The hot wings I've had have been good, but not as good as Kokomos were. I ordered the boneless wings once. They were awful. Fries are very good.

I really like this place. It has a bar and the wings are really good as are the nachos although I felt super guilty for indulging in them and ended up going to the gym at 930 at night to relieve my guilt. They have friendly staff and I was able to buy a 6 pack of Sam Adams to go which was great. It is a bit cramped and you are very close to the people beside you, fortunately the toothless party next to us was rather entertaining and left us wondering how in hell they could chew their wings. You can smoke in the bar area but even though I am a smoker it was way too smokey for me. Parking can be difficult but well worth going inside. I really liked going here. It was a relaxed and fun environment with good prices and great food and drinks. I will be back!

Went there a few days ago and had the wings-- delish. I had the Hot and Teriyaki Sesame sauces. Both were really good (I did like the hot better, but the Teriyaki was solid). Included was plenty of thick napkins, ranch dressing, and celery! (Take note Aroogas, these are not extras). The wings were plump and meaty and the right amount of sauce to them. Excellent beer selection. They had the usual suspects (bud, coors, etc) but the amount of specialty beers and micro beers was inspiring. It actually took me about 3 minutes to decide what beer I wanted with my wings. I decided on Victory Headwaters Pale Ale which was on tap at the time. (Dark golden body with the right amount of hops for a pleasant aftertaste for a pale ale.) Takeout beer is available. I sat at the bar. Please note if you are a nonsmoker you are in for a breath of stale air. It took about a min for my nostrils to get use to the smell, however my clothes reeked after I left. Outside the bar area it is smoke free. But other than the smell, the characters sitting at the bar were hilarious! There were a couple of good ones but the man who stole the show was toothless Joe who was still able to chew food thanks to 'old chopper' as he called it. He was a riot. I had to buy this man a beer. Tony's Money Saving Tip: Go during the weekdays at happy hour for great drink and food specials. Ratings: Wings 4 Beer Selection 5 Ambiance 4.5 Total 4.5 stars Conclusion: Wing me!

What a great place! A friend and I were in Harrisburg for the day and decided that we wanted to stop and have a drink and maybe grab a bite to eat. I could go on and on about how great the service was and how freaking amazing the wings were...but what is the point. Everyone else is saying the exact same thing. The other people sitting at the bar were total entertainment and I loved listening to their conversations. I will say that it is a bit smokey in there...would be great if they could open a window or something. That would be the only bad thing about the entire place.

The wings at Underdog are absolutely awesome. I usually don't like ordering wings because of lack of meat and too much skin. The wings here have a ton of meat on them, and flavor actually extends into the meat instead of just the skin. I ordered 100 hot and 100 barbecue for a bachelor party, and they were a huge hit. Both of the sauces were wonderful! I did spend a little time inside waiting to pick the wings up, and it seemed like a cool place to chill. Very open, nice decor, and a comfy bar. I also saw that they have live music, which is great. I'd like to come back and hang out sometime.

The winner and new champion of wings is Underdog! (keep it quiet though, I don't want everyone to know...) Great service, affordable prices, spacious surroundings, daily specials, and last but not least- great wings with a number of varied sauces. We had the hot and garlic hot- both were as good as the old Kokomos, which is saying something. They allow you to choose two sauces which is nice. From the outside you would expect this is a dark smoky bar but it's not- it's very bright and we didn't see any smokers.

The wings were definitely meaty, and they have lots of flavors to choose from. If u like ur wings not crispy and smothered in sauce, this is the place. The tuscan steal salad was on point with the steak cooked perfectly medium. I would pass on the fish and chips.

This is one of those places you drive by all the time and never really notice but wow was I surprised. Based on everyone elses review I tried the wings here and they were the best I think I've ever had. They weren't too saucy or boney.... Perfect and they all had alot of meat on them and the take special for 50 or 100 wings was incredible! Look up there menu online and you'll be pleasently surprised. I wish I could've stayed but having a friend with me under 21 and same with my gf I had to go :(. But looks like a very cool hangout spot they have a large glass devider that seperates the bar from the dining room a dart bord and plenty of tv's. The waitress' all seemed nice and so did the other customers. Wish I would've taken some pictures and gotten to stayed to enjoy the atmosphere more.

I was very happy with my visit here. A bunch of buddies were road tripping north but needed a spot to watch the USA vs Germany world cup match. Stopped on a whim and a yelp review and couldn't have been happier. Great Reuben sandwich and a TVs in every direction. Great friendly service too!

My wife and I went here this past Saturday. The wings we had were the best in the area. Meaty, crispy and soooo good. Staff was very friendly and the service was great. I'd recommend this place to everyone. Nice beer selection as well. We will be going back for sure!

This place needs a good cleaning. Menus, salt and pepper shakers and tables had food caked on them. The room next door allows smoking and it permeates the nonsmoking side of the restaurant. Bathrooms were unisex and nasty. As far as the food goes. Wings excellent, everything else was terrible. The steamed shrimp was the toughest I've ever had. Cocktail sauce, yuck. Grilled buffalo chicken sandwich...tough also. There were four of us. All of us has the same opinion. No need to return. Service was ok. She forgot 2 things we ordered at 2 different times. Not very busy.

Ordered 18 wings, 9 Honey Barbecue, 9 Jack Daniels. I got 9 barbecue, no honey and 6 Jack Daniels. I paid for 18 wings, someone doesn't know their math. I did call and told them of their mistake. They told me next time I call for takeout, they would give me 6 free wings. I forgot to get his name, I wonder if I really will get those wings.

Food was good. Prices were reasonable. The trashy folks next to me however were obnoxious. Actually talking to each other about how they wanted to break into my car.

Had I wrote this review before the the unfortunate fire, this place would get 4 stars. After the remodel, the atmosphere is too open, echo-y, and surprisingly too quiet for a sports bar. Yes, there are TV's everywhere, but they are TINY and with no sound. The middle section is now level, which is nice, but the tables are so close together that you would literally bump into the person behind you if you had the space to even squeeze in to sit. Now for the food - the wings are still very good. But this time around, I decided to order ribs - which were also very good if it were actually fully covered in BBQ sauce and actually hot or even warm. Yes, you read right. My ribs came out cold. Not sitting out on the window cold, but freshly pulled out of the fridge, cold. That wasn't the only thing wrong with the food at my table of 5, but that's a review for someone else to write. Also, they did away with wing specials. With the new unwelcoming atmosphere, inexcusable cold food, and slightly below average service, I don't think I will be coming back ever again.

TV's are too small. Would rather they have less of them with better quality. Wings are excellent and some of their sandwiches are not bad. Place has gone slightly downhill from a few years ago but overall still solid.

Went there before they burned down & after great service but when it's crowded service gets slow...drinks are great & I definitely like that the bar has a separate smoking area except for when the food sort of smokey

I went for lunch on their re-opening. Place was half full, staff were hustling but took 35 minutes to get burger, 10 minutes to get drink. The menu on the website is not the same as the one in the restaurant, I wanted meat loaf but not on the menu or Monday specials . The beer selection on the menu is small you have to ask to see if there are others, and there are. The wait staff are friendly and working hard but they are not trained. Wait person did not know if they had wi fi (they don't), or the 3 sampler beers for $6.The wait person could not explain why the menu and website menu are different. The menu is huge and nearly all of it from Sysco. If you only have 30 minutes for lunch forget it. There are 5 different fries and they are all frozen straight out of a packet. The wings are small but the habanero. mango sauce I really liked, I am guessing it is not home made. There were lots of wings options. The burger medium was served well done. It had no seasoning. The sough dough bread I liked. The steak fries were terrible with some seasoning covering the potato taste. The video game was frustrating and not user friendly but I had to do something to pass the wait time. The place is surrounded with TVs as it is a sports bar, but no sound system to hear the sound and there were four or five different stations all playing differnt things at same time. The only thing this place has going for it is very low prices with many lunch items under $5. This alone will bring in a certain number of people and perhaps keep them in business. There was no special for the reopening, no discount, no coupon for a future visit. No promotional give aways, no opening day prizes where they capture your email to send you future promotions. There was a bowl wrapped pieces of candy at the check out. Sorry to be so harsh but I have limited money to spend and there are so many places that are a lot better. The bar is a smoking bar and seperate from the dining room. The owner obviously does not know how to market and does not watch TV to know it is advisable to have a "stress" test before opening / reopening to iron out any problems. The old adage is true you only get one chance to make a good first impression My visit gave me no reason to want to return.

Worst service I've ever received at a restaurant! Waitress spilled sauce all over our table and floor, as she was cleaning it up she stuck the dirty napkins in my drink, that was not finished, and still charged for me in the end. Bad atmosphere, too tight of tables, one bathroom, and food was so-so. Hamburger was okay, but what we went for were wings, we like spicy so we ordered hot habanero which was no where near hot! The manager had to bring us some rub and hot wing sauce for us to mix before we could even eat our wings. Will not go back.

I don't think there are better wings and bar food to be had in the harrisburg area. Take out is the way to go though, if you're eating there a quick meal isn't an option. The wing variety is fantastic, the wings are cooked right and the seasonings are unique and deliver strong flavor. The burgers are thick, juicy, and deliver exactly what you want in a bar burger. They have a build your own six pack section which is convenient and great for those who want a little variety in their fridge. I was bummed out when the fire happened and I'm glad to say they haven't lost their culinary touch after the renovations have been done. This place is worth the trip.

I've only been here three times. The first time was the lunch hour before the fire (my party left well before it happened later on). The service was fine. The atmosphere was fine also; it seems the same to me now as it did before the fire. It's clean, the lighting is dim, it's quiet when half full, and loud when packed. I ordered a chicken cheese steak for lunch. It was just okay. The chicken lacked flavor and the pieced too big for a cheese steak. Not too many places in Harrisburg know how to make a really good cheese steak. The second time I came was also during lunch, right after they re-opened. The place was packed, and since we could not wait the half hour to be seated, we took a booth for five people. We were squeezed in (more our fault for not reserving a table). The waitress was new (one of the people in our party is a regular, so they knew). The service was very slow. She forgot to get some of the other people their drinks, and when the food came out for our group, everyone else got their food except for me. She told me that my food was dropped and they had no more to replace what I had ordered. It had happened earlier, yet she failed to tell me until everyone else's food came out. Well, I could not go the rest of my work day without food, so we had to wait until they prepared something else. Luckily, they covered the cost of the meal (but still charged me for my ginger ale). I ended up with fish and chips, which had only a little flavor, but was not too greasy. The third time, we called ahead for lunch. Everything went smoothly, and we were able to get out in time. I ordered the cajun chicken sandwich. This was the worse thing I have had there. It was alright, but it did not have any cajun flavor or spice AT ALL. It just tasted like a regular chicken sandwich. The buns on their sandwiches resemble those from a fast food restaurant. I know it's just a sports bar, but other sports bars have had better rolls than that. Personally, I would never eat at this place outside of special work outings (its close and cheap). It seems people like their wings a lot. I haven't tried them, so maybe I'll take a risk next time. It seems as if everything else may be lacking.

The wings are great, and the sauce selection is impressive. You cannot go wrong with the 60 wing sampler. Great place to watch sporting events, as they have plenty of tvs to go around, and generally have a good crowd on gamedays. The place isn't without its faults though. The place is dirty, like Bar Rescue dirty. Not only did the place need to be cleaned from top to bottom, but they have to do something about the smoke in the bar section. Get a better ventilation system to keep the air clean. I've only ever been in the bar to pick up a ToGo order, and that was enough time in there. It was rather unfortunate that the place had a fire and closed, but that could be a blessing in disguise. I cannot wait to go back when it opens again, as the place will be clean and remodeled. Hopefully it stays clean, as that is a big distraction from the great food.

If I'd written this review before the fire, I would have given it 5 stars. Not for the cleanliness (always sort of dumpy), not for the comfort (are you kidding - only 1 restroom? and smoke pouring out of the glass-enclosed bar every time the door opens - yuck!), but 5 stars for the local feeling and 'neighborhoodly' atmosphere with servers and diners that were all happy to be there. I've always really liked the 'Dog'. I ate there last night, the first time since they've rebuilt the place. The 3 stars I give it now are simply because the wings are still very good with interesting flavors (among the best I've had in Harrisburg), and because the beers and specials are the same as before - a very nice craft/draft beer selection, and prices are really good. Everything I've eaten there has been decent - from crab cakes to salads. But the place really lost a lot in this totally uninspired, after-fire makeover. No more cozy corners or booths. No more coziness, period. Now Underdog has as much atmosphere as your typical bus station waiting room or your bowling alley snack bar. Plenty of tables, plenty of (silent, small) TVs everywhere, but nothing else going for it (well, yes, the step up/step down in the middle of the room is gone - but maybe that's what gave the joint some class?). When I suggested that they turn on some music (to help dampen the cavernous echoes that define the ambiance of this room), I was told something like 'that would interfere with people in the smoking bar who want to hear their TV' - or some similar lame explanation. Anyway, if you can't already tell, I was disappointed. I don't feel the manager will read this or care (based on the response to my suggestion for some music). I hope all the additional tables will make up (for the owners) for everything they've lost in terms of comfort and atmosphere (for the customers). I'll go back, no doubt, but not with the anticipation I used to have for a tasty, fun, cozy dinner and hang-out. If you ask me, it lost a lot in the fire.

I would like to split my ratings for this sports bar. 1 star - cleanliness and interiors. I have never eaten at the restaurant. It's always been a take out order precisely for the 2 reasons. Place needs a good cleaning and interiors need to be more pleasant. 3 stars - Their wings. Some of the better quality wings in town ... not best but won't mind driving 10 minutes on crazy 83 traffic for their take out order of wings. Call for your take out order and confirm the order with the employee at the end of call.... b'ciz of noise in the restaurant order can go wrong.... happened once.....got wings with bones when

Maybe it was a bad day, but I ordered 60 wings 20) Hot, 20) Bleu Hot, and 20) Garlic Hot. I ate almost 20 mixed with them all, and I never experienced spice or flavor once. It was the same for my wife, as well. The wings were soggy, and I'm not impressed at all. We've had wings from all over the world, and I'm surprised this place has a good Yelp rating. I might try them again next time I am in Harrisburg.

Friendly, attentive staff. Wings had little bits and pieces of burned substances that is consistent with old oil. I'm an advocate for good, fresh food with good all natural ingredients so Im not sure why I came here for lunch. If you like fresh food with good ingredients then look elsewhere. Typical fatty bar food, good beer selection. Everyone in there didn't look like they cared what they ate. Even my young children know that you should toast/bake the cheese on any respectable French onion soup. Overall, I won't eat wings anywhere for a while because I'm scarred by the wings served here. You can usually tell how good a place is by how clean their bathroom is and this places bathroom was filthy. If they can't keep the least used room clean, imagine the kitchen. They're paper towel dispenser had some kind of goo or dirty water dripping from the handle.

I wasn't a wings lover until I met my husband. He went on and on about how good this place was. He was so right! I'm not a fan of spicy or burn-your-mouth hot, but their Middlewarth BBQ wings ans their Garlic wings are SO GOOD. I swear I could eat my weight in them alone. Their waffle fries are a MUST. Good service, good food, good prices. What's not to love?!

Worried we were walking into a very dirty, run down, bar oriented no kid friendly place. It was exactly the opposite, it was not the newest or the most up to date but it was a great dive bar with tons of TVS,a separate bar, great service and great wings, not to mention great prices. And it was kid friendly as we had 5 kids after a day at their lax tournament craving wings. We walked in and were seated quickly on a Saturday night around 730. We had a tv changed to watch the lax game and had a few craft beers. The boys ordered 60 wings and left about 5. All the wings had a great sauce, meaty and very good. Our server I believe was Courtney and she treated us right. One of the boys in our group was celebrating his 13th bday and she brought over a piece of cake and we all sang. If we ever go back that way, we would definitely stop there again. Stop in, relax, grab a beer and wings and enjoy your sport of choice. You won't be disappointed!

Tried Underdog's for the first time yesterday... On Tuesday they have a couple of food specials, 3 tacos for $2.75 and 15 wings with ranch and celery for $6.99. We started with the tacos, which were alright. Soft tacos with ground beef. The wings though, were great! They let you pick two sauces which is nice. I tried the Peanut Thai, which was pretty good. My friend got the garlic parm butter wings, which were also pretty good. The Middleswarth BBQ chip wings were awesome though! It was more of a dry rub-- the wings were coated with ground up Middleswarth chips. It sounds odd, but it was delicious! They have a lot of different wing sauces to try and a pretty good selection of craft beers and beer specials. I will be back to try a few more of the sauces and get more of the Middleswarth BBQ chip wings! Definitely can't beat the prices here.

This place was awesome. Thank you to all the previous yelpers who took the time out to rate this place. Without the reviews I wouldn't have gone, twice. Its a total dive bar/restaurant. The bar smoking is allowed and a regulars hangout. The restaurant side is non smoking and has tons of TVs. They also have the MLB extra innings package so being able to watch my Bravos play was a big plus. The food and drinks is what made this place worth returning. The wings were awesome (tons of different flavors) and the drink specials were great too. If you're in the mood for good wings (huge menu besides wings also) and a cild frosty beverage be sure to come here. If I am ever back here for work I will be returning to Underdogs.

Great bar for wings and burgers. They always have sports games on TV. Many TVs! It can be a bit loud sometimes, and some of the TVs are a little fuzzy, other than that, it is very good.

The best wings in Harrisburg. They offer many different, unique sauces that will keep anyone happy. My personal favs are the hot chipotle or hot garlic and old bay.
