Hands down the best Asian restaurant in the area. Everything is good and the owner is a great guy. I wish he had a better view of his restaurant from the street-easily drive by and miss it...and miss the best Chinese in Montgomery County. It's a shame that I see people going to China Keng up the street and not here. Only reason people go to China Keng is that they are visible from 611 and have been there for some time. This restaurant kicks their butt! Plus sit down available. Why drive to Philly's China Town? BYOB also!

We are new to town and were looking for a good Chinese place to order take out from. We found David's on here & we're very disappointed. We ordered take out on a Thursday & they told us it would be 30 minutes to deliver. 45 minutes came and still no food. I called and the lady told me that the delivery guy left a long time ago. 15 minutes later, still nothing. Called again and she called the delivery guy & said he was 5 minutes away. He came over an hour after we ordered and they didn't even get our order right. Food was bland. We won't be ordering again from David's!

We just moved to the area a month ago and our family has eaten at David's three times already. It's that good. The food is fantastic. Pad Thai, general Tso's, spring rolls, I could go on. The ambiance and decor is rather bland but the food makes up for it. The staff is very friendly as well. I was pleasantly surprised by the plate of fresh fruit they bring out after your meal. I highly recommend you try it out. I'll see you there.

We walked into the restaurant and the server behind the desk was extremely friendly and welcoming. He promptly placed our to-go order and we only waited 15 minutes. The food was piping hot, like burning my legs when I rested it on my lap to eat (after driving a half hour home!). So I was really impressed with that. The chicken Pad Thai was really delicious--had tons of chicken and more cabbage and less peanut taste than I'm used to but overall I stuffed my face with it. I might ask for more peanut sauce on the side next time. The spring rolls were SUPER yummy and I rarely enjoy spring rolls. However, the crab rangoons were clearly freezer burned and were soggy and chewy as opposed to the normal crunchy and warm. They were a disappointing in texture but still tasted yummy to me. I would order the pad thai and spring rolls again and recommend this place!

Best Chinese food in the area! Consistently good quality food. They even gave me a free fruit bowl for dessert. My only complaint is the atmosphere in the restaurant. Would much rather have background music than the big huge tv with low volume. Take out was a perfect decision.

This is the place to go for GOOD food and EXCELLENT service. I've been eating there 1-2 times per week for the last month and I'm almost finished each dish on the lunch menu. Also I've been there for dinner. that menu is so large it will take at least a year to sample all the items. The food taste and portion size is wonderful. The plates come beautifully decorated and there is a complimentary fruit dessert. Best of all is the warmth of the staff\owner. I am made to feel like family. Try this warm and wonderful BYOB or order take-out.

I really never write reviews... But I had to say how much we enjoyed this restaurant. From the in house made noodles... The best soup... To the freshest ingredients served with beautiful decorations.... Don't bother driving to center city... This is the best!

Ordered take-out last week for lunch. The beef chow fun was way too greasy and no taste at all. I understand it is chow fun and supposed to have more oil, but the main problem is the taste, which has no taste at all. My tongue is pretty easy-going that I eat a lot of plain steam food with only lite salt and pepper, but the noodle dish was just, meh....I ended up adding soy sauce but still it wasn't helpful. Lunch came with a bowl of hot & sour soup, the worst I have ever had. Again, no taste, its neither spicy nor sour. What's the point? I will not go back for sure. Btw, this review is coming from an Asian.

David took a 30+ year old noted for lousy Chinese food and totally redeemed the location. The exterior was painted and architectural highlights added. The ambiance is lovely. Soft white and blue lights give a gentle glow to the interior. The servers and owners want to give a good experience. We parked in the handicapped spot, and they came out to open the door. Never had that on the way into a restaurant. The food is quite good. The menu is standard suburban Chinese, but they do it very well. We had two dinners_ soup, egg roll, platter. Both quite tasty, but not taxing on the chef. It was the sort of orders that prior owners messed up. We also had a chicken and broccoli Fisher that was beautifully presented and quite delicious. David has worked at Jasmine in and Glenside and Zeke's in Ft. Washington. He has learned from masters.

Very good Chinese food! I had the general tso's chicken very good! Delivery was fast! I was shocked they delivered to my area Elkins Park Lywoodgardens apartment complex. I will most definitely be ordering from here again! This place is like China town I love it!

My first time at David's Asian bistro and I was impressed. Had shrimp with vegetables and chicken fried rice. Asked for everything with light oil. Absolutely delicious. I will be going back!

Sub-par chinese food. Everything was heavily cornstarched, even the soup had that thick, gloopy texture. My husbands beef dish was extremely salty!! The service was good but I still wouldn't recommend this place.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
