Visited longhorns last week. The steak was very well prepared and delicious. The restaurant itself seemed a little dark and dusty but the food was good. Little pricey but worth it

My first time here since I just moved into the West Chester area and YES I'M A FAN! I don't normally go to chain steakhouses and every time I drove by it, I thought of Lonestar or Texas Roadhouse (both terrible btw). But after eating here, it's obvious LongHorn blows the other two out of the water. They look cleaner and their food is better! Of course I yelped it first because I was about to go try On the Border right next door. I ordered the light portion (they have an under 500 calories menu for dieters/healthy folks) of their new grilled chicken with artichoke, mushroom, sundried tomatoes in a light creamy sauce. I know, I know, why in the heck would you order chicken at a steakhouse? Because I don't trust chain steakhouses to make very good steak. Plus it's an expensive risk to take, don't you think? You can never go wrong with cheap chicken. It was absolutely delicious, juicy, tender, with a few (but BIG) chunks of artichoke, tomato, and mushroom placed on top... Maybe I was starving after working out at the gym, but it was so good, I can still remember it. It was $11 and came with a side salad (really good raspberry vinaigrette) and side veggies. They had both quality and quantity, who doesn't like that? Also, I did freak out when I saw the small portion of chicken, but after eating everything (including free bread), I realized it was just the perfect amount.and was left satisfied. All under 500 calories, yay! The dude ordered steak medium rare with a naked loaded baked potato and side veggies. The potatoes were much better than regular mashed potatoes that look like they came out of a Betty Crocker box at other steakhouses. The steak was also better than we expected and cooked perfectly. He brought a nice piece of it home and microwaved it the next day for dinner. The steak was surprisingly STILL GOOD! They steak passed the leftovers test. So yes, we will both be back for more and next time, we'll get the Wild West Shrimp that another Yelper was talking about below.

i was in Malvern visiting friends, and we decided to trek to dinner. We went there on a Wednesday night around 7:00pm. There was no wait, and my party of three were immediately sat. We had friendly service, and warm bread (huge plus for my carb loving self). I ordered the Harvest Mushroom Filet medium well with broccoli and mac and cheese. It was cooked perfectly and juicy, and the mushrooms were perfect. However, the broccoli was slightly cold, but the huge portion helped me forgive the temperature. I would definitely go back.

Had last been here 1 year ago and had a great meal. This time the whole restaurant seemed to be off. Service was fairly slow, either seating even though we had a call-ahead, main course coming out, or follow-up to the meal. 4 of us had steak and none were cooked to the requested temperature (a mix of over and under). A real shame, Longhorn is usually much better than this.

Go at least twice a month due to work but I can honestly say in all the times there the food has always been excellent.Even when crowded you get seated rather quickly, and the waitress/waiter is always friendly(be foolish not to be though) A little drive from Brookhaven but well worth it.

The best stake I have had in years. The decor is terrific and the service is great and the portions are right on. I'll be back.

Usually there is nothing to talk about chain restaurants. Foods are consistent across locations. But this location taste a little better than others I tried. Also, one time, I had a 7 peppers steak salad for lunch. Half way thru, the manager said he saw the steak I had was not as hot as their standard. I didn't even notice because it was on a cold salad. It was not like congealed fat. I guess there was not steaming. Anyway, the manager brought out a sizzling steak for me. Sure, Longhorn may lost $8 at cost, but they won a customer who will go back and spread good words. Talk about direct advertising. :) BTW, I like this particular location before the above event happened.

Not the best steak I've ever had but pretty good for a national franchise. I had the prime rib and my guest had the outlaw ribeye. Both well seasoned with rub. Caesar Salade needs some work tho, too dry and need more dressing. I felt like a rabbit munching on it. We had a pretty cute waitress tho.

The frozen strawberry margarita I had was banging, small, but delicious. I always appreciate being able to taste the tequila in my margaritas, so two thumbs up. The appetizers were okay, nothing blew me away. The stuff portabella were very tasty if not calorie heavy because of the cheese and butter. The Firecracker Chicken Wraps were okay. Not spicy like I expected, and the filling left something to be desired. Meh. I ordered the bison burger which was supposed to be on Texas Toast. That was not Texas Toast. After eating half of one half, I was pretty turned off by the dryness of the meat and the overall lack of flavor that the cheese and onions failed to add to. When our wonderful server came over, I asked her if the bread looked like Texas Toast. Even she mentioned that it didn't look like it and would check. When she came back she informed me that that was LongHorn's version of Texas Toast, though she agreed that the thinness of the bread was something she wasn't used to. She did offer a free dessert since I didn't like me dish, as well as suggesting I get the priciest one since they're paying for it :P. I really appreciated that and did get the priciest, which was the delicious Chocolate Stampede. Definitely not for one person. We easily shared the dessert between 8 of us. The chocolate cakes (there are 2 huge slices) where delicious. Everyone else agreed that their meals were okay, nothing amazing, but a-okay. My brother, who graduated that day, was also given a free dish of ice cream which I thought was really nice. Overall an okay place to grab lunch. Wouldn't immediately come back, but would not be adverse to doing so if in the area again.

Texas Tonion was good! Other than that everything was just ok...hostess brought only 3 menus for 5 ppl, said she was coming back with other menus and never came back =\ attentiveness to customers kinda lacking...

Haven't been here in a while, so we decided we would go here for a good dinner. I would highly recommend doing call ahead, as there is almost always a wait here. The prime rib here is very good, as is the filet (flo's filet). We also got the chips and dip, which is a good appetizer. Our server was very nice, and helpful as well. I enjoy coming here, and will be in the future. I would recommend coming here if you aren't quite sure we're to go yet.

Longhorn has a very friendly staff. They are always very busy especially on Friday and Saturday nights. If you are looking for something simple but phenomenal, go for the chicken tender platter. Best chicken tenders I have had in a long time and the honey mustard is outstanding. The only reason I didn't give this place a 5 star rating is because their prices are higher than other steakhouses we have been to before. Their fried shrimp appetizer is also excellent.

This was one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. We made reservations for a large group in advance, arrived early and we had to wait for OVER AN HOUR for them to tell us that they could not seat us together. At 9:30 PM we had to try and find a new restaurant that could accommodate a group of 15. There was no apology from management, no recognition of a problem in accommodating a large party. I was appalled. I've never been to a Longhorn Steakhouse and I certainly will not return.

This is what you'd expect from a chain. Pretty good steaks, although too much salt hiding low quality beef. But it's in line with the price. Good for families and kids.

I always have a good meal here. Good New York strip, love the sweet potatoes. Longest wait was 15 mins.

This was my 1st visit to a Longhorn, and it was a good meal. The server was competent and attentive. The food is typical steakhouse fare. Since we had a coupon for a free appetizer we ordered the Western Cheese Fries which arrived piping hot in about 10 minutes. The serving size was quite large for just 2 people, but the cheese was melty, the bacon was a good complement. The only issue I had was that there could have been more chili on top. Bread was served, and it was curious they gave us 3 pieces for 2 people, but we didn't ask for more as the appetizer was quite sufficient The main course was an 8oz sirloin and their own 'Parmesan Crusted Chicken'. Both were good, but nothing really stood out. The steak was done as requested, and the mound of mashed potatoes included lots of butter. The chicken was tender and juicy. In general, I'd probably go there again because it was close, but I preferred the Texas Roadhouse if we're talking steakhouse chains. Longhorn was a little more expensive than the Roadhouse, and Roadhouse has better bread (and peanuts), but Longhorn is less rustic and some like that.

Well-meaning relatives occasionally give me gift cards to chain restaurants as a gift. That was the case with this visit to Longhorn as I decided to use my gift card on lunch here. I do feel like every time I review a chain restaurant, I should apologize to Yelp. I know that there are chain snobs here. I can be one of them. But some chains do it better than others. Would Longhorn be one of them? So the good thing is, it wasn't too crowded for lunch, and the bar was empty so I had the full attention of the bartender and quick service. Always appreciated, and everyone was friendly here. So the food rundown for me goes like this. Wild West Shrimp - I got this for free by applying to the club, guaranteeing that I'd have money left on the gift card. Score. Now, you can tell that the shrimp came from a package, and it's a bit of a greasy app. But I did like the flavor and polished it off. It wound up being my favorite part of the meal. My theory that chains usually do better on apps than meals applies here. Prime rib sandwich - It wasn't a bad sandwich necessarily, but the roll was way too soft which guaranteed it would fall apart in me. It didn't wow me. Shrimp lobster chowder - The flavor was ok, but something that has shrimp and lobster should wow me by default. It was just passable. That defined this meal. It passed. But a C grade is passing, and I'd put this about a C+ due to the fact that the shrimp app had enough flavor to please me. Would I come back again? Well I have 7 bucks on a gift card left. I guess that's a yes.

Me and my husband went here for date night (my second time and his first) for the first time in 5 months since him coming home from his deployment. When we go out to eat, we always chow down. We got Wild West Shrimp as a starter and even though the shrimp were small, there was enough for both of us and they were beyond good. Served with ranch and my husband got cocktail sauce and it tasted good with both dipping sauces. For an entree, I got chicken tenders with honey mustard sauce/fries and my husband got sierra chicken. I received more chicken tenders then you get at Friday's or any other restaurant (they are smaller) and they were also good. Not as crispy as Friday's but still good. My husbands sierra chicken was also good and moist. Despite feeling full we couldn't leave without dessert (that's a big no-no in our book of Going Out To Eat Rules). We got the Longhorn dessert sampler tray which was a good price (get nice size portions of chocolate stampede, caramel apple goldrush, and mountain top cheesecake). Everything on the tray was fabulous!! I'm surprised we finished it all, but another rule in our book is no matter what, never waste dessert (even if your taking your entree home). The mountain top cheesecake was the best cheesecake I've ever had (sorry, but despite going to cheesecake factory often, we never had one of their cheesecakes but we will). It didn't taste like it was store brought or leave a after-taste in your mouth (Red Lobster cheesecake has nothing on Longhorn cheesecake; personal taste bud preference). It was so rich and creamy and smooth going down and it had that made from scratch/homemade taste to it you find nowhere else. This is coming from a person who used to hate cheesecake so thank you Longhorn for turning me around. So now, I'm gonna say this, I love this place and know I will be back sooner than I want to be. P.S. Our server was also great. Lots of energy and was always around even though the place was crowded. Even though he dropped one of our dessert spoons and didn't show up til 5mins later, me and my husband are used to sharing utensils, but we loved his reason for dropping the spoon (did it on purpose to create a bonding moment for us)and for that and his service, he got a nice tip.
