It's bad. Food arrived 45 mins late cold and mushy. Salad was hot because it was bundled with the hot food. Opened the bag and the container was mushed around like they were tossing it around. The wings were small and burnt looking. I will not be going back. I don't understand what the other reviewers are doing. I had to laugh reading them.

This restaurant is a great stop. Friendly staff and very good food. I had the chicken parm which consisted of 2 large pizzas, penne pasta and a salad. Totally worth the $11.95. My wife had the Caesar salad and enjoyed that very much. The bread sticks they start off with are amazing. Only downside is the soda is watered down. Other than that it is a great place to stop and grab a bite.

Giovannni's is my good old reliable when ever I want a delicious meal that never disappoints me. Their mussels are fantastic as is their pizza. Give them a try and you will not be disappointed.

It's amazing to me that I can drive by a restaurant for years without ever seeing it. Giovanni's is my most recent reality wake-up - one which I should have stopped by a long time ago. After several meals I can recommend numerous items on the menu. 1) Pizza - of course the pizza was my first litmus test. Great thin crust, the sausage they use is very good, the sauce taste freshly made. OK. - that was good. 2) Antipasto - Damn .... That was good. I'll order that all the time. 3). Meatball Parm sandwich - enough for two (and I am not a small appetite kinda guy ) Service - A-1. Atmosphere A If I had to offer one suggestion to the management...."Get more parking" One suggestion to you, the reader...... "Get to Giovanni's early, parking can be difficult."

We've been going to Giovanni's for many years, and it's only gotten better now that they've doubled the size of their dining room. The biggest (really only) problem before was the wait at their peak times. There just wasn't enough space for everyone who wanted to be there. Give it a try, you'll like it!

Always great service that is fast and friendly. Food is consistently fantastic and they have no problem when I customize my order by adding spinach or shrimp to my chicken dishes. We are there at least once a week and are never disappointed

Chicken and Scallops Marco Pablo was delicious. Very big portions, table of eight, and every meal was great.

i've been going here for nearly 10 years, not because the food is particularly good but because it's the most convenient game in town. not anymore. it's gotten to the point where they screw up my orders more than they get them right. in the past i've even ordered spaghetti with meatballs and had them give me a foil container full of sauce and one meatball with no pasta whatsoever. that time i laughed with them about it, but after maybe 5 out of the last 10 orders were screwed up, i've lost my sense of humor. when i received hot wings with no sauce or blue cheese, completely dry and shriveled, i took them back tonight and saw another table walking out and yet another customer who appeared to be receiving a refund and an apology. they barely apologized and couldn't even give me a free can of soda for my troubles. $1.22 for a can of coke to help endure the 5 or 10 minute wait for them to dump sauce on my old, cold order was worth the price -- especially because i used the time to resolve to never go back again.

Huge potions, lax dining experience, and quality sauce. The pizza here is eh, but their pasta dishes and just about everything else on the menu (salads too) are on-point. Try the chicken parm; you get two HUGE pieces of chicken that nearly fall off the plate they're so huge!

we have been coming here for years and now that they expanded it's even better. Don't miss the all you can eat mussels on wednesday, the are the best and never find any sand in the mussels. For $12.50 it's a no brainer and did I mention salad and bread comes with it? Veal and chicken parm is excellent as well. Maybe I will get pizza one day as I'm sure that is awesome too.

Really great food! The portions are big and the prices are lower than other pizza/Italian restaurants. Love getting take out here! The only problem is the parking lot is small and difficult to maneuver.

Awesome place to get great food. Huge portions. Great pricing. Authentic pizza style. They have THE best roles there. My favorite is buffalo chicken. Great specials through out the week. They will take care of you no matter what your desire for italian cuisine.

I love this place. The food is excellent, the pizza is awesome. The wait staff are friendly and prompt. Don't pay attention to the idiots on here who want some cracker with sauce and cheese on it. This is actual New York style pizza. And the best part? It's all home made. From the dough to the sauce to the toppings. None of it is out of a box. Great place, great food. Go there, and go often.

Cheap, large portions, great breadsticks made from pizza dough. BYOB but bring own wine glasses if particular. Very casual. Huge menu and they will vary as well. My teenage boys think it's heaven. Most waitresses are very capable, but recently had a young one who seemed overwhelmed. Their catering is reasonable and exceptionally good. Staff always seems happy that you are using their services. Amazing number of repeat customers.

I still stand by what I said, Giovanni's has great food. However, my boyfriend recently got some bad food poisoning from their sausage soup, so I need to take a star away from Giovanni's.

While I'm only judging their pizza, I must say that I've been disappointed on my last few trips. The pie was gloppy, salty, and super greasy. The slices just wouldn't hold up to the soggy crust. Staff has always been extremely friendly. It's convenient and very close, but I think I'd rather go elsewhere for pizza.

Have been there twice. The first time I went I was lured there by friends who raved about the large and tasty chicken parm. So I had the a seafood combo in red gravy. The gravy was somewhat watery and "young" like it wasn't cooked down. It wasn't too bad, and service was good. They don't use a top grade of pasta, though. Went a second time a week later and ordered veal. Absolutely horrible. Was one of those pre-formed patties, like a hamburger, compressed into looking like a cutlet. Even had the grid markings on the bottom from when it was first made. Was gristly and tasteless. Service that night was poor. Our server was more concerned with working in the back than checking on on us, had to ask other servers to bring us stuff. Just one of those nights when any tip was too much. One last observation that turned my stomach: They took the pies that they used for slices, and saved them for sale for the next day. They could have sent the slices home with the help, or tossed them, but they were definitely being preserved. So, word to the wise, if you go there for slices, and the slices look beat, they probably are because they are antiques. I have been in there in the daytime, and seen the old slices. Of course, they deny that it it last night's pizza, but you'd have to be blind to not be able to see that it's an OLD pizza. Good luck, there's better pizza from two places within a quarter mile of Giovannis. And both easy to find - Randazzo's and Brothers. I am done with Giovannis unless I hear otherwise.

Ignore the people who expect super-crispy, cracker like crust. That's not NY style pizza. The pies here are about as good as NY style you're like to get. Just order a "NY style pie with a pesto stripe and bacon. You won't be disappointed. The pasta dishes are good, the service is fast and very attentive. Not much more you can expect from a neighborhood pizza restaurant.

UPDATE: We did try Giovanni's Pizza. The pizza was actually very good. I would go here again. It's a shame they don't deliver to our area. ORIGINAL: They deliver, but only if you're real close. I'm a mile away, and they won't cross the street to deliver. Unreal!

The chicken caccitore was delicious and had fresh ingredients. The portions are very large. The restaurant itself is pretty small do avoid going with a large group. By the time we finished our sit down dinner, the line for pizza pick-up was almost out the door so show up early for dinner pick-up.

I love this place, usually. But my last experience there the other night was less than enjoyable. Our waitress gave us our check and to go boxes 5 minutes after our food arrived. We thought maybe her shift was over but nope, she was there until we left. Talk about feeling rushed! Food was great as always though but maybe I'll stick to going on weekends?

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
