I had a couple people tell me Italian Village is the best pizza in Ebensburg. Since I'm going to be in Ebensburg for work on and off for the next year I figured I'd give it a try. Ordered a large pizza and wings for dinner. The pizza was New York style just like you'll find at most neighborhood pizza places and it was OK. The size was good and the listed price makes it reasonable comparitive to what I'm used to. Unfortunately they gouged us on the price because we ordered it with multiple toppings and they nailed us for every one. If you're not giving the full amount of the topping that would be on a single topping pizza, don't charge me like you are. But I guess that's our fault for not confirming it. Onto the wings. I judge wings on 3 primary categories, size of the wing, flavor and heat of the sauce. The size of the wings was good however the flavor was pretty weak. The sauce was very thin and didn't stick to the wing that well. I ordered the wings hot but they really didn't bring any heat. Being an Upstate NY boy they just didn't make the grade. Now it's time for the overall rating and I'm conflicted. Do I rate Italian Village against pizza I've had in NY or Philly? It doesn't stand a chance. Or do I grade on a curve and rate it based on where it stands in comparision to the other options in Ebensburg? Which after seeing some of the other local options being consumed at the jobsite I will agree that it probably is the best pizza in Ebensburg. Quite honestly I wouldn't even try what the guys were eating ... and my fat ass will eat damn near anything. After some thinking I think I'll grade on the curve. If you're reading this you're looking for a pizza in Ebensburg and when you want a pizza, you want a pizza. On the pizza alone Italian Village would get 3 stars, but I like wings with my pizza and their sub par ones are costing them a star. In closing, this rating is kinda like winning a gold medal in the Special Olympics. Yeah you won, but you're still handicapped. Italian Village isn't the best pizza I've ever had, not even close, but it's the best you can do in Ebensburg.

Nice little pizza place. Good portions. The small stromboli was surprisingly big. The nachos are really good. We go back just for those. Overall, not bad. Nice staff, good service.

It's a comfortable atmosphere with good food and extremely good prices. We'll come back again if we pass through!

Family friendly Ebensburg hangout with standard pizzaria fare. Interesting and tasty buffalo chicken pizza...but like another reviewer noted, I feel like I was charged a lot for very little topping. Still, when in Ebensburg, I'm happy to have Italian Village as an option. Too bad the restaurant isn't opened later. Called for a to-go order at 9:05 on Sunday night only to find the place closed.

A delightful little place in downtown Ebensburg. The seating area is open and "seat yourself". The food is always prepared while you wait, and is always served up hot. The portions are large, and you can't beat the price. Whether you want lunch, dinner or a snack, they will satisfy! Besides pizza, they also make a variety of sandwiches, wraps, stromboli, fried foods, and hoagies. When I am in the area, I almost always make a stop at the Italian Village with my family.

Back up to 5 stars. It looks like the change in pepperoni was short term. They are back to the original product and the pizza is fantastic again!

This place was good when I was in high school. That should about sum it all up. It's alright I suppose, but it closes early, has a mildly incompetent staff of delivery folk, and has been declining in quality over the past few years. IVP has no high-caliber ingredient sourcing (just your standard big-supplier stuff), menu specialties, or over-the-top deals that are good enough to make up for what this place lacks. One extra star for being an improvement over the national pizza chain in town.
