Camped out here during finals week. The staff is a bit overly friendly and odd (but this is the case at most starbucks, minus the overly friendly part). The place doesn't get much traffic either due to the fact that they are still new to the area, or their sort of bad location on the access road. In other words, good for reading peacefully. Coffee was normal for starbucks. The place itself needs more electric outlets for laptops and maybe more couch seating. The cold creeps in since its a smaller starbucks so you are blasted with weather if you are sitting in front of the door. Major plus is that Kinkos/Fedex is literally right next door if you need to make copies and such. Don't plan on piggybacking on someone's wireless internet server, there were none around, just the t-mobile hotspot or their pay service. 4/3/08- Been frequenting the drive-thru here in the last week and I have to say I'm impressed. The first time I was through paying, ordering and getting the drink in less than 5 minutes. Second time I went at peak morning time and there was 4-5 cars in front of me but they kept it moving and had finished in less than 12 minutes which is amazing if you think about how long Starbucks takes to make one drink, and if it's a blended drink, then even longer. Everytime their drive thru has been super friendly and unrushed when ordering. These guys got it down. Uppin' to 4 Stars.

A Starbucks is a Starbucks; so, the only things that separate them are location, service, and atmosphere. The location is convenient. The service and atmosphere are terrible. The staff have always been too busy talking to each other to see to orders quickly and the atmosphere is joyless and glum. Could well be attributable to the lack of windows and natural light. It serves a purpose, but always leaves me feeling let down when I leave which is unusual and somewhat freaky for a coffee shop.

Okay its a starbucks so I can't really rate it on coffee alone. This location is my prefered starbucks in the area. Its clean, staff is friendly but yes I would agree that the kids are a bit uncomfortably weird (we all were at that age). Maybe its so clean because it is still new but its been holding up quite well the last few months.

So a new drive-through Starbucks has recently opened right across from the Harrisburg Mall on Paxton St. My first visit was very grim, and I wanted to give them another chance before my Yelp Review - because I couldn't give anyone who provides my much needed afternoon caffeine 1 star. I'm glad I waited. The first visit was HORRIBLE - it was raining and I was in a hurry so I tried the drive-through, which was apparently not the quickest or best way to get my coffee. It was wrong and it took ages - I didn't have time to get it corrected as I was already late getting back from lunch - so I just dealt with the fact that I wasn't going to drink it. It left a bad taste in my mouth - literally and metaphorically. Fast forward a few days - Quiznos for a Tuscan turkey and then to Starbucks to give this location another shot (it's so much easier than going to Union Deposit or Downtown from work). I went inside this time - and they had much more staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and bubbly (like they'd been drinkin their stash!) and not only was my order RIGHT but it was THE BEST that I've ever had it. It was seriously even better than the girl @ Union Deposit who turned me on to Soy Peppermint White Mocha made it (although she's incredible!). So the real test will come later this week or early next week - will trip 3 be a disaster or perfection? Details to come!

They have started carrying these amazing breakfast sandwiches. However, they have no condiments! No S&P, ketchup or hot sauce!

Went to get some afternoon coffee. Waited a bit longer than normal. Nothing terrible at all excellent service. Because of the wait our drinks were free! Thank you so much for being customer focused you treat us well!

I used to love this location. It is right next to my work. Whenever the corporate offices planned on shutting them down, I was among the customers rallying to keep them open. Unfortunately, I am not really sure I would do the same anymore. Anytime I have a hankering for Starbucks, I inevitably stop. 9 times out of 10, they make my drink wrong. I don't even order complicated drinks. I have worked at Starbucks and I understand what goes into making a drink. And if they get your drink right, it is only half full. The staff is not real friendly, nothing like they used to be. You can tell that it is just a job to them. If it weren't so convenient, I would avoid giving this location my business.

This was my first visit to this Starbucks as I usually only go to the one in Camp Hill. I like how this one isn't as busy as the one there is at 1230. I will probably come to this one more often now.

It's a Starbucks. Does it really require a review.

I really enjoy this Starbucks for many reasons, and one is that it has a drive thru! Its also very conveniently located near my routes hear in Harrisburg. Service is good. They are friendly and fast. And if they take more than 10 minutes in the drive thru they'll just give you your order free of charge. Which works for me! :) My only complaint would be the time I was overcharged for my coffee and apparently it was because of the black eye shot I get in it. Except I have always ordered it with my coffee and suddenly the price went up...idk. All and all, Starbucks is a great place for coffee. A little pricey but great coffee. And this particular store rocks.

Typical Starbucks. Disappointed that they don't have an outdoor seating. It's in the midst of a parking lot so I shd not be expecting that I suppose.

Love the caramel ribbon crunch. Even though it's a limited time drink. Try to get one soon. It's like a burst of caramel happiness in every sip. Totally worth the 4 dollars in my opinion. So go try one it's delicious. But the wait is a little long if u try to get there in the morning. You have to leave home 1/2 hour early to get to school or work on time

five stars for coffee and a drive thru, minus on for a annoying location. no outdoor seating and a little on the small side inside. it is difficult to get back on the highway head toward hershey or carlisle. it is nice that the mall is right there.

I went here twice; first time, great service and great coffee. The second time, they made me the worst, horrible drink that tasted like sand paper, glue, and rubbing alcohol mixed together. Why i gave them 4 stars -- because when I presented our drinks back; the more experienced Barista (as they call themselves) moved the newbie off of the espresso machine and manned it herself. She even took out some tools (wrench, screwdriver) to tweak the espresso before she walked over and handed us our upgraded sized drinks -- which tasted... yup, Fantastic! This is service -- everyone makes mistakes, but this group recognized and made sure that they served excellent coffee in the end, with an upgrade to boot.

The usual, horribly over-priced, over-roasted, mass produced coffee. Brand obsessed lemmings line up to slap at your feeder bar. If you want real coffee, go to one of the many locally owned coffee shops with local (or onsite) roasting.

I have to have Starbucks at least 4 times a week or I think I will go into convulsions. This location has a drive thru which I am huge fan of since I generally do not have time to go inside of a place. They are ALWAYS super nice and get my order right. Some of the people that work there know who I am so when I pull up they already know what I want which is pretty cool considering they serve a ton of people. I have not had an issues with any of the Starbucks.. well other than my husband complaining about my addiction to it... and when I get the opportunity to go alone I go inside and take full advantage of the calm atmosphere and free wi-fi.. amazing how I was able to write 3/4 of my Thesis there.

With the heat wave we've been having here lately, it's been nice to be able to get my iced coffee through the drive-up window than hassle with practically melting as I walk from my car to the building and back. I was hesitant at first to try the drive-up, mainly because I thought that there'd be no way I'd get my coffee fix fast and the way I wanted it. I was wrong, because every time I go my order is perfect and I get it in a timely manner. I think the longest I've had to wait was 5 minutes.
