I have been to Coffee Cultures up in Buffalo (many of which have closed) but didn't realize they were in Erie. My mom and I were shopping after going to the Greek festival and needed a cold beverage. After leaving Pier 1, I spotted this because it was easy to get in to. I was sort of confused seeing the LECOM logo on the top of the building. Seems like they rent study areas to the one side or something? I almost thought they were like in a change over since you couldn't see clearly inside. I picked up iced coffees for my mom and me. Though, I got a large and she a small, the manager too the order and then one of the counter people gave us both smalls. I told her the mistake and then she just clarified which one was black, etc. I asked for a couple of splenda in mine and I don't really know how many made it in there as after I got my replaced Large, it didn't seem to be the sweetness I was expecting. My mom said her black iced coffee was very tasty and mine was ok too. At least the coffee was cold before they put it in the ice. Was about $5.50 for both of our drinks. I wouldn't rush back to Coffee Culture, but it fit the bill. Was interesting that they had ice cream and we looked over the desserts, but they were pricey.

Had a yummy bagel and hot chocolate for breakfast one morning. The place is kind of a mix between Starbucks and Panera. The muffins and stuff in the display looked so scrumptious. They also had ice cream! The bagel was nice and fluffy and chewy, with the perfect amount of cream cheese. My hot chocolate was just right, too. Not too sweet. Nice and toasty.

I stop here all the time to do work (I'm a Web Developer). The food is good and I love their coffee drinks. The staff is always friendly and the Internet works well. It's a great place.

The coffee was pretty gross & tasted like cafeteria coffee instead of a cappuccino. The servers were nice though and the food was decent ... Also I noticed they don't give tips to their minimum wage workers which made me not want to go back. Instead they are putting a box for money for LECOM students to get a scholarship fund. What about the people that work for $8 an hour?

What a cute little coffee shop! To my surprise, Coffee Culture is a chain found throughout Canada, New York, Florida, and has a few locations in Pennsylvania as well. To me, this was much cozier than your typical Starbucks. There were several booths when you first walk in and plenty of outlets along the back wall where it table/booth seating as well. They have a fireplace with some leather chairs nearby (perfect for the cold PA Erie winter!) as well. I was impressed with the flavor of the regular house blend of coffee and-how cute-it came with a little biscotti on the side. Unfortunately, mine was a casualty to my coffee so I only got to take one bite, but it was tasty especially for being complimentary. I tried my man's cappucino which was tasty-and when ordering they rattled off a list of toppings (cinnamon, cocoa, nutmeg, and even whipped cream). They had not only pastries and sandwiches but also ice cream, although I didn't sample anything. There was a pretty steady stream of all types of people-students, families, couples, etc- for the few hours we were there. I'd recommend coming here particularly if you prefer the more independent-like coffee shops as opposed to Starbucks. Although this is a chain, it keeps that feeling of individuality that I appreciate when going out for coffee. Because of the cozy atmosphere and the yummy coffee, I will be back!

The coffee is not terrible. It is comparable to Starbucks or Caribou. It is clean and they have ice cream and pastries. The do a strange thing by not allowing the customer to put their own cream in their coffee.

This is my go -to place for coffee when I visit the Erie area. They open early, have a great environment for studying or reading. I have not tried their pastries, but their chai tea lattes and holiday drinks are good.

This is a gem along the Peach Street corridor. The food is always delicious and carefully prepared by a staff that is so customer-friendly. They go above and beyond to make your experience first rate. There isn't a bad item on the menu. Wonderful healthy options and a few decadent goodies as well. We love getting a lunch combo of soup + a sandwich or salad + a beverage. Great coffee and tea selections. It's the best coffee shop in Erie!

I signed up to get the yelp app (major pet peeve) just to rate this. only one complaint: there isn't a chain open in Ann Arbor. Beautiful place.

In response to Alice, it's a chain coffee-shop that is based in Canada, not a hipster start-up that sells non-GMO/gluten free pastries, that has slam poetry every Friday night, etc. Though I'm sure management would like to incorporate those elements more! That being said, I love the lattes. I use to work there and can testify that a lot of work goes into making sure the food is as fresh and delicious as possible. Ingredients come from high-quality sources. The managers like to give new items a try that they made up themselves. Though it may be my bias, the staff will accomodate to you in any way they can, and every person I know who works there thrive off of seeing that you are happy with your service. Oh, and free wifi. Why not?

I stopped by here this morning and it was just after the morning rush so there was a plenty place to sit. It smells nice in here as its non-smoking as is all of Erie. (thank god) There are a lot of dark colors in here, dark wood dark lighting, and perhaps this is just the look they were going for I'm just here for the coffee anything else is really a bonus. Lets talk about the important things. The coffee is pretty good it does not have that burnt coffee taste that some of the more popular places have. They Pastries, Muffins, Cookies, Danishes and Croissants all baked fresh they say. This could be correct the place is big enough and I can't see in the back. They have Breakfast Bagels, grilled if you like also they have Grilled Sandwiches & Wraps. They have outside seating which faces peach street and since its not that loud I would consider this a plus on their side. On the inside seating the tables have power outlets for your laptops as your working. I can't tell you how important this is and on top of it all they have FREE WI-FI. With this place so close to my house I can't see another reason why i would ever go to starbucks again. I included pictures as its nice to see what a place looks like before you go. Enjoy.

Friendly staff and spacious setting, but the coffee is average, food is overpriced, and the spacious setting doesn't offer much to look at. Pretty bland.

Decent coffee, pretty good food but a bit pricey for what you get. Nice outdoor seating area but can get noisy with traffic. Good for causal get together or quick run.

Though I'm still not the biggest fan of their regular coffee, their skinny lattes are pretty darn good! I've tried "skinny" drinks at Starbucks and other places, and they tasted like absolute crud. Every time I go to Coffee Culture to study, I always get a skinny latte. Yes, it does keep me awake. Also, I once said their food is a hidden gem, and I still feel the same way about it! I recently tried a wrap that had corn beef, sauerkraut, and thousand island dressing. SUPER GOOD! :D The food may be a bit pricier than I'd like it to be, but it always tastes great.

So the food here is not great (I had a BLT bagel sandwich that was nothing special). I'm not even sure if the coffee is any good since I'm not a coffee drinker. BUT it's an excellent place to study. They could probably use some more lighting, but there are enough tables and outlets to make this cafe the perfect place to get some work done. It's quieter than Panera and bigger than the cafe at B&N. Oh yeah...and there's FREE WIFI :) When I came here, I was most impressed with the electrical plugs that were attached to a number of booth seats along the window...genius! I was also quickly, but politely, told I was not able to bring in any outside food even if I ordered a drink (by a guy who thought the copstash standard and a bowtie made a cool fashion statement -__-). But overall, service was friendly and efficient. I was happy to see they had a nice tea selection!

Okay staff, mediocre looking pastries, craptastic coffee, and a bland large space. This kind of place is what I'd call pretty stereotypical of most coffee on the east coast- the emphasis isn't so much on quality espresso as it is on flavored drip coffee and overly sweetened blended drinks, which this place has plenty of. The coffee itself is over roasted and bitter, the milk badly steamed, and overall its a big gigantic Meh experience. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here if someone wanted to go (or if a group was meeting here) but my inner coffee snob shudders to admit that Tim Hortons and Dunkin Doughnuts, and McDonalds all have much better coffee.

Awesome food and I had a frappe type thing and it was excellent too. Friendly staff as well. I would recommend this place to anyone!

The food here is on the pricier side, and the coffee isn't astonishing. I do, however, always get their single scoop ice cream because the lady always gives me 2 or three scoops instead :). I also love that they have pastry samples out, and late night specials for buy a drink get a free pastry. My favorites are the muffins. Their seasonal pumpkin cheesecake is very delicious.

Dec 21 @ 2:30-3pm. Service awful, cold coffee. Asked for help opening packets of mustard and was made fun of. They were talking about customers. Very bad for employees. I'm sure Lecom will read this

Pretty bland all around. Pros: wonderful and friendly staff, wireless internet, large space. Cons: Extremely bland poorly made drinks. Dunkin Donuts can froth a latte better. No ambiance whatsoever. No artwork or any sort of decorative touch for that matter. Worst of all, the big screen plays Fox News. Are they trying to drive away everyone under 40 with a college degree? Again, the staff are WONDERFUL! Maybe they're not trying to be hip and going for an older country crowd...but ....to me it's just a sad waste of space and money.
