A bit pricey but the Grilled Chicken & Avocado on Herb Focaccia was very tasty. Started off with a zucchini and Parmesan soup which was excellent. Service was also good / unobtrusive. Will go back to try additional menu items.

Food is good but super slow. Bring your check book and don't have an appointment lined up after. Nice atmosphere good for a nice long date as long as you can sustain a long long conversation and time for all the alcohol to ware off because you sat so long you drank two bottles of wine.

Highline is Greencastle's fancy restaurant. That's pretty much all you need to know. There's nothing wrong with this place; it's a perfectly fine, ordinary fancy restaurant. You know: pricey, but nice. I've been there three times and the food was very good; the lamb special I had last time was outstanding. If you're super into food, don't expect much in the way of surprises or revelations, but this is a great choice for people in the area who want to mark a special occasion with an elegant meal.

Excellent...but at this price point, cloth napkins are expected. That's really my only complaint, it's a bit tacky and not expected from an establishment which is trying to convey a higher standard. Food is excellent, service is getting better. Definitely worth the trip. I'd recommend the pork chop, crab cake and/or the Reuben. The French onion soup is good also. Frederick feel in tiny Greencastle. BUT please class it up and spend some money on real napkins; you should know better!

The food was great especially the Crab Cake service was prompt and the deserts were outstanding. It was a little chilly so take a sweater.

Love it. Great fresh food, awesome beer selection, friendly servers, and the occasional train...a treasure near home!

It was so disappointing!! Nice atmosphere cute decor... But if I'm paying that kind of $$ the food has to be legit!! Not impressed at all I would prefer and recommend jhon allison house!!

Took an elderly friend to lunch there. They had a party and were busy. We had to wait for our food a long time. They sat us in the enclosed porch, it was a cool blustery day. Was quite chilly for my friend. When our waitress asked if we wanted desert, I asked her if we could split a complimentary piece of pie for waiting so long. She said she would have to check. She finally came back with our check. When asked again about it she said didn't have a chance to ask because mgr was very busy. If we were going to have to wait so long in a chilly room, it would have been nice to be offered a cup of coffee or tea. Food was ok, not outstanding for the money.

Beautiful space in all aspects. The owner greeted me at the door and took me on a tour before searing in the beautiful bar. The craft beer selection is awesome and just big enough for this small town. The mushroom soup makes me wanna curl up to a fire and nap...it's amazing. The lunch menu, however, is a bit plain. Not many options. Only sandwiches and salads...needs expansion. But otherwise, I'm impressed. Lets see what dinner has to offer. I'll be back...

Visiting the area and our friend recommended this as her favorite place. She was right. I had the best pork chop I have ever had in a Restuarant. My wife had the best stuffed chicken breast and our friend had the crab cakes. This was after the mushroom bisque and the brie crab artichoke dip. But wait, there's more! We had coffee with chocolate cake with peanut butter icing. The food was amazing, professionally prepared and the presentation was perfect. Great flavors and excellent service. We might move here from Arizona to be closer.....

Crabcakes were delicious with very little filler! Wait staff was attentive and funny! On the covered patio, expect to get rattled a bit by the frequent trains! Not a bad thing, just different... We'll be back!

Excellent - great food, great service. Funky little converted house right on the railroad tracks (active tracks, too - we had a train go past during our meal). This is a "don't miss" place in Greencastle/Hagerstown -

Meal looked like it was a high end frozen dinner. Even though it tasted good. The help leaves a lot to be desired, ordered a cup of soup that never arrived but they tried to bill for a bowl. Credit to the owner for their efforts in apologizing for the gaffe. I'm used to not getting my soup but I like this establishment. Hope they succeed but it will not be at my dime. At least not for a while.

I'm originally from Chambersburg, but now live between DC and Baltimore. I was in town for a family function. I would have expected this level of restaurant to be in the DC/Baltimore area. I was so pleasantly surprised by the decor, food, drinks, and service. I had the fish tacos and they were phenomenal. The sauce was spot on. Others in our group had the crab cake, turkey breast panini, hummus dip, and sweet potosi fries. Everything got fave reviews. The wine list was extensive and the sever knowledgeable. We had a large group, and our sever attended the group well, but allowed us to have our space to chit chat. He struck a great balance. The decor was modern, with a touch of rustic chic. I can't believe that this is in downtown Greencastle. What a great find!

Make reservations ! A must go ! I took my wife on valentines day and wow was she pleased with my choice for dinner. We both got the chicken cordonbleu which was perfectly amazing. Heather our server was engaging and fun to have at our table. The owner checked on us and was very mindful of our comfort by adjusting the shades to block the early evening sun. The best choc/peanut butter layer cake I have ever eaten. Clean and well appointed a real find for the small town of Greencastle.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Greencastle, and we have some good ones. Very high quality ingredients, including tuna salad made from a fresh albacore filet, grass-fed steaks, and house made dressings and sauces. The soups are a highlight, especially for lunch, and the sandwiches are huge and delicious. The dinner entrees are also high quality and plentiful. And catch this - British ex-pats come here for the fish and chips! I do wish they would work on developing some larger meal size salads instead of side salads you can top with protein. This, and the hit or miss waitstaff are the only reasons I rate them one star instead of two. This is a unique, beautiful, fun place to be. The food is fresh and the servings are generous. The trains going by add a very nice, distinct ambiance. Great for indoor and outdoor dining, and super for happy hour drinks, a business lunch, or an evening out.

Have made three visits to the Highline Coffeehouse and Cafe since it opened and we are sure to return. Their signature turkey sandwich at lunch is just plain awesome. Nice atmosphere, good service (although not that fast), good food. Note drinks are limited - no liquor license so you may want to BYOB. They have a small bottle service charge - I think it was $3.75. Definitely worth a visit when you are in Greencastle.

Great food, but the owner is a total B. She doesn't know anything about wine, but she sure thinks she does. Place could be a lot better if she would show a little humility and class. Don't attempt to run a restaurant if you can't interact with customers.

Food good, new bar/lounge is cold, noisy, and uninviting. Ask to be seated in the old section.

Recently had dinner with the folks here and it was pretty meh. The pricing suggests that I should expect a high quality meal, but that was not the case: -The crabcake felt like it had spent some time in the freezer -The salad, although delicious and well-prepared, was small and cost extra -The kicker was the "creme" brulee, which was really just vanilla pudding-- An insult to my palate and wallet at $8. The temperature of the restaurant was freezing. The service was slow af. Lots of room for improvement, Highline!

It's hard to review anywhere (especially finer dining) when the service is bad. Time after time I said it couldn't get worse but it proved me wrond. They really need a service manager and some manner standards. On to the food; here we had one great shrimp ravioli dish and one petite fillet that tasted like it came from Hosses... an over cooked steak soaked in creme and the potatoes were fried to a crisp. The baked potatoe they brought as a replacement was awkwardly sweet. Then when it was all done we sat and waited more as servers just passed us by.
