We have gone there a lot for their buffet. The steaks are very tasty. The all you can eat Schrimp are on the small side but still good. The deserts are plentiful and fresh. A really secret gem. Very under rated.

I go for the bands, but the bar pretty much is below average. Music can be great- don't expect much else

The waitstaff was so accommodating and very attentive. The salad bar was fresh and the peel and eat shrimp were very good. The cocktail sauce seemed homemade because it was a little spicier and very good. The prime rib and made to order pasta were both excellent. The pre-made items in the steamer trays were the only downfall. Typical buffet type fare, not bad just nothing special. They serve Starbucks coffee and the desserts were also nothing special, but fine. The wine list was pretty good for a hotel and the craft beer selection was very good, too. Overall, we had a very pleasant evening and with a restaurant.com gift certificate, the price was right.

As a guest at The Inn at Chester Springs I ate at Arthur's several times. While there is little memorable about the decor, the staff makes Arthur's human, warm and likeable. Their food is strictly "alright," with no surprises and nothing to recommend. My stays were with a group of European business colleagues for whom end-of-work-day was synonymous with start-of-drinking-night; the bar was strained to keep up with them.

This restaurant is located inside the Inn at Chester Springs. First off it's a restaurant within a hotel/motel, which already puts it at a serious disadvantage. It's tough for these types of restaurants to really stand out and distinguish themselves. They have to pretty much be doing everything right. The place is fairly cozy - read small. In fact the bar of the same namesake right next door is actually twice as large as the restaurant. The place is done up to be slightly upscale in terms of decorations and table settings. As for the food, we were there on a Friday night and it turns out they have a buffet on Fridays. It smelled good and the price was right so we opted for it. For starters they had mixed greens salad which was fresh and delicious, a mozzarella salad, breads and chilled shrimp. The chilled shrimp where the medium-small size and they had a really off/chlorine taste to them. Fortunately I only took a few of the shrimp. For entrees they had a cook to order station with choice of pasta, toppings and sauces. They also had a chicken dish, tilapia in a butter cream sauce and prime rib. The sides were mashed potatoes, squash and a few other typical sides. The pasta was so-so. The chicken was the same. The big stars of the night were the tilapia, the prime rib and the mashed potatoes as all were delicious. My wife even commented that the tilapia and the mashed potatoes were amazing. The desserts were in a word, horrible. It was painfully obvious from just looking at them that they were the mass manufactured type (you know, the kind that taste like Little Debbie) and not at all fresh. We sampled a few between my wife and I but were disappointed by it all. The service was half decent and friendly, though not exceptional. Our server was MIA at various times which for how small the dining area is and how empty it was when we were there is a bit ridiculous. Another strike was that the first wine glass I was given had obvious lip marks on it. YUCK! This is a fairly benign place that I think wishes it was more than it is but just doesn't have the tools to quite get there. I would really be curious as to what items from their regular menu taste like but I doubt we'll bother going back just to see.
