Awesome service... Watch out, the hot salsa is HOT! Tacos are awesome... Do not be fooled by the number 1 or 6... Number 7 is the way to go.

Food: We had the "dinner special" which was a little of everything. Great food. Loved the enchiladas and burritos. Taco was good but not any better than you'd get anywhere else...Really didn't care for the tomalees. They were dry and not good. There was also some type of stuffed pepper that was pretty good. About half way through it was too spicy for us though. Chips were homemade and delicious, we didn't care for the salsa. Service: Was excellent, never had to ask for anything. Checked on by multiple servers and the owner even stopped by. Cost: very good. We got two sampling dinner plates (12.50 each) and soda for $30. Average meal cost is $7-$9. Also note that if you pay cash you get a 10% discount from your bill. Other: 1 kid per table eats free

Absolutely awesome! Possibly the best Mexican Restaurant I've been to. Any city. Definitely the best Chimichangas I've ever had. Kids eat free and cheap margaritas. Their special platter comes on four plates and a ton of food. For 12 bucks. Most dishes are under $10. Friendly staff but can be slow when busy.

I really enjoyed the food here. The pork was seasoned so well and the service was excellent. As a California transplant, I've been a bit disappointed so far in the Mexican restaurants I've tried in the area. This will definitely be the one place I come to whenever I am craving Mexican food.

Work took me to to Sharon and I stumbled across and tried El Arriero. Service good. Space fairly typical. And, while the rice, beans and guacomole sides fell in to the average category, the flavors of the Mocaljete (?) were amazing. It was the first special. Way too much food for one, but boy was it good.

Service was prompt and friendly. Very inexpensive for lunch. Clean restaurant and restrooms. Lots of food. Lunch specials 1 and 10 were excellent. Highly recommended.

Really impressed that there's some pretty good Mexican food here in Hermitage. The restaurant is clean and nicely appointed. Service was great. There was a little bit of a language barrier, but that's what a Mexican restaurant should be like. Had the tacos carne asada. Meat quality was OK. Flavors however were quite good. Frijoles and arroz were mediocre. Nonetheless, I definitely will be back and trying a different entree. Also, can't wait to try the outdoor seating!

I live in Pittsburgh, but come up to the Valley every weekend. This is by far the best Mexican restaurant I have found in either location. I have tried a large portion of the menu, and every dish I have had has been excellent.

This was our stop after our Kraynak's visit. We pass by here on our trips but have never visited. Now, we are glad we did. As we entered, we were seated immediately and drink orders taken and delivered. Also delivered were two baskets of warm tortilla chips and two bowls of salsa. The salsa was fresh, chunky and delicious. Had the right amount of heat and garlic....Just good stuff. We placed out orders of which our kids all had the cheese quesadilla with rice and beans. I had two shredded beef chimichangas and the wife had two chicken chimichangas both served with rice and re-fried beans. The kids devoured their meals and continued with the chips and salsa. My chimi's were fantastic. They had the right amount of spice and filling and they were topped with con queso. The rice was good and the re-fried beans were your average, run of the mill beans. My wife felt the same way except she had one complaint. The ends of one of her chimi's were slightly burnt. She just cut it off and ate the rest because she said they were very good otherwise. Our server was great and had fun with the kids. The kids liked him too. He was talking to them and pretended to play with the toy cars my kids brought in. They thought he was hilarious. Our bill was $30 for all five of us. Why so cheap? Oh yeah, kids eat free with the caveat that it applies to 2-kids under 12 per table. So two of my three boys were free. We will be back.

I like the service and food very much here. The salsa and chips are always fresh and the menu is very large. I have only tried a few things here because I really enjoy the Chimi's, pardon my poor spelling. The prices are good and I would recommend this place to anyone. If your expecting Taco Bell, I would pass...

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
