We have eaten here for numerous lunches (probably 20 times) over the years and generally have been very satisfied. The owners strive to use fresh ingredients And many unique combinations to create a different experience each time. Also, they include many different seasonal specialties at various times of the year. It is best in the summer and autumn with the wide range of fresh fruits and veggie combos but reliable year-round. For a sandwich that takes a step away from the ordinary, it's an excellent option. Easily the best sandwiches in Elizabethtown (a food-starved town if there ever was one).

Holy sheets. This place is terrible. The décor is dated and borderline creepy, just like their staff. Why they think it's okay to charge $10 for a quiche an serve it on a plastic plate is beyond me. Coffee is weak and terrible. Also served in plastic. Tables and table cloths... also plastic. I ate on the patio, so I don't know if the inside experience is the same, but I can't tell you how overwhelmingly creeped out I was. There was literally not a single person sitting inside, and for good reason. Creepy creepy creepy. The place has potential, but it is certainly not utilized. HATED the food. HATED it. It's ridiculously close to my house, so I would LOVE to even kinda like this place. But despite the charming garden, I will never NEVER never eat here again. And now I refer to it as "Flowers in the Attic". Not good at all. Seriously terrible. OH, and on the survey questions under ambiance, Yelp should add an option: Non existent.

Have never liked their attitude here. Friendly if you meet their expectations of what their customers should be. Otherwise, maybe not.

Stopped in for lunch because the bf and I were in the area. Loved the sandwiches and blueberry lemonade! Everything was fresh and really enjoyed the cute patio! Highly recommend for a laid back lunch.

I would like to respond to the gentleman complaining about the restaurant wanting to charge him for his kids Cheerios. For a restaurant/dining establishment it is a huge health code violation to have people bringing outside food/drink in. Be it customer or employee. Also, bringing food/drink into a place where it is their sole purpose to sell food/drink to people is also an issue and if you think about it for a second does not make much sense. That is why many places have cake cutting fees or corkage fees when it is applicable. So while I cannot comment on their attitude toward children, wanting to charge someone for bringing in outside food is not unreasonable. Also, when will people learn that some restaurants are just appropriate for children!! Flowers in the Kitchen sounds like that type of place...sounds like you need to make sure you know what type of restaurant you are going to.

Agree with previous reviewers regarding the "Child-Hostile" setting. My one and a half year old was playing with something that was on the table and some guy came over and basically corrected us for "allowing" her to play with it. Will absolutely never go there again and quite honestly, every time I go to the Public Library located a few doors down, I make it a point to park in front of Flowers in the Kitchen just to irritate the management. (Finding a parking spot downtown is notoriously difficult)

Enjoyed my lunch there today. The food is fresh, made on the premises and excellent. There is also an outdoor garden area which has sunshine and flowers to enjoy in spring, summer and fall. There is no TV or canned music, conversations allowed!

If you have children, do not go here! When our kids were small, we went here for Mother's Day. They were not kid friendly at all and wanted to charge us a plate fee for my daughter's cherrios that she was eating out of a bag! I have heard from many other parents of similiar experiences. If you don't have kids, this may be the place for you, if you do, don't bother. You will be looked down on the minute you walk in the door. Just wanted to add we were a party of six, and my daughter was under two at the time.

Great for lunch. Good sandwiches, soups, salads, and desserts ( get pie!) some items use their ingredients from their garden. Good prices.

This place is a family run establishment. All of the herbs are grown right there. My husband and I went here for dinner once,on a cold winter night. We sat indoors ,my husband didn't like the fact that it we paying to eat in someone's house. However the food was delicious- we had pasta and chicken piccata ,salad and a chocolate cheesecake.Although we had a nice time,it was a rather strange experience,as we felt like voyeurs. We went back in summer for brunch and ate in the patio that overlooked the garden. We became instant fans of this place. It was wonderful seeing the owner pick the herbs and peppers and come out with piping hot omelets. We have been back numerous times for brunch- you can take a look at the garden ,whilst waiting for your food and sip your coffee. I must say it is a bit of a wait for your food ,so it doesn't make for a quick breakfast stop. Hours are weird,so it is a good idea to call up and check the times, plus they don't take credit cards,so make sure to carry cash along.
