Not my favorite place but family likes to celebrate birthdays there, usually go with big group and today was worst experience in a long time. Told 30 min wait took 70 min, bad enough but ok. Waited 60 mother minutes to get meals and they were horrible, food over cooked lobster and shrimp dried out. Then floor manager Beverly came out now 2 hours and 45 minutes into this experience and she made a fair attempt to pacify us and comp 2 of 12 meals. Got bill and then that's when I stewed, wasn't extremely upset till weak attempt to satisfy customer. Steaming when I left, then nice young girl who noticed I was upset asked if I wanted the general manager, she should be in customer service cause she was a natural. The GM did give me a gift card for 90% of my balance and was sincere. Still soured but may give them a try again down the road.

Cheddar bay bisquits.... Oh how I love thee! BUT that being said.... that is what I love and the only thing I love. Everything else about Red Lobster is just meh to me. Considering we went on Saturday at 4pm thinking we would miss the rush, we were surprised to have a still over 30 min wait for 6 adults and 2 babies and 1 toddler. This would have been fine if the one older hostess was not being such a brat acting like we were putting them out by preferring a table over a snug booth. We understand you have guests to accomodate, but there is no need to be rude about it when that is your job. The service was decent... no problems there.

Here is my letter to Red Lobster. We went to the restaurant in Erie, PA on Friday, July 12, 2013. I am writing to you to tell you about my experience at the Erie, PA Red Lobster. My husband and I arrived at 6:00 pm, we were immediately seated, and I asked for a both. The table was sticky, it had not been properly cleaned. The menus, main and drink menu were greasy, apparently from a lack of cleaning. We both ordered drinks, I ordered the triple berry sangria, and my husband a heineken beer. The sangria was not even properly mixed. The appetizers were the only part of the meal that was decent. My garden salad had unripened tomatoes in it, and my husband's cole slaw was unedible. The coffee was lukewarm, and it tasted like instant. His haddock was overcooked, and dried out. The grilled shrimp were overcooked. In essence, I wasted $59.70 on a dinner that should have been superb, not sub par. My husband and I left hungry and disappointed. We ended up going to the local grocery store. I will not ever again go to any Red Lobster, and I will make it a point of telling my friends not to do the same. Shame on you for allowing this to happen.

The only thing that was supposed to be cold was the ice cubes. 1. The drinks from the bar were watered down. It was 90% ice 5%rum 5% coke. When I asked for another drink I got all coke and no rum at all. 2. The clam chowder was cold too. I told the server that the should be hot. It returned hot with NOTHING IN IT. No potato's, no clams. just the soup part of it. 3. The cheese sticks were not warm the broke with no melted cheese at all. Jesus. 4. When our food came out the kids got and my son said mac and cheese COLD! 5. My fish was cold the stuffing was that inside of the fish was more code (Microwave) 6. I asked my wife and she said that her food was warm, but over all tasteless. I can say there isn't a reason why I would come back, I will never be the duke here because I won't return.

I was a little worried about how I would like red lobster, but believe it or not it was actually decent for chain seafood. I came for lunch and ordered from the create your own lunch menu. For $8.99 I had a yummy salad with vinaigrette dressing, bread, a baked potato with the works, veggies, hand breaded shrimp, and garlic shrimp scampi. Not a bad deal considering I had leftovers.

It's been a looooooong time since I was at a Red Lobster, but having gone this past weekend, I was reminded why my trips are so infrequent. The meal was fine, as I always remember my meals being when I've gone, but I just never leave Red Lobster thinking, "wow, that meal was DEFINITELY worth it!" For the price, I just can't justify frequent trips to Red Lobster when there are so many food options out there these days that will give you a great meal for the same price. We went with a big group and arrived around 4 for an early dinner. The wait staff was really nice, and all of our orders came out perfectly. A lot of the people at our table of 9 had special requests, and none of those requests were overlooked. Granted, we had two servers waiting on our table, but the it's always impressive to see your meal come out perfectly, as ordered, for every course. The food was good. I always felt that their caesar salads were a little too heavy on the dressing, but the taste is good, and I'm not sure if I've ever met someone who walked in to a Red Lobster without showing some signs of excitement about grubbing on their cheddar bay biscuits. Those things are awesome. My wife got a sangria, and like their other mixed drinks, was just a little too sweet. Aside from that, the rest of our meals were pretty typical. Crab legs, lobster, shrimp, coconut shrimp, shrimp nachos, etc. The shrimp nachos weren't very good. I remember their old lobster & shrimp nachos being a lot better. The shrimp nachos are just one monotonous flavor of cheese sauce spread over chips that are so thin that they become soggy after a few minutes. I won't order those again. The coconut shrimp have always been my favorite, and they didn't disappoint, but really, they're nothing special, and they're definitely not something that I crave. Just one of my go-to meals when I'm at a Red Lobster. Unfortunately, the broccoli side comes out so over-seasoned with salt and pepper that it's really not enjoyable at all. The pepper was so overwhelming that my wife didn't even touch hers. One thing that amazes me about Red Lobster is the crowds. I've rarely seen a Red Lobster without a wait during dinner time, and the Erie Red Lobster may have been the busiest location I've ever seen. When we left around 5/5:30, it was so crowded with people waiting for a table that it was hard to walk out of the place. Having been to Red Lobster numerous times over the years, I've never understood how it can be so busy. Is it good food? Sure, but it's definitely not good enough to wait for. For a city on the lake, I'd expect the locals to be crowding any number of other local seafood restaurants before Red Lobster, but maybe - as someone who's only been to Erie a handful of times, and doesn't know the city that well - I'm giving the town's restaurant scene too much credit.

Go here quite often. The food overall is very good, especially given the prices. The free bread rolls are amazing, as is their salads. Entrees are always perfectly cooked. the environment is clean, staff is extremely friendly and competent. Speed of service is good too. Very highly recommend.

So sad this RL has only 2.5 stars....my experience went really well. Our waitress was really efficient and attentive. Dining with a toddler, she knew to bring his food out first, which was a huge plus since we got there late in the evening. Husby's chicken alfredo was good yet salty and toddler broiled fish was gobbled up quickly! I love me some popcorn shrimp and of course...their yummy biscuits!. The side salad had a weird dirty taste to it, but everything else was hot and fresh.

Always good service here and a good family environment! But there soup always taste like they got it out of a can, especially their clam chowder. Outback's clam chowder taste better then here. But everything else is good for the most part! Paula is a phenomenal waitress! She made the experience enjoyable!

Nice waitress, but that was the extent of the joy that this place brought to me. I haven't visited a Red Lobster in 30+ years and it will probably be 30 more before I return. Subpar, frozen fish that is overpriced. I can never understand why this place is so crowded and why people wait to spend ridiculous amounts of money on low grade seafood. There are water spots all over the ceiling too. My guess is that mold is festering. They did have the Avett Brothers on the music system, so at least that's a plus.

This by far is the best Red Lobster I've been too. The service was excellent along with my food. My waitress Sue B was so sweet. -From a Penn State student
