The circumstances of my being in this restaurant are a little odd, I had lost my passport in CA and had to book a later flight to Cancun via Philly instead of Phoenix. Had to spend the night to catch my connecting flight. I had worked till 2 am the previous night and had not eaten or slept and it was dinnertime the next day. I walked from Motel 6 down the road. I have to say I loved the place. I had 3 excellent coffee drinks, which are often trouble due to old coffee or a bad pour. I ate in the bar, where sports were playing and a mix of grouchy old guy regulars and travelers were in attendance. They were comforting surroundings for me, dumped in a strange town without advance prep. Bartender, was a young woman, very friendly and helpful. This was a Sunday night. My food was good for the price and quantity. Had beef barley soup, a couple of rolls. I had filet mignon with 3 bacon wrapped shrimp and a baked potato and green beans. All were good, green beans were a little over cooked, but still acceptable. For $23 that is a deal by California standards. Best of all, they have a driver on duty who drove me back to Motel 6 and I did not have to take a cab. If I ever get back to Philly, I will stop in.

This place came recommended by our nearby hotel. What it has going for it is its close proximity to the airport. That's about it. There is a bar attached to the restaurant which creates a cloud of smoke detectable from the restaurant section. As previously mentioned the decor is old. The Chicken Parmesan sandwich was ok. Another guest with me ordered the special, Prime Rib. It was better than average.

Have to disagree with many of the bad reviews. I have frequented this place many, many times. The only drawback to this restaurant, if it matters to you, is the somewhat old decor. I care more about food and service. The service is always outstanding. The food is just about always prepared well, and the portions are very generous. My favorites were the Prime Rib and Fried Oysters (Oysters are the best I've ever had, and I've had a lot), My kids loved the Chicken Marco Polo, and many like the London Broil and Rack of Lamb. I have taken many people there over the years, and many have gone back on their own. I think that says something. You can go to prettier and more expensive restaurants, but if you are looking for a good bang for the buck, you can't beat Lehman's.

Tired of strip malls and McDenny's for dinner? Try an old fashion local tavern with darn fresh provisions. Reminds me of after-church dining in the 1960s: wood paneling decor takes the cake. Loved the crab & broiled shrimp.... Try it. (Jane F: you didn't have dinner but wrote a review??)

The food wasn't very good, think cafeteria quality with larger proportions. The draft beer arrived warm and the soupy London broil was gross. The waitress who served me was friendly, but the rest talked like truckers.

Actually it wasn't as bad as I expected. The decor looks like the 1960's, but the service was very good. Lots of seafood and Italian on the menu. I didn't feel like a dinner so instead had a dinner salad and clams au gratin appetizer which was very fresh and tasty. The salad was ok - mostly iceberg lettuce with a couple of grape tomatoes, 2 slices of cuke and a sprinkling of croutons. Ask for dressing on the side - way too much if they put it on. About the best that you can hope for in the area around the Philly airport unless you have transportation.

Disgraceful. C'mon people. Clean it up a little. We stopped in while staying by the PHL a/p and at 8pm were starving and thirsty. Went in their ratty door, walked over filthy rugs, sat at the dirty bar where I laid my hand on something sticky on the leather surround on the bar, The 2 questions I asked the bartender got a look of "you want WHAT?" as I asked what draft beer they had and if they had a menu. G&T was good, beer wasn't as cold as it could be (warm glass???) On the brighter side, the platters I saw going by looked pretty good, and people seemed to be enjoying them. We left and got a great stromboli around the corner and called it a day. P.S. It was CROWDED for a Tues. night. Go figure. Imagine what they could do if they cleaned it up a little bit. What a shame. Great location. (Chef Ramsey - where are you?)

Good crab stuffed mushrooms and good shrimp the beer is pricey expect to pay $5.00 for a pint of Sam Adams and $5.00 for a Blue Moon. The place is old but has tons of personality met some very good people at the bar. I recommend this place if your not on a tight budget and if you don't mind smoke.

The portion was huge. I ordered chicken marsala. The flavor was very good but got salty the more I ate. House dressing was very good but the lettuce was all iceberg. Service was prompt and attentive. Prices were higher than I expected but when I saw the portion, 2 chicken breasts with pasta and a large house salad, I understood.

I base my ratings on price, food, service and how comfortable the setting is... I was really nervous trying this place after I read some of the reviews. So I went in expecting not to come out happy, well I was WRONG because all 4 of us left VERY happy. FOOD: We all ordered the seafood combo $33.99 a bit pricey I thought but MAN was it great! You get more then enough food with it. Salads were very good. I never had scallops so good. PRICE: A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. SERVICE: Outstanding. COMFORTABLE: Very. We will be going back! The ONLY cons would be it smelled a bit as you walked in, a wee outdated and the snapper soup was awful but my husband liked it so go figure. :/

Nearby the Holiday Inn Express Hotel only 7 minutes by feet. We took the Cheeseburger Deluxe. Tasted really good. The focus is definitively on seafood but the Arne several other good looking dishes. But .... I have no idea how to eat like the americans do. I do the European Style with knife AND fork.

Average family owned seafood restaurant. Decided to have dinner here as they offer hotel pick-ups in the area. And because there isnt much available in the area either. I was surprised by the cheesesteak onion soup, which tasted pretty good. Also had the chef's combo with baked potato and garlic cauliflower. Best item was the bacon wrapped shrimp yum.

Pretty bad. I asked for the chef's special expecting fresh. It was medallions of beef stuffed with crab imperial. What came was a deep fried breaded pounded out cutlet rolled around some crab meat. Very pricey for truly bad food. Don't go there.

Food was so-so: had the seafood combination and it came almost cold which means they are not cooked on demand. On the other hand the oysters and scallops had a very strong fishy taste... Obviously not fresh at all. Next time I'm staying in the area (just because near the airport) I'll go somewhere else for sure

This used to be an old favorite of mine when landing in Philadelphia. I would say nothing has changed in 30 years, including the carpeting. We ordered the crabcakes they were good -nothing special I am surprised they can still charge these prices, however, there is nothing else in this neighborhood. The service was good food mediocre . Probably won't come back until there is a new management.

Stopped in and quickly regretted my decision. Slow service on a slow night. The dinner salad was horrible...old veggies and limp wilted lettuce and at these prices. I almost walked out as I sat there just waiting for the server to take my order. The cocktail and tartar sauce were in little plastic cups with the lid still on. Wow!

Definitely has an Irish feel about it. Bar is friendly and well-stocked. Food was ok - I got the feeling that liquor is what they serve here, more than food.

I have been here several times, I would not go back. Menu has been same for 20 years. Still cant get it right. Each time ordering surf and turf and was disappointed. Way to expensive for what you get and the service. Both were slathered in butter to the point it was all you could taste. Steak not cooked right, the baked potato was overdone. Drinks and meal was overpriced and not worth the time. Service was friendly but slow. Dark and depressing. Dirty, dingy feeling to the whole place, dirty bathrooms. Smoke in a food establishment (from the bar) is unacceptable. Like an old boys club.

You get a ton of food for paying so little. I'd skip the bread. I ordered the crab stuffed shrimp and it came with a salad and two sides. The salad was all iceburg but it came with their house cucumber dressing which is amazing. My shrimp was pretty good, packed with lots of crab. The coleslaw is really good and creamy. The sautéed mushrooms were extremely salty. My coworker ordered the potato soup and loved it. Seemed to enjoy his crab cakes and beets. Friendly service. Decor is a little dark but it's a cute little find.

Amazing 70s themed restaurant! Wood paneling everywhere smoking at the bar and a swordfish on the wall! Everything about this spot is classic, but in great shape! If this were in Seattle hipsters would decend upon it like locusts. :)

Had Prime Rib. It was good! Would give this place a good review but they allowed people to SMOKE where I was in the restaurant So. I will not return

I'm surprised by some of the negativity of the reviews. The food is old-style but very good. If you're looking for nouvelle cuisine, go elsewhere. This is a steak and seafood joint, and it's the kind of 50s-60s food that makes you feel like you had a real meal. Yes, the decor is ancient with wood paneling and colonial chairs. Yes, the place needs an update, but it's in the ass end of nowhere near the Philly airport, and there's not much incentive for an update. The service is excellent. We walked in there with a party of 7 and we were all accommodated. One member of our party was a vegetarian and there are NO vegetarian options on the menu, so they custom made him an alfredo dish loaded with veggies. He loved it. I had the prime rib and it was great. Everyone was very happy with their meals. We'd had a particularly bad meal at our hotel the night before, so this was stellar compared to that. I am knocking off a star for the ridiculous amount of cigarette smoke. The attached bar is considered separate and smoking is allowed, and it's disgusting. The place smells like old cigarettes. I felt like I was on a Mad Men set. Food: great. Service: excellent and very accommodating. Decor: meh Smoke: ick.

Wide Selection on the menu, quite pricey, retro feeling. A bit over-staffed. Would come back!

Yes, we read all the negative reviews of this place, but decided to go there while spending the night at the Philadelphia airport due to a very early morning flight. To be fair, we had gone to this place one other time without seeing any reviews and we pretty much agreed with most of the two star reviews, but we wanted a local real food restaurant, so went again. Starting with the low point of the experience, the gin and tonic was pitiful. It was served in a small glass filled mostly with ice. Tasted very watered down. On the other hand my glass of house Pinot Grigio was very adequate. Beer would have been the safe bet. Now, moving on to the pleasant parts: the waitress was very nice, but very busy with a party in the next room, so we waited a while for service. The tablecloths were bright and clean and refined looking. The decor is what it is: old. So far, only two stars, THEN we got our food. We had calves liver with gravy and onions and a crab cake (not on the menu.) Both dishes were outstanding! The calves liver was cooked perfectly to medium rare and was delicious. The crabcake was fantastic! Our waitress warned that it would be baked. It turned out to have been baked in a cup shape, so that only the bottom was golden. The rest was pure jumbo lump crab meat, served with a fantastic mayo-chipolte sauce. Only the weight of the crabmeat held it together. Absolutely wonderful. One was more than enough when adding the pretty ordinary, but acceptable sides. Noteworthy were the beets which had a touch of cinnamon--delicious. (And I don't like beets.) We will definitely go back for that menu alone if circumstances allow.

The food was ok, however large helpings save it. The sides were excellent however the broiled seafood I got was nothing special and the King crab legs that came with it we scant if there. Overall I would say it is ok if you want something but not the best place around.

A group of us were in the area for work this week and one of them recommended this place based on previous experiences. I'm not sure most of us would recommend it to anyone. The only good part was our waitress. Personally I hated the smoke smell when you walk in although others may not mind it. We waited for a while to get our tables together which was fine until the hostess and server decided to bicker in front of the customers the entire time, it was like having dinner and a show. I ordered the stuffed broiled flounder with twice baked potato and apple sauce. The flounder was crispy/black on bottom and the dish wasn't hot at all. The potato and apple sauce were good. I don't mind paying for good food, this food wasn't even worth half the cost.

Food was cold and over priced. Asked to speak to manager but he would not come to our table. Waitress promised she would have him call us but he never did. Will never go back again. Very disappointed with the lobster.

I would say the food was average. I got the grilled salmon and it was a tad over cooked. They have a fairly big menu selection focusing on steaks, seafood, and Italian dishes. The steak selection was not very wide and the Italian portion was missing some of the standard dishes. The service was excellent and the prices were just a touch high, but you do receive a lot of good for the money.

My wife and I almost didn't go there because of the many posts complaining about second hand cigarette smoke, but at the last second we said let's go see for ourselves. We are both sensitive to smoking, and through our whole meal never detected smoke from the bar. The food was excellent, the portions were large, and the service was extremely friendly. We'll be back without hesitation.

There's not much worth eating near the Airport and this place fits right in. The service was friendly. The portions are huge but I would agree with most of the other reviews. The food was just okay to below average. The place has a real early 60's feel to it including the menu. There is really nothing on the menu that is fresh or contemporary. Lots of fried or broiled and swimming in butter. The decor is in need of an update. I guess if you fly into Philly, pack a dinner!

Today was my fourth lunch at Lehman's in a year. All were similar in two ways: 1) portion sizes are generous, 2) food is over cooked.

Incredibly good food, waitress was very knowledgeable about anything you had questions about. The best meal there by far is the prime rib, others can be a little lacking for a more expensive restaurant. The inside decor was different than what a mid-westerner was used to but it was homey. I had the 6oz filet with shrimp and it was very good, shrimp was prepared a little differently than expected and was a little tough but still tasted amazing.
