The food here is delicious. When you request the spice level between 1 and 10 they are pretty accurate with heat. I've been to other places where a 2 feels like a 10 but this place matches the overall mild palette of Indiana. My favorites are the duck and the chicken pad Thai. Everything is juicy and tender. Plus they stay moist when reheated later as leftovers. The staff here is very friendly and the decor is simple and appropriate. This restaurant is right underneath Ironwood Grill so be prepared to fight for some parking or encounter some drunk people outside.

Couldn't have been more excited when this restaurant came to town. The food is excellent and the people are really nice and kind. If you come at lunch they have a nice special for $7.99 you get the entree plus soup or salad. Today I enjoyed Tom Yum soup. Things run spicy here so I get a level 4 and it's perfect to me. This soup is so intriguing. The heat hits the back of your throat quickly and then there are just so many flavors, that citrusy kick from the lemongrass and kafir lime and a tremendously good smell keeps your nose happy all along! (Except if it starts running from the spicy factor ) all in all, I think this soup is delightful and I'm sad when the portion is over because I'm always just one more spoonful away from comprehending the intriguing flavors! . The soup has your choice of meat plus tomato, mushroom, cilantro, and onion. Also to enjoy is the pad see ew. This noodle dish comes with your choice of meat plus carrots, broccoli, and cabbage. What I love is the flat noodles. The texture is so smooth and really great. Often I order pad see ew or pad kee Mao. They're so good I have a hard time trying anything else though I have friends who love the mussmun curry and pad Thai also! Verdict: Go to Teerak, love it, and then go back again! (And don't forget to try a candy on your way out! )

Highly recommend. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, though I'm partial to the pad Thai, pineapple fried rice, or pad kee mao. Great service staff and chefs. Shoutout to Tay! He's always on top of the ball, no matter how busy. Great lunch special and they deliver to your office! Take this place over the Thai alternative in town 100% of the time!

Great food, fast service. I love to call my order in and pick it up. Very healthy and one of the best places to eat in Indiana. I have only eaten in once. They had a. very nice server, but the only one for all the tables. Could use some work on the dine-in service. But the food.... No complaints.

I lived in Hawaii. Lived in an Asian community for 15 years. This is amazing to have in Indiana Pa. It makes me feel like I'm back in paradise. The heat scale is different. I usually like spicy, but level 3 is all I can handle. I always get the Panang. Usually vegetable. Then the best cure for a cold is the lemon grass soup. It's called Tom Yum. I like this w shrimp. The Thai basil rice is my recommendation. They usually have a live musician playing the flute. The staff is friendly and polite. This is a small venue. But perfect for a group of 4.

Great Thai food for the area. Very authentic so when they ask for a spice rating out of ten, go a lot lower than you normally would. I usually go about an 8 spice level at most places and here I went with a 5... Try the eggplant platter and the Thai iced tea!

Love this place. Some of the best cuisine in Indiana, PA. I Recommend curry dishes and fried rice over the noodle based dishes. Thai iced tea is spot on. Fairly consistent service and quality. Spice index is rated on a scale from 1 - 10, however the actual "spicy-ness" of the food varies drastically. A 5 may be tame one day and a raging inferno the next. Keep this in mind when ordering. I enjoy spicy food and consider myself to have a high tolerance, I usually find an "8" is a comfortable place for me.

Delicious, outstanding, authentic Thai food! Clean restaurant, excellent, friendly service. What a treasure for this area! So happy to have found it! They even gave the kids balloon animals, which was a hit.

I wish I could tell you about the food, but my take out never came. After an hour of a foretold "20 minute" wait time, I called back and they said they couldn't find my place. They didn't call to tell me they just went back to the restaurant. I ended up getting kim moon.

Pretty good, a little skimpy though for the price. I've only been a few times, but I got the spicy orange chicken and the dragon beef. Was very good, but honestly didn't sustain me too much

I like the food here, however a level 5 seems different every time I order... Luckily I like spicy food. My only issue is that we waited quite awhile for the bill and just had to go to the cash register eventually. Decent food though

We ate here last night, and our quest for good ethnic food in Indiana continues. The Thai iced teas were terrible (cloyingly sugary), and the dumpling appetizer (with pork, chicken, and shrimp) tasted undercooked. The Tom Yum soup was okay but reeked a little too strongly of lemongrass (and at a "3" heat level out of 10, was extremely hot). My shrimp Pad Thai was okay, though they could have gone easier on the grease. My husband's pork green curry was good. The service was okay, though I don't understand people spraying cleaners all around you when you're eating. Stop doing that, Pennsylvania!!!! I'm in no rush to go back.

Some things you should know about Teerak: As of my first visit, you can indeed pay with a credit card (I know they accept Visa & Mastercard, not sure about Discover and Amex) despite previous postings. They are generous with the spices. You order your dish on a spice scale between 0-10, 0 being not spicy at all and 10 being the spiciest. I ordered my food at a level 4. I like spicy foods but I don't like it when my food is so hot it is no longer tasty or fun to eat. To my liking (and I like to think the liking of the average American) the level 4 was perfect; spicy enough to feel the heat and open the sinuses, burn the lips, but not too hot. I think ordering a level 6-10 would probably be torture, so keep this in mind the first time you order and then adjust to your liking from there. It is very different from "Chinese food with a little more ginger and more heat." This comment from an earlier review with only 1 star seems extremely misguided. To my palate, comparing Thai food and Chinese food is like comparing apples and oranges. Yes, they both can feature rice and often have a sauced meat as the main entree, but the similarities end there. Don't let this review cloud your judgement before giving Thai food a try with an open mind. In the same vein, Teerak is an honest introduction to authentic Thai food (where the local Chinese restaurant is a bastardized, Americanized version of Chinese food - not an authentic traditional take on Chinese cuisine). That being said - the food from Teerak is spot on. The vegetables in the entrees are fresh and well prepared, the meat seems to be choice cuts and both feature char marks from the preparation. The flavors of the dishes are intense and pleasing to my taste. If you are a fan of Thai food, you will enjoy Teerak. I ordered for carry-out so I cannot speak to the effectiveness of the wait staff (there seemed to be two people there available to wait tables). The decor is clean and typical of a small Asian restaurant in America. You will not be surprised when you walk in the doors by the appearance of the restaurant, as there is nothing "special" about the atmosphere in Teerak, but this should not keep you from visiting or ordering for carry-out.

The food here is great and challengingly spicy (though the system seems a little out of whack; a 5 is unbelievably hot, I'm not sure what a 10 would do to a person but it can't be good). Friendly and prompt service. Though, I would second that other commenter's suggestion about not using cleaning spray on tables while people are eating. Yuck.

I started with the Crab Rangoon - very tender and delicate. And I recommend the Thai Param - peanutty and scrumptious. The waitress was very attentive and I really enjoyed my experience. It's a smallish place but I think it really works.

I ordered from Teerak Thai for the second time today. I loved the food I got from them last time and was hoping that it wasn't a fluke - it wasn't! My husband and I had thai spring rolls and shrimp pad thai (level 4 spicy), my son had chicken thai fried rice (level 2) and my daughter also had shrimp pad thai (level 2). Everybody scarfed their food right down - even my pickypicky son. The kids noted that spicy level 2 was a "little bit spicy" and my husband found level 4 just a shade too hot for him. I like spicy food, though, and I thought it was perfect. The pad thai and fried rice portions were large enough to make us all feel maybe a little overstuffed. This is definitely going to be one of our go-to restaurants in the future!

I don't like Thai food, or at least I thought I didn't like Thai food. My husband and a couple of friends decided to try this place out, since they like Thai. I was really surprised at how good it was. This place is SMALL, however the service was quick and good- and the food was excellent, and was served quickly with a nice presentation. I got the tasty chicken with a level 2, and it was a little spicier than I expected, but good. My husband had a noodle dish with a level 5 and he said it was pretty darn hot, but delicious. We will def be coming back.

My new favorite restaurant in Indiana. Great food! Very nice atmosphere, although the restaurant is quite small. Very reasonably priced (we went for lunch, and it was $8 for an entree + soup or salad). The pumpkin curry was delicious! Two downsides: currently they only take cash. and as other reviewers have said, there was only one waitress serving all tables (and it was packed when we went in at 1:30 pm for lunch on a Friday). Other than that, no complaints! Highly recommended. edit November 2013: They take credit now! :)

I really like Teerak Thai! I was spoiled with amazing, authentic ethnic foods while I lived in Seattle and when I moved back to the Indiana area, all ethnic cuisine around fell very, very short. I'm very happy to say that I no longer have to wait to go out of town to get good Thai food! Four stars only because I've had better but the food really is quite good. The dining area is nice, the curry is great and so is their Thai iced tea! Also good pad Thai and garlic chicken. Very nice and friendly staff! I will definitely be going back to try more!
