I've been here a couple of years ago and I remember it being very delicious. I'm not sure if I was very hungry then or if anything has changed of late but the experience I had was mediocre at best. The wood oven was not being used and they had food that they seemed to be reheating. Perhaps it was made for that customer and I just happened to see the reheating but it didn't make for a very palatable experience. My pizza also came out a bit dry which makes me wonder if my suspicions are true. I still enjoyed it so I will give it 3 stars but I'll come by again and update my review if I experience anything different.

Anthony's is the best pizzeria in the area. I have been coming here for the past couple years and their food is always on point. The pizza is delicious, and I love the pasta dishes as well. Could not recommend this place more!

Be aware that they claim to have wood oven pizza however they do not use the wood oven during the summer because of the temperature inside of the building?? They use a regular pizza oven for their specialty woodfired pizzas??? Pizza was okay mediocre at best not worth a second visit

The wood oven isn't even used from what I can tell, a bit of false advertising if you ask me. Run of the mill lunch pizza that sits out on the counter and then is re-fired when you order it. Plain slice and white slice were just OK, needed a lot of spices to make it better. Stuffed cheesesteak slice didnt have a lot of meat and was dry. Didnt come with a side of sauce and saw they charge for it, if I asked. Their signature eggplant pizza was actually the best of the bunch and very good. I would go for that pizza alone and order a whole pie of it fresh out of the (non wood fired) oven. It is in a strip mall in Exton and they try to make the inside more inviting with cheesy Italian paintings on the wall, but its still in a strip mall.

We were doing a going away dinner for my brother and we all wanted pizza/cheesesteaks, my mom proposed Anthony's because of their eggplant pizza that she'd been raving about since I got home, so I was excited. We got 4 pizzas and 3 strombolis. Everything was delicious, the decided favorite of everyone was definitely the eggplant pizza. It was really good, the eggplant was meaty and tender while not being overly juicy. The cheesesteak stromboli was also great, I haven't had one in years and have been needing it. I can't wait to go back next time I'm in PA!

Not sure how anyone could have a bad experience with their food at Anthony's. I go here (out of my way) at least once a month specifically for their delicious pizza. It's the best pizza in town (& I've tried over a dozen pizza places). Staff is very friendly, too!

Having been in the West Chester area for 21 months without finding a "go-to" pizza joint, I began asking the locals. Two different people recommended Anthony's, and one was able to articulate that its distinctive advantage was the thin and crisp crust. Music to my ears, so I stopped by to try a few slices. Anthony's is located in a typical suburban strip mall on Rt. 30 near Whitford Rd., and looks like any other storefront pizzeria/Italian restaurant churning out mediocre fare for the undiscriminating customer. Could this place be different? I found they did have some interesting varieties available by the slice. The friendly counter man suggested a slice of the "classica" which uses fresh mozzarella, and I chose also a slice of the eggplant pie. Both had considerable eye appeal. The pie does indeed have a thin and crisp crust, but it lacked both the flavor and the al dente chewiness that comes with the best pies. The toppings were tasty, but adhesion to the crust was weak. Overall, I came away disappointed. I had hoped for a truly special pizza, but I found pie that was only slightly better than average. I'd rate it 6 out of 10. The biggest let down is that on their website home page, they have a picture of a beautiful bubbled-and-charred crusted artisan pie, but there was no sign of such at the counter. Nor any sign of a wood-fired oven (I should have asked). I am Pizza Quixote!

Whenever I want authentic homemade Italian food, I always go to Giuseppe & Santina. Santina and Giuseppe family have hidden the best authentic Italian food in this strip mall byob pizzeria. Family owned & operated, everything is made to order and reasonably priced. From the salad dressing to the meatballs, everything is made from scratch. If available on specials, make sure to try the homemade meat ravioli or beef braciole. And the best veal marsala is to die for. Believe it or not, South Philly quality italian has made it to the suburbs! & I didn't even mention the Pizza!

I have only been there for lunch, and the lunch pizza is pre-made and reheated, but don't get me wrong it is superior pizza! They have a pasta each day, soup, and salad. The only thing that I dont like is that I have never seen them use the wood oven! I imagine that it would just make it that much better....
