The Fleetwood Grille is a small, separate bar at the back of Simmeria. I wish they had their own website because the atmosphere and concept are dramatically different than the Simmeria restaurant. The menu is mostly sandwiches, salads and wraps, but the food is a cut above typical bar food. Especially interesting to me is that there are several tasty vegetarian and vegan items available. My curry tofu wrap was tasty, and the firecracker tofu wrap was hot and different (a wing sauce base). The hand-cut fries and chips that came with our wraps were fresh. The chips were crispy. Tofu fries are also on the menu, and on my list of things to try for next time. The space is small, but comfortable. Today's bartender was friendly and outgoing. He was knowledgeable about the beers, and there were over 30 on tap, as announced on the ever-changing chalkboard lists. Outside is a cabana bar tucked in the space between the buildings. I'd like to see it at night, because there are strings of lights in the trees and several fire pits. There are several TVs at the bar, all tuned to sports on the Saturday afternoon of my visit. While I'm not a fan of TVs in a bar, the volume was low, so it was not distracting to me. Overall, I'm happy to have found this little gem in Fleetwood, PA. It's worth a visit for the uniqu

French toast was delicious and well presented. Coffee is good, atmosphere quiet on a Sunday morning with the sunshine

It's unfortunate that I am only giving this place 3 stars because it probably deserves more, but I am rating my experience... We ate here late Sunday night with friends. We decided to sit outside. The patio is really cute. I love the bistro tables and the fact that they have heaters. Inside it seems small but intimate. The biggest problem of the night was service. We ordered 2 apps, only one came out until after the entrees were out. But when the cheese fries came out, boy were they yummy!!! Their BBQ is really yummy too!! I ordered the tofu wrap with firecracker (or something like that) sauce. The wrap was not very good. The sauce on the tofu was very, very salty. I felt that I needed lettuce or veggies in the wrap for contrast. Lastly, I thought that it needed ranch or blue cheese because it was similar to buffalo sauce. Everyone else at the table loved their meals. 2 got Cubans, one got brats. 2 orders dessert and said it was yummy. I tasted the chocolate moose and wow! The beer selection here is very good. The server did have a rough night and compensated us, which was a nice thing to do! We will definitely try this place again!!

I already left a review of Benchwarmers coffee on their Yelp page (which is what Simmeria carries.) For being a small rural town, this little café & bistro has it going on. Its a quiet place to read, hangout with friends, or even do work on your computer. They have free wifi!! Everytime I go into Simmeria, they have a smile to greet me with!! Fresh coffee and great food!! Try the french toast or crepes (along with their amazing coffee!!) You certainly wont be sorry.

Awesome food and generally pleasing experience for a seemingly uncultured area. We arrived in search of a "non-diner fare" breakfast mere minutes after their change over. Before we could really decide, Jeff (our waiter) asked if we could still get breakfast. The cook approved - a great sign that our service was important to them. I got Brioche French Toast - excellent classic flavor, golden brown to perfection. My date got a 2 eggs over medium with potatoes - all very pleasing and presented very well (wouldn't seem like a big deal but Berks can't seem to master the "medium" part). The coffee was superb, as you can expect from a cafe/bistro. Jeff was beyond accommodating, very personable, and extremely friendly. Not a 5-star experience, but a solid 4. Will be returning soon!

***One star is generous for the experience we just had...*** We had by far the worst experience at this restaurant... And on Mother's Day! We made reservations for 10-12 of us to all be together for Mother's Day... 5 mothers... 3 generations. First of all, we arrived at this establishment at 11:30am. There were a few tables sat outside and an empty bar and dining area. Our table was not ready upon arrival. We were more then happy to wait as the wait staff prepped a table however a temporary seat should have been made available to my 90 year old grandmother. After a 20 min wait... We were sat. As the hostess gave us our menus we were made aware that they only were serving breakfast... On Mother's Day? Maybe we should have been made aware of this when we called to make reservations. None the less, we decided to stay. Let me start this section by saying that our server was a VERY VERY sweet server who was put in a very awkward position. Although she was admittedly not familiar with the breakfast menu, she was a nice and apologetic person who became the messenger for the cowardly management . Before we began, she let us know that several menu items, out of maybe 10 total items, were not available. As our experience continued, several additional basic breakfast menu items became unavailable. About 20-30 min into our wait for BREAKFAST, our server let us know that they were now out of yogurt. My 2 year old now had NOTHING to eat on the menu so my brother-in-law and I had to drive home to pick up yogurt and applesauce. This gave us time to cool off and kill time. We had hopes that we would come back to a full table of food only to be let down by an additional 30-40 min wait. At the completion of our meal of dry, flavorless food, we asked to speak with the owner or manager. The arrogant owner dressed in shorts, a t-shirt, and sandals, very un-professional, came out to speak to us with EVERY excuse in the book. He apologized for our experience being less than desirable and followed it up with "I hope your food was at least satisfactory". When we told him that it was FAR from satisfactory, he threw his hands up and said that he didn't know what we wanted him to do. He then gave us a condescending and sarcastic "Happy Mother's Day" and walked away leaving us with baffled looks on our faces and a server in tears. We will never visit or recommend this establishment again! Thanks for nothing Simmeria and a very HAPPY Mother's Day to you!

The Fleetwood Grille is a place worth finding. Awesome food. Awesome beer. Awesome live music. The outside patio is perfect to relax and have a drink and listen to some great local band. The bar inside has comfortable bar stools and a cozy atmosphere. Great beer selection on tap and the food is fresh and good. The homemade potato chips are to die for! Try the pulled pork; they have smoker out back. The waitstaff are great people and take the time to talk with you. Never rushed. Everything is done right here!! This is a MUST try for everyone!!

Welcoming ambiance and friendly service. The food was tasty (we ate breakfast), if a bit under-salted. I also appreciate their commitment to supporting local producers. My biggest qualm: ALL the coffee seems to be pour-over, even during breakfast service. This places a huge strain on the waitstaff and resulted in less-than-hot coffee by the time it arrived at our table. I understand the option of having pour-over coffee, but we would've been just as happy with drip coffee from an urn or percolator to speed things up a bit.

Upscale bistro dining in Fleetwood PA! Life just gets better every day. Simmeria is now vying for top position on my list of favorite Berks County Restaurants. It all came together just perfectly on the early fall evening that I visited Simmeria. We sat outside on the deck as it was the perfect night for dining al fresco. Not too hot, not too cold. Just right. I knew it was an auspicious sign of a great night when our server dropped a full glass of water right in front of us and not a drop touched either of us. The dinner menu contains a nice eclectic mix of items with a leaning towards the cucina italiana. The wine list is decent with a good selection of wines by the glass. We started with appetizers of calamari and seared tuna. The calamari was tasty, lightly breaded as it should be. The tuna was prepared perfectly and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this one. For my entrée I ordered one of the specials, but can't for the life of me remember what it was. I know that it involved sausage and bore a vague resemblance to a cassoulet. I remember that it was good. Very good. I suspect that my memory of the entrée is clouded as I was seriously distracted by the charms of the golden haired, blue eyed, Berks County beauty who was sitting beside me that evening. Now that I think about it, this restaurant might actually suck. I'd have no idea. I might have to go back alone just to verify. My date ordered the London Broil, also a special for that evening. It was as good as any I've had anywhere, possibly better. All in all, a great evening, great food in a romantic setting. And all in Fleetwood! Also, I've been told by a reliable source that the breakfast/brunch at Simmeria is outstanding. Five stars for Simmeria. It's well worth the drive to Fleetwood. Greg says check it out!

Simmeria: friendly service, generous drinks, relaxing music. The other side, the Fleetwood Bar and Grill, is a complete 180. The bartender made us feel like we were an inconvenience to her and she just wanted us to leave, at 8pm on a Sunday, even after we ordered at least $20 in drinks and 2 apps. Super unfriendly. If there was another bar in this town that wasn't a complete dump, we'd have spent our money elsewhere. We were the only two patrons there on a Sat night from dinner to close.

One very funny thing -- I actually saw the previous reviewer in the restaurant and recognized him from his picture and description of his dining companion -- and I saw him checking his Droid. Wow, far out Yelp moment. We have tried Simmeria twice due to them being on a coupon site and kindly having few restrictions. As vegans, we are always on the lookout for upscale spots to spend our money, not an easy feat in our area. Simmeria sits unexpectedly in a little town between Kutztown and Reading; how nice to see a stylish bistro popping up. Look for the Orioles building, but don't try the front entrance -- it's around the side. Major renovations must have been done to create an artsy interior with two main rooms, a bar area that seems filled with furniture and a bit crowded even when empty as well as an intimate more formal dining room with curtains separating the tables, nice touch. The bar is black and white marble and has a cool feature I love, hooks underneath for women to stow their bags. That lets us females know we are welcome! I have not tried their cocktails, but they seem oriented toward this, despite being open for breakfast and lunch and doing coffee and smoothies well. It takes a lot of time and staff to be open as much as they are. There is an outside deck which must be very nice in the summer. We were very excited that our server was vegan, and she guided us to the two vegan entrees on the menu: quinoa pasta and a grilled vegetable plate. Both were very large and decent, but I would advise them not to skimp on the spice and to try some more creative vegan dishes that would appeal to omnivores as well. They seem to have the talent in the kitchen, and the plate presentations were lovely. Wines by the glass are pretty good too, although one of four was a little oxidized. We should have said something, but I hate to be a pain when I am already asking so many food questions. There were no vegan desserts, but we came back another day for brunch. The baked oatmeal is twice as big as it looks and able to be made with soymilk, yummy with cranberries and raisins, and the smoothies were amazing. especially the berry one (what is with whipped cream on a pure-fruit drink though?). We also had the tofu wrap and the veggie bowl, and they made us some home fries that did not seem to be on the menu. I'd like to give this place 4 stars and will if there are more things I can eat -- many people will eat vegan/vegetarian if the dishes are creative, so try to avoid a pile of vegetables, pasta, or stir fries when you have creative chefs around. How about a veggie pot pie, a curry, or a veg shepherd's pie? I know you can do it, Simmeria, because you mention wanting to offer healthy food, so I look forward to seeing you grow.

This bistro is soooo amamzing!!! Love the breakfast. They have sooo many delicious different foods. Not to mention the owner Chuck, he is a very friendly guy and his staff takes right after him. I would highly recommend this place to everyone!

Went there expecting great food. I knew it was expensive but thought the food would be worth the price. DEAD WRONG. The food was overcooked, portions were small and price was high for what you got. Seems like they have a cook, not a chef. I would not recommend this place for dinner.

Great food, pleasant atmosphere, free wifi, a contributor to the community and they are expanding. Nuff said.

Recently opened, Simmeria focuses on quality over quantity - the dishes we had were filling, and tastefully presented. They have a full bar, including a comprehensive selection of wines and beers. The prices were a little above what you'd normally expect in this small town, but we found the atmosphere and quality dishes to be well worth the cost.

Great atmosphere. Excellent food and service. They started out right by serving herbed olive oil with the dinner rolls. Then I had french onion soup, followed by fillet mignon and green beans. The french onion soup was superb, and everything was cooked to perfection.

The Droid app for Yelp really does wonders. If it wasn't for the app, I would have never found this excellent place. There was something in a review about umm... what was it called... CARAMEL FRENCH TOAST?! and It had me at the word caramel :D So my daughter and I decided to check this place out. Inside, the place has two sections, one around the bar with plenty of windows with artwork all around. In addition there is an inside room, which seemed more formal. We decided to sit in the area around the bar. Our waitress, who was a very pleasant person, gave us our menus and the specials. My daughter and I didn't even got to open the menus because the specials looked so good! I decided on a dish that included: lamb chops, three shrimps, stuffed mussels and clams, and a huge stuffed mushroom with sauteed spinach. My daughter chose penne with shrimp and lobster sauce a la vodka. The lamb chops were a bit bland for my taste, as were the shrimps. But the clams and mushrooms were really good! My daughter's pasta was, in her words, "A-maayziiing." After trying each others dishes and wiping our plates clean, we decided to over indulge and ordered the thick, brioche french toast with Bavarian cream and caramel sauce, that we had originally came to eat. When the dish arrived, my daughter and I looked at each other in awe and after about ten seconds of admiration, we went for the kill. It was fun dipping the french toast in the caramel or the Bavarian cream and very soon that was wiped clean too. This place is far from where I live, but we both agreed to make it part of our visit to PA from here on.

We just moved to the area from D.C. and were thrilled to find this lovely little joint in Fleetwood. I have been here several times, for lunch, brunch, and dinner. The menu is great, service is excellent, and martinis rock! We will continue to keep this at the top of our list when going out in the area.

I love that we have a wonderful bistro right in town that also has great outdoor seating. My son and I go there for breakfast almost weekly. The French toast made with brioche bread is amazing. I love that they have turkey bacon since I don't eat pork and that is always a challenge for breakfast out. The fruit smoothies are yummy. Though there is no kids menu you can ask for most things in smaller portions. I think it is wonderful that the majority of their food is farm fresh to table. We have gone a few times for lunch and they have a lot of good specials which they often post on Facebook. Though be prepared since they use fresh ingredients and everything is made to order, if you are having a burger medium well it will take quite awhile. My husband and I have gone for dinner, too nice to bring the little one along, the food has always been very good and it is nice if we are out on a date night that the Fleetwood grille (owned by the same people) is attached so we can go over and relax after dinner with a few drinks and they also have an outdoor seating area. All in all this restaurant is one of my favorite places to go and it really is such a wonderful audition to Fleetwood!

This is a place I always feel bad about not going to more often. The Fleetwood Grill in the back is decent but has a limited menu - Simmeria is where it's at for me. The food is high quality, nicely portioned - you feel like you are having a fine dining experience. In particular I recommend the chicken. The service sometimes feels a bit slow but is always friendly.
