This location is closed - for good. I always enjoyed stopping here on my lunch - a great little spot in downtown Harrisburg. Now I will have to settle for one of their other locations for random dinners since they don't have a downtown location. Sad to see them go.

I visited Neato Burrito during a recent day-trip to Harrisburg for a conference. The restaurant is small and has limited seating, but there seemed to be enough seats to handle the crowd. We arrived on the early side, but as the crowd picked up we (along with some others) were leaving, so no one seemed to be left without a spot. The place was pretty sparse in furnishings and was a little cold feeling, atmosphere-wise. I liked that there were a lot of options when it came to customizing your burrito, but I went with one of the specials that day -- the Cowboy Crunch. I actually liked almost everything about it. It was ample in size and the ingredients tasted fresh. My only complaint was that the BBQ sauce used on this burrito was very sweet -- it seemed like a burrito on which I would have expected something smokier and spicier. My husband had the Chick in a Thai burrito and he was pleased with his choice as well. Certainly not traditional Mexican flavors owing to the addition of peanut sauce marinated chicken and a banana/macadamia nut salsa, but it was pretty tasty. It wasn't what I expected because the banana salsa was on the sweet side, but it definitely worked. Overall a good experience at Neato Burrito and worth checking out if you're in the -Burg.

Overview: Awesome local place to grab a hearty burrito/bowl! Food: The food is very good! I had a chicken burrito bowl with their regular chicken and it was very moist and flavorful. The toppings were generous as well! My one complaint is that the Spanish rice is actually rather bland, but the toppings make up for that. My boyfriend had their Cowboy Crunch burrito, which is massive and full of deliciousness! Recommend: Everything they have is a good option! But I would get one of the other rice options instead of the Spanish. Atmosphere: It's small inside, with a few booths, tables and a counter to eat at. During mealtimes it can get packed easily. Everything is clean. Service: The staff are really nice and very efficient!!!

Slightly better than Taco Bell but Not as good as Chipotle. I have no idea what all the craze is about with this place. It wasn't bad but it was nowhere near as good as other burrito places I've been. The service is OK and the prices are average as well. I won't be back... Sorry!

I used to hate burritos. Until Neato Burrito changed my mind. This place is hands down the best burrito place in Central PA, possibly ever, but I can't be sure yet. Their angus beef is seriously so delicious I could never stray from it. I ended up usually with burrito bowls, but the herb-garlic tortilla is so yummy that every now and then I bothered to get an actual burrito. Their food quality is amazing, their service is fast and easy, and its a quick place to get in and out for lunch.

Great Mexi place in who'd believe it, Harrisburg, PA. Pricing similar to Chipotle but way more options. Beer infused rice, Awesome !! Tortillas are unique and flavorful and again, so many options. Indoor and outdoor seating if that's your thing. Nice service from friendly folks. This So-Cal native will be back. Nice job.

It is only through my growing addiction to these burritos that I can articulate how amazing the food is at Neato Burrito. I've worked in downtown Harrisburg for almost 20 years and only recently began going here for lunch. If I had a time machine, I would change this. THAT GOOD. The ingredients are perfect. Not only are the vegetable and meats of the best quality, there is never a tomato stem, lettuce stalk or fatty piece of meat to be found. Only the best parts of the best ingredients are used. It is obvious that they care about what is being served to customers. Everything is seasoned very well. The beef is as good as any home cooked roast and the chicken is as moist and flavorful as a Thanksgiving turkey. I can't speak to the authenticity of the flavoring of the Cajun chicken, but I can tell you that it's one of the best "spicy" chickens that I've had. The staff is friendly and helpful. I felt like I was being treated as a regular on my second visit.

Mmmm neato burrito. Friendly service. I love the salsas of the day. They are usually great! Like jalapeño and feta. The meat is good. There are different flavored tortillas which is cool. Delicious!

On par with Chipotle and Qdoba for taste but a little cheaper. Great place to grab lunch. The only downside is that you walk around with a burrito baby in your belly the rest of the day.

Yup, as the star suggests i am fan of this place. Cute servers and good food, what else can i ask for. Best tip: ask for chips when you are asking for burritto bowl.

I wanted a tofu burrito so badly and I heard that neato was the stuff legends. I walked in, saw their simple menu, and uh ... no tofu. Gasp! Are you serious? This is a burrito place right? I mean, Moe's, the chain restaurant (which I'd rather not support) always has a very delicious tofu on hand. I sighed and got a black bean burrito with brown rice. Yes, it was delicious, but I had an itch that needed to be scratched. Oh well.

I came here a few years ago and hope that it is still going strong. I have yet to find a place that serves a BIGGER burrito, period. I don't even remember if it was that yummy because what stays with me to this day is the girth of this puppy. It had to weigh a pound maybe two? I was so flabberghasted that I took a pic of a half eaten one (which would be the size equivalent of a regular size burrito anywhere else). If my memory serves me correct, it is made to order so you can ask for as many fix-ins as you like. (Maybe this is why my burrito was mammoth - tee hee hee.) I don't remember too much about the details of this place or the service. I am judging this place purely again on the burrito size and the fact that it reminded me of mom & pop burrito spots in my college days in Boston. Peep the pix.

I HEART YOU, NEATO BURRITO!!!! I NEED YOU IN NYC, PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE WITH GUACAMOLE ON TOP!!!!! *ahem* So. Yes. I like Neato Burrito alot. The ingredients are fresh. The burittos are HUMUNGOUS!!!!! You can (and probably should) make two meals out of one. I like the buffalo meat buritto the best. I also love mixing up my choice of tortilla. I love the friendly and diverse staff. I love the little surprised baked goods they have at the register. I HEART YOU, NB!!!!

Loved this place when we visited. Not your typical type of burrito, it is very unique, with such things like BBQ sauce inside of your burrito. If I lived closer I would be a frequent customer.

Not very busy for a Saturday night, but the employees were very friendly and carried on polite conversation. The menu has many choices and I did feel nickel and dimed for each part of my burrito. But the entire burrito was about $7.50. That being said, the Cajun chicken was excellent and the wrapped burrito was larger than most competitors (chipotle or qdoba). My burrito did fall apart 2/3 of the way through my meal. The outdoor atmosphere was nice, although you can choose to sit inside at bar stools. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would definitely go back and recommend to others.

This place is a very cute. The interior is comfy and the atmosphere is welcoming. The burritos are well sized and priced. You get a good bit of food for your money. Definitely one of the better burritos I've ever had. I wish I lived in the area because I'd definitely be back!

Very average. The meat was very dry and the rest of the ingredients had little flavor

Hipsters making big burritos. Its a match made in heaven. The best, most filling lunch in downtown Harrisburg.

Tried the Neato Burrito downtown location and was pleased with the quality of food, location is neato as well being right on the main 2nd Street strip. This place can get busy and again no credit cards (huh?). Nice spot for lunch, expect to pay around $7 but yes these burritos are the size of your face. Cool variety of hot sauces, I can respect that.

Offers a great atmosphere, affordability, and, best of all, a really great burrito. You're able to pick anything that you want on your burrito, so you're able to craft the meal you want. They have some suggestions and recommendations, but you should get creative and make something you really love! The burritos are huge, which is a great value. Also, the staff are really cool. I'll be going here very often.

The burrito that originally turned me on to the burrito. This place broke into the burrito craze way back before it even existed on the east coast...I know, right...Harrisburg?! I started going here after school in high school when they were at their original and only location in downtown Harrisburg. Gotta love the retro decor with all the vintage furniture and wall art...it's not surprising that they then found a location right next to the funky vintage store Checkered Past in New Cumberland. I love all the healthy options, especially the buffalo burrito...no no, not some lame version of buffalo wing sauce on a burrito...the meat! They have great vegetarian options as well. Burritos are big, so come hungry. Neato Burrito has stood the test of time and is still one of the best burritos I've ever had.

Good food, great people, fast service. I ate here on the way back to CT from spring break in DC. So I went here. The menu is simple yet customizable. I ordered a burrito bowl (maximize the good stuff) with brown rice, chili beans, hummus, cheese, and salsa. I highly recommend getting the vegan beer chili - it's like a flavor explosion! If I ever go back to Harrisburg, this place will probably be a stop.

If you could take the sensation of your first sex session and put it in a burrito, this would be it. It's so big that you struggle to put your whole mouth around it. Once you do, the juices flow down your chin and the spices make you moist. Jenna is with you through the whole process ready to extend a delicate hand and see to a happy ending.

Wonderful for downtown lunch. The burritos are huge...a definate two-hander...and you can make them any way you want. (I think Subway took their ordering style from Neato!) It is great that you have a choice of wraps and they have meatless and carnivore varieties. By the end of the line I am surprised they can get it closed. You can't get it any fresher or any more personalized. The atmosphere is retro fun and they play very interesting music you don't hear at any other restaurant. Wonderful. Warning...if you eat it all, you may fall asleep at your desk!

Awesome burritos! I've wanted to try them for awhile, but I am most often in Harrisburg on Sundays, and they're not open on Sundays. So when i needed dinner on a Saturday evening, I was so excited to try Neat Burrito. I wasn't disappointed. My whole family ate a burrito. One burrito is SO filling, you can barely eat the whole thing.

Great food. Went there first time for lunch and for $6ish you get a huge burrito with steak and other fancier meats. Great service and quick too. Definitely will go back. Only problem is they have very small seating so if you hit the lunch crowd you aren't eating inside.

I spent several weeks in Central PA last summer and this place and their awesome burritos made me happy. They had a lot of unconventional combos that some burrito purists might turn their noses up on, but I really appreciated the freshness and tastiness of the ingredients. I remember really liking their Cowboy burrito. How can you go wrong with bbq sauce, chicken, ranch and tortilla chips? You can't!

I'm with Vanessa and Kelly on this one, Neato Burrito is awesome!! I work nearby and stop there for lunch at least once a week. It still boggles my mind how they fit so much tasty goodness into one delicious flour tortilla. The burritos are massive and if I eat a late lunch I can usually get by with a light dinner! I've eaten at other similar mission-style burrito joints, and Neato has it perfected. The design and decor is simple and attractive, and the staff are generally quick, friendly, and know what they're doing. Keep up the good work, neato, and save a cowboy crunch for me!

This is the same review as the others cause it has the same food. Bit of a different atmosphere here though. It is nice to eat on the barstooIs in the front window and people watch. I ate at neato all through college, and every burrito place since has failed to live up to its standards. You pick everything from the tortilla, to the meat, veggies, sauce, cheese, rice, etc. You move down the line like at subway. And the burrito is ginormous.

HORRIBLE food. They took a burrito and ruined it. I mean they need to go with me to anywhere in the Southwest so that they can learn how to heat up a tortilla. Terrible! Terrible! How could they mess something up that is so easy?

wannabe Chipotle. Wasn't that impressed with the food. The meats are definitely not on par with Chipotle's. The rice is overwhelming and I didn't particularly like the salsa either. Atmosphere is so-so, pretty cafeteria style, but they could have done more with it. Wouldn't shell out $5+ again unless its Chipotle

One of the best lunch spots in downtown! Think Subway, but in burritos. Huge portions, one is definitely more than enough for a meal. Tons of choices, craft it how you like it. Great, fun atmosphere with cheap prices.

Had I never eaten a burrito before, This place might have received more stars. But having dined on Mexican Food prepared by cooks with Latino last names, I must say that the burrito I had today was one of the blandest ever made. We had no Idea that their use of the word spicy was a code name for Flavor. Maybe our expectations are a little high having spent three years in Southern California where Burrito Shops outnumber Starbucks. My Bison Burrito had no zing to it at all. My wife had the Verde Sauce and even her sensitve palate was left searching for any taste at all. Potions were decent but it just meant more bad food to eat. The scream fest speed metal music was nonstop from when we entered to when we left. Hard to have a conversation when you feel that you are trapped in a Gwar concert. We will give it another chance since there are limited options that we know about, but very disappointing overall.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
