This is a nice little diner. The staff is friendly. The food is reasonable and not over priced. The food is good I had the tuna wrap and I enjoyed it. Others in my table had the ham club sandwich they loved the bacon in it.

Stopped in for a late breakfast 9:30 am on a Wed morning. My coffee mug had lipstick on the rim and was visibly stained on the inside, after mentioning this to the waitress she took it away and I got up and roamed over to another empty table and grabbed another upside-down mug. That one, too, was visibly dirty in the inside, as well as the next 7 mugs! Finally the waitress brought me a clean mug, looked freshly wiped with a napkin. At that point it didn't matter how good the baked oatmeal was I couldn't eat more than a bite or two. Waitress was nice and friendly, but didn't let on like dirty mugs were a problem. Looked around for a mgr but didn't see anyone in charge to mention the mugs to.

Country Meadows is exactly what you would expect from a small family owned restaurant in the middle of PA. The food is good- and they are apparently famous for their "broiled" chicken. Personally, I have never been brave enough to try it- but others say it is good. My favorite menu item is the sweet potato fries- you MUST get these, they are delicious. All of the food is low priced- so you can get alot of bang for your buck. They also have a few meal deals, all of which are great values. They run weekly specials- on the weekends they have clam/seafood cookouts. Mondays they have an all you can eat special. The restaurant has a homey-diner feel. It doesn't appear to be the cleanest place, and the decorations are outdated. The service is okay- a bit slow. This is a good place for a cheap "home cooked" meal.

The service is very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere struck me as going for homey country. It's a large dining room, quite personal and cozy, and very welcoming. I ate the cheese steak sandwich and it wasn't bad at all, this seems to be a good place to get a solid lunch for a fair price. My friend got the taco salad without chicken...so they made sure to let us know that they did not charge her for it, very kind. Home style service with decent food that'll fill ya up, that's why I'd suggest a meal here.

Just served an old, hard piece of chicken, then got lip from the waitress and manager. Now I remember why I stopped going here when they changed locations.

Old fashioned. Meet your grandparents. It is filled with oldies and locals, very conservative PA Dutch family types. The food is simple and it is very modestly priced. I love to go here and have the very inexpensive hamburger or the special chicken dinners. Everything is good. Very simple. It is like going back to the fifties. Well, that is Lancaster County anyway.Very relaxing. You can tell by the girth that the customers like good old fashioned cooking and plenty of it.

Great home style food! Price point is right, and the service is always friendly! We have been coming here for years. Sally is an excellent host, who serves fantastic food. Make sure to try the pumpkin stuffed French toast!

I have eaten here a few times, but was very disappointed last time. The food is decent, typical, diner food. Their sandwiches are pretty good. But, if you are not a regular, be ready for poor service. I attempted to gain my waitresses attention multiple times for a refill, then for the check. This whole time, she was chatting about personal things with two other tables. After waiting for 15 min. for the check, I finally got another waitress's attention. Ridiculous.

Unimpressed to say the least. The waffles were heavy and undercooked in the middle, the bacon was over-cooked and had an after-taste and worse of all was the scrapple... Greasy and tasted rancid. The diner that time forgot...

Food is so delicious, home cooked hearty meals. Every time I go here to eat the service is friendly and fast. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Etown.

This is a great place for breakfast. Be sure to try the scrapple, which is cow guts fried up into a grey paste. If the waitress looks at you in disgust as you order it you know it has to be good.

This place is terrible! Poor service and poor food; also whoever the food runner was this past Saturday was very rude. My waitress acted as if me being there (it was just me) and ordering for one person was inconveniencing her and not worth her time. Then when my food was brought out, not only did the food runner not know where it was going, but instead of asking the server, she proceeded to auction it off by asking "who order the..." and then in the same breath proceeded to make a judgment and said "oh my gosh who ordered all this food?!" Plus the my omelet and baked oatmeal was not very good. The oatmeal had no taste and the omelet was terribly salty. The only positive thing about this place and the service (if you can call it that) was that the host(est) seemed to know what she was doing (she was prompt and polite). I am a server and have worked in the hospitality industry for almost 10 years now and I after my first experience at Country Meadows Restaurant in Elizabethtown I would never go back. I am not sure if that place just survives off of it being the 'local' restaurant or the 'friendly faces' but nothing about that place was good. After reading the other reviews about how the breakfast is excellent I am not sure if they are mistaking this place for somewhere else with a similar name or they have never eaten good food.
