Peanut Butter Oreo Swirl. What more is there to say??! You have to love the local ice cream place where the flavors change daily and are being made on site. There are a few benches outside you can sit on and some tables and restrooms inside also.

Lots of options on the menu. I wanted ice cream but somehow ordered custard. It was still good but such a HUGE portion. I ate half and had to toss the rest. During the summer, you may end up getting eaten by bugs if you eat outside but you can always bring it home.

Love this custard, it's addictive. Always really creamy and unique daily flavors. A downside is that they only offer chocolate, vanilla, and the flavor of the day. The upside is it encourages you to come back for different flavors on a regular basis, and it keeps the line reasonable even on the hottest days, and let's be honest, you shouldn't have to think about ice cream, you should just eat it. I love their butter pecan, and their white chocolate raspberry truffle. The small is huge, so brace yourself! And just a reminder, they offer custard, it's a cross between soft and hard ice cream. Also they have yogurt options for low fat and low sugar. Enjoy :)

I go to people watch on summer nights. The custard is awesome too. Cash only. Get their calendar to find out the special flavors of the day.

Meadows, you get 5 stars for being the only one like you around. I've never had real frozen custard before and it really is a lot richer tasting than ice cream. The last time I was here, I tried the peppermint flavor of the day. I was with my sister and we ran into a couple of her friends from school. One of them tried mine and commented that it reminded her of Pepto Bismol. Even if it didn't, the implication was enough to make me taste it. "Hopefully, it is Pepto! It will probably aid in my lactose intolerance."

You know a custard place is awesome when even the lactose intolerant will gladly put themselves through hours of agony for a few minutes of Meadows-induced bliss. The portions are enormous, everything's freshly made, and there's really nothing bad you can say about the Meadows (aside from them not operating year-round!). The Strawberry custard is sinfully delicious in particular. They publish their menu of rotating flavors online now- so there's no reason to miss your favorites. Although everything's great, so you'll be fine no matter what flavor you get. Oh, and bring a buddy or two if you want to try the banana split!

I can't say enough good things about the Meadows. Growing up in Indiana, the Meadows was an all time favorite. Even after I've moved away, I try to come back and get Meadows custard as much as possible! Daily specials make each trip a new experience Recommendations: Cookie Dough Arctic Swirl Choc PB Cup

Ah-mazing ice cream, they churn in it right behind the counter. Since moving away from the area I catch myself wanting some every summer. A must stop when visiting.

I've never had frozen custard until I moved here. Now that I've had it, it is one of the reasons keeping me here. Their flavors of the day changes everyday, but they also have regular menu items. The turtle is excellent and their yogurt is so rich, you can't even tell if it's yogurt or custard. The place is very affordable, but don't forget to bring cash. The Meadows is hands down worth the 4 tablets of Lactaid I have to take every time I go there.

    Best ice cream ever!

The custard is great. They don't have many Italian ice flavors so no gelati. It doesn't compare to the Greensburg one.

One of the saddest days of the year is when The Meadows closes for the season at the end of October. My friends and I always look forward to the first weekend in March when they open back up again. It can be a freezing cold day outside, but you will see people anxiously pulling in the parking lot to get that first frozen custard of the season. The portion sizes are very generous. We usually get the "Kids" size cone which might be considered a Small at many other ice cream places. I remember the first time I went here when we moved to Indiana a few years back and I ordered a medium because of what I had been used to in the past. It's what I would've called an extra large at any place I had gone to in the past. I even got mad at my husband at first because I thought he had ordered the wrong size! Boy, was I wrong! Each day they have two special "Flavors of the Day." Some favorites include white raspberry truffle, chocolate chunk, peanut butter cup, cherries jubilee and chocolate peanut butter. My husband's all time favorite is the strawberry. You will find yummy little chunks of fresh strawberries mixed in....same with the peach. They always have vanilla and chocolate as well as a frozen yogurt selection of the day and a sugar free flavor as well. They also have large chocolate chip cookie sandwiches and brownie sandwiches made with generous portions of their vanilla ice cream in between. You can also get wonderful Turtle sundaes, milkshakes and so much more.

By far the best frozen custard I have ever had.

The best frozen custard and yogurt place in town. Drive by it any evening during the summer and you can see how popular the place is. That being said, they have quick service so even on the busy nights you shouldn't have to wait long, if you can find a parking space. Prices are good, the workers are friendly, and it is easy to make your own creation. I'm simple. I like a dish of frozen custard, the flavor of which depends on what flavors are available that day. (They rotate them. Fresh!) I also like the milkshakes. Really spectacular milkshakes in a number of flavors. The blueberry is amazing. They got some tables inside, but most people either wander around the parking lot or sit in their cars to enjoy their treats. Weekend nights are definitely the busiest.

My favorite place to go when visiting the family back home. This location has really great custard. They do not skimp on the amount of "stuff" added to custard. I recently ordered the Peanut Butter Cup on the last visit and the custard was filled with large chunks of peanut butter cups. YUM. They always have vanilla and chocolate, and 1 (or maybe 2) other flavors that vary daily. Black Cherry, Teaberry, Peanut Butter Cup, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Pecan (probably my favorite), Orange Pineapple... Pick up the monthly flier with the daily flavors on it to plan your trips. Meadows is a happening place in the summertime, hard to find a spot, but definitely worth it. Apple Dumplings are great too. Their sugar free ice cream is probably the best tasting sugar free I've had.

Some of the best frozen custard that I've had. I'd highly recommend this place.

Creamy, delicious, always good. The meadows won't let you down. If you don't like the flavor of the day vanilla and chocolate won't fail to impress.

You get delicious big portions. But be prepared to have to wade through all the trash to get yourself a treat.
