This must be the nicest looking diner in the Valley...they did a great job with renovations! We had a very late lunch/very early dinner here on a Saturday (around 4 o'clock). The host was very friendly & got us seated quickly, and our waitress was over within about 30 seconds to get our drink orders. She came back with the drinks so quickly that we had to ask for a few minutes to peruse the menu! Now, it's diner food. Nothing crazy. Come here for breakfast or sandwiches and your life will probably be very good. I don't tend to trust diners for food that's much showier than those. My cold roast turkey sandwich was fairly solid - but served dry. Weird. But it did have two slices of tomato, so that's an upgrade (most diners in the area do them with lettuce & mayo). So I just asked for a bit of mayo and I was a happy camper. The turkey was a bit on the dry side so the mayo was needed. My husband had a tuna melt & was very happy with it. Standard crinkly chips & pickle (I skipped the coleslaw - hubs said it was so so) and it was a tasty meal. Everyone was friendly. Food came out within 10 minutes. Our bill was around $10. I think that's a hit in my book. I'm not sure I'd get the roasted turkey again but I'll definitely come back to try something else.

Our photo club has been meeting here for over a few years. We tried a couple of other options but quickly return to Superior--by popular demand. Our group members love the personal service, the good food, attractive decor, comfortable seating, full bar, convenient location and reasonable prices. They are very accommodating to our needs and go the extra mile to make sure we have whatever WE need, not what THEY need. That old customer first thing. They work with us on menu items, separate checks when necessary, and table arrangement. Owners Mike & Steve and all of the waitresses work hard to make sure we're pleased.

BY FAR, My favorite dinner in the Lehigh Valley! I have tried lots of thing off the menu and have never been let down! Managers are awesome!!!! I have been to two wedding receptions there that ran really smooth and were really really nice. Highly Recommended! Only good things to say about it. Tip: MUST try a grilled blueberry muffin, I don't think its on the menu but it is to die for.

This place is really nice. Managers Frank and Mike are extremely cool and the staff is always friendly and provide great service. Cheesy prime rib hero (Yolo!), Italian wedding soup, homemade yogurt and berries, rib eye steak and crab cakes are my go to staples and are delicious. Try their clams casino. Highly recommend those little shells of scrumptousness.

Handsome restaurant with the grandest bathrooms in Emmaus, but no hot water in the bathrooms??? Maybe a flook, see for yourself. Anyway, the place is clean, the food fine and the prices reasonable. The service is a little slow at times but I continue to return. My wife cannot get over the lack of hot water in the bathrooms so she prefers to go elsewhere.

Very clean, reasonable lunch specials and it's fast! Service was so-so and I felt a little rushed. Other than that, I enjoyed a good quick meal which cost me about the same as a drive through meal.

If you aren't a regular, apparently, you will just get marginalized at this fine establishment. My family and I are new to the area and decided to give this place a shot. We were a party of five and watched as a group of 5 and 6 walked in after us, were warmly greeted by the hostess, and ushered right in. The first time I questioned about the group of 5 being seated I was told that it was a group of 4 when I clearly saw the seater come out, mention a table for five was ready, another family pointed at us, but the later arrivals were simply ushered on in. The group of 6 were practically seated immediately upon entry, which meant a 6-top was open the whole time. Apparently, my family wasn't good enough to sit at it. When we complained a second time...well, suddenly there was a table. Come on now. Never again. Shame on this place.

We went here on a Sunday AM. Was pretty full, but we got fast service and huge breakfast portions. Pancakes, French toast, eggs, bacon and scrapple. Wasn't nuts about the scrapple, but everything else was good. we couldn't finish it all!

Food was okay, nothing special, but not nearly as bad as the other reviews suggested. Our problem was with the unprofessional staff. The servers were conversing, loudly, with some of their regular customers. One server in particular was discussing her boyfriend being shot the day before. The other servers chimed in with their own, I got shot one time, stories. Lovely. Exactly what I want to hear about while I'm trying to eat breakfast. Some coaching on inappropriate conversations in the workplace and maintaining a professional environment seems to be in order. We won't be returning.

I can say we have been going here since before it was a "RESTAURANT". The last few times have been rough, as the menu changed again! The price for this quality food is unjustified. Seating is a typical diner. It is always clean. I am not sure what happened here but it went from a real good Diner to a POOR quality restaurant. It seems nothing is prepared fresh. Out of the box into the microwave or deep fryer, the quality of the food is terrible, and portions are a lot smaller. Someone said 'identity crisis", agreed. This food wasn't even close to the quality of Diner food they use to serve here. I am concerned for the future of this place. Overall, it lacks food quality & taste. Poor service, forgetful & not attentive. Bright spot is the deserts are still the same! WONDERFUL! I hope they work it out soon. I will give them 1 more chance. Appetizer, Calamari was OK, fried in old oil, slight aftertaste. Server forgot our soup & salads. Dinner 1. Chicken Mediterranean, by far it was the best meal, a canned sauce with some fresh feta & tomatoes added served over pasta. 2. Chicken Rollatini, frozen breaded stuffed chicken breasts deep fried then baked. Tasted like a seafood dish. 3. Ragin' Cajun Chicken BBQ. Flattened pressed chicken meat no Cajun flavor at all, tasted all BBQ sauce, hidden by some type of cheese.

We went here for the first time and would never go back. While the place is clean with a good atmosphere, the food is just terrible. I ordered breakfast and the toast was stale, tasteless, and covered in some sort of oil. The eggs were bland, the homefries were undercooked and oily, the scrapple tasted like a burnt piece of oil waste, and the pancakes were undercooked with batter in the middle. The food seemed artificial. The best thing was the clear water in a glass. My friend had dinner and it was tasteless and off-flavor

If you are in the Lehigh Valley and you are looking for a clean diner, staffed with thoughtful individuals, and traditional breakfast favorites, then Superior is a great start. Overall the food follows the traditional diner mold. Personally, I have had breakfast there multiple times and I cannot say I was ever upset with the service or quality of the food. The prices are very reasonable, the service is attentive, and you are getting traditional breakfast foods quickly and made to order. The Superior is not like the trendy breakfast spot popping up across the Valley, but it is a classic that does a nice job creating quality breakfast foods.

We went here for breakfast some time ago. It was a Sunday morning, prime time breakfast hour. One of ordered eggs and the other eggs Benedict. Being that this is a diner, you would think that they would be ready to go on a Sunday morning for a breakfast crowd. We waited about 30 minutes after ordering until our waitress came over and told us that our meal should be out shortly. We waited another 15 before I tracked her down to find out the status. She explained, "There is no one here in the kitchen that knows how to make eggs Benedict." Ridiculous. You're a diner, open for breakfast. If you can't do breakfast what can you do? She ended up explaining that they had to pull one of the owners in the kitchen to make the dish. When our food finally arrived, the egg dish was cold. We explained it to our waitress, that the food was cold and we waited 45 minutes to an hour for our food. The only thing she did was remove the cost for the extra side of bacon we ordered. I went up to pay and explained how disappointed we were. The hostess said, "Hopefully next time will be better." I made it very clear that there would be no next time.

I love pie. This place has a large array of delicious, tasty pies. Especially the blueberry crumb pie. The food is not bad but not great either. It's still diner food. The service is either awesome or blah. When they hire constantly good servers I will visit more often.

The Superior has always been a staple in Emmaus, though the building was completely overhauled and the owners changed a few years ago. Don't let the facade fool you, this is basic bland diner food that equals most in the area. I have found the service to be very good. Like most area diners, they do have refrigerated case of huge baked desserts. They also offer wine and beer. I like that the breakfast menu is served all day, like in most diners. Parking is a bit tight and not made for larger cars and trucks.

Beautiful place... BLECH food.... never again. I have eaten in diners my whole life. Friendly service, but really POOR food. Got a spinach and feta omlette. When I cut into it, it was so raw inside that a river of stringy albumin ran onto my plate... totally gross. Sent it back. The waffle was like a tasteless, limp dish rag... worst I've ever had. I order oatmeal everywhere. Here it was the worst ever... like a bowl of sticky, tasteless wallpaper paste... I couldn't even finish it... the first time I've ever left any oatmeal (I've eaten it almost daily for over 25 years). The bathrooms are beautiful. All the food I ordered was sub-par in every regard.

Went here with brunch with the in-laws this past weekend, and it was super-tasty. I understand that the place underwent a massive renovation recently; alas, it's still a greek diner, but now with marble countertops in the ladies room. The good news is that the restaurant is immaculate and unpretentious, and still has room for the regulars. When we were there this past weekend, the prices were incredibly reasonable. I got a french dip for 5 bucks and change; other sandwiches were in the $3-4.50 range. My pal said her milkshake was especially good, and I was happy with the coffee. I had fun playing with my unintentionally magnetized silverware; I am easily amused. Name that alloy! [Quick Update: They aren't a 24 hour diner anymore. They close at 10 on weeknights and midnight on Friday and Saturday nights.]

A bit disappointed. Took a long time just for breakfast, coffee was weak, eggs and meat were cold. We left half our meal, the waitress was not to be found.

A restaurant with an identity crisis. The Superior used to be a diner, then morphed into a "fine dining-diner" with great diner breakfasts and sandwiches. Recently renovated inside and out, the Superior offers good-sounding breakfast fare and great lunch specials. I ate dinner there and that's where the experience turns Inferior. That lavender gloop on my goat cheese & artichoke stuffed chicken breast was not on the menu, and ruined my otherwise juicy, cheesy chicken. Its color and consistency - and even taste - resembled that goo that dentists use to make impressions. We figured out it was supposed to be some kind of blueberry sauce. The flavors on my plate were all over the place, very messy. The service and quality say diner, but the prices and atmosphere are confused, as am I.

LOVE this place! The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. The bar area is great, too -- very modern with plenty of drinks available, and they just recently starting serving freshly popped popcorn. The staff are always super nice and accommodating. We've had many large family functions there, as well as just me and my husband at the bar on a Sat. night -- always a great experience. Be sure to get breakfast for dinner!

Beautiful place but the food is nothing more than diner food. We have tried it three times now since it renovations several years ago but today was our last. Service on our last three visits has ranged from nasty to passable. Neither the wait staff nor the host/hostess are pleasant or personable. There are so many great places to eat that it is easy to pass on this place.

I ate here with my family for the first time last week. The diner is clean and well decorated. Very inviting, however the food is another story. I had a bacon cheedar burger that did not taste good. the burger seemed to have lots of filler and fat. The bun was very greasy, with a little bit of bacon, and it was served with chips. Serving chips on a plate, to me is not the best. The cold slaw was not edible. The coffee cups are small, they were half filled with two creamers, and we had to go out of our way to get the waitress to come back for a re-fill. The other meals were also not enjoyed. When the waitress saw almost the entire burge not eaten, I was never asked if there was a problem with the meal. The exterior does not match up with the food. The owner needs to re-think the quality and quantity of what is being served.
