Overall, this was good, not great. The butternut squash soup was very nice, I'd recommend that. My mom had the lasagna, which was fine--very basic. My pork chop was nothing to write home about. It had a nice char, but all you end up tasting is a the char and a hint of apple. It was pretty tough and was in need of salt and some sort of sauce. It came with a baked apple which was super underdone and "stuffed" with two raisins and a dash of cinnamon. The mushy side greens were "whatever." Wouldn't get any of that again. My dad got the walleye, which sounded great...and it had some nice hints of orange, but was overall "blah" as well. I love a great buerre blanc sauce, and this was not stellar. Basically, all of this was way too overpriced for what you're getting, especially since it's all a la carte. None of us would go back. Hopefully they're just working out the kinks, but this meal was very forgettable.

Brunch at the M Cafe for the last two Sundays has been great!! Today I had eggs over easy, very good home fries and nicely toasted 7 grain bread ( with strawberry jam on the side) - delicious!! My husband had the steak and eggs - perfectly cooked steak and scrambled eggs; he LOVED the scrambled eggs! Last week we went there and, since it was close to noon, I had the hamburger and shoestring fries - BEST BURGER since I've moved back to Erie!! Atmosphere is great, they even had the fire place burning this morning!

The food is a 5 star. I had the linguini, my date and I both agree, excellent. The lemon cheese cake was the best I've ever had. Hats off to M-cafe. I look forward to going back. My date asked me to say "Give the lemon cheesecake a 5 plz".

The food was decent, but the wait staff and the atmosphere made up for it. They take reservations and accommodated 5 of us very easily. Good beer selection.

Loved this place! Just went here a few days ago and had a wonderfully cooked stake and fries. Though I wasn't expecting the spices on the bread that wasn't for me it was okay. Very nice and quick service and cool design. I can't wait to come back again and try some other things on the menu!!

A great new restaurant. Are here for the first time 2 weeks ago. Although vegetarian choices on the menu are limited, they willingly will modify items & accommodate special diets. I had the 7 grain salad with grilled vegetables which was very good. My wife had the salmon with asparagus that she said was excellent. (Pictures attached). Very good wine selection. The server was very cordial, attentive, knowledgable & accurate. The remodeled interior is very well done. It is expensive, but a very good choice for a special evening.

Great new place! Jazz music sets a nice atmosphere for good fresh seasonal foods.

We decided to try this new place out and enjoyed ourselves very much. We were greeted warmly and immediately shown to our table. Heather, our server took our drink orders. The bartender had no problem with the specialty drink order. The menu had many great options to select from. We opted for the chicken and risotto, and the pork chop. Both dishes were tender and finished to the last bite.

I have been here twice and both times the meal and service were mediocre. On my first visit the risotto was not done and they substituted peas for asparagus and did not tell me before they served it. Three of the wines by the glass that I ordered were not available. I finally just asked the waitress to bring me a wine they did have. The room where we were seated was quite loud and loud and it had doors that we ask to be closed. They would not close the doors and there did not appear to be a reason why. We may go back again after they work some of their kinks out but it won't be for a while.

Great cocktail and beer selection. I'm a big fan of st Germaine and they used it in a couple cocktails. I really enjoyed the flatbread that was on special and the cream of artichoke soup was very tasty. What fell short was my salad...I guess I should've known that with it being a radicchio salad it would have been on the bitter side, but I didn't feel like the flavors of anything in the salad went together. My sister's gnocchi dish was eh also. The waitress was friendly but kind of slow. She never filled up our water glasses but told us probably 3 times about how they were understaffed that night. Overall it was all right and I would try it again, but I was not super impressed.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
