The food is very good. My first critique of a mexican restaurant is always the salsa - and Fiesta Ole has excellent salsa. The several dishes I've ordered (once I find a dish I often re-order it) have all been excellent. The staff is great - friendly and very responsive to special requests. However, they are sometimes slow to get to your table. I think the prices are reasonable for the area. You won't be disappointed by your experience at Fiesta Ole!

I will not be going here again. The service was absolutely horrible! Occasionally coming to our table for orders, serving other tables before us, mixing up orders, bringing the appetizer after the meal, and waiting forever for the check. The staff was also sitting at booths while working, it was apparent they were not on breaks. That and the food was not that great. A bad experience all around.

I really can't recommend this place. Service was always slow whenever we went. One visit when our order came out they had the order all wrong. I ordered corn tacos shells and not flour and they gave me the wrong ones. I am allergic to wheat, so this is a huge mistake. I had them send the order back, not once did they apologize for the mix up. When the order came back out it was wrong again! This time they change the meat on the tacos and had chicken instead of beef! Trying to really give them a chance I sent it back one more time, but this time it came back out with the flour shells again!!! Ridiculous! Asking for a manager we told him the situation. Not once offered us anything or really apologized for the problem at all. Only said "Sorry our cooks can't read english very well". This was the second visit this happened at, the first time they only screwed up the order once, but still. Management obviously doesn't care about its customers at this restaurant at all.

Fiesta Ole is the best Mexican restaurant in the valley. Its so good I've eaten there over 50 times at least. The food is good to outstanding but maybe not memorable. It is more authentic than most Mexican restaurants in the area. The menu's selection is huge. The prices are insanely low. The lunch specials and happy hour drinks specials are honestly a steal. You can eat lunch for cheaper than a fast food joint and enjoy a much higher quality of food. On top of that the lunch specials which start at $4.25 are almost the same size if not the same size as the dinner portions. The drinks at happy hour don't have much liquor but its buy one get one free so what more can you ask for. I do wish it would've stayed BYOB. Honestly though I'm not sure how this place makes any money with their pricing. The service is insanely fast its almost disturbing. You will be served food within 5 minutes of ordering 90% of the time. Sometimes I blink and it just shows up. The staff is generally very attentive and friendly as well. The decor is pretty nice considering it used to be a Golden Corall. There is mostly booths which is really comfortable. You usually don't have to wait to be seated. Overall Best Mexican Food in the Lehigh Valley

Fiesta Ole fills a void due in large part to the significant shortcomings within the Lehigh Valley for quality Mexican food. Overall the building is fairly dingy, rundown, and not particularly inviting as a place to eat dinner. In my experience the food can be hit or miss. Recently, I visited and felt that the chips with salsa / guacamole were not as good as they had been in the past. The chips were not particularly fresh or warm, the salsa lacked any distinct flavor, and guacamole also seemed flavorless. Our entrees were good. We had a shrimp diablo and chicken fajitas. The portions were nice sized, the food was hot, and the flavors were good. However, the overall experience was not as good as I had previously had at this same location. On the positive side the service was very attentive and on top of anything we needed!

Fiesta Ole is a mediocre Mexican restaurant. I sat at the bar and had a beer or two and some Shrimp enchiladas for dinner. one of my shrimp wasn't peeled. The flavors were not bad, but the presentation was lackluster. Nothing really stood out as terrible about the place, but I wasn't at all impressed by the experience. The decor was a little cheezy, looked kind of like a child's drawing of what the southwest would look like. The bartender was polite. Don't think I'll be back anytime soon.

The location is great with ample parking and easy access. The facility is nicely decorated and clean. The food is average, nothing special, but the note of distinction is their Margarita. The worst Margarita I have ever experienced and I have dined in dozens and dozens of Mexican restaurants here and in Mexico. Obviously a cheap mix with some added cheap tequila, it tastes like Janitor-in-a drum. Undrinkable! Maybe it was a bad night for their bartender but I would never try another since the first was worse than terrible.

Ladies and gentlemen I give you piss-poor management at it's finest. Short story : The food here is actually pretty good, but the terrible service and downright awful management make this place a bust. Do take out if you must, and check your order thrice. I normally don't get into too much detail but this was a sh*t show: We went in for a meal with a larger party (10 people) which we had called about a full day in advance. They put us in a semi-separated room with NO heat and one server. They had outdoor propane heaters inside, which didn't work. (Which despite being cold I was thankful for as it's probably a fire code violation) Food took FOREVER and when it did arrive, realized that despite ordering a vegetarian enchilada with my bean burrito combo they brought me out a chicken enchilada. I asked him to just give me an empty plate so I could knock the chicken enchilada off my plate and he could just bring out a vegetarian one separately. Well I never got a plate and after another epic wait I could finally see him in the distance approaching the cold lair they left us in. My eyes began to light up only to see him look at the enchilada realize it was YET AGAIN chicken, about face and dissappear into the kitchen before I could proclaim my sudden decision to quit my life-long vegetarianism. No sorry, no free enchilada, no heat.... no more of my business.

Terrible service is one and only way to describe this place. If you wait 35 minutes to be acknowledged on a Monday by someone at the front so you can be seated, you know you have arrived at a truly awful restaurant.

  • Corey S.

Nope! Every time I get in the mood for Mexican, but don't feel like driving this places name comes up and I cringe. The place gets 1 star for what appears and taste like homemade salsa and chips. Oh and another thing the same exact meal you order at lunch is a minimum of $3 more at dinner. If I had the stomach to actually go twice I would take a picture of the lunch Chimi, and then the Dinner chimi meal. You would think I copied and pasted. The only difference is the escalated dinner price. I had a house margarita here. It tasted like dirty feet. UGH.

I want to give this place more stars but I can't. Sub par service due to language barriers and sub par "authentic" food. We gave this place a final chance when we saw "new menu" advertised. It was a huge disappointment. Won't go back.

Came here today on a Monday afternoon and without a doubt the worst service experience I have ever had in a restaurant hands down, food was OK but our waitress never came by for anything, had to send for her ,had to ask for chips, drinks etc, will never go back .

Terrible place to eat. Bad service bad food. Good portions of food straight from the microwave. No flavor. Called for a to go order and was treated terrible telling me to call another time when they were less busy. I don't recommend!

  • Christian P.

Good food. But when you order to go. You can always count on them not giving you guacamole with an order that comes with it. Plus they cry when you ask for a lime.

    (3)
  • Albie P.

This is clearly NOT authentic Mexican food. Anyone else who says different has never had authentic Mexican. Big disappointment and way too pricy for the type of food that they serve here. Never going back again.

Being from California with authentic Mexican food this place was sort of a disappointment. The food was good & the portions were huge, it just didn't live up to the standards i have set. Their prices are a little high as well

Worst meal I've had in a long time. Nowhere close to authentic Mexican food. Chimichanga was a runny sloppy mess.

i have been to their whitehall location and decided to give this location a try. very bad choice on my part. it took ten minutes for the waiter to come to our table. took drinks order and disappeared for another few. finally showed up with some chips and salsa. we ordered queso which was promptly brought by another server. we finally got our dinner which was average tasting. neither did he come to check how the food was he never offered to refill our drinks. i think there are many other decent places for mexican food. avoid at all cost

Amazing food. I am never disappointed with anything I eat here. However, I give it only 3 stars and I feel like that might be a little too generous. Our service was just awful! They were clearly under staffed which shouldn't happen on a Saturday night. Our waitress was very rude and not attentive at all. She did not know anything about the menu. Everything took so long, with an exception for the timeliness of our food. Once it came out I has an enjoyable time with my family and all of us loved our food. I would go back again because the food is so good but am still disappointed with the service.

Awful experience. My husband and I were hungry for mexican and decided to go here. Let's say we wish we hadnt. Used a Groupon voucher for one appetizer (under 11.99), 2 entrees (under 13.99), and 2 desserts for $29. Thought it was a good deal. Only to find out that when you have a Groupon there is a "special" menu to order off of with very little choices (and this was never mentioned in the Groupon ad). Service to follow was awful. Took ten minutes to get a drink and the waitress seemed annoyed that we wanted to order. Halfway through the meal, we overheard her telling the table next to us that there wasn't any fried ice cream because "the kitchen staff was new and she didn't get paid to do their job any more so she wasn't making it". Keep in mind- this was the ONLY dessert off the special menu that I was interested in. When it came time for dessert I asked if there was anything to replace the ice cream and I was told "yeah I guess a chocolate peanut butter pie". We took it to go. Would never recommend this to anyone!

The food here is good, but service not so much. They did not seem to understand how to split an entree for two diners, and they got the reservation wrong. Do not go during cold weather. The place is frigid, despite the portable heaters.

After going to the Whitehall Fiesta Olé several months ago and loving it we decided to give Emmaus a try. Big mistake. From the service to the food portions it was a bad experience. When walking to the front door we almost fell on ice.. Not a good start. The hostess seemed completely clueless. After waiting a while our server who didn't appear he wanted to even be there came over. We were given chips and salsa and then offered a cheese or guacamole. We opted for the cheese.. Horrible! It was watery and lacked any sort of flavor. If that wasn't bad enough we were charged $4.25! Very deceiving. If your trying to up sell something at least let the customer know they'll be charged. Drinks were then brought over and our order taken. My girlfriend ordered shrimp soup as an appetizer and we also ordered our entrées. Everything ended up coming out together. The shrimp soup was bland and had only a couple pieces of shrimp. Our waiter then came over and offered to refill my drink. After about 15-20 minutes he finally came back and asked "did someone take your drink?" Uhmm yeah.. YOU! Another 5 minutes later he finally came back. Absolutely no motivation or attempt to satisfy the customer.. We don't ask for much but come on! The entire time we were never asked how things were. They also had Judge Judy blaring on the TV at the bar.. I guess that's why no one was sitting there. The entire time we saw no manager. We just wanted to leave.. No check or anything? Finally our waiter came over with the check. He saw me put my card right with the check.. but still walked away. Thinking he would be right back we were wrong. After about 10 minutes we had to chase the hostess down because we saw no one else. She then went into the kitchen to find our waiter. He returned so we paid and left. I know we weren't the only ones that night who had issues with the service. Another customer came up to the hostess at one point and asked if anyone was coming to their table as they had been sitting there for 15 minutes with no service. They weren't even busy. There is just no excuse. It appeared that none of the employees even wanted to be there. The vibe was a slight bit uncomfortable. If you feel the urge for Mexican food try the Whitehall Fiesta Olé. This was the first time we never left a tip when out. Well here is the tip.. Avoid this place!

We went for Mothers Day. The food was good. Everything we had was delicious and fulfilling. However, there service was not so good. Our server didnt speak English well, and also didn't know anything about the menu. He kept having to say let me go ask. Our drinks weren't refilled, and a few other things went wrong. Everyone was nice, but really unorganized.

Food is good but service is horrible. This place used to be great. We could go in and get good food, quick and friendly service all for a good price. In the last year the service has gone downhill fast. The worst is the woman server who is extremely rude to guests she doesn't know but will spend long amounts of time gabbing with guests she knows. We've already had to wait way too long for her to even acknowledge that we were even sitting there. Tonight we waited until our food came out to get the chips and salsa, which used to be placed on the table right as we sat down. Not sure if they are trying to cut back on how much chips and salsa they serve by waiting until you have your food. It's a shame but we won't be back again.

Ok, just to be fair, I am Mexican so it's hard for me to ok a Mexican restaurant. A lazy Sunday afternoon my roommate and I went to have lunch at Fiesta Ole. The place and decor are nice, I ordered some green enchiladas. The salsa verde they used was very nice, I was pleasantly surprised it was actually spicy! But the rice and the plate in general was seriously nothing to go crazy about. The orchata water was the worst part of the meal; a very sad attempt. My roommate had the taco burrito plate, again, nothing special. Niether fully tex-mex nor fully Mexican. No real reason to return, but not a terrible place.

I was surprised to find that their "cheese sauce with halapenos" was not the standard yellow cheese, but a white delicious cheese with chopped halapenos. Their "special dinner" (formerly" little bit of everything") has yet to disappoint. Also, the salsa that they include with chips is fantastic.

My wife and I and various friends have eaten here at least a dozen times. For a casual place that has great Mexican food this restaurant is hard to beat. Picture an Applebees that is done up in a Spanish motif with all Mexican food and you've got the general gist. We've never been disappointed with anything we've ordered here. The food is delicious, the prices are incredibly reasonable and the servings are HUGE. They have a full bar so you can get drinks with your meal. Service has always been great though some of the servers are more personable than others. Friday nights they usually have a guitarist playing all kinds of standards on an electric. It adds a nice ambiance to the restaurant. It's the best Mexican restaurant that I know of in the area.

    (5)
  • Candi K.

Slightly better than average Mexican place. Servings are pretty large. Servers get a little overwhelmed at times. They were busier when they were BYOB. I normally just get a beef enchilada and a side of rice and beans and steal some of whatever my husband orders. They do bring in live entertainment from time to time. It's hit or miss. You can also reserve the back room for parties.

GREAT NACHOS!!!! they also have really great combo meals. The chile relleno is delicious and the enchiladas are yummy too. On sundays kids eat free with the purchase of an adult meal!! My hubby likes the carne asada tacos, those come with a spicy sauce that is amazing!!! I like the speedy gonzalas lunch special and my son loves their rice!

I love this place. The food is authentic and great. I've never ordered anything here that I didn't like. While the "Burrito Fiesta Ole" is a staple of mine, the chimichanga and enchiladas make guest appearances from time to time. Sometimes when I'm eating the food I get so excited that I bounce. I'm not afraid to admit it... Speaking of guest appearances, they occasionally have live music. They bring in a mariachi band sometimes, and other times it's a solo guy who plays 2 instruments and sings at the same time. Price - They are reasonably priced and have half price lunch specials - many of which are the same portions as their dinner entrees. And you always get free chips and salsa. Also you can get coupons from the back of local Giant grocery receipts, in the paper, and others. Service - It depends. I've gotten great service here, and terrible service. Some of the wait staff are better than others. I think that's true anywhere.

I'm afraid we won't be going back to fiesta ole in emmaus. The past several meals have been seriously lacking in flavor. And then this most recent time we were hustled at our table by the walking musician Soloman. He asked to play us a song and at the end of it DEMANDED a tip. He also pushily suggested we buy one of his paintings. If you do go, and the musician wants to play you a song - tell him "NO THANKS"!

Went for lunch. Food came out very quickly. Tasted great and was inexpensive. Has a chain restaurant sort of feel to it.

The food is average here. I have tried this restaurant more than five times and it is Ok, but nothing to write home about.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
