All in all a great dining experience, even on a busy Mothers Day weekend. We got in, didn't have to wait, and were seated right away. The "peanuts at the table" thing is cool, but they leave them for the next guests so if you are a germ freak it is best to steer clear. The men's bathroom was not the cleanest. I nearly slipped multiple times in there. Otherwise it was a great time. I got the Roadkill meal... very delish!

Seems it doesn't matter if you go to Texas Road House in Eire, PA or Methuen, MA. Our waitress was friendly and always alerted. Meat was good, sides not so much. If in doubt you can always count on a chain I guess.

My family and I were in town for the weekend and we all wanted some good steak so we chose this place since we heard good things about it. The service was great. The cleanliness of the restaurant could have been better. The fillet and sirloin steak were decent but not what we had anticipated. The prime rib was the HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT of the night. It was a stringy piece of meat, which is not typical of this cut of meat considering the cost. We ordered it medium rare so this should not have been an issue. And the taste was off. We didn't say anything that night but we didn't go back for the second night of our trip. We went to a near by steak house which didn't disappoint and lived up to our expectations.

We really enjoy the Texas Roadhouse in Clermont,FL (in the winter). Saturday was my birthday, and I was in the mood for a good prime rib. Well, it was about the worse I have ever had. There was no seasoning on it so it was tasteless. It was also grizzly and tough. I told the guy who served it to us, and he said they did not put seasonings on their prime rib. When. I told our waiter, he just said he was sorry. What a bitter disappointment.

Standard Texas Roadhouse fare with exceptional service but sadly all 10 beers on tap were suitable for a frat party. Nothing decent in bottles either. I sat at the bar and had fantastic service from Jenn. Sadly my "steak & good beer" expectations could only partially be met. No IPA on tap or in bottle. No local beers. Only corporate crap. The service & food were above par. Hopefully they'll soon fire whoever orders their beers.

Called for call ahead seating at 6:22 and they said 15-25 min. Got there at 6:40. Waited til 7:02 and finally asked how much longer since we waited 40 min. They said they were trying to page us-- our pager didn't work. We were right by the hostess stand the whole time, ridiculous.

Food was great until we watched the blond bartender guy putting chewing tobacco into his mouth then serve drinks including oranges in beer without washing hands.

This is one of the ONLY restaurants in Erie that serves beef cow as opposed to old dairy cow for their steaks. I've never had a bad steak at this location. Nothing has been under or overcooked and the portions are pretty large.

The bread is always a good starter at Texas Roadhouse. Today, I tried this location in Erie because it was close to my hotel and convenient. I decided to have the half rack of ribs, salad and plain sweet potato. Everything was perfect. Salad was nice and fresh. The waiter was polite and attentive. I'll add this to my list for Erie locations to eat.

Diana C from support services contacted me to ask about my horrible experience. The manager of the branch called me, asked what happened and sent me a dinner for 2 worth $30. I'll update this review if i'll be back at texas roadhouse in peach st!

The atmosphere was great, the service quick yet unhurried. Follow that up with a perfectly done steak, means it's all good. I would return the next time I'm passing through.

Steak is what they do, so steak is what I had. Being able to pick it yourself from the cool case is unique. Steak tasted great - a little greasy. Sides were unremarkable; the green beans were clearly from a can. Decent draught beer selection slaked my thirst. The buttery rolls stood out and were pretty amazing, especially since they are free. Service at this location was fine on a weeknight; young servers were attentive. If you are staying at one of the two hotels right across the street, this is not a bad option.

Good food, can't accomodate groups larger than 4, very loud. When we walked up to the entrance and stepped inside, the music was so loud we had to lean in to each other and shout - not very socially rewarding. We had a party of eight - they gave us a choice of the one large booth (which would have seated six comfortably - one of us had to pull up a tall chair from the bar) or separating us into two groups and putting us at tables across from each other. There was a bin where the wait staff keeps extra plates, right behind me. Half a dozen times a bus boy came and "crash!" dropped a new stack of plates into it. This was alarming at first, then annoying ever after. We all had to shout at each other - it's really anti-social in that place, not good for a group to talk among themselves. A few times we thought we heard someone actually shouting - it was one of the employees announcing a birthday at another table. There was no way to be able to understand anything they shouted over the roar of the place. The food was decent - about as good as you'd expect at a chain restaurant around Erie. The waitress got all our orders perfect, the food was as ordered, and everyone was satisfied. The food arrived pretty quickly for our group of 8. We went on a Tuesday night and the place was packed solid - they don't take reservations, and we were lucky to be seated together, and that after a wait of only about ten minutes. I wonder what it's like to wait for a table on a Friday or weekend, since they don't take any reservations any time. The parking lot was maxed out when we arrived at 5:40 pm on Tuesday to meet people at 6:00, with people trolling to grab a space whenever someone else would leave. Overall, I've had food as good, and a quieter more pleasant atmosphere, at locally owned restaurants and cafes in Erie. I've seen this review called "funny." There's nothing funny about this place - it's loud and stressful. Not a pleasant experience.

Delicious! The rolls are great and the peanuts on the table are an added bonus. I had the ribs and pulled pork. Both were very tasty. Plenty of choices and generous sized portions. Great place for dinner... and their Sweet Tea rocks!

Ditto what Franco A. wrote on 1/11/2009 "I'm a big fan of Texas Roadhouse. I've been there many times and have tried many different things from their menu and I've never been disappointed." I too am a fan of Texas Roadhouse, particularly when I'm out with my family on a road trip. The menu is suitable enough for everyone, and the peanuts in the pail and as many rolls as my son can eat are the added bonus. This is also a great location for us as we travel from Chicago to Buffalo and back again! The wait staff at this location are also very nice.

So I'm a big fan of Texas Roadhouse. I've been there many times and have tried many different things from their menu and I've never been disappointed. As soon as you walk in you're able to choose your own steak from a glass case if you'd like. You also get free rolls with butter, and they are oh so delicious. My favorite menu item is the 8 ounce Sirloin steak cooked medium with mashed potatoes with cream gravy. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys good food in a friendly environment. Help others learn about Erie restaurants by leaving comments and reviews after eating there.
