Very average food. The steak salad I got had barely any veggies, the steak wasn't bad. We got a white pizza and the grease was literally falling off the pan and made my stomach hurt. Way too greasy.

My experiences here have been much different than some of the other reviewers. I've come here at least 10 times, but usually not late at night when the undergraduate college kids come to drink or party. I don't drink much, so I can't say much about the alcohol situation, although I like how you can buy microbrews downstairs. My boyfriend thought there were enough options on tap, though they were mainly the basic macro brews. I mainly love coming here in the spring and summer when they have their outdoor eating area open. It is lovely and it is nice you can watch a tv from almost any seat. Sometimes they do play the music too loud, but maybe since I'm 25 I'm getting old now (just kidding). My food has been both great (pepperoni rolls, most of their fire grilled pizzas, California chicken wrap or sandwich) and mediocre (basic fish sandwich). Overall, I would recommend this place, especially on a nice day in the spring or summer.

Came here with a group of 13 friends to celebrate a birthday. Couldn't be more disappointed in a restaurant. To start, our waitress was bad. It took her ages to get to our tables to even get our orders when the restaurant was not crowded. Second, the food was sub par and took forever to be made. Lastly, they surprise you with the actual price of your food when you're done. On my receipt it said $7.69 but once it WA scanned by the cashier, it was $9. Would not recommend this place for anyone. Atmosphere is awkward and the set up of this establishment does not flow at all. Will not be returning.

When it first opened it was a great place to go for a nice dinner. Since then, it's gone way downhill. They are aiming more for the college students with their specials and for someone that is over 25, it doesn't appeal to me. The last time my husband and I ate there, the table was sticky and reeked of stale beer. It was too loud and we had to shout at our server. Food was okay, but service was terrible. Not worth the price.

they do aim at college students, but i don't know why because it's a little too far out for most college, so it's more of a local bar. their food is okay for the price, it's on the cheap side but i guess that's because they are trying to be more of a bar. the problem is the drown everything in butter and cheese, my portabello panini tasted like a grilled cheese sandwich when i didn't even get cheese on it. fries were good. their beer was stale but service was quick to correct it. it's a good bar, music is loud at night, but it's a great lunch place!

I never ever, expect much from the Ironwood grill. Sadly it is not a place that I would ever take a date, relatives, or colleges. Unfortunately, in this town of Indiana Pennsylvania; there is not much to offer in the way of really good food. The Ironwood grill is absolutely no exception. They're saving grace is, that they have a firewood oven and when done properly, it renders amazing pizza. But that is it for this place :-( everything else is mediocre, bland, simple, boring bar food. The only reason that we went here today, is it was close, they have a full bar, and they make an OK salad. Also, the carpet throughout the entire place is absolutely disgusting! They would be better off ripping it up and leaving bare cement floors then the gross carpet that they allow their patrons to see. Honestly, I am not sure how this place stays in business :-) on the other hand, in this town of Indiana Pennsylvania, there isn't much to rave about. So this establishment is just as mediocre as all the rest. Next time, we are heading to the Strip District where the food is amazing! In a bit of redemption .... my chicken salad was very tasty and our waitress was stellar. I don't hate this place but, sadly.... they have the means to be so much more than they are but obviously choose to be sub par; and sub par they are.

Typical bar food its good but way over priced they use a wood fired oven so the place is filthy from it i mean you can write your name in the suit on the open roof beams and do not stick your head in the kitchen or you will loose your appetite

Great! I don't see why there are so many bad reviews. We went to this place for the first time 12/14/12 and was seated by a very friendly staff. I ordered a draft beer from their list of 18 beers ,it came out right away and was cold. I ordered a sandwich that was very good and finally the waitress came back and checked on us several times and the bill came as soon as we were done. I don't know what else we could have asked for,

I found this so ironic that I just had to get on here and finally write a review. Been going here for years, the Pepperoni rolls are amazing. All the other food is average, and the draft beer SUCKS. I don't want to know the last time the lines were cleaned. Went here Friday night (2/24/12) and they had $1 Yuengling drafts. I went up to the bar and ordered a water and 2 drafts. The water came instantly but the beers took a few minutes. The tap kept pouring out foam, so it took awhile for the bartender to make beer out of the foam. While I was waiting one of the owners asked if I was being waited on because I was just standing there looking like I was waiting. I told him yes (he must have realized I was there for awhile). After a few minutes, I got my drafts, then realized they took forever to pour because the beer was warm. Wasn't going to complain because they were only a $1, and the beer always sucks there, I knew better. Fast forward to today, Sunday (2/26). I am in Martins grocery store approaching the line to checkout. I see that same owner approach the checkout line in front of me, There were 2 people in front of him. After waiting about 30 seconds to check out, he flips out! He throws his cart of groceries into the isle, yells at the one worker, storms out and yells at another worker on his way out. Mind you, I stayed in the same line and maybe waited a full 2 minutes until it was my turn. What did this guy seriously expect? I felt so bad for the workers. I hope the owner reads this. I don't care who you are - you don't act or treat other people like that. Do you seriously think it's the cashiers fault they didn't have more people staffed so that they could check you out INSTANTLY as opposed to waiting the unacceptable 2 minutes for you? Yet I waited almost 5 minutes for your horrible tasting, warm beer. Get real. According to the owners logic, I probably should have thrown my warm beers at the bartender and stormed out without paying, because you know, it's obviously their fault the beer was warm. What a joke.

We came with a large group and apparently the group ordered too many pizza. After everyone else was given food we were told ours just went in the oven. We waited, and everyone else was finishing eating so we told them to keep the pizza. I can't really comment on the food. They didn't charge us for drinks but we are now going somewhere else to eat.

3 stars if what you are planning involves: going there, drinking a beer or two, and being satisfied with that. I'm not a fan of the food. If you are going to eat, then eat the pizza. There is also a beer pong table in the bar for those of you that are 21 and still into that thing [or a creepy older person into the 21-year olds].

My husband gave this place a 2 stars, and I couldn't stand to let this dump get away with that so I am posting my own review. The food here is terrible. I was pleasantly surprised when I didn't get food poisoning in the next 24 hours. I had a grilled chicken sandwich that tasted like it had gone bad. I have NEVER sent food back, and rarely complain, but there was no way I could get this down my throat. Honestly I'm not sure how you can mess up pub food, but apparently this place can. Only plus with regard to food is the bottle of Sriracha hot sauce on the table. Service was perfectly fine. I honestly felt bad for our waitress when we told her how terrible the food was. She was very apologetic but didn't offer to correct the situation.

Nice Friday evening meal with two 20 something sons and 15 year old daughter. Outside patio seating on a beautiful evening added to the meal. Chicken Gouda nacho appetizer was a hit with all! Recent changes to menu add a lot of variety. They now may have the best sandwiches in town. Had the Dead Texan hamburger. Wow!! Tried the Ruben and also the Buffalo Chicken Rolls from the wood fired oven. Both also very good! Not much atmosphere, but the food makes up for that. People are nice and the happy hour $1.00 drafts are a very good buy. Maybe that's why it's felt that they cater to the college students? Looking for pizza, sandwiches or something unique? Try this place.

Wow this place has terrible food. The only reason it gets a second star is for the beer, TV's and music. We had steak, ribs, and a chicken sandwich, all of which were reeeeally bad. The ribs were burnt, the steak had been marinating for a week, which made it taste really old and ruined the texture, I got the sense it had gone bad. The chicken and avocado sandwich tasted rotten and the baked potato was clearly a reheated potato from earlier in the week. I felt sick after leaving. I really should give it one star instead but I may return to the bar, I'm new in town and I don't know what my other options are. The upshot is the beer store downstairs has a great selection.
