Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. Very impressed with the cleanliness, wIt staff and especially the food. Had the Stromboli. Excellent. Their sauce is wonderful. Great place to eat right off of I81 Frackville exit. Highly recommend!

I've never had a bad meal here. The shrimp and crab fondue is to die for. The bruschetta is delish. Salad always very fresh. True Italian! Love it :)

Used to be one of my favorite restaurants in the area. There is not many good options around here when going out to eat. Used to go here around 2-3 times per month. However last visit I got an eggplant parm which was really dry. I asked for some sauce for it and that's all it needed. Got the bill and they charged 1 dollar for the tablespoon of sauce! Big turn off for me. I will not be back unless I am desperate. It's a shame because when a restaurant nickels and dimes like that and to someone who goes often it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth :(

My family and I were driving back to Washington, DC from Scranton and couldn't wait the hour drive to Harrisburg to get some eats. So we just got off the exit and took our chances in Frackville. I am SO GLAD we did! I was a little nervous when I got off the highway. But, this place was easy to spot on the main road, and had a banner that shouted out "HOMEMADE BREAD." I had to STOP and check it out. It was GREAT PIT STOP. What I liked: 1. handicap accessible for my disabled aunt 2. clean 3. GREAT FOOD 4. reasonable prices 5. attentive and friendly service We had onion rings and calamari to start. Both DELICIOUS! For main meals we had EGGPLANT PARM sandwich, Chicken PARM sandwich and Philly cheesesteak. EVERYTHING was YUMMY! good sized portions. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

In a small town that has hit very hard economic times, it is nice to find a little Italian restaurant that provides decent food at a decent price. There is a nice selection of dinners, pizza, cal zones, hot and cold sandwiches. Beer and wine are reasonably priced to boot! I had the lasagna and my bro-in-law the Cal zone, and a pizza for the others. It was all very tasty - and I'd order the lasagna and Cal zone in a heartbeat. I wouldn't order the side salad again, it was very weak. I give it a three with consideration of the geographical area. a two if it where in a big city.

A surprising diamond in the rough! I was surprised by how good the food was here- all homemade, rich Italian food. The prices are a little high for the area. Entrees are in the $10-$15 range, which seems excessive for this small town.

I stopped with a group on a road trip. We really enjoyed the food and the service was very nice. The service was prompt, but we were never rushed and offered everything we needed. I had pizza, which was excellent and others from the group had entrees that they all enjoyed. I'd stop again any time I have the chance.

Super nice people, quick service, and excellent food. The eggplant parmigiana sub was a big ol' bargain at $6.99, and I'm told the arabiatta sauce was not wimpy in the spice department. Frackville might be out of the way and somewhat unfortunately named, but I would go back there. The O.I.P. Is a gem.

I will never go back to this place. The last time I ate their, the owners were rude, brought out something I didn't order and got rude when I said I was unhappy with it. Food overall was good but I would rather spend my money with people that treat you right.

Let's start with this is my very first review on yelp and I use yelp all the time. We stopped in our RV.. Took up one parking space In their lot I might add.. Not a sole in the restaurant only us it was 4:30pm. As we were starting to order they told us we could not park in their parking lot and we had to leave.. They would not serve us and they were pretty dang rude! I would not step foot in this restaurant or recommend this place to anyone! I myself am a small business owner and would never treat a customer as we was treated there.

Who would have thought you could get an excellent espresso in Frackville? We did from a friendly woman from Palermo at the Original Italian. We are looking forward to the pizza and other dishes here that, we bet, are just as good and Italian.

Sometimes, when you travel into the country, it's hard to find food that isn't deep fried or served at a buffet. It's also sometimes hard to find coffee that hasn't been sitting on a burner for two hours or isn't Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts. So when you find a place, you store it in your memory banks. This is such a place. Great sandwich and espresso. Real Italian in the heart of PA! It's about a mile off of 81, but the next time I'm passing through, I'll definitely go the extra mile.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
