I love the atmosphere of this place . They have a variety of great drinks . I love to study here or just stop in for a break. The staff is knowledgeable and really friendly . I love it more than normal coffee shops. It's brighter and had a variety of comfy seats. , working areas and classic furniture .

I agree with others that this is quite a comfy atmosphere although it might be a little too shabby chic for my tastes. I like how there is ample seating and I enjoy the classical music. I was a little confused as to why a shot glass of water was served with my coffee but I looked it up and found out that's a sign of hospitality in Austria. The flavor of the coffee is nice and fresh. Next time I want to try the pastries and the loose leaf tea.

So I was disappointed with my visit yesterday. I got a medium bianco and I said not too hot like 130 and I received it and immediately took a drink to which I burnt my tongue and it's still scalded from that first sip. I had to throw away the drink because I never could enjoy it. What a waste of my hard earned money. I'm saddened that a request made was agreed upon but not delivered. Literally left a horrible taste in my mouth.

This is my favorite cafe that I've ever been to for a variety of reasons. They have amazing cakes, tarts, and other sweets, mostly of central European background. There aren't many places I've encountered that make some of these desserts and they make them very well. They have equally well made coffee (I like getting the black & gold) and a large variety of teas, some of which I've recognized as good quality loose leaf tea that I've purchased for myself before. I like that you are served on a platter and that they include water to cleanse your palate after finishing your coffee. I really like the atmosphere of the place too. It's a place where you sit, relax, and take your time instead of conforming to the on-the-go vibe you get with a lot of coffee shops nowadays. There's a large seating area with opportunities to sit by the window or by a decorative fish tank or anything else. This place is decorate how I would decorate if I had a coffee shop. I don't live in Indiana, or even Pennsylvania, so the worst part about this being my favorite coffee shop is that I don't get to come often. However anytime I visit my mother who lives in the area, coming here is on the top of my list to do in this small town.

Amadeus hands down makes the best cake in Indiana. Their Eastern European recipes are mouthwatering. Especially their farmers cheesecake and Belgian chocolate cake. Their pound cake is also really delicious. When you wander in they'll likely be playing classical music, my favorite place to read is beside the saltwater fish tank with a Jane Austen novel and a really big piece of cake.

We own two coffee shops in Illinois and roast award-winning coffee. Cafe Amadeus is where we go when visiting our PA family. This charming cafe serves freshly roasted coffee with great joy in a very charming setting.

The coffee selections here are very good, and they always do an intricate design on top! It's a really cozy atmosphere to study, read, or meet with friends. The decorations inside are so cute, I don't know who wouldn't want to visit this little treasure

Great coffee House, say outside on a beautiful day, completely enjoyable. The Black and Gold is a must try try, hot or cold!

This has become the new go-to coffee stop when I'm visiting friends in town. Great coffee and food and a cozy atmosphere. Love the mismatched furniture as well as how much space there is, never had a problem finding seats for our group.

The selection of drinks (coffee and otherwise) is quite wide. Being a non-coffee drinker I appreciated the other options such as smoothies, ciders, teas, etc. The pastries are amazing (and the best part, handmade). They taste delicious and have a hint of sweetness but not too much. The staff is patient, kind, and friendly. We were just visiting for a few days and they had some good suggestions and even offered directions. And the overall ambiance is relaxing, cozy, but yet sophisticated.

One of the best coffee shops on the east coast in my opinion, I have been all over from DC to Boston and this place has it beat. With wonderful coffee and the great ambiance this is a place you must go in Indiana, Pa

I'm by no means a coffee snob, but this is only place in Indiana that I like to go for coffee! There is nothing on the menu I dislike and everything is also fresh. I try to make it in at least once a day! They're always really friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing.

What a lovely place! Delicious homemade pastries that are way too tempting, an award-winning barista who presides over a fine selection of standard and seasonal items, and fun music that's never too loud.

Caffe Amadeus is a lovely coffee shop. The coffee is delicious and the lattes are BEAUTIFUL. Not to knock Indiana--because truly it is great town--but I wouldn't have expected it to have such a great coffee shop right on Philadelphia Ave, the main street. The inside is homey, and there's some outdoor seating as well. I was surprised to find that it wasn't overrun with college students on a Friday morning, despite school being in session.

Just like I would take the Coventry Inn back home to eat at, I would happily transport Caffe Amadeus as well. They have managed to achieve what I find lacking in so many cafes in San Francisco: locally owned, extremely friendly, handcrafted lattes (really, they are award winning foam artists), inexpensive, free Wifi with purchase, uncrowded tables on which to put your laptop and books, decor that I can't quite describe (Salzburg meets indoor fountain meets living room), and a really comfortable, unpretentious vibe. Their attention to detail is seen in how your drink is served if you drink it there: they place your carefully brewed beverage on an small, antique style, silver tray, and give you a tiny tumbler of cold water, almost like a chaser. Swoon. I wish they had a souvenir Tshirt I could have to remember it by. Sniff.

Great coffee/tea, great service. Charming atmosphere, cozy, free wifi. Generally very quiet, even when it's crowded. Truly, my only complaint is the hours. In a college town, you'd expect them to be open into the evenings, but they keep a 9-5 schedule. But if that's the worst thing that I can say about them, we're in pretty good shape.

Stopped in while my lady was thrfiting nearby. Good tunes on 'World Music Saturday'. The decor is somewhere in the neighborhood of in Victorian/bazaar/bizarre. Friendly service & tasty coffee; my large mocha is ginormous.

Love this coffee joint! Classical music and friendly service, the atmosphere alone keeps me coming back.. I really love their green tea smoothies and cappuccino (which has cute designs in the cream such as hearts/ swans etc) . All of the desserts (which are all made in house) that I've tried so far are incredible, especially the dobos torte. Cafe A is A great place to catch up with friends or study for exams with something new and delicious to try every time.

Their coffee is OK, but I've found my espresso has been over-extracted on numerous occasions. I like the general ambiance of the cafe, but I'm just having a hard time falling in love with their coffee. The only other problem is that their hours are 9-5. I'd certainly be more inclined to go here if they didn't close at 5pm.
