola, and basil with white sauce. It was a solid rendition, but lacked a little seasoning. For non-veg, I had sweet sausage and pepperoni with red sauce and, for some reason, the red sauce made all the difference in the world as far as flavour (and their meats were excellent). The facilities are very bright, very clean, and since they've actively wrapped themselves in the sustainable-crunchy-environmentally conscious trend, it has a very eco-chic vibe to it. Also (and I always notice these things) the music playing in the dining area (there was another, competing radio in the back) was playing indie-folk-Iron-and-Wine-suicide-soundtrack music, which I rather like, but even if you don't, it's easy to ignore. Overall, my favourite pizza joint in the Philly area I've found so far.

T searched for a new pizza place near us that we could try out. He landed on Jules and all the positive Yelp reviews so we went for it. We were NOT expecting "chick" pizza (as we termed it). (I didn't read the reviews before we went.) So maybe that soiled my expectation somewhat. We started with a Goat Fiesta salad with goat cheese, greens, walnuts and shallots. I think there was one, maybe two, dollops of goat cheese on top and a handful of walnuts. Suffice it to say, it was a bit disappointing. Everything was very fresh and gathered from local growers, which was nice, but I like my salads with more toppings. On to the pizza. We split a large vegetable #6: Artichoke hearts, chopped organic tomatoes, arugula, garlic, mozzarella, fresh cubed mozzarella, gorgonzola, oregano. The crust was so thin it was cracker-like, no chew at all. I know, I know, "hence the name." But that sort of crust isn't my cuppa. The mozzarella that was melted right on top was already hardened, like it had been cooked an hour ago and then topped with the other fresh ingredients mentioned above before being served. It wasn't awful but, like I said, just not my thing. Service was very nice and the place was clean. I would go back if someone wanted to explore but overall I'd rather tuck into a good old-fashioned tomato pie.

So good I bought a t-shirt. But when would I ever wear it? Get the Kim's pie. Balsamic reduction, chicken, and mushroom (I think). So good you'll think they used bath salts. Wife likes the edemame and sweet potato pies.

Great selection of unique, very thin crust pizzas! They have seasonal specials which never fail to please

I'm all for differentiation in products. Sure, Jules could make regular pizzas and compete with Pizza Hut, Dominoes and every Tony's/Anthony's/Vinny's/insert Italian-American sounding first name Pizza place. That's the good part. Jules offers something a little different and I commend them for offering some more unique toppings than you'll find around. The problem, as usual for most pizza places, is in the dough. I get it, flatbread is supposed to be... flat. But that doesn't mean you can't add a little salt or forget that the best part about thin crust is the texture and undercook the pie. Leave that thing in there another minute or two or crank up that oven you've got. There should be a little bit of crust that's even burnt, it shouldn't look like flattened wonder bread. To sum it up, you're 90% there Jules. Go the remaining 10% and you'll have something.

Yum! I love the veggie #1 and #2 and the seasonal special with kale.

I had the Meat #7 with fig jam, prosciutto, arugula, cheese, and a hint of rosemary. It was delicious. The crust was fantastic: perfectly crispy and flavorful. Slightly pricey but definitely worth the money. The pesto pizza is very good as well.

Pizza is extremely overrated and overpriced at $3 per slice. It seems that they make their pizza first thing in the morning and just let it sit out in the open all day. Therefore even at 1pm when I tried the slices, it didn't have the freshest taste to it. Also, I asked if they could really make the slices hot since I would eat within 10 minutes of getting the pizza. I ate the slices about 15 minutes down the road and the pizza was cold. I'm not sure what all the accolades are about with this pizza? I know Philly isn't known for having quality pizza shops, but Yelpers really let me down this time. Perhaps they should visit Brazil and Italy to see what real pizza tastes like? Overall, I won't return and in my opinion, they should charge about $1.50 instead of $3 for their skimpy mediocre pizza slices.

Ignoring the gluten-free, healthy, organic labels: this is good pizza. The Meat #3 ("Hormone-free roasted chicken, chopped organic tomatoes and onions, mozzarella, lime juice, cilantro, extra virgin olive oil") is divine. I've only been disappointed by one variety: the potato pizza, which overpoweringly earthy. Add in easy parking, free wi-fi, and plenty of table space, and you have a winning environment for a working/studying lunch.

It's okay pizza. I appreciate the use of locally sourced, organic ingredients, and the menu features thoughtful, if not inspired, combinations. However, the end product really suffers from the conveyor belt ovens they use. They're just not hot enough to produce great pizza. There's also just an overall lack of "oomph" or "gusto" or "stank", whatever you want to call it. I found the crust more like a stale cracker than what I think of as a traditional, thin, crispy-yet-chewy pizza crust. Also, my pie's temperature when delivered to the table, depending on where you touched it, ranged from tepid to almost hot and back to tepid. Just "meh", all around. I also ordered a salad, which was pre-made and just pulled from the fridge, already in the plastic to-go container, and handed to me (I was eating in). I've certainly had worse pizza (Jules is head and shoulders above the awful stuff from the big national chains), but having lived in Philadelphia for over 20 years now, there are MUCH better options in other neighborhoods which cost less and put way more personality and care into the pies. Jenkintown needs a real, wood-fired, long-rise dough, garlicky-sauce kind of place. Jules feels like mall-food. Maybe a mall for upper-middle-class people, but still a mall.

I know good pizza. When I walked in that's what I was expecting for how they were advertising. With gluten free and free range meat options, I definitely expected a little more. While the food looked sumptimous, it didn't taste the same. Perhaps mediocre at best. The thin crust was thin but not as soft as I would've liked. The ingredients also didn't seem as fresh to me. The quality just simply fell short of my expectations. I felt like low pricing was their major selling point, it was only 8 bucks for two slices and mango white tea. Still I'd prefer go to CPK pay a little more and get a better pizza.

What can I say when visiting in Philly there is a good pizza place that makes and gets there produce fresh from local farmers and it was the best pizza I ever had. Veggies, meat you name it they can make it. They serve it on the board sliced up. Also your plate is a small pizza board with parchment paper that makes it fun! =) This is an excellent family, and dating place to be for cheap and good food if you are a health nut and also want local restaurants that use fresh ingredients straight from the farmers.

THEY HAVE VEGAN CHEESE!!! Yes that's right you can get a Vegan Pizza with cheese on it! Not just any old soy cheese either! Delicious Vegan Daiya Cheese! Yum so creamy and so good! I highly recommend the Veggie #2 which is Fresh chopped organic tomatoes, basil, arugula, garlic, cubes of fresh mozzarella, organic tomato sauce, mozzarella. Just make sure to ask them to substitute Daiya for the Mozzarella (both forms). I have also created my own and had Veggie # 14. I personally prefer the organic whole grain white to the wheat crust but they are both delicious. Oh and another plus is that they have gluten free pizza! I am so impressed with the fact that they have these options! Finally a place that considers all types of consumers! Thank you Jules! My only downside is the cost, but the fact that I don't have to run to Philly for a vegan cheese pizza is priceless. Also, the ingredients are all fresh and locally sourced whenever possible so you are getting what you pay for. Oh and you MUST eat this pizza in house. Thin crust does not like to travel very well, but for me I can still eat it left over!

Friendly staff and any pizza I've tried there has been tasty! A little pricey... but I guess that's one of the consequences of going to a hip, organic, local product using pizza place.

Pizza that is weird just for the sake of being weird? Maybe, but I like it. The pizza at Jules bears only passing resemblance to most American pizza. The crust is very thin and it's shaped sort of like an elongated bathtub. Among the goofy topping combinations I've tried are 1) fig jam, prosciutto, Gorgonzola, and rosemary and 2) goat cheese, edamame, caramelized onions and mint. Both were actually pretty tasty. I've eaten in and taken out from Jules and both were enjoyable. The dinning room is very clean and modern. You can order a fresh pie or slices of the already made pizzas. For take out, they have an slick on-line system that allows you to specify a time you want your food ready. This is useful if, say, you want it to be ready right after you leave the gym to take home to the family.

Amazing pizza. I love the fact that it is thin crust and high quality toppings. Their ingredients are organic. Prices are a little high, but you pay for quality. Order online and pick it up on the way home. They also offer gluten free and dairy free (no cheese) pizzas, which is great for some friends that have gluten issues. They don't carry these pizzas on the board ready to go, but can make them if you call / internet order ahead. My wife mentioned that she is happy they sometimes have cheese-free pizza most days. It's restaurant is new and clean and the staff is very friendly. A gem tucked away off Old York Road. (If you go, please recycle your bottles inside).

Mmm mmm good! Delicious thin crust pizza made with fresh, delicious, organic ingredients! The slices are square but pretty much the same size as a normal slice. I usually get the Greek Veggie pizza with the whole wheat crust (a few of their pies are available in whole wheat) with a bountiful helping of feta onion tomato olive etc on it. There is also usually a gluten free or vegan (or both!) option, as well. Though a little pricier than a slice at a regular pizza joint (one veggie slice ran me shy of $3), the quality is top notch and totally worth it. The whole place is very clean and there is free ice water located in a few places around the seating area so you dont have to ask for water and get warm tap. A great place to satisfy your pizza craving without having to eat something greasy and bad for you.

Really top-notch business. The decor is spot on. The flavors are spot on. The prices of spot on. The employees are friendly. I went in for the first time and was extremely impressed. The place had a hip clean vibe to it. The pizzas all look beautiful and fresh. I was worried about paying 2.95 per slice, but two slices is easily enough for one person for lunch. Even down to the thought to serve on wooden boards makes the whole place feel extremely authentic. Its not so easy to see from the street, but well worth finding this gem.

I love Jules. Their pizza is really more like flatbread, so don't go in expecting Tacconelli's. But they use fresh, local ingredients where possible, and it shows. I love so many of their pies: Kim's pie, the roasted potato, the one with bacon and scallions, the one with pulled pork...I could go on and on. Over the summer they did one with squash blossoms and ricotta that was divine. The pizza is served up by the slice and reheated on a conveyor belt, but you can also call in take-out orders for any pie you want off their menu. Plus, they offer gluten-free crusts (you have to call ahead), which is a godsend for people with celiac. My whole family loves this place.

The thin crust pizza is really good and there a lot of awesome combinations to choose from. The only downside is that take doesn't really work well. We prefer to eat there.

I have really enjoyed each time I've come to Jules Thin Crust. The food is incredible and the service good. I have yet to be disappointed. But what drove me to write a review was the way they handled their mistake in my order a few nights ago. I ordered over the phone, without a menu in front of me. The gentleman was so kind and helpful to me, helping me with my previous orders and to match up what I wanted. When the call was complete, I had ordered a medium combo pie with vegan cheese the entire way. Upon picking it up, we realized it wasn't vegan cheese on the second half. While they remade my dinner, I went to pay. Instead of having me pay for the whole pie, they only charged me for what they had done right, then they also gave me a voucher for another night, frequent diner voucher. I didn't even have to ask for them to "make it right", they just did it without hesitation. If you are looking for great thin crust pizza, with either gluten free or vegan/vegetarian options (or plain ol' regular cheese and wheat), this is the place to go! 5 stars from me!!!

  • Alex Z.

Update: I've lowered my rating to four stars because the past 4 or 5 times I've dropped by here they've been out or almost out of whole wheat pizza, and the whole wheat pizza is like, the #1 thing I like about this place. Often they've said it's too late for them to make a new one (unless I order a custom one wholly for myself) because it won't sell. Well screw that, I just won't come here as often because seriously, it's the whole wheat pizza that brings me in the door. Here's my old review: Wow. This is gourmet, top-notch Pizza. I ordered slices of three different pizzas, and they were all outstanding. The whole wheat pizza is great. This place could hold its own anywhere, including in New Haven, CT, the thin-crust pizza capital of the world, although the style here is more of its own thing than the old-school thin-crust (believe it or not, the pizza here is EVEN THINNER--yes, it's possible!). And in terms of sustainability, this place is really leading the way--organics, local foods, etc. There is one huge fail point on the issue of sustainability, which I discuss below. But overall, this place is doing most things right. Atmosphere is very cheerful and bright. Employees are very friendly. Interior is simple but slightly classy. Not as expensive as you'd expect, given how high-end a place this place is. This place almost got four stars instead of five because of one point...but the food and pricing is so outstanding that it got over it. What's my one complaint? This place touts sustainability at every opportunity (including in the restroom, yes, you can read about where the food comes from while you pee), yet it's located in a car-oriented suburban shopping plaza. Yes, it's near the SEPTA station, but it's surrounded by a sea of parking lots. Why do developers keep building these butt-ugly expanses of parking lots? Because places like Jules Thin Crust move into them, instead of picking a location in the Walkable business district of Jenkintown, which is now full of vacant store fronts. Jules is so good that I'd go to it no matter where it was. It could be totally in the hood in north Philly, and I'd still be going there all the time. This is the sort of "anchor" store that I think attracts people into an area...at least, if anyone else out there is like me. It's just that good. So yeah...I'd rather they somehow use their powers to promote more sustainable, pedestrian-oriented development.

We decided to grab 2 pizzas from Jules on Friday night to try something new. I'm sorry but I don't see where all the great reviews are coming from. The pizza was cooked on the edges but not well through the middle. The veggie pizza we got was loaded with toppings but the sausage & pepperoni was very lightly topped. The pizza tasted fine, but wasn't anything special. The pizza was cold by the time we got it home (not sure if I got it cold or if it cooled on my 10min drive home) and to annoy me more the stupid oblong shape meant that the boxes wouldn't fit into the oven (or fridge for after, and my fridge has a pizza drawer). Finally $18 dollars for this pizza is ridiculous. I'll happily pay that at Tacconelli's, but I'll never go to Jules again for their overpriced mediocre pizza. The pizza alone is a "whatever" 3 stars (if you're a glu-tard it's one of your few options so go for it) being over charged for that pizza makes the final rating from me a putrid 1 star.

I have a gluten and soy allergy and was visiting the east coast lookin' for some bangin' pizza that I could actually eat. It was quite a task, I must say. I stumbled upon a place in NY that I was pretty excited about. That was before I went to Philly and experienced Jules Thin Crust AMAZING/OUT OF THIS WORLD pizza! The gluten-free crust was so very tasty, it didn't taste like an alternative to anything, which is hard to come across. Because we were getting the GF option, we couldn't order individual pieces that were out, we had to order whole pizzas, or pies as you call them. That totally turned out to our advantage because I would SO have not been satisfied with one or two slices only. There was three of us so we ordered two pies-we were hungry and they looked GOOD! We got the butternut squash/ricotta cheese/caramelized onion one and the BBQ chicken/vinaigrette one. I fell in love with each of them instantly. They came out in their unique shape on a paper that was stamped gluten-free. That felt nice to know that they go out of their way to dedicate a certain area and certain utensils/paper that is just strictly GF. I can't even describe the deliciousness of those two pizza/pies. They were hands down the best pizzas I have ever eaten. My 2 friends aren't gluten free but still thoroughly enjoyed both pizzas as well. They couldn't even tell they were GF! Jules even had super tasty gluten-free, soy-free desserts too! I was clearly in heaven! I only wish they had a chains out on the west coast. Great job Jules!!

  • Jacki G.

Jules is delicious!!! They have some amazingly creative pizza creations, and it's extra yummy because the thin crust allows you to really taste the flavors of the pizzas. They use organic and local veggies, hormone free meats and they combine flavors really well. The winners are (I can't remember the names) the greek pizza, the chicken with cilantro pizza, and the potato topped pizza. Be sure to check in on foursquare for a free slice with check in.

Hands down the best pizza that I have ever had in my life. Two slices will fill you right up. The summer squash special pizza is to die for... So is the organic edamame one. Very much looking forward to coming here again! :)

  • Stosha S.

It is the most expensive pizzeria pizza I have ever had, but it is well worth it considering you are paying for quality ingredients. The variety is phenomenal and they always get the divine cheese/sauce/dough ratio right. Never too much of one thing, so it is exactly as pizza should be. I love the veggie options, and they have at least 4 to choose from at anytime. They also have some of the most delicious cuts of meat on their pizza, none of that overly greasy unidentifiable rubber stuff that flavors the whole pie, but thin cuts that burst with flavor and complement the pizza. The giant box the large pizzas come in is always a riot too, trying to ride with it in the car can be a challenge if you don't have a back seat! If you are eating in they have a clean comfortable and abundant seating area. The only downside for some is the lack of (unhealthy) drinks.

I really love crazy pizza toppings and Jules really delivers. Last night for my B-day I tried the edamame, goat cheese and lemon dressing pizza and the artichoke heart pizza, both were awesome and interesting. The dining area is clean and modern and suprizingly not echoey considering the materials used. Lots of babies and kiddos yet nice and quiet. I also appreciated how there was a busy worker that came by to clean off the table and windows, nice! Also, at around 3 bucks a slice you can have a great 2 slice dinner for $6! Also keep in mind you can BYOB.

This place is great! I think it would be a hit in the SF Bay Area. The ingredients are very fresh and support local farms. There was an incredibly distinct flavor from one variety to the next. Two slices was more than enough to fill up for lunch. Very reasonable prices! Go!!!

I've been a fan of Jules in Doylestown for years. The new location in Abington is spacious and well-designed. Every time I've been there the service has been prompt and friendly. Their pizzas are original and delicious. My wife is obsessed with the Greek Salad pizza - I've never seen its equal. We love Jules for a quick bite or for take out. And despite being quasi-gourmet, the entire transaction usually comes in under $20

The least pizza-y pizza. The veggie pizzas seems more like a salad than a pizza, piled high with greens. Less guilt!

  • Chris S.

I'm not a vegan and I am a fan of gluten. I don't really care that the food comes from local farmers and the tomatoes are organic; however, this pizza's damn good, real tasty. It's definitely the best thin crust pizza around; I got no doubts about that. The only problem I had is the pizza's a little overpriced and not as filling as other pizza. It's definitely a good place to take one of them fake hippy chicks to though, they will enjoy.

Really great pizza. Love Kim's chicken pie. Manager who is there - young guy - is really nice and efficient. Service is always best when he is there. Because pizza is thin, doesn't hold the heat long - but worth putting in oven for few minutes if do take out. Like the whole wheat crust.

Best pizza in the area if you want an actual quality thin crust pizza not the typical crappy greasy ny style slices. Love the Brooklyn and veggie #6. Can't go wrong with this location my fellow foodies

Jules is tucked away behind the Chili's and Barnes & Noble so you have to drive around the back (Noble Train Station). The crust is thin (super thin and crunchy but not burnt). The toppings and sauce are fresh and organic. They have great, rare, original combinations. It all taste awesome. They also have plain cheese or the Brooklyn thats a slight variation of plain, but so good. They also offer Gluten Free pizza if you pre-order it and offer gluten free goodies too. The service is fast, polite and friendly every time. They sell slices so you can try their different creations. I highly recommend it!

I have Celiac and not being able to have pizza was the thing I missed most about having this disease. Now that I've found Jules, things are different. This is by far the best GF pizza I have ever had!! I just wish there was a Jules closer to my house. I drive about an hour to have this pizza. Please open a store up in Center City Philadelphia!!!!

Love, love this place. There is also locations in Wayne and Doylestown. The crust is amazing (think and crispy ) and you have the choice of gluten free, wheat and the typical white dough. The toppings are to die for. I usually get the wheat pizza offering that day...I have never been disappointed.

I was not so sure at first due to the thin crust; however, for under $10 I grabbed myself a great meal. The staff were very helpful when I introduced myself as a newbie. This place was recommended to me and a sure pass along to others!

Love this place. A must try. Would have expected this quality of food to be much more expensive. Try the SEASONAL ONLY -- Butternut squash, apples, mascarpone cheese, caramelized onions, ricotta, mozzarella. Yum!

pizza is good here and they have some interesting topping combinations. I didn't like the whole wheat crust at all but the regular is good. You need to be a fan of very thin crust pizza to enjoy the pizza here. Overall it is pretty good.

I ate at Jules Thin Crust for the first time about a week ago and it was GREAT! The pizza is made from all natural ingredients and the staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. It's a great little place tucked in behind the Noble Square Barnes and Noble.

Yummy! Love the Veggie pizza!! The staff is always friendly and very helpful, I've been here about four times and have yet to encounter anything less. They also provide calorie counts on-line if you so desire that info. Reasonably healthy pizza that tastes great and my 8 year old daughter loves = 10 stars!!! We will be back many more times!

We started going to Jules Thin Crust this summer when I realized where it was! I had heard of it but never realized it was hidden in the small shopping center that was behind the Jenkintown Barnes & Noble. This was a great place to visit all summer with friends and kids. The pizza is unique in that it is super thin, almost cracker thing, with an amazing variety of toppings. The moms were able to order a variety of veggie and healthy options while the kids could get a plain or pepperoni piece. The pizza is made in a rectangle, so individual slices are sliced off in a rectangle shape. Very unique for this area! Never had a salad, but there were some good choices on the menu. My only complaint would be the beverage menu. They only serve bottled drinks and juice boxes. I'd love an option for fresh brewed unsweetened iced tea. They do have a complimentary cooler of fresh cold water on hand. The staff was always kind and even went above and beyond to help out with little kids by delivering items to our table and cutting the kids pizzas into little bite sized squares. It is a bit higher priced than a traditional pizza shop, but at Jules you can order fresh, organic ingredients and feel like the pizza is healthy, not greasy. They also have gluten-free options, which is wonderful!

really impressed with this place. i've been driving past for a few months and read a bunch of great reviews and decided to try it out. my husband is vegetarian and we can both find something delicious to eat here. kid friendly, affordable and delicious everytime!

So, I am a Jules addict, I can admit that, bear this in mind when reading the rest of this review. IT'S THE BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD. The veggie #1, overflowing with fresh crisp lettuce, spicy red onion, chopped red tomatoes, salty kalamata olives and creamy crumbled feta, atop a heavenly simple sauce and a crisp crust. AH heaven. I eat 4 slices for dinner and save the last 2 of the half for breakfast. The veggie #12 is also a total winner, goat and ricotta cheeses, edemame, chopped mint, caramalized onions and a drizzle of lemony vinnagerette are an amazing combo. Throw in there that alot of the ingredients are organic and/or locally grown, a recipe for sucess. This is obvious at the rate this chain is growing. Wonderful, delish and I love the gimmick of the loooong pizza in the looong box. They aren't kidding on the box when they say "Caution, habit forming" You got me Jules, you got me.

I ended up here since my date loved this place and it's easy to see why! The pizza is really more of a think crust/flat bread style with organic ingredients. They have both veggie and meat styles and even a gluten free option! After careful thought, I ended up with a Brooklyn style plain and big apple (bacon, apple slices, and more). Both were amazing in their own way. The big apple was awesome since it combined the meat flavor of bacon with the sweetness of the apple; it's definitely a must try. I also like that they have free water on hand for patrons to drink in the dining area if you're not feeling a soda option. They also sell salads and the occasional soup. Prices are also pretty on point in my opinion; you definitely get what you pay for!

Delish, pretty simple. Their choices are not, so I'll be back aplenty. Ingredients taste fresh, with unique yet not crazy combos. I loved my "slice" of ricotta, edamame, basil and onion. And still working on the pie of artichoke heart, mozzarella, Gorgonzola, tomato, and arugula. Looking forward to lunch tomorrow! Gluten free options for the pizza crust, too!

This was my first taste of Jules pizza.. I was intrigued by the menu and ordered #5 vegan pizza. Although I'm not a vegan, I am dairy free and enjoyed delicious tomato pizzas at various restaurants throughout the Phila. Area.. Unfortunately Jules was not very good. The garlic was weak, sauce needed flavor.. The spinach was half cooked/half raw. A pizza restaurant should be able to make a delectable crust and sauce, not rely solely on cheese to make it taste "good". I think they have a lot of room for improvement. I definitely would not recommend their pizza unless you rely on cheese for flavor.

Long-time Jules goer! Obsessed with the pizza, especially the new butternut squash pie! Started at Doylestown, now usually go the Jenkintown location because it's closer.... Came in yesterday to find a manager who I haven't seen before, they helped me out. Not a great experience.... I saw him being really frustrated with me and unwilling to answer my questions about the new pies... Then as I was walking away, I watched him go to the others behind the counter and comment about me being difficult. Real mature for an adult, and professional. Definitely am fed up with going to Jules, will be sure to tell those I know to avoid Jules (or the one in jenkintown at least) I miss the quality staff that used to work for the company, now it seems as if anyone can get the job... Very disappointed

Not sure what took me so long to try this place out but this is place great for those looking for a healthy pizza alternatives! Gluten free, thin crust, and vegan options. Cha-Ching! On top of this they have meat options as well so no one feels left out. Very casual place to have a meal. They got selections to choose from at the register and you can even customize your own pizza to your liking. It was about 16.50 for a med gluten free pie. Employees very knowledgeable and kind as well.

The place is hidden behind CVS which was the old Barnes & Noble. A good place to eat for people who are looking for healthy pizza. They have plenty of meat & vegetable options. It is a nice looking place. The prices are high, but are expected for organic food. If price is your major concern then there plenty of other places you can go to.

This place has my favorite pizza. So good and so healthy. Nothing even compares. You gotta try it. They usually have 15+ flavors of pizza ready for you to choose from As well. This is a favorite of mine. I wish they would have one in the Allentown area. I would be a regular

Interesting concept. I'll leave out my blurb about NYC pizza and just say that it wasn't bad, it's worth trying out. I didn't like some of the flavors and as someone who is allergic to mushrooms, there's a concern of cross contamination (The tools they use to cut were not cleaned in between my pizza order and it doesn't look like they clean them either). My comment with the flavors was that I could taste a bit of sweetness with the pepperoni and then the pepperoni didn't taste like much of anything. I don't know if I'd suggest this again while I'm in the area, it's one of those places I'd choke down with my vegan best friend. Points for being organic and even offering vegan pizza though. If you read my reviews at all, I definitely keep an eye out for vegan places even though I'm a carnivore.

I love Jules, they're perfect for a guilt free meal when you have pizza cravings. It is not normal greasy pizza, it is thin crust flatbreads with healthy light toppings. My favorite pizza here is the big apple. It has apples, carmelized onions, bacon, and gorgonzola cheese. It seems like a weird combination for pizza, but it's tangy and sweet and unlike any pizza flavor I have had before. It makes me so happy and I literally cannot stop talking about how awesome this flatbread tastes. Definitely recommend!

  • Clare D.

My kids love this place because they can get a big slice of very plain, simple thin-crust pizza that's cut into easy-to-hold pieces. The staff is very friendly here. I have never seen a frowning face. I've tried many different slices here and they ranged from okay to very good. I kind of wish they added a little something more to their pizzas, like more seasoning, because every slice was a bit bland. The ingredients are top notch. It's just, I dunno, unsalted, very little peppered, no garlic... something. I guess some people like their pizza bland. Where this place excels is the sheer variety of slices available. Some pizza shops require you to buy a full pie in order to try the more interesting pizzas, but here there are so many different slices to choose from, you will walk in amazed at the selection. There are plenty of vegetarian options for all you veggie lovers.

Since I've moved to the Philly area within the last past couple of years from NJ, I was unsuccessful in finding good pizza. I am somewhat of a pizza snob, I hate your typical chain pizza stores(Pizza Hut, Domino's, Papa John's, etc.) I love gourmet pizza, in that it's fresh, relatively more healthy, and the overall taste is MUCH better. I stumbled upon this place during a visit to CVS and glad I found it. Great pizza and love that they offer healthy choices!

I don't come here often since I enjoy thicker crust pizza. However the times I have come here to eat, their pizza is Always fresh & always delicious! Its also nice that they offer ice cold water free of charge to their customers.

YUM! YUM!! YUM!!! Love the variety of pizza flavors. My husband and I came with the kids and all had something we enjoyed (that's a first!) My husband is a pizza critic, so I was surprised when he ate every single bite! Although pricey, it's worth it! Doesn't fill you to the point where you feel sick to your stomach, which is a plus! Will definitely come back!!

I frequent and they have delicious pizza, clean tables, a nice bathroom, cute staff & free ice water. Fairly priced and always a good place to catch a healthy meal! Gets a little overwhelming in there when it's busy. Electronic touchscreen ordering would be a great idea going forward. Keep up the good work!

Quite unusual pizza ingredient combinations that overall work quite well together. Kim's #4 is my go-to selection. I do wish they delivered and had a few other entree options. Definately need to check it out.

Yeah, I tried it and it wasn't for me. I was expecting something more along the lines of Mellow Mushroom and their gluten free pizzas. I get the concept is flatbread but there was a lack of seasoning in there that just through the entire pizza off. They do have great toppings but the dough itself was flat, tasteless, and too "wet" for me. Hey, plenty of other yelpers love this place so don't just take my word: go out and try it for yourself.

  • Chris U.

I've been here several times, have yet to be disappointed, and I don't ever expect it: wonderful hands-on staff, great selections, family-friendly atmosphere. Service was pretty quick, and the pizzas (ok, thin crust pies, whatever) are scrumptous. Since I lean toward the carniverous side, my choices center on bacon or sausage. Throw in seasonal veggies, and boom, perfect pizza. Mmm bacon.

Yes there is such a thing as white whole wheat flour and it is the foundation for a great thin crust pizza. Love the fact that organic flour is used; that being said I prefer the original(white w.w.) to the darker w.w. crust. I have to admit the first time I tried this place I was very underwhelmed. However the second time I found the pizza fantastic! Arriving just as place was opening I had Kim's Pie(Meat 4) w/ Hormone free chicken, portobellos, carmelized onions, mozzarella. balsamic bbq sauce, chives. and a Veg 14; w/ 2 kind of mushrooms, organic tomato sauce, arugula, mozzarella. Took it home and ate it at room temp. Simply divine! The toppings are sensational; fresh, tasty and abundant. I was surprised how well the thin crust held up.This is some amazing pizza! Quality ingredients, organic ones too! This is a really healthy option for a great fast food meal. Thin crust(low carb), also have gluten free and vegan cheese. Twice as many vegetarian toppings choices as meat ones.

I love Jules! I have been waiting to yelp about them until I could describe my favorite pizza of theirs & give recommendations. After trying many many tasty unique combination pizzas, It's impossible to decide!! I say - go in & try what looks inviting & I can almost guarantee you'll be pleased!:) I didn't refer to their pizza as "pies" , which being a Philly girl I usually would. Their pizza is different. It's very thin, long rectangular & light. It is made with organic & local grown produce & is more of a gourmet treat than your average pizza pie. Although I love everything I've had here & they keep their restaurant very clean, why the 4 Stars? I left off the 5th mainly because there is sometimes a very long wait if you order a whole pizza, even when the restaurant isn't very crowded. Also I wish they had a better drink selection. I appreciate that they don't carry soda as Jules is aimed at a healthier crowd, however there are more yummy good for u drinks than the selection they carry. I usually opt for the complimentary ice water. *OH But don't forget- You can BYOB :)

I am a HUGE fan of this pizza. When I first walked in to the restaurant, I was pleasantly suprised. It was CLEAN. Everyone was VERY friendly and it smelled wonderful. My dining companion and I each order two slices, which, after she cut them, the server decided they were too small and gave us each one more free of charge. She also recommened lime sid to go with the choice of pizza! I had a chicken balsamic slice. Close your eyes and taste the sweet and trat taste of balsamic reduction over top of a light tomato sauce. HEAVEN! It was just the perfect crust, nice and thin and crispy, and the toppings were plentiful. If i have a complaint at all, it would be the price: It's expensive. but, it is all organic ingredients and locally farmed. GO. THERE. TODAY!

AWESOME pizza, with gluten free options - they even have daiya cheese! you can eat several slices without that sickening "itis" following soon after. one star off for the chlorine bleach spray they use WAY too early on a Saturday night. not appetizing! love the place, so hope management will heed advice if they're reading!

We drove by and my husband's eyes were riveted to the sign, "thin crust" mmm! Could not spot the place though. Drove by again and still couldn't see it. So I checked Yelp and learned it was behind the B & N. Also snapped a picture for my friend Jules. They make their pizzas in a unique long shape which is easy to slice and display. They have a vegan pizza with Daiya cheese!!! Clean, spare, modern decor in the vibe of Chipotle. There are five of these, four of which are in PA (Wayne, Doylestown, Newtown besides this one), one in CA. Eight meat pies, fifteen veggie, and four cheese. Swap out any cheese for Daiya -- they are happy to do it, thank you! Three thin crusts, all organic, include a white, wheat, and gluten free. They also have cool toppings like chick peas, butternut squash, all sorts of greens, artichokes, kalamata olives, pear slices, black beans, and about 30 other things. Large is $18.50; medium is $15.50, a dollar extra for glutenfree. Salads are $5-6. Local organic sources; I have to ask more about this. Kid-friendly too, great to see kids not eating total junk, and very sweet enthusiastic staff. Order by the slice or the pie. BYOB, and there is a wine store right over by Trader Joe's. Wish we had one in our town.

I agree with the crowd on this one. Jules is a staple for us. We can trust the quality and sustainability of the food, there are a lot of locally sourced options, and it's consistently delicious. I like the greek salad-style pizza and the edamame/ricotta/honey slices as well. The meat slices are decent but I think the veggies are the stars here. Highly recommended.

I really do like Jules' pizza, and the atmosphere is perfect for an almost-upscale, eco-conscious pizza joint. But every time I'm there, something crazy happens. This place could go to 5-stars really quickly with a little professionalism training for their staff. (Sadly, not just the young ones.) My favorite Jules memory is when the elderly woman in front of me leaned on her cane and asked the man behind the counter if he could walk her pizza out to her. He told her no, he couldn't. He had to stay behind the counter. So, she was faced with balancing her tray in one hand. When I offered to carry her order, the staffer realized how ridiculous he was being and did carry out her slices. My favorite: the veggie with the edamame and ricotta. They always have a lot of great looking veggie choices, but I've never seen a vegan (even cheese-less) option. You probably have to order those whole and not just take a slice.

  • Jena H.

I'm not a total health freak or pro organic, but I enjoy their pizza because it's so fresh and there's no heavy feeling afterward. It's a little pricey, but I understand that goes with the whole organic theme. It's refreshing to know that they are aware of where their ingredients come from as well. Great service and always clean!

I originally thought that their stuff will be bland but guess i was wrong i ove how everything i ordered was seasoned perfectly and the dough is as crispy as ever :) ! I have been looking for a good place that makes good thin crust pizza and I finally found my go to place!!! :)

Pizza is great and the place has a really nice vibe, but the last time I was there, I was grossed out by the server who was touching her nose and her mouth and constantly running her fingers through her long hair over top of where the pizza was sitting. It was disgusting. I called her aside to speak to her about it and she got defensive...like I should appreciate that she had long beautiful hair and so what if some of it falls into the pizza...just pick it out. She informed me quite enthusiastically that they were not required to wear hairnets or have their hair pulled back. I could not even eat the pizza I bought....threw it away.

In case anyone had any reason to doubt the frequent buyer program - doubt no more, Thomas! Last night, I ordered two whole pies (or slabs maybe, sine they're rectangular?) and was promptly told that our household had spent $100 on pizza and we'd be receiving our $10 credit. It was a nice way to end the week. Please note, though, that the frequent buyer program only applies to the purchase of whole pies. They track your purchase history via your phone number. I still really enjoy Jules Pizza. I am never disappointed by the quality of the ingredients, the friendly service, the taste, or the clean and bright dining area. I find that dining in works for any number of situations: a casual date, lunch meeting, catching-up with friends, a post-play group snack for moms and kids, etc. The fact that you can bring your own juice boxes or beer means that just about everyone should be happy, even your kid with 12 food allergies. They even feature cute coloring pages and crayons at the register that kind of made me want to break out my 96 box of Crayola's. It may be thin crust, but Jules Pizza is satisfying and certainly provides and easy way to get in some of those 5 veggies you need every day. Their honest business practices and openness about the source of their ingredients continues to keep me coming back.

If pizza places are people, Jules Thin Crust is that really cute hippie girl that you wanted to impress by signing up for Amnesty International with her back in high school. There is so much to love about this restaurant - They use locally grown, organic ingredients. The ambiance is really open and fun. It is a BYO. The pizza rules. There is nothing to hate. Seriously. It is such a happy place. The butternut squash with apple pizza is fantastic and the Kim's pie(Hormone-free roasted chicken, portobello mushroom, caramelized onion, mozzarella, balsamic BBQ sauce, chives) was a close second. There is a lot of creativity in the pizza here and they deserve your money.

  • David L.

The pizza was really quite good; I understand why they can't make each slice fresh, but I still disagree with whoever said they make the stuff in the morning and then let it sit all day; I watched someone pop a new one out of the oven and set it down right behind a nearly-depleted variety. I picked up a slice each of Veggie #2 and #6. Both were excellent; crisp crust, fresh toppings, with good balances of flavors. I particularly appreciated the preparation of the artichoke on #6, as that's entirely too easy to screw up badly. Also, I have to note what I got certainly didn't *taste* several hours old. That said, I'd really like to get an entire pie next time I go, to see exactly how good it is fresh out of the oven. On a side note, I couldn't even have told you it was gluten-free if I hadn't known already. As for the atmosphere, it was... odd. Reminded me quite a bit of what would happen if Chipotle was running a pizza joint. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but it doesn't feel like a street-corner pizza joint or like an Italian restaurant, so it just doesn't seem to fit. All-in-all, well worth $3.00 a slice, as two slices was more than enough to make for a decent lunch. I'm not sure it's the kind of pizza I would order for dinner (too light), but that's a matter of personal taste more than anything. It gets a four on flavor and relatively low prices; the atmosphere and the fact that it has yet to develop its own take on anything ELSE normally served at a pizza joint deny it a five-star rating.

Total win. I love the pizza and what they stand for. A lot of the ingredients are sourced locally and are organic. Love the dairy free/gluten free options (makes it easy to feed kids with allergies). The Cesar salad is incredible and I crave it!!! The staff is helpful and friendly. Any mistake made with your order is handled professionally and properly. Clean, healthy options! I can feed this to my kids and feel good about it!!! I wish there were more places like it!
