C&W catered our daughter's wedding Saturday, 10/19. Everything was wonderful!! our guests raved about the food and service...especially after the skies opened up...smiling drenched servers!!! A special thank you to Kimesha Wing, catering manager, for her friendly professionalism....superb! This was our only time as parents of the bride. Curds & Whey are certainly part of our special memories of a great day! Thanks so much

Not terribly bad, but I have not been back there in quite a few years, so who knows at this point. I do remember it being quite cramped and my friend was not happy with the service.

This is my go to place! Always good. Always fresh. And always treated like family as it seems everyone who walks through the door is! It's the best for baked goods including the BEST home made cookies! I've used them for catering shivas to engagement parties and had most things on the menu from the simplest eggs or salads to any crazy combination I may think of-they are always up for making something new if requested. It's the first place I think of to meet friends for lunch. So sad they aren't open for dinner anymore...but there's always take out from there!!

I've eaten at Curds & Whey a couple of times & it was very good! The service is good, food is really good, it's very clean.

I have driven by here so many times and was always curious to try it but just never did. This past week one day I had the time and I stopped in for breakfast. Boy was I glad I did. I had and egg and cheese omelette that was so fluffy and good. Cooked to perfection! The potatoes were real potatoes, not frozen hash browns that you get at a lot of places. I chose whole grain bread for toast and it was a quality bread. Very tasty. The server was friendly and came back many times to make sure I didn't need anything else, and she asked me how I liked everything - she seemed to really want to make sure I was satisfied. In fact everyone in there was friendly like that. When I was paying I couldn't help but notice the desserts up front. I picked up a mix of cookies to being home. The cookies were amazing! My whole family enjoyed those and kept asking again where they were from. I will make sure that I pop in more frequently. The salads up front look very good so j would assume lunch is promising!

Go local! Not down the road! Curds n Whey is run with family-like friendliness. Amazing local foods! The bread there is outrageous. Whatever you need for a catered event, light lunch or dinner, or a few select groceries, you can get in Curds n Whey. Oh and they have bags of Philly Fair Trade Roasters!

Flavor: 3 stars. Portion size/value: 1 star. Ordered the Dresher, basically a BLT with cheese, to takeout. Got home and was shocked at the size of my sandwich. It's maybe 3.5 inches wide from side to side (at the widest point,) and less than an inch thick. At first glance I thought maybe they only gave me half of my order, but then I saw that the tiny sandwich was cut down the middle. I just paid $9 for Curds and Whey's whole sandwich, which might be the equivalent of Panera's half sandwich.

I wish I was in the area more often so I could come here weekly! My friend and I was going to be in the area and we wanted something light to eat so she found this place on Yelp. It was a little difficult to find because we wounded up in the parking lot right above the store but there was a cute little sign that pointed us to "STORES [on the] lower level". We were kind of confused when we first walked in because the first thing you walk into is the little store that sells desserts, bread and other goodies. There were also no one to bring us into the dinning side but I think that was because they were eating. Once someone from the back saw us, we were greeted and seated. My friend had the Portabella Mushroom Burger ($9.00) and when it came out.. It was huge! And came with a side of chips. I had the Turkey Special Sandwich on Whole Wheat ($10.99) which had coleslaw inside and a side of chips. The sandwich was very good and the coleslaw was absolutely delicious! I am craving this sandwich as I am writing this. The service here was nice and I think the general customer base probably is too. An elderly couple came in the same time we did and was seated next to us. They were such an adorable couple. The husband joked with us about what my friend and I were getting and how we were not to copy them. They then joked with each other about the wife always coping the husband. I cannot wait to be back in the area for about sandwich!

It's still good food made very well with nice homey service from waitstaff that do not try to build the tab and who do not rush you out. They now have a bread and French Pastry department by Georges Perrier. Honestly the bread is wonderful but the French pastry is just good. For sure workmanlike good examples but not my favorites. This is my 5 star pastry place yelp.com/biz/swiss-haus-… ...but i digress! In recent years we have had all kinds of soup here, and many sandwiches, wraps, and salads. All were at least good if not outstanding. Back a few years ago we ate their full dinners, but for some reason we just have not had them recently - they were up to snuff, I guess we have a lot of choices... They now do breakfast too and it's worth a trip. I think you can not do much better, I know you can't in the Jenkintown area, and you can do much worse. Prices are quite reasonable for the level of food you get. The servers are all nice and I have had no problems. Someone wrote about issues with an 80 year old waitress - well, yes there is an older waitress and she works hard like all people in their job. If someone like that does not deserve a small break because she no longer moves like Jagger, well I don't know who does.

Curds & Whey catered a small dinner party (9 people) for a charitable organization that I support. The salmon, cold broccoli/craisin salad, pasta salad and enormous cookie/rugelach platter were all terrific. The salmon was moist and perfectly cooked - accompanied with a garlicky-herby-yogurt sauce. YUM!!!! The owner is somehow related to one of the ladies on "the board" of the group I am in so, I bet that's why they use them - but related or not - this food was "as good as it gets". Great job C&W! One day I will come and eat there - I can't wait!

Just stopped in here with the family for breakfast on Saturday. I had heard a few people say how good it was, but I wanted to experience it for myself. What a treat! We had these really good breakfast plates with eggs, toast, bacon, fresh orange juice...I would have licked my plate clean, but I reminded myself I wasn't at home. We all left happy, and surprisingly the whole meal was alot less than I expected, very reasonably priced! Definitely stop in here for breakfast - you will not be disappointed!

Fine local eatery with a nice array of choices. A bit slow with the service.

I'm a big fan of Curds & Whey. Yes, the service can be slow, and yes, the clientele often includes your fair share of octogenarians. But the food is solid -- fresh, consistent, and delicious. I'm a big fan of the Boca Raton salad (grilled romaine and portobellos with a balsamic reduction) and often add grilled chicken (their grilled chicken is always moist, tender, and really flavorful). Love the Rydal wrap, too. My husband loves the Maryellen salad, which includes chicken, candied almonds, and goat cheese. I've never been for brunch, but given the good luck I've had with their lunch and dinner menu, I'd love to try it!

I have lived in Jenkintown for many years and only recently found Curds and Whey! I was pleasantly surprised to discover the numerous healthy options available for lunch, dinner, and take out. I was even more impressed by the vegetarian choices - eggplant parmesan, curried lentils, and a chopped broccoli salad (to name a few). I was pleased to find that the staff (chefs included) were extremely attentive and considerate of my dietary restrictions. Not to mention the impressive desserts made by an in-house pastry chef. I highly recommend the key lime tarts! All in all, a great experience and I look forward to my next visit!

I went here for a small gathering. We sat outside, so concerning the ambience, the weather happened to be favorable, and the surrounding noise levels weren't so bad at all. As for the food, I found my salad sub-par. The sugared almonds didn't taste the least bit sweet (not even alone), and the salad overall lacked in flavor. Finally, the mixed greens weren't really inspected while preparing my salad. I left a pile of battered leaves the size of a golf ball on my plate. As for the service, I have no real issues here. The service was neither stellar, nor appalling. Overall, I had a bland experience. They have a selection of salads that's wider than a number of other places I have visited recently, and that's a plus. Now they just need to figure out how improve the "wow-factor" of these salads.

L.S. 8/7/12 Recently the restaurant catered a 65th birthday party for my husband. The catering manager helped to select an absolutely delicious dinner raved about by all! The hors d'oeuvres, dinner and desserts recommended were perfect. Karen was wonderful to work and was always available to answer my questions. The servers and chef were an excellent addition making the party a huge sucess. They will definately cater my next party!

My one and only experience with this place was great/bad at the same time.... Our waitress was kinda crabby, the old lady at the register was downright rude, and the host sat our group at a table without highchairs (we had 3 babies, so duh). On the other hand the food was to die for, another waitress that helped us was just so nice to us and they have great free samples in their waiting area/deli. So I will be back and hopefully it will be a perfectly blissfull experience! The turkey sandwich with avocado is worth the lameness of some of the staff.

AMAZING tuna melt! The best I've had. A nice, very clean, sweet feel of a jewish place. Good place to go for a brunch with your girlfriends or to take your family. Great market for desserts.

Maybe it was the MOOB event tonight, and the fact that I couldn't make it, that put the desire to slay a burger in my head this morning. Whatever it was by 3pm I was a wild-eyed, meat & cheese crazed lunatic! Damn all, I HAD to have a burger! But where? I'd already had enough of 95 & 76 and wasn't about to head back into the city. I live in the burbs and pickens are slim in my hood. There is the square paddy daddy's girl place around the corner and about 15 golden-arched clown houses within a mile...but my shadow hasn't darkened the doorstep of a chain since reading Fast Food Nation. So where does one go? Well if you are anywhere near Abington/Jenkintown get your ass over to Curds & Whey. In a rare moment of clarity, I remembered the words of Aaron O. "Curds & Whey has the best burgers". Well my friends, I can't say it's the "best" but it was damn good! Hand pressed paddy (cooked to order) served on a grilled brioche bun. Fresh romaine, beautiful slices of tomato, and thick pickle slices are served on the side along with chips and ketchup. God, I may actually be craving another as I write this...ok, gotta go.

The cashier or she may have been the owner was too busy on the phone ordering supplies for the store. My 3 year old wanted a cupcake. She was very quick to tell me they didnt have any and turned her back on us to carry on with her conversation. We wanted ice cream which looked very good, but she was too occupied to notice or even ask. Pity.

Nice place--love the decor, but breakfast is only served until 11 a.m. Happened to come in for lunch and even though my three cheese melt was delicious, I was a bit bummed that the lunch menu didn't have as many options on it nor did they even have french fries--I wanted to substitute fries for chips but I couldn't :( However, their bakery/deli section has a good selection and I'm going to make it a point to come in for breakfast one of these days because their breakfast menu has some great items on it.

I am frequently in the area around this restaurant, wanting to stop by for a cup of tea or coffee, or just find a place to hang out for a while and chat with friends. We often eat at Jules Thin Crust, and this place is right next door. I wish I could find more here that I like, but it just doesn't speak to me. The inside of this place is cute, and there's a pleasant patio outside (although it does look out on a vast expanse of parking lot). But it seems to appeal to an older audience, and one with a bit more money to drop than me, and with slightly different tastes. This place has a little market area with a number of retail items for sale. The prices are very high and there's nothing that really strikes me as unique or something that I really want to get and can't get elsewhere. I could see buying high-quality loose-leaf tea in a place like this, but the tea selection doesn't impress me; it's all stuff I can get elsewhere for cheaper. And in spite of the name suggesting cheese, I don't see any cheeses that really grab my attention either. Across the way is Trader Joe's, which has an outstanding and cheap cheese selection, so if this place wants to draw me in with cheese it needs to either offer low priced cheese, or truly unique artisan cheeses. The people who work here are pretty nice, but the place is usually really busy. They seem to be doing really well without me so maybe it's just not my place. Oh, as one final note, the company's website doesn't have any useful information (like hours, menu, etc.). It's just a flash-only photo gallery...that seems a big no-no, if you are going to own your own domain name, at least put up your business name, address, and hours, at a bare minimum!

Horrible. The service was terrible, on all levels. The waitress didn't seem to understand that a dairy allergy meant that cheese was a no-no. (My wrap came with cheese on it, had to send it back) This was a disaster on all levels. No apology either for the mistake; nothing off the bill, no care about the fact I could have been spending the rest of my day in the ER. If you have any desire for good service DO NOT EAT HERE!! The food itself was just ok. Nothing to rave about. Really, I wish I had just gone to Jules right next door.

We eat here often and everything we get is fresh, high quality, well prepared and tastes delicious! I can't even really recommend particular things as literally everything is yummy. Their breads are always fresh and awesome. We do often order the Turkey Avocado Melt and the Rydal. Most items come with the option to choose a fresh healthy spring mix salad or you can get their broccoli salad which is so tasty you hardly know you're eating something good for you. As if we didn't have enough reason to go, they are now selling breads and pastries from Georges Perrier - I mean, my gawd, does it get much better??? I have only tried the french bread and croissants (trying to watch myself and stay away from desserts - ha! good luck to me), both are scrumptious! We finally made it for breakfast and they had a great deal - a full breakfast - coffee, juice, eggs, meat, potatoes and toast (though I substituted a Georges Perrier hunk of baguette which was nearly a meal in itself - yum!) for $6.50!

OMG, the burgers are huge!!!! This place was affordable, and really cute. They have a bakery attached to it. I loved my burger. The service was great and it was great for lunch.

I just had an terrible sandwich here. A chicken and spinach wrap that was for some reason cooked. It dripped with grease and was unedible. And that and a bottle of water cost $13!!! Avoid this place.
