The Tom Yum noodle soup is very possibly the best soup I have ever eaten. My soup was with tofu and vegetables, but it can also be made with chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, or duck. If you like spicy food, try this soup!

The first time I experienced the Thai Café was a couple of months ago. I met a friend and found their dishes absolutely delicious. Spicy? Just right - tingled in my mouth. It should not be a surprise that it's more comfortable and cozy than wide open spaces with dozens of booths and tables. The name is self explanatory, isn't it? I prefer take out but didn't realize they offered it. I was delighted to find out today that dinner was a phone call away. Picked up in 20 minutes and our order was perfect. Spring rolls, green curry, dunken chicken --- incredibly tasty cuisine as compared to the bland fare served up in the rest of Indiana. Excuse me --- I'm going back for seconds.

I really want this place to be better than it is--it has friendly staff, a nice atmosphere, great location. Unfortunately, the food is really not tasty. The Pad Thai is ok, but not nearly as flavorful as other places. The Tom Kha is a disgrace. Its not really soup, just hot salty mushy noodles. This is one of my favorite dishes, and I know they can do much better. Other things are ok at best on the menu....I would not order the curry. I hope that the owners read Yelp and go visit some other thai places to see how Thai food should taste. We really want a downtown Thai restaurant---but this menu has GOT to get better if you want many people to keep eating here. .

They consistently have very delicious, beautiful food. There's this very homey feel to the restaurant, the service is always friendly and welcoming. I had the glass noodle salad, I really liked the chili sauce it was tossed in, and the shrimp was not over cooked. They make pretty good thai tea, and the duck and green curry always hit the spot. Great for vegetarians, I always leave feeling full, but never bad about it.

The experience I had at the Thai Cafe was just okay. It is not really a sit down restaurant. You order at the counter, get your own water, and come pick up your food when your order is called. There are a few tables for people to dine and they seem to do a busy take out order. The place seems clean and is convenient to downtown or the university. I ordered the Thai Fried Rice and it wasn't bad, but not as good as the same dish from the only other Thai restaurant in town. My husband ordered a curry that was quite delicious. Not a bad place, but nothing really special, either.

Came up to Indiana for Its a wonderful night and my sister in law suggested we try the new Thai place. Amazing food. Great service. Great Thai iced tea. I highly recommend the drunken noodles. The dinner rolls are awesome too!

I came in town to pick up my sister from school. I have never had Thai food before so I was a little sketched out about trying it, but I'm happy I did. The food was excellent!! The staff members were also very friendly too! I will definitely come back next time I'm in town.

Great food! A small operation, so it takes awhile when they get busy. I've turned a few friends on to Thai food here. Only downside is they don't have Singha beer :-)

this place really surprised me. it's cute inside but very small. my husband and i both got the small sized pineapple curry. for a "small" it was a lot of food! we were not asked the number of spice we wanted and it was super spicy. very delicious though and you could tell it was all extremely fresh! i will be back :)

We did a carry out order and the guy was nice on the phone and seemed knowledgable of the menu. The chicken in the satay was dry but the peanut sauce was very good. The pad see eu is not as flavorful as the other Thai restaurant in Indiana. The dish is lackluster and all you taste is heat. The saving grace was the curry duck. I enjoyed the creamy broth which had coconut milk, spices and lots of pineapple. I would have rather had less pineapple and more duck because the duck was nice and tender. Not too bad but maybe things taste better if you eat in house.

I thought the food I got (the Thai Fried Rice) was actually really delicious and flavorful. I really liked the intimate atmosphere, so it feels more like a cafe than a restaurant. I thought the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure I had good service. They even brought me a complimentary smoothie and told me that there was free wi-fi that I used on my phone. There was also on a little stand The Lonely Planet's guides to learning Thai and Bermese languages and so I glanced through them while I was finishing my food and drink and learned how to say hello, goodbye, and thank you. I certainly enjoyed the intimate environment and friendly atmosphere of the restaurant and I thought the prices were reasonable for their food. I highly recommend this place.

We had a very nice lunch here today. The atmosphere was light and inviting, and the owners were friendly. You seat yourself and serve yourself water adding to the intimate cafe feel. We had a roast duck curry and thai basil chicken. The food was really flavorful and fresh, both of our dishes were labeled as spicy but we found it to be a very flavorful spice. This is a great addition to Indiana I look forward to going back and trying more from the menu.

Slow/absent service, decent food. Went to have lunch with a friend on a Wednesday, showed up at 11:55 and waited for 10 minutes in a line of 4 people to place my order. Noticed my food as well as another's sat on a shelf ready for a few minutes until they announced my name to get it and take it to my own table. I ordered the chicken teriyaki, which was good (but of course a tad cold). The sauce wasn't overly sweet, and the was a sufficient amount of chicken for one person. Was perhaps overpriced for just chicken, minimal veggies and a serving of rice. Had to get back in line to pay. Had to serve yourself water, glasses...there's a place for a tip on the receipt but there was no service.
