I can't comment on anything but the food, but it is excellent, at least what I ordered. The mole that was covering my encalada was something special. The fresh salsa was nice and fresh, and very flavorful. The chips where pretty good as well, thick enough to hold salsa, but still really crunchy. I think I found a jem 5 minutes from my house. There is nothing bad I can say about my experience. You have try this place.

Went here last week, not for the first time, but it had been years. We just wanted a quick lunch, so we ordered a variety of a la carte items. The chalupa was good - their ground beef/taco mixture was really good. Guacamole was pretty good, and tasted fresh. Same with the salsa, although it had no heat to it. Chips were fresh and tasty. But the reason I wouldn't go back is the refried beans. I always get these as a side, and was shocked when they were runny - yet many of the beans were still tough. It puzzles me how a Mexican restaurant can mess up refried beans, but they did. Other items were fine, but overall it is not as good as El Canelo in New Castle, or El Paso in Beaver Falls.

El Toro is a small Mexican restaurant neighbouring the Zelienople Airport. The food is a little bland, but it's nothing that a little habanero sauce can't fix. It's a favourite because of it's proximity, but I wouldn't recommend it to out of town visitors.

I stopped by here a couple of Fridays ago with 9 other coworkers for lunch. We had made reservations beforehand and they were ready for us when we got there with a couple of tables already pushed together. The inside of the restaurant wasn't too much to look at with a hostess area whenever you first walk in with signed pictures of some famous people including Sid Bream sliding into home plate as a Brave in 1992. Beside that is the main dining room area which had a number of tables as well as large windows that you could watch the Zelionople airport through. The table that I was sat at ended up having a large air bubble underneath the laminate which made placing things on it interesting. As a matter of a fact it almost resulted in one of my dining companions spilling her water. For my lunch entree I decided to go with the el torro burrito with chicken and then added a ground beef chalapa as a side. For having such a large paarty here the waitresses ended up doing a pretty good job of taking our orders and keeping our water glasses and chip baskets filled. One nice thing about this restaurant is that they give you free chips and salsa. The salsa was pretty bland and watery for my tastes so I ended up eating a number of the chips with some hot sauce on them. After only a short wait our food arrived. I dug into my chalupa first and after my first bite the shell cracked resulting in about half of it falling onto my plate which I was forced to eat with a fork. The chalupas taste ended up being ok but I am not so sure that I would order it as my side again. After finishing the chalupa I dug into my burrito. It was also decent and I enjoyed the chicken in it although I would still prefer the fresh taste of a Qdoba or Chipotle to it. The bottom line for me is that I would probably stop by here again in the future. While it clearly wasnt even close to the most mind blowing Mexican food that I have ever eaten, it was passable and I don't know that there are many other choices nearby.

My family loves Mexican food. My boys love watching air-planes take off, we drive by on the way back from Mass each Sunday, but, somehow we only recently discovered this place. It is now a part of our weekly routine. Great food! Good Prices, a pleasant staff. Highly recommended. Use the extra money left over from the good prices on a tip for these very hard-working waitresses.

El Toro is a stone's throw away from my childhood home and an absolute staple for every holiday visit. I've heard general complaints that everything tastes the same, but this isn't a problem for me as I only order the fajitas - delicious every time. Enjoy the free, homemade chips and salsa, and come during a weekday to save a few bucks on the lunch menu. Then put those extra dollars toward the tip for the lovely waitresses that have been serving here for years.

Mediocre Mexican food, run down atmosphere. The floor of the men's room is actually squishy, like there has been a long term water leak. No liquor license, so no margaritas. I wouldn't recommend El Toro to anyone.

Hands down, the best mexican food around. The owners are awesome and their chips and salsa are on point.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
