I usually love this place. The food is good and fresh. Today however my experience was pretty awful. We came in at 8:30 on a Wed. The door says they close at 10pm and yet the staff are aggressively slamming things around while cleaning up. I get it. The last hour is tough but you don't need to be rude blasting music, slamming chairs around and yelling at customers that you're closing. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional.

Terrible service, terrible food, my second and last time at the Pita Pit. Lettuce was brown, cucumbers were going rotten, lettuce and cucumbers should have been thrown away, not left in the serving containers. Employees standing around having a conversation, eating outside food, and messing around on cell phones. Done with this place.

I went at lunch time and it was rather crowded but the staff seemed to be ready for the challenge. I ordered the Philly Pita and it was delicious. The steak was high grade and well marinated. High marks and the perfect place for lunch. The only reason downside is the location as there is a lack of available parking.

I love the Pita Pit! It was always amazing back at MSU and I was so excited when I saw it arrive on 2nd St. How funny is it that this healthy food option went into the old location of The Spot? Anyway, I digress. I ate here today and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and helpful. The falafel was surprisingly good; decent falafel is hard to find in these parts. Husband had the chicken souvlaki and that was also to par. Here's the thing. It's "fast food", so it is what it is. But it's a fantastic healthy option amid a sea of ho hum bar food. You should go. At least to say you tried falafel and tzatziki and then explain to your less cultured friends what these delicious foods are.

I ate here once for lunch and I really like it! I ordered a chicken pita with spinach and mushrooms. I think it's a great place for lunch or something on the go. The prices are standard, no value menu prices, but decent for "upscale" fast food. It's not a place I would go all the time, but I will definitely go back for lunch sometime. Other menu items seem tasty.

I am glad to finally have a great place for some souvlaki and falafel. Honestly even if you are an avid meat eater give the falafel a try, it will not disappoint. I also enjoy the great selection of toppings and always load mine with the non traditional ones like sprouts and pineapple chunks. Also you'd be glad to know they are open late for the club crowd ;)

Buffalo chicken wrap is delicious. The place can get loud, but the food is good. Get there early if you can as I've heard that the line can get crazy! The day I was there it wasn't too bad. From noon to one p.m. the longest line was 5 people. It was Halloween though so I'm betting many people were still rubbing their bellies after binging on Halloween candy. They do have a kids menu for those folks in town with their wee ones.

Made my first trip to Pita Pit 2 weeks ago...it will not be my last. I had the turkey on wheat with loads of FRESH toppings, feta and the tzatziki was great. Service wasn't overly friendly, but they were attentive, quick and pleasant. I look forward to many more trips there. In fact, I believe I'll be trying the falafel this weekend.

Amazing food! Would definitely go back. Finally had a nice day out to walk around and go try this place. The previous reviews were spot on. I had the chicken souvlaki and the seasoning was fabulous. Quick service even though the line does begin to wrap about the building during lunch hour so be mindful of that! All of the ingredients were fresh - everything is made to order. Only downside is the minimal amount of seating available.

Terrible food, good service.... An animal house on weekend nights. I tried to use the bathroom and two drunk girls barged in and demanded to use the toilet while my pants were still down...the owner yelled at me for "causing a scene". POS, don't go here

I was pretty excited to hear this place was going in where the former "The Spot" was located. I decided to try it for dinner this evening and it was pretty disappointing. It seemed like some of the employees didn't know the menu options and weren't the friendliest. I ordered a gyro for myself, and a little ham for my son. $11 for the two of these. Since they just opened, I would assume they would treat everyone like it's their first time, but I was wrong. I had to ask for options and ask what sauces were available. The girl who made mine didn't know tzatziki sauce was and she told a girl that the bean sprouts were onions! I'm hoping that they'll improve considering it's only their first week open but I have my doubts.

This was the kind of place Harrisburg needed for a while. One that caters to all types and is fresh and fast. Places like these are a dime a dozen in mid to large sized cities so I think this Pita Pit franchisee did their homework here sensing an oppotunity. Seems like their work has paid off although I find their staff to be a little bit on the unpolished side. Their food is good, I recommend the falafel topped with feta and onion, of course tsatki sauce. You can pick the toppings you want and you see the meat or main dish slid right into your pita from the counter. I would say this is a great alternative to Subway if you get tired of their options and is the kind of place you would come to to sit and waste some time before heading off to a meeting or back to the office. Food is the best thing going here, the prices are a bit steep but they are plentiful with coupons around the city. Again staff could use some more professionalism, it looks like they hire artist types that do this to put food on the table-- they are engaging but not great at customer service.

This is my favorite place to eat lunch. I love, love, LOVE their pitas--the food is always fresh, they're pretty fast with getting the food ready and although the prices aren't super cheap, they're affordable. their falafal pita is amazing. The only drawback I have is that there's not a ton of seating. If you go during the week for lunch, it can get crowded in a hurry, so you may struggle to find a place to sit and eat lunch. Otherwise, it's great.

Perhaps the other reviewers went at a bad time. Had lunch here yesterday with my coworkers. It was delicious!! Got the Chicken Souvlaki with wheat pita, roasted red pepper hummas, garlic hummas, cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes, olives, feta cheese, and Tzatziki. The pita was perfect. Line was out the door by 12:30p.m.

The Harrisburg location says on the door that it opens at 10:30. On-line it says that it opens at 10:00. We showed up at 10:50 on a Saturday and it was closed. Finally, at 11:00 they opened the door--- not before smoking a cigarette outside and then walking in to take our orders. The pitas we got were actually very good! I got buffalo chicken with spinach, lettuce, and tomato. I wanted lettuce but it was not fresh so I went with spinach. Company really needs to check their hours located on various sources so that there is consistency.

Not bad. Harrisburg is like Philly Lite. When we walked in it had the feel of a Subway, down to the customize your toppings. Halfway through a 6 hour drive we wanted cheap and fast and that worked. The food quality ended up being better than expected. After a foolish Gyro order in Virginia we needed to get that taste out of our mouths. Success! I'm assuming this place is a chain. I hope to see a few pop up in New Jersey.

Used to eat here two or three times per week. Went there my last time the other day. The pittas keep getting smaller and smaller. I usually get spinach and tomatoes in with the meat selection. I counted this time. Seven spinach leaves and ten little bits of tomato. Really?!?

Worst pita I've ever had. Healthy? My order was made wrong and it just didn't taste good. Did nothing for me and neither of us wants to go back; was our worst meal in Harrisburg that weekend.

This was our first time at the Pita Pit. We were in town for the day. The staff was great and helpful. The stuffed pita was fantastic. Will definitely head back on our next time through Harrisburg.

Think I've been to this Pita Pit a handful of times & every time have been satisfied & very happy. Customer service is usually very good, they're fantastic about loading your pita with as many veggies as you want (& as a vegetarian, I appreciate that!), they make helpful suggestions when I can't decide on which sauce to try...and I never get anything but the falafel pita. Somehow they never screw up the falafel! It's never dry from overcooking or tasteless from under-seasoning. And the pita's huge! Easily a 2-meal pita but I'm sure we're all "face-stuffers" & eat it all right away - I know I do!

A great upgrade from "The spot", I really enjoy coming here and I very much love that they are open till 3AM Fridays and Saturdays. I started out with the Chicken crave as a favorite, followed by the prime rib. However after I tasted the chicken souvlaki I was hooked on that as my favorite. That, with a little horseradish Dijon, and ancho chipotle sauces is one of the best late night drunk foods there is

I eat lunch here fairly frequently. Its healthy, clean and fast. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, they don't seem to mind when I'm joined by my 23 lb terrier mix. In fact, one time they gave her a little to go box of scraps! Needless to say, she looooves Pita Pit. My only gripe is it's kind of pricy, and the rewards program takes forever to get a free pita, even when you're a regular. The price isn't unreasonable for the quality and speed of service, but definitely a deterrent for some people compared to Subway or Neato Burrito.

At here while on jury duty. Meh. Ok, but for the calories, I'd rather go to Neato Burrito up the street.

Superior pita technology. As a vegetarian, it is a blessing to have this place so close by. Great quality and value.

Was driving through on a post-bar Saturday night on Fallback Sunday, Halloween weekend. Felt hungry as I usually do after having some drinks so thought we'd check out Harrisburg 2nd Street for some late night eats. After passing up a few other almost equally attractive selections, my buddy and I decided Pita Pit was the chosen one. On a month-to-month basis, I do not eat sandwich wraps. It is likely, that, one would compare Pita Pits offerings to a sandwich wrap. While they have similarities, my taste buds and I felt that a "Pita" was something different. They have a nice selection on the menu and their meats are cooked up on the grill. After the meat is ready, it is topped on the pita which is prepped on a counter similar to a Subway Sub shop--where your pita is topped with your choice of veggie, sauces, and cheeses. Since what we really wanted was to drive to Philly for subs at 3am, but would be way to tired to make it home if we did that; we ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Pita with Double Meat. While the taste was impeccable and toppings stuffed to the limits, the double meat seemed like a partial meat, and then the pita themselves were the old-fashioned grocery store style with the pockets not the more authentic ones I've tasted from Mediterranean and Persian restaurants. We ordered three double meat pitas, a hummus, and two drinks came out to $33, which we felt was high for what we received, not what we nominally ordered. Would I come back again? Hmmm...I'll probably try the neighbors first then come back here again.
