We're new to the area and I was excited to try this place based on past reviews, but I was sadly disappointed when we had to throw out most of what we ordered. The general tsos chicken was good....the chicken and broccoli, the noodles, and beef and string beans were not good at all. The pan fried dumpling and crab rangoon were very good and the fried chicken wings were okay. Will I order from them again? Probably not, but only because the chicken and broccoli, noodles, and beef and string beans tasted like they were cooked in old oil...we ended up throwing a lot of it out...the prices are good but not good enough to toss out almost everything we ordered.

Some of the worst Asian food I've ever had. Ordered the Hot and Spicy Chicken, which was in some kind of tomato-based sauce. Ketchup? Cambpell's tomato soup? It tasted like it could be either of those. Supposed to come with fried rice, but the rice was simply yellow. Infused with saffron? More like yellow food coloring. The Hot and Sour soup was edible, at least. Why are Erie's Asian options soo bad?

Bad food, bad service, stale enviornment, loud kung fu movie coming from an employee's phone. Walked in, said my friend and I were eating in, he turned grabs menus then holds out his arms. 1.) He couldn't even walk the 10 feet to our table to set them down. Finally comes over to take our order. I ask for the chicken chow fun but to make it spicy, my friend went with the general tso's & wonton soup, and we split an order of crab rangoon. 2.) I ask for two waters and he just points to a cooler up front and walks away. Our food comes on time and looks alright, definitely not authentic though. Served on disposable plates and plastic trays 3.) Took a bite of the crab rangoon and immediately put it down, was complete garbage and had no taste. I move onto my chow fun and realize there is 4.) ZERO spice to it, 5.) covered in 20 pounds of oil, and 6.) undercooked. I'm hungry so I power through it and am not really enjoying it. Then it happened. The lazy employee in the front starts blasting a kung fu movie on his phone. Completely caught me offguard and was hilarious for the first 30 seconds then began to get annoying. Whatever, I'm here to eat at chat - will move on. Friend offers me her wonton soup since she didn't realize like it, 7.) tastes like crap, immediately spit it out. I did grab a bite of her generals and that was alright though.8.) Thoughout the entire lunch he didn't stop over once to see how our food was. Threw our food in in a McDonald's style trash can and sat back down. 10.) Waiting around a bit and no check, had to go up to the counter for it. All around terrible experience. Would not recommend. Will be surprised if this place is still in business when I come back into town next year.

Definitely one of the best chinese take-out restaurants in Erie. Does it stack up with those in the bigger cities, probably not, BUT the food is still good and worth the money. The restaurant is clean, which is a HUGE plus, and the food is ready within 15 minutes of ordering. I enjoyed my Mongalian chicken combo and the egg roll that came with - not too spicy and had enough flavor to satisfy me. My roommate also ordered a bunch of random items off the menu and he also enjoyed it. Again, nothing amazing, but definitely good for Erie standards.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
