This is a super spot right by the capital. Booths and chairs areca little stiff. Atmosphere is the busy diner without all the stainless steel. The food is slightly overpriced but satisfies every greasy spoon fantasy I have ever had. Staff is friendly and very accommodating. I would drive out of my way to go here but it is a perfect stop in the morning if you must be in the city.

We stumbled upon Roxy's after we tried to go to Asalah's, which was closed. It was a cute little diner with a great view of the PA state capitol, but the service was terrible. It took almost 40 minutes for us to get our food even though there were not a lot of people eating there. During this 40 minutes, the waitress never once came by to ask if we wanted more water or coffee. We were about to get up and leave when our waitress finally brought us our eggs benedict, which were not that good. We asked for hot sauce and ketchup, which the waitress brought us. The hot sauce bottle was almost empty, with barely enough at the bottom. The ketchup was full, but two minutes later, another waitress came by to take it from us because her customers wanted ketchup. Also, all the waitresses spent more time playing with their phones than interacting with customers.

First time to dine in here since I am not from the area and I was impressed with their great and fast service!!! The waitress checks on us if we need anything, refills drinks very timely. Went there for breakfast and tried their new chorizo omelette and it did not disappoint, delicious!

We stumbled upon this place while walking downtown. This place was cozy and very casual, sort of like a Waffle House, but better food. If you're looking for a very casual place for a simple, no frills, nothing fancy breakfast, this place is perfect. The service was decent and the food was good. It definitely wasn't expensive either.

Been here twice. Food is decent. Diner atmosphere in a older restaurant building. Prices are just a wee bit high but service is fast and food is decent. Very convenient for many downtown workers. Some people are obviously long time regulars and the banter between staff and patrons is often like Cheers. The one day when I was in here the mayor was also there. Simple, basic menu - nothing swanky but a few interesting items.

I eat here mostly for weekend breakfast and an occasional weekday lunch. I've been going here for years and it's always the same people working which is nice. The service is pleasant and quick (most times, unless they're super busy) and the prices are reasonable considering the large portions, esp. for breakfast. I love the Greek omelette, and usually order whatever the specials are, sometimes blueberry pancakes, sometimes fresh sausage. The eggs come with toast, home fries, and meat and I rarely eat it all, or if I do I can skip lunch! It's nice to grab a seat at the counter when I'm by myself -- the staff always chats with me, but you easily be left alone to read. It's bigger on the inside than it appears from the street, so if there is a line of people waitingto get seated, don't despair b/c it moves very quickly. On weekends, you'll see a mix of people -- which is why I love this place -- like hungover 21-year-olds who just rolled out of bed, families just coming from church, bicyclists after a long ride, couples, singles, and everyone else. My only negative comment (suggestion) would be that it's time for a facelift on the interior and maybe replace the tables and floors and repaint the walls. It would be a great space to add some large corner booths.

I want to like Roxy's a lot. Friends love this place. Stacie there is super nice. However, some days, the service rolls better than other days. I'm not sure if it is a staffing issue or what. Usually I only come on a Saturday morning. On the positive, a lot of the food is good, though I've only been there for breakfast. Anything they make with chorizo is especially delicious. They are willing to do special orders too.

How can you improve even bacon & eggs ? They've done it. A better than usual menu, wonderful meal , good service, fun atmosphere. Try it, but you'll take your life in your hands using the rest room.

In the past Roxy has usually a decent place to eat. Recently it has not been as good; today was example of this decline. Starting with the facility the place is cold. Not just a bit on the cool side it was cold and uncomfortable. Ordered breakfast and while the scrambled eggs were OK and the corned beef hash maybe average for prepared packaged food the hash brown potatoes were bad. They were over cooked, grease soaked and surprisingly cold. Could not eat them. To make it worse the waitress was reluctant to do anything about it except to offer more of the cold greasy hash browns. Since there was no one in sight that I recognized as someone in charge we paid and left. I have enjoyed my visits in the past. The food has been good and the wait staff, one lady in particular, excellent. But I have noticed a decline in food quality and today was a new low. Will need some reassurances that things have improved before returning.

Horrible unless you like moldy bread, grit-filled eggs served up with a side of really bad attitude. Will never go to this or any related establishments.

Honestly, the food was decent, but I just had an awful experience here due to the server. My friend and I came here for breakast on a Sunday morning. The server seemed to be a bit off-his-rocker to begin with as he tried to seat us at half of a table that people were already siting at. We just stared and him and he ran away... finally a woman walked up and directed us to a new table... The food took some time to get there, but when it did... it was wrong. I had asked what was in an omelete while ordering but ended up asking for the eggs benedict instead. He apparently had written down that I wanted the omelete I had asked about.... Me: "Oh, I actually ordered the eggs beneditct" Server: "No you didn't." Me: "Umm, yeah I did." Server: "No you didn't." My friend: "Yes, she actually just asked you what was in the omelete then got the eggs benedict instead...." Me: "I mean, I guess I could just eat this... how long will it take to get me the eggs benedict?" Server: "Oh, it could take quite a long time." Me: "Okkkayyy, I mean, that's what I really want. Could you just take this back?" Server grabs it, walks three feet to kitchen and starts complaining, "the girl saw the omelete and changed her order..." Come on! I'm not even mad that the wrong food came out, but there was no apology or anything - he just argued, got mad at me, and then complained within my ear shot! This was insane and made me feel awful for simply asking for what I orginally ordered! Why should I be guilted into eating something that I didn't want in the first place? I hesitantly still tipped the man, but I will never come back here in my life.

The place looked really cool from the outside, though I only ordered take-out. I got the Reuben sandwich with potato wedges. The potato wedges were a nice portion, crispy and good. The reuben, while a bit greasy, was very tasty. I would definitely get it again. I'm told their breakfast is quite good. Also, the prices for everything are really fair.

A Friend and I had breakfast at Roxy this morning I had an omelet my friend ordered the corned beef hash . Both came with hash browns. My Omelet was fine. The hash browns were horrible ...cold and greasy. When I told the waitress about the problem, all she did was offer us more of the same. Reputable restaurants typically offer to take the charge for the unsatisfactory food off the bill. There was no reduction in our bill. I. for one, will never be back.

This was my first time on Roxys and I loved it. Had a great crab cake sandwich. My only complaint was that the bun was much bigger than the actual cake. Biting into the sandwich and I got a huge mouthful of bread. The service was also outstanding. I'd definitely recommend it.

Had breakfast here on a Wednesday. Rolled in around 9:00 so I think I missed the crowd as there were only a few other people in there besides me. Waitress was very friendly and the food was brought out quickly. Menu is far from extensive, maybe 15 or so breakfast dishes to choose from. I had the western scrambler (eggs, ham, potatoes, onions), sourdough toast, coffee and OJ. Bill was just over $9, so the price was right. I hear this place gets packed on the weekends, so plan ahead.

Went there on a sunday morning for breakfast..service was pretty good as was the food. Would definitely recommend esp if you want to support local restaurants. I got the veggie omelet with sourdough toast. It was deeelicious. Boyfriend got french toast which was really good too! Also very affordable.
